Personality: Bud is a very independent type of person who likes to play by his own rules, but this doesn't stop him from working with others. Being the son of a relatively unknown god, Bud hasn't heard anything from his dad for as long as he can remember. This has made him have a more loner type personality and he hates others who seek to force their will upon people. Bud is rather conservative in terms of his political views, he doesn't believe in big government, but he has deep respect for war veterans and policemen who lay their life on the line. He judges people by their actions more than their words and regularly will tell a very opinionated person to put their money were their mouth is.

He is rather patriotic and very to be a Texan. He hates northerners or Yankees as he likes to call them sometimes, who think themselves above people who live in more rural parts of the country. Bud despises intellectual snobs and has regularly gotten into fist fights with wise asses trying to bad mouth his home state. He loves football almost as much as he loves riding his motorcycle. He is somewhat religious and goes to church, but he isn't too fundamental in his beliefs, Catholicism is his religion. Ironically even though his father is a god, Bud still believes in the monotheism and views his father as more of a divine spirit than a deity.

Bud is a firm believer in self improvement and thinks that everyone has room to grow and better themselves with without the aid of others. Although he believes in capitalism, Bud still thinks that corporations should have boundaries and not outsource jobs to other nations. As for other superhumans, he tolerates them as long they don't do evil or force their will upon him. Bud has no qualms with killing his enemies if they push him too far and won't hesitate to kill if the situation calls for it.

Powers/Abilities:

Demigod physiology: As with most demigods Bud is granted enhanced physical capabilities as well as unique powers associated with his divine parent. His strength, speed, reflexes and senses are ten times stronger than an Olympic athlete human and is durable enough to take a bullet without suffering too much damage as long as it's not the head or heart. Bud also has a healing factor which can repair wounds and fix broken bones much faster than a normal human, but it won't stop vital wounds from killing him.

Magical Crafting: As the demigod son of Horanor The God of Craftsmanship, Metallurgy and Fire Bud can create weapons, armor and objects with magical properties. He literally can combine the science of craftsmanship with the mystical powers of magic granted to him by his godly parent. His powers allow him to create things at a much faster rate than a human, but still takes time especially if he has to summon the material with his magical powers.

Metal Senses: Bud has a sixth sense, which can detect the exact location of any type of metal even if he can't see it.

Fire Resistance: He has a magical defense against fire and thus is very hard to burn or freeze thanks to his high bodily temperatures.

Flaming hands: Bud can ignite his hands with super hot flames as means of offense in case he is without a weapon and he can also heat up his hands to burn through metal.

Equipment summoning: This powers allows him to summon his equipment.

Weaknesses: He is vulnerable to silver and has no special defenses against it, it is also harder for him to craft it. All of his weapons' magical properties draw power from his massive well of magical energy, but his reserves of magic within him will become depleted after large amounts of combat and it takes a long time to fully replenish his reserves. Water can also greatly weaken his flaming hands power.

Weapons: Bud has a plethora of weapons which include.

A Harley Davidson motorcycle That can fly at a top speed of mach 4 and fire off blasts of searing heat, and is as tough as a tank. The bike also produces a flaming contrail when it flies. On land it can break the sound barrier, but can only hit a top speed of mach 1.5. Bud can summon the motorcycle to him with his will should he ever become separated from it. The vehicle runs on a mixture of magic and heat which it draws from the environment around it and stores it up inside it when it is not in use, but its source of power can be depleted if it takes too much damage. After a three hour recharge it can run for nine hours.

Magical Gauntlets that can fire off magical blasts that hit with powerful concussive force and burn his enemies.

A magic sword with a super hot blade.

A fiery chain which he uses to ensnare his enemies.

A Winchester Model 1200 that can fire off explosive rounds.

Gear: he has a breastplate that can protect him gunfire and explosions, but it won't stop him from being injured by a very powerful bomb.

Skills: superb motorcyclist, excellent marksman and very skilled swordsmen. Incredible skill in normal craftsmanship and metallurgy.

