Story:
“In the year 2550, mankind finally reached out beyond our own galaxy; but what we found…was unexpected. Mankind discovered several alien races at war with one another and was forced to settle down on a nearby planet after entering the Morelian galaxy, the planet of Ostara. When mankind landed they were greeted by a friendly humanoid looking race, the Seer. Human beings and the Seer were pretty identical except that the Seer had natural night vision and their eyesight could extend as far as a sniper rifle scope. We established a union with the Seer and built a stronger republic with a unified military. We are now the Ostara Republic. Like us, the Seer was keeping a low profile from the other warring races on other planets and also unlike the warring races, the Seer did not develop space travel until we arrived and combined our technologies to make the first of the Ostara fleet equipped with shields and laser cannons.

We were able to hide under the other races radar and we were able to get the names of the other four races: Santerians, Dreshykk, Yolai, and the Wraithal.

In 2600 AF (After Flight) there were refugees of the other races who fled their planets and found Ostara. We intercepted them and realized they were innocent unlike their brethren. They were tired of their homes being destroyed by the constant war and begged the Ostara Republic to stop the war by fighting against the bloodshed. We were resistant against the idea but the debate to enter the war kept being brought up during republic meetings. Eventually in the year 2800 the Ostara Republic decided to take part in the war but the majority of the people were still reluctant. One day, the Republic called for volunteers to join the war. Only a few Humans, Seer, Santerians, Dreshykk, and the Yolai joined the cause; we became an army of 500 volunteers, barely enough to win a war compared to the numbers of the other warring races. I still remember the speech that the speaker of the Seer and the speaker of the human race gave.

Speaker of the Seer
“Our people have never been to war but it is honorable of all of you, who decided to stop the wicked tyranny that is tearing our galaxy apart. You are all commended for your brave efforts and soon our galaxy will once again see peace. May the light of Seral (Goddess of the Seer) be with you.”

Speaker of the Humans
“We came to this galaxy seeking a new home for humanity but what we found was those in dire need of our aid. If we wish to make this galaxy habitable then we must make it safe for all of us to travel. We have faced many wars in our past and we know how combat works. With the help of the Seer, we will triumph and will create a new era and milestone for mankind. May God be with you all.”

The Ostara Republic funded a private sector of volunteers who would perform covert missions while the others are sent on the frontlines. This sector is called the S.E.U (Secret Expeditions Unit) the S.E.U is a small platoon of volunteers with the absolute best technology of the Republic provided to them. They were also given the best private training in both weaponry and hand-to-hand combat.

Once we entered the war we became known and now we’ve created enemies. The other warring races see the Ostara Republic has a bigger threat and some have even created truces to down our republic. But we have the bigger military and weapon. To them we are nothing but tyrants but to us we are our galaxy’s savior.

We are the S.E.U and our very first mission is to travel to the home world of the Dreshykk and infiltrate their underground bunker to gather more Intel on their forces…but when we arrived…it was the beginning of a great story left untold.”

Species:
Humans - A race from the planet earth who went beyond their own galaxy to find a new home for humanity. Humans have both a dark history and a very memorable one. Everything from wars, racism, hidden governments, and ancient societies all plague the history of mankind. But they are persistent despite their dark upbringing and have proven to the republic that they are capable of lending a helping hand and showing compassion for not only them but the Seer. Before the humans reached out and found the Morelian galaxy, they were in constant struggles with each other. However, in 2200, the United Nations created a new space flight organization that overpowered those at NASA. This new organization was the first to venture out on this new expedition which led to the discovery of a new galaxy, planet and a new alien species, the Seer.

Seer – A race that inhabits the planet of Ostara, the first planet humans found in this new galaxy. Unlike human beings the Seer did not develop much conflict between their species. In the beginning, the Seer was a female only race that later found male organisms hidden under certain types of soil. When males began multiplying the Seer became a complete race. The only true conflict that goes on between the Seer is the rift between the male and female. To them, male and female relationships are considered interracial (a term used by the humans) but despite that, it was never punishable by law. Over time before the humans found them, majority of the Seer began re-adjusting to the idea of male and female relationships and soon their world followed. Now, like the humans, there is plenty more diversity to go around and the Seer began to consider that as normal. Also, they have the same bone structure as humans except that the Seer has a variety of different skin colors. Lastly, the Seer acquired their name by having a special gift upon them; they are able to see far and wide without the use of a sniper rifle. However, they did not acquire space travel until the humans arrived.

