Halloween was great- went to a fantastic costume party as Greg Universe so much fun was had. I forgot it was daylight savings and my phone kept changing the time back and forth. So I woke up extremely confused. Sorry about the head panther- did you grab some advil?

Noah relaxed on top of the bed, letting the tension drift out of his body. His eyes lazed around the room as he considered it. You know this room could be a little brighter, a skylight really might make that happen, plus at night you could just look up at the stars. You'd just need a simple cloth cover to take away some of the intensity during the day. Noah felt himself readying his ability to make that change to the room with his ability and sat bolt upright. "I am sitting in Cabin 2, there are two beds , two dressers, two desks, and nothing else. My name is Noah Sanders. And this is reality, I cannot change it." Noah repeated this mantra 3 times under his breath, rocking slightly back and forth. That was too damn close. You know what happens when you lower your guard. Noah had been using his power before he even could even understand what it was. His power was natural for him that sometimes he used it without thinking.

And that was exactly the problem. When he was younger he would sometimes collapse from hunger, because he only thought the food he had eaten was real. At other points, he injured himself jumping over gaps that appeared much smaller than they actually were. It usually started with just an idle thought just like the one he had had. Then more and more would've popped up until Noah could no longer distinguish what was real and what had just come from his own mind. Small uses like the voice trick and the water on the driver were fine, he had actively chosen to use his powers there. It would be so easy to lose all touch with reality.

With a quick shudder, he opened up his bag and began to hang up his clothes and store his various camping gear. The distraction of the unpacking helped to refocus his mind. He left "Zipper's" bag untouched at the foot of his bed. Out of his large bag, he pulled out the case that held his fishing rod. He opened the case gingerly and careful inspected the rod, making sure it hadn't been injured in the trip.

Oh cool a cabin to myself. Noah felt quite pleased about the current arrangement. New friends to meet is nice and all, but I need to have someplace to recharge. He turned to look over at Link. "Hey I am going to head over to my cabin and drop my things off. I'll meet up with you later." He stood up from the benches and walked slowly to where the cabins were. As he walked, he spotted a small group of other campers, two staring deep into each other's eyes and a third looking extremely uncomfortable. And so starts summer camp apparently, people coupling up already. After he had gone a couple more feet he began to whistle the main tune of Summer Lovin' from Grease.

Not too long afterwards, he found the cabin marked with a large metallic two over the top of the door. It seemed to be fairly standard from the outside, made from wood with a couple a small windows looking out at the surrounding area. Noah opened the door and look on the inside. There were two beds on opposite sides of the room, both appeared to easily be able to adapt into a bunk bed, two dressers, two chairs, and two small writing desks. He flopped onto the the bed putting his bags right by his feet, languidly stretching out from the long busride.

I think most of us are ready for the counselor intro :)
@BlackPanther

Noah winced. "Ouch sorry to hear that. They sound pretty cruel to kick you out- you aren't even 17 are you?" He glanced back at the counselors briefly. "Maybe the twin copycats over there can help you find something? They are the only ones with resources in the supernatural world that I have seen."
@BlackPanther

Noah looked at him for a moment more, then nodded satisfied and visibly relaxed. "Sorry for doubting you, I know we don't choose what we can do. My powers developed quite early. It's hard to control illusions and not grow an overly developed suspicious side. It took me years to develop self discipline over my abilities, they work just as well on me." He reached back and gave his head a scratch. "Also the first person I talked to here exploded and the one after that was hiding in a piece of luggage. It's already been an interesting day. So how did you hear about this place?"
@BlackPanther

Inner alarm bells sounded in Noah's head. Remember, you didn't ask for your power. He didn't have control over what he received. Still though...He turned to face Link and looked directly at his eyes. "And how exactly do you use those powers?"
@BlackPanther

Noah glanced at Link. That seems to be a fairly common question here. He considered his response. "Illusions is probably the best term for it. And yours?" He approached the benches and took a seat, making room for Link.
@BlackPanther

"Noah." He took the proffered hand and gave it a firm handshake. The began walking back to the benches, his bag and the rucksack both slung across his back. "So how did you get here?"
@YamiCuoreLaroux @KatherinWinter @BlackPanther

Noah waited for a moment, but there was no sign of where the pale faced person had gone. I can't even be sure that she heard me. He felt the burning sense of a guilt in his stomach, he had suspected someone who had had every right to be here, even if they hadn't provided him with any answers. He let out a sigh of pent up breath and looked towards the empty bag. Except, the bag wasn't empty at all. Noah bent down and picked up a rather worn rucksack from the bag. He glanced around it for a name, but there was no tag on it.

Noah turned around to face the counsellors and was suprise do to see a well muscled boy with dark curly hair walking towards them. I didn't hear him moving at all. Was I distracted or is that part of his gift? He gave him a nod of acknowledgement and turned to the counselors. "They were hiding in this bag, but they vanished as you walked up. The person appears gifted like the rest of us, but didn't know where they had ended up. Noah frowned slightly, as he thought about it, he wasn't certain how he had originally heard of this place either. Noah was distracted from that line of thought, by the rucksack in his hand. If I leave it here the person might come back for it if it's still in the area, but I might not get another chance to speak with them again. If I take they may accuse me of kidnapping their backpack or stealing their stuff again, and I will never see them.

After a brief moment of thought, Noah took a journal from his own bag and ripped out a blank paper. He pulled a pen out of his pocket and wrote a note to its former occupant. Dear "Zipper," I have found your rucksack where you left it. I am taking the bag now so another camper or animal doesn't nab it, as I am not sure when you will be back. Allow me to be clear, I have not stolen it and you may have it back at any time you wish. If I do not see you during the day, I will be back here in the evening with some food. -Guy who was talking to you earlier, AKA Noah.

He turned back to the counselors, "I will hold on to this for them and try to convince them to see you both when I see her." Then he walked over the muscles teen in the grey shirt, "Hey counselors want us to head over to the benches."