Personality: A cheerful and easygoing person with an easily distracted and immature nature. He tends to always be flippant even about more serious matters like life and death, particularly when it comes for him. There are very few people he will listen to or respect but those he does have lived a 'full' life although what defines that depends on the person.

Powers/Abilities: http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Physics_Manipulation: It's a pretty vague power but he mainly uses it to convert energy from on form into another very rapidly, giving or changing vectors of objects that he comes into direct contact with, and finally density manipulation. There have been three occasions where he has had to use his powers to convert matter from one form to another but all those times left him exhausted and unable to use any further abilities for at least an hour.

Weaknesses: In order for him to manipulate something he needs to have direct contact with it. Furthermore it takes a great deal of concentration and due to his nature he tends to only be able to maintain that level for a moment or two before it breaks and he needs to have changed whatever is needed lest it backfires. Taking his necklace off would leave him in a mire of self-doubt and shyness and only a desperate situation could pull him out of it.

Weapons: Coins. They are just regular coins and he spends them and receives them but he uses them as a ranged attack when he applies a vector to them.

Gear: He wears a silver pentacle on a black chain around his neck. It has no special powers but having it close by gives him confidence he would otherwise not have.

Skills: He is fairly competent on the theory of magical rituals and summons as well as pacts and the various demons that they can be made with but only the theory and the only practical experience he has is what he has observed.

Brief History: Art was born into an Irish coven of witches. Nothing like what Promethues was looking for but they were powerful in their own way. They had grimoirs and tomes about all kinds of demons and would regularly undertake rituals in order to bring about whatever they desired in exchange for certain favours to whatever demonic entities they were worshiping. Art's powers had nothing to do with anything magical however they were first discovered in the midst of his rite of passage as the demon he was meant to pledge his life to spurned him as abhorrent. His parents were uncertain about what to do with this but he used it as the excuse he needed to run away and set out on his own as the rebel of the witches.

For a few years he learned everything he could by sneaking into schools as a potential student and sitting in on lessons. Every now and then a teacher would catch on and either kick him out immediately or try to convince him to join them. Art always refused and moved on as he wanted but he retained what he learned and only wanted to learn more. One day that didn't particularly stand out he was hit by a truck instead of being squishified the truck reached an instantaneous standstill. Everyone simply assumed the breaks kicked in at the nick of time. The driver hadn't seen Art at all and no breaks had been activated but that details wasn't noticed by anyone. Later that week he intervened in a group of kids bullying a young girl.

He simply wanted to put a hand on the one young man's chest to halt him. Instead the man was hit by a truck's worth of energy and turned into an ugly stain against a solid concrete wall. After being launched through a similar wall that had been in front of that one. That had been the first time Art had used his powers and he recoiled from himself and sought help from the only source he knew: His family.

They were reluctant but his younger sister became insistent and it was she that gave him his pentacle in acceptance back into the coven. For another few years life was good and peaceful as he remained an outsider to his family and learned what he could about himself from otherworldly beings that somehow always knew more about what he could do than anyone else. Slowly he began to develop his powers before bidding his family farewell once and for all and heading to New York at the age of 19.

That was where he found out about a group called Prometheus and he approached them, with some difficulty, and volunteered himself to join up. They were reluctant to accept him until he told them about his powers.

Other: Given his place of birth he has an Irish accent. He finds to much noise unpleasant and converts a fair amount of any soundwaves that contact him into stored energy which means that from time to time it can be hard to get his attention if in a place with an unpleasant sound. He can hear but it's very muffled.

I'm quite interested in this. When you say "celestials," do you mean Galactus-esque, Power Cosmic characters? Because I have an idea for a half-celestial character. It depends on how willing you are to accept a character with a Superman-esque "flying brick" powerset.

I mean just any sort of out realm beyond that of earth and other planets. Celestial I normally mean like heavenly, though this can be intreperted in many different ways. Some that are considered celestial are unrecognizable in terms of divinity. They are the stand ins for space alien races of which very few have been discovered, the main one being openly hostile.

