Still drawing a blank as to what Kaori should do next. Currently she's lying in bed painting.
Well that didn't take long to get up. I'll get to working on something tonight and post it here.

Name: "I am of the Yamada family, my name is Shiro."

Profession: "I suppose that most know very little about my Order, in that case I will explain. We are called Keikai, in the common tongue it means The Vigilant, we are a sect of warrior monks who answer only to the Abbot in the Temple of Suhara. We safeguard the Temple of Suhara and all of it's residents. We are also occasionally called to other places in the world to help maintain peace and balance. Keikai like myself have all been blessed by the spirit of Suhara at birth and hence can manipulate the energy of the world through concentration of will much in the same way that Mages and Necromancers do in other parts of the world. "

Age: "I am thirty two years of age."

Appearance:

Preferred Weapon: "I am trained in the use of a sword but I no longer carry one. I rely on the blessing of Suhara, what you call magic."

Hometown: "I was born in the Temple of Suhara, which is not uncommon. My father and mother were both Acolytes, monks who have devoted their life to preserving our teachings and educating younger generations."

Why you've taken up the quest: "Why does anyone take such a task upon themselves? I committed a great sin. I killed the Abbot of the Temple of Suhara and seven of my Keikai brothers and sisters. In my youth I was very competitive and attempted to perform a taboo ritual that would grant me strength by fusing my soul with that of a malicious spirit in order to become the greatest Keikai who ever lived. It is extremely dangerous for the person performing the ritual and anyone around them. I thought myself above such danger and summoned a malicious spirit to bond with but the spirit was much too strong for me alone. The Abbot and ten Keikai arrived to stop the ritual but, except for three of them, lost their lives during the ensuing battle to cast out the spirit from this world. Regardless of my intent, I was responsible for a great tragedy and I was placed in isolation until a new Abbot could be appointed and later judge me for my actions. I was left in isolation for several years until I was finally brought to the new Abbot who has ordained that I seek out the Four and Fifty Pieces of Sudoku as penance for my sin. I must collect every piece in order to atone."

Personality: "In my youth I was quite arrogant but I have learned in my isolation that balance is necessary for everything we do. Just as I must commit Sudoku to atone for my sin. I am much more collected now than I was as a young man.

Inventory: "The world will provide for me so that I may provide in return."

Hey, looks like we've got Abbott and Costello onboard.

Does that make me Lou or Bud?
The long walk back up the hill was dreadfully quiet. Neither of them spoke a word until they reached Yamaku where Kyle apologized for the last time before handing her all the food and heading to the boys' dorm. Kaori wanted to say something nice but nothing came to mind. She just watched him walk off until he was out of sight and headed into her own dorm to put up the food. As she entered the dorm kitchen and started putting away packages of meat and tofu, she couldn't help but think about what had happened. Why was he so angry at me? Is he always like that? It would be a shame for all this food to go to waste. Maybe I'll surprise him with something simple later to make amends. That should be okay right? "Hey there Kairu Senpai! I just happened to be in the neighborhood-" No, that's stupid. "Just thought I would pop in and give you this." That doesn't work either... I'll think of something... probably.

While debating with herself she had finished putting up her groceries. She had missed the opportunity to take the photos she wanted today so she decided to go in and paint instead. Maybe she would better understand Kyle's upset if she explored it a bit. Kaori made her way over to her room and locked the door behind her. She closed the curtains to make sure no one could see inside and got completely undressed. Being alone like this felt liberating, she didn't have to 'tuck it away' and have that constant fear in the back of her mind that someone might notice. She took her legs off and set them next to the bed as she lay down with her tablet and started to recreate Kyle at the moment he blew up at her.
I suppose I should officially add to the numbers here instead of pestering you on skype about proverbs that make no sense to a western audience due to the existence of salmon.
Hey Shadow! I'm most interested in the Brother x Sister thing but I'm not really sure what kind of setting you are looking for. I'm a big fan of science fiction so anything with that element would appeal to me the most. Also, I should note that because there isn't currently a way for me to know when I get a PM other than the number changing it would be a lot easier to RP on a thread if that isn't too much bother for you.
"Yea...school or... damn it Kaori listen, I can't just accept this food without paying for it, it just doesn't sit right with me..."

Kaori jumped at his outburst. She wasn't sure what the words 'damn it' meant but she could tell it wasn't very nice and he was clearly upset. At that moment it was very apparent just how much taller he was compared to her. It was as if she had disturbed some ancient spirit and now it was towering over her in anger. Had she violated some American custom that she wasn't aware of? She really couldn't understand why it was such a big deal to him. She had decided to pay for the food herself because it wasn't an inconvenience. Kaori wouldn't have agreed to cook for him if she didn't think she could fulfill that promise.

She could hear other people talking who had noticed his outburst.
"Why is he angry at that girl?"
"Let's just leave them alone..."
"He's yelling at his girlfriend..."

This made her feel even smaller and she started to blush. She didn't like being out in the open like this for people to see. She looked down at the ground, unsure of what to say. Earlier, when he bolted after her to return her tripod, he had the same look about him. It was scary but there was something else about it, something she didn't quite recognize. It wasn't anger exactly, it was more like... something else. She stood there for a few moments, clearly he felt like he had been wronged but why was such a seemingly trivial thing being treated as a major offense? Kaori couldn't imagine why, all she could do was apologize. "I-I'm sorry... Senpai"
She physically slapped his hand.

I'm really sorry if I'm making people uncomfortable! I can hold it down for you all if you like, I don't want to make anyone feel bad.

Don't hold yourself back on my account. That would be stupid and would only hinder yourself and the RP in general.

What do you mean by strength of an articulate person?

Not an articulate person but an articulate hand. Where an articulate person is very concise and deliberate with their speech, an articulate hand is very concise and deliberate in it's movement. So basically she has ninja hands...

Edit: Also that was not the first sentence so I was confused at first.

I find Ana's post dense, if i'm honest. I know this is the pot calling the kettle black, given that my own posts have their own but really, i'm fine with your posts, Latino. They keep to the point.

Looking back at it I can't exactly have a deeply intellectual and emotional moment when I'm shopping for groceries. I'll get to the poetry of being an artist later I guess.