Dreshykk – They are an aggressive race that uses intimidation as a fear tactic. They are also deadly in numbers. Generations ago, the Dreshykk began as a tribal species where sacred rituals were a normal part of their daily life. They were also adept at sculpting and carving secret hidden messages on stones and boulders. Before the very first generation of the Dreshykk perished, they carved messages on stones to warn the future generations of a prophecy.

A message that had been deciphered:
“A mysterious myth will rise to do you harm. They are strong…powerful…and unpredictable. Heed our warning brethren…They will not take pity on us because we are not like them…prepare yourselves for the future.” (The message was hinted toward humans. The Dreshykk see the humans as a major threat.)

But as generations past the myth became lost in time and many began not to believe in it because it hasn’t happened yet. The Dreshykk are a very tough race with skin that feels like armor. They are able to withstand firepower as their bodies protect them. A bit scaly down their back, arms, and legs, their eyes are sharp like a snake but cold like a demon. As generations grew and evolved, like the humans and Seer, diversity sprung out upon them. There were Dreshykk who did not like conflict, those who did, those who became murderers, and those who became smugglers. But most of the innocent Dreshykk have been oppressed by those who did not care about peace…and the innocent ones fled their home planet and found a home with the Ostara Republic.

Their lifespan only lasts for twenty years in human years and due to this, their population is at an all-time high. Food shortage is becoming an issue with them which is a high motivation for their militaries to invade other species.

Santerians – The first race in this new galaxy to build skyscrapers with some of the most advanced technology. They were the first species to examine and study a planet’s resources in their early years as a species. This led to many different discoveries and generations later, became the first race to invent the highest technology. Their skyscrapers are a symbol of their hard work; they take pride in what they do. Their society is a bit dull compared to other species, as in everyone is expected to be on their best behavior and follow the law for If it their laws are broken, someone could end up with legal capital punishment; to humans their population would seem as if they are brainwashed, but it is in fact just how their society works. They have a long antenna that stands up on the back of their head, which then droops and points down. Their eyes are big and very observant. Their bodies seem a bit loopy; their upper body slightly hunches forward, but their lower bodies stand slightly straight with a bit of a forward slouch. Also, they only have two toes on both their feet, and four long fingers on both hands.

After giving birth, newborns undergo a very complicate process with the medical facilities. They are first scanned and are given perceptive serums, in hopes they show signs of intelligence. If newborns do not show signs of intelligence after the first year they born, they are killed. Santerians do not wish to have anyone within their societies who are not up to par with a high IQ. This led to a revolution created by the female gender. Despite the efforts to change this law, the revolutions found that the best way to deal with this issue was to leave their planet. The same revolutions are the ones who found the Ostara Republic.

Yolai – They are a more logical race that honors wisdom and cunning as a means of winning battles. They have insect like eyes with a sharp and vertical pupil; a wide cranium with a split in the center (softer flesh is seen in between the split) and they also have a bird like, humanoid figure. Their arms and legs are skinnier than the rest of their bodies. In their early beginnings, the Yolai were naïve compared to other species. Their basic knowledge of survival and feeding was the only instinct that made sense to them. Over time they began seeking a new meaning to life and it wasn’t until a while later they became spiritual and thought that their planet was their ruler. The Yolai have taken their spiritualism to new heights, however, and tends to talk down on those who do not have the same belief. Those who are talked down upon were the ones who fled their planet and found Ostara. They reproduce as normal with not much difference than humans; their lifespan also extends that of a humans. Yolai entered the war after a prophet rose and convinced the people that a dark force threatens to end their existent and that force to them were the Wraithal.

Wraithal – Darkness is a part of the Wraithal as they would rather remain hidden than exposed. Mystery tends to cloud the Wraithal as no one has truly and really seen them. Researchers from Ostara believe the Wraithal were created, instead birth through natural life. The Wraithal are a race that take the forms of other species, except the Wraithal’s skin colors are pitch black as a silhouette. They were given the name Wraithal due to their tendency to consume and take the form of other species.

With time and patience, however, we can uncover the secret behind the Wraithal’s existence.

