On the second day of school I will post certain missions that you guys can take part of. This is optional however, but this is a good way to train your abilities. As a new addition to the role-play I will allow you all to add more skills to your character's abilities whether that be melee or magic. Choose a melee style or magic skill that you want to give to your character and you will gain points depending on what missions you complete and how well you perform them. For example:
Class D Mission:
- Help old man Richards a few clicks away from the school with his vegetables. He needs help picking and organizing them.
- Points Gained: 3+
- Participants: Sin'chi and Yaozu
Say I was training for a new melee style: Kickboxing
It will take 8 pts to learn Kickboxing so I can add that to my tree of skills. If I complete the Class D mission I will earn 3 pts or more, depending on how well I do, and allocate those points to kickboxing. Once I gain enough points, I can add that skill to my skill list. You can do these missions after classes and since there is one class per day, you are given plenty of time to complete them.
I will need volunteers to help with overseeing the skill point system. Volunteers will watch over someone's progress during a mission and award points accordingly. You can gain more points by: Making long paragraphs throughout the mission, explaining the details in your paragraphs. Volunteers will be added as co-GMs. The co-GMs can also train but cannot give themselves points.
You will also be given a ranking system. I want you all to add this line underneath your magic styles in your character profiles:
Character Rank: D
Missions Completed: 0
Right now all of us are Rank D, that means you can only complete Rank D missions. The highest is A. Once you hit a new rank you can do missions in your new rank and a mission beneath that rank. The more missions you complete the more ranks you gain. When you gain a new rank make sure to edit your character profiles and the change to letter to the new one.
Here is a list of how the ranking go.
Rank D - Default
Rank C - Complete five missions
Rank B - Complete fifteen missions
Rank A - Complete Twenty-five missions
The higher the ranks the tougher missions become. Missions will include: Helping out a villager, sabotaging a bandit base, assassinating a powerful member of Kurai who seeks to destroy us, participating in a war with Lady Kazumi's legion etc. etc.
You will only be able to tackle one mission at a time. This is a role-play that is being built from the ground up. More added features will come at a later time. At the start of each post be sure to type in bold what mission you are doing to separate those who are participating in a mission and those who are not. Also type in bold what skill you are trying to learn.
Certain missions will include combat which is a great way to test your character's abilities against a NPC. Some missions may even require a sparring match between two players and whoever wins gains a healthy amount of points. This is to get combat going because the role-play just isn't about story but combat as well.
If anyone has any questions then feel free to ask.