An Earth much like our own, but very different at the same time. One where the cold war turned hot and devastated many nations in the following battles but an uneasy peace eventually emerged. A world where ancient civilizations escaped their fate of decay and thrived in the modern era. Where magic and gods compete with the advances of science in both military prowess and everyday life. A world where metahumans and super soldiers have forever changed the face of war, and robotics continue to change it even more. There are many problems in the world, so many that most don't notice the bigger problems beneath the surface, things that threaten to destroy all that makes the world worth fighting over. Since most couldn't be bothered with it, a group emerged to face down such threats by whatever means necessary, to protect humanity and the earth at any cost.

There aren't many things the world could agree on after the war ended but one was that they couldn't allow the new threat to blind them to all others, to let their world fall because they were too busy planning to protect it. The idea of agency to deal with such things was tossed around for a decade with no major headway, it was only after evidence of the alien presence on earth was found that the plan was agreed on. Named after the titan of old, Prometheus is an agency created to be loyal to no nation and instead to the planet as a whole. Given resources from every major nation on the planet they are tasked with discovering and destroying all threats to humanity/Earth as well as damage all operations on the planet by hostile aliens. In pursuit of the mission they are immune to any and all laws, as long as their actions can be justified by the guidelines of their mission. They use outlawed procedures to boost human capability, use metahuman children as essentially child soldiers, and pardon terrible criminals if they have the right skill set. Their public face is that of heroic superheroes but at the end of the day the agency can and does get its hands dirty.

Outside of the leadership, most important are the members of one of the superhuman strike forces put together by Prometheus, tasked with quickly neutralizing the big threats, as well as aiding the agency's private military in combat zones. How they join is different for each member, with some being freed from prison in exchange from service, some simply accepting a formal invitation, to some even being created by Prometheus itself. Regardless of their reasons these members are part superhero and part soldier, with countless time and resources pumped into each and every one of them to keep them improving as well as to try to bring in or create more.

This is a super power based roleplay in an alternate Earth, one where world war 3 happened in the 80s and stopped at the discovery of seemingly hostile aliens. In the time since then the U.S. and the Soviet Union have been in an uneasy peace as they both prepare to repel an inevitable invasion. The world is similar to DC and marvel in that characters of magic origin like Zatanna and Thor exist alongside Iron Man type characters. The plot will be we play members of a multinational agency tasked with taking care of any alien presence currently on earth, the growing number of metahuman terror cells, agents of old gods, and other threats to humanity while the bulk of the worlds governments work on dealing with the future invasion. The roleplay will be a mix of military style missions and them responding to events either in the world or wherever they happen to be at (more traditional giant robot or monster attack etc)

Some Facts about the world

The Soviet Union is still around and thriving, they have the strongest people with psionic powers as a result of very brutal experiments and procedures done to bring them out. They recycle thier best dead soldiers and turn them into Necros, frankenstein's monster styled soldiers whose power source grants them strength and endurance much greater than that of any human.

The United States is mostly as it is now, though native american tribes are larger and better off, their nations being an important part of national defense with their unique brand of mysticism.

China is still under imperial rule as one of the emperors was successfully in the pursuit of immortality, though the result was him losing his body and becoming one with the land (essentially a very powerful terrakinetic with a golem body)

Non magic or chi related (including things like part gods) superhumans are mostly the result of science experiments done on the person. Metahuman births (themselves the result of certain substances being exposed a large amount of people around the world) are a more recent occurrence only really starting in the mid 80s and not starting to grow until the mid 90s.

Most gods exist or existed at one point, though their myths are not all true history. Ask me specifics if you plan to have relation to one.

Celestials, divinities, and demons are well established on the world and are basically aliens from other realms instead of planets. If you make your own, send a summary to me first.

Fictional nations exist, like how marvel has places like wakanda. You can make your own but send the summary to me first for approval.
Most monsters from myth and folklore are real in some form or another.
