Current At least 35 people dead and who knows how many injured. But sure, mask your politics with a sorry attempt at comedy.

Loving my new DL photo, hair and make-up right before the appointment played a huge part.

I'm picky with RPs, but man, even trying to get a 1x1 going is tough.

@Noogget You’re playing a very risky game, my dear. Even I am not crazy enough to pull off such stunt.

The year is 2099. Humanity has expanded beyond our planet and people now reside on either Earth, or one of the handful of colonies spread throughout our solar system. Floating in space between these colonies, a space prison formally known as the M.S. Locke Facility houses inmates who have been given the ultimate sentence, although in lieu of execution, these individuals undergo cryosleep for an unknown period of time. The majority of the prisoners' stay in the facility boils down to their containment in a personal pod, and they are only taken out when they are a match to a patient, either on Earth or one of the sister colonies, in dire need of a transplant. Essentially, the inmate's life doesn't end without purpose as they give up bodily integrity to afford the recipient a second chance at life.

Unfortunately, disaster struck when the most recent team of doctors on rotation aboard the facility were prepping an inmate for said procedure. The undetected virus which had infected the inmate at some point in his life had an adverse reaction to the main cryosleep drug. The virus mutated, and an alarming growth occurred when the inmate was once more exposed to oxygen. It was then chaos ensued as the inmate started to come to his senses. He felt the deadly pain throughout his body, begging and screaming at the team of professionals around him to do something. They scrambled to sedate him, although not before he threw up blood on one of the doctors, the same one whose skin had been scratched in the struggle, exposing her to the virus.

A few minutes later, she too was dead. It didn't take long for the remaining team to call for an emergency evacuation, and in a matter of hours the small group of doctors were en route to Earth, along with the two corpses.

Presently, with no staff onboard the M.S. Locke to run routine checks, the inmates have slowly started to wake up...
Originally a 1x1, but additional players are welcomed.
Hey y'all. I'm looking for someone else or a small group interested in a space prison RP. I was set to a start this same RP with another player, but I haven't heard from them as of yet so it's safe to assume that it isn't happening.

For the RP, the setting is roughly 80 or so years into the future. There are various colonies within our solar system as space travel is now the norm. The floating prison houses inmates on death row, although instead of facing execution, these individuals are put in cryosleep and when needed, they are taken out of the capsule to have their organs humanely removed in order to save another person's life. They essentially become involuntary donors.

During one of these procedures, a deadly virus breaks out and the staff has to evacuate. Eventually, without the proper maintenance, the prisoners start to wake up and they have to figure out how to survive not only the virus, but themselves as well.

Anyway, that's the gist of it. If it sounds interesting enough let me know.

Interested in this.

"Ramses...pleasure meeting you. I'm Liliana."

She tossed her bag on one of the free beds and reached out a hand to introduce herself. "Looks like home for however long we'll be here." Lili then saw another one of their tentmates claiming his own spot before he started to change, a good move on his behalf given the densely muggy climate since she touched down in the early morning. "Liliana Martínez," she shook his hand as well, the accent alone giving away his nationality. She knew a few Russians when she was in school, learning a bit of the language from her dad but losing most of it without the practice.

Lili's gaze shifted when she noticed Sasha didn't have a right arm, an artificial limb taking its place instead, but she quickly looked away as to not be rude. "So we have a free day today, better take advantage of that," she addressed no one in particular, walking over to her bag to fetch her wetsuit. She figured she'd go for a swim and cool off as the temperature seemed to get hotter by the minute.

The young woman peered out the window. Nothing but thick jungle for the last few hours. And the humidity, she couldn't possibly forget about that. Liliana had been fortunate enough to snag a seat adjacent to the window, though she was sandwiched in from the other side by some muscled man. What little breeze managed to find its way inside did nothing to help, the suffocating feeling not leaving her. Sure, she was used to living in a tropical climate for all of her life, but even the weather in the island wasn't anywhere near as humid. It was hot, but not in a torturous sense.

What the hell have I gotten myself into... she thought to herself, wondering for a split second whether they were heading into something much more insidious than they were originally led to believe. Lili had brought the only picture she had of her parents on the trip, and it was safely tucked away in the bag sitting on her lap with what little belongings were in her possession. When they hit a bump, Lili instinctively tightened her grip. At the moment, that bag meant the world to her.

Some time later, she noticed they were arriving at the camp. Lili couldn't wait to get off the bus; her body ached from sitting in the same position for so long and the trip had made her restless. She was dying to stretch her limbs, regardless of her petite frame she required as much space as the next guy for ultimate comfort.

The bus eventually came to a halt, and Lili stood up and followed the others outside. She pushed some wisps of hair away from her eye, curiously looking around the camp before a man stood in front of the group and introduced himself as Joe. Lili couldn't help but smirk. Okay Joe Schmo, so this is your camp... Lili listened to the man's instructions, which were rather straightforward and to the point. Somehow she was expecting something a bit more intense.

When the group was dismissed, Lili waited her turn to approach the bulletin board. She noticed she had been housed in Tent D with three other people, and she didn't waste any time heading in the direction the map had guided her to go to. If anything, Lili hoped to get a bottom bunk. Given her lack of height, she didn't feel like exerting much effort whenever she wanted to jump into bed, or jump out of it all the same.