Planets:
Ostara – The home world of the Seer and all the unified races under one republic. Ostara wishes to end the war with the other races and create a peaceful galaxy for all. It has a natural cycle of day and night full of water and plant life. Humans and Seer look identical and usually teach one another their combat practices. Though they’re not feared since their republic and military strength is just beginning, they are quite persistent and are a usual balance of all battle strategies.

Xan – The home world of the Dreshykk. A barren wasteland that is constantly dry. The sky here is always dark and grey but there is no rain. It is also home of the city of Xanax, the biggest city of the Xan and the headquarters to the Dreshykk military. They rely on their brute strength and usually train their military to take down even the strongest structures.

Noshkosh - The home world of the Santerians. Like Ostara it has a day and night cycle with oceans of water. Their biggest city is the Nair. Some of the galaxies tallest building exists here as the Santerians are a race of high intelligence. Their military use computer viruses to disrupt their enemy’s power grid and attack when vulnerable but many have found ways to barely fend off against the viruses.

Troth – The home world of the Yolai. Though they do not have cities, their settlements are usually spread out in smaller villages. Their planet is very windy and doesn’t have much water. In other parts of the planet there are more hazardous gases and it is constantly night time here. They are not usually seen out right on the battlefield but take on different positions around the war grounds as they specialize in strategy and usually keep their reinforcements close by if needed.

Ravai – The home world of the Wraithal. It is always night here but it does sometime rain. They do not have cities or villages but instead they reside underground in tunnels. They are a quite race and are good at being covert. The Wraithal and the Yolai are the biggest rivals as they both do not wish to give away their positions. When enemies land on Ravai they often proceed with caution as they do not know what to expect.

Classes:
Assault – Experts at automatic assault rifles and close range combat. Commonly chosen to provide leadership.

Sniper – Experts at using all forms of long range and single shot weapons. Also good at recon and surveillance.

Tank – Experts at heavy weaponry including rocket launchers and heavy machine guns. They can also break through walls and hordes of enemies.

Gunnery Chief – Experts at crafting special weapons, armor, and other equipment. Provides weapon assistance and repairs on the battlefield.

Pilot – Experts at piloting all aircrafts and ground vehicles including airships and tanks. Provides air and ground support only when told to do so by the squad leader.

(Each class can use all weapons, however, in order to be more efficient it is recommended if you use weapons specifically designed for that class.)

S.E.U:
A tight knit special forces unit that acts outside of Ostara’s Republic jurisdiction. The team can be as full as a small squad to a big platoon. They cohabitate, hunt, and live together inside of their personal ship, the “S.E.U Lightyear.” Capable of traveling under the radar of most enemy scanners and is said to be the fastest ship in the Ostara fleet. The ship is only equipped with two laser cannons but with time and effort from the team the ship can be consistently upgraded.

Rank does not apply to the team. According to the Ostara republic the S.E.U are above all ranks. The team is considered more family oriented and a bit out casted through not literally. They operate alone but is still in contact with the republic.

S.E.U Lightyear Blueprint:
Cockpit - A large room foor pilotes and other members that has three platfoorms and a small balcony and chair for the squad leader. The room can house an entire platoon.

Cantina – A place for the soldiers to wine and dine.

Bridge – A long walk way that leads to the cockpit. Along both sides of the walkway are several NPCs working on several computers.

Barracks – Where the S.E.U sleeps. Everyone has their own room.

Firing range – Where you can go and practice using different weapons.

Briefing Room – This is where discussions about missions take place. The republic can instantly transmit themselves in the center of the room. They are not physically there they just look more like Vis.

Shuttle Bay – Where deployment, crafting, and ship repair takes place. This is also were ground vehicles are stored.

Alright
@Flynn
When OOC is up a lot more options and information will posted.
I have everything updated but I wont post it until the RP thread is up.

I believe we have nine people interested. The OOC will be up shortly.
Just a few more people and we can start
Robots/AIs is is a class I was planning on including so yes that is acceptable. As for engineers the gunnery chief is a engineer I will add more info when the OOC is up.

Welcome aboard Findragon.
@OtomostheCrazy
Thanks. Glad to have you on board.

@ShiningSector
Yes I will add more detail in OOC when we gather more members.

I also recommend that everyone use the details as a template to your own interpretation and imagination. Even when I see the picture the author of a book is trying to give, I tend to imagine the authors world in my own vision about how everything looks. It is the best way to RP.
