My work schedule just completely changed for the worse, so expect me to be less active, unable to run my own RPs, but I should hopefully be able to keep myself in other people's RPs.

The Calixis Sector, a region constantly at war. Besieged by heretics, mutants, Chaos, and Xenos at all fronts. Needing something more capable of achieving important battlefield objectives than sending endless waves of guardsmen at the enemy, Lord General Militant Davius Kern has put together a series of Special Forces regiments comprising of some of the best guardsmen from across the Imperium. This is the story of Task Force Regiment 13, nicknamed the 'Lucky 13s', they have just received a fresh wave of new recruits, organized into a squad under the command of Sergeant Lanfried "Oracle" Machholter, a Catachan officer pulled into the regiment after his last was nearly wiped out, noted for his ability to seemingly predict the outcome of a battle very early on, and adjust accordingly. You are one of the new recruits pulled into his squad, taken from various homeworlds across the Imperium, you will serve until you either perish, or choose to return after the required amount of years service. Good luck, and may the Emperor guide you.

So we will be playing an Imperial Guard special forces squad, led by me as Sergeant Machholter. I've got a few simple rules to list, then we'll continue on to the CS for both characters and custom homeworld regiments.

Rules:
1. GM's word is law, subject only to the rules of the forums.
2. Certain regiments, such as the Tanith First, will be restricted in the number of soldiers allowed.
3. Custom regiments are allowed, with a special CS detailing both the homeworld and its military structure.
4. Reloading is mandatory, but keeping track of ammo numbers is not, so long as you remember to reload.

CS for Characters:

Custom Regiment CS:

My comp was on a bit of a fit, Plus vacation. I'll have an OOC up sometime tonight/tomorrow. As for the regiments: I'd like to allow any and all, though if necessary, there'll be numerical restrictions placed if too many come from the same homeworld. Also, the intent of the group was a special forces under the direct command of a Lord General Militant operating in the Calixis(I know, but it's the most covered by source material) sector. The deathwatch comparison was just to emphasize the mixing of people from all across the guard.
Just a heads up, I'm gonna be on vacation for a week starting Tomorrow evening, and won't be able to reply as quickly.
same here, got nothing to post, really.
@Redthorn Anvil"Two Rivers, eh? Sounds familiar. May have visited it back when I was in my travelling days. After The War, I went and spent a good many years wandering wherever I could reach..." Hans sighed, in a reminiscent way. "Most everyone who remembers The War is gone now...Haven't met anyone who knew about it in a good long while. It's how my home was destroyed, you know. The War took nearly everything I had...But now I've got The Tavern, and all the people I could ever talk to." Hans let out a deep chuckle, smiling wildly. "Well, I best head back to the kitchen, it's just about time for the dinner rush. People will be stopping from all over for a meal and a place to stay. It helps to have food prepared." With that, Hans turned off and walked to the kitchen, just as quite a few assorted guests made their entrance.
@Redthorn Anvil"Well, even if I told you, you wouldn't know it. My home's been gone for quite a while, since before any of you were born, I'd wager." Hans said, looking a slight bit sad. "I haven't met anyone who knew of my home in just about as long. Seems we weren't too well known to begin with." He quickly decided to shift the subject, feeling suppressed memories starting to wash back up. "Where are you from, then?" He asked Vanion. "Perhaps I know of your home."
@caliban22the mention of Deathwatch was because we would be a group of guardsmen from different regiments from different worlds all pulled into one unit.
@Arabix"Coming right up!" Hans bellowed back to the Elf, turning to pour a mead almost to the brim of a large mug. He slid it down the bar, timing it so it stopped just in front of the Elf. "If you need anything else, just holler!" Hans said, before going back to cleaning yet again.
Basically an RP where we play Imperial Guardsmen, kind of like an RP-only version of Only War, only with guardsmen from multiple regiments in the same squad. I'm imagining a kind-of Deathwatch-type organization, but for the Guard. A group of soldiers, selected from various worlds, to perform special operations in wargrounds, such as eliminating an enemy leader, or securing a special object. Any canon regiments would be automatically accepted, with a format to submit custom regiments for application. Any takers?
