Current To those I RP with, I haven't dropped off of the face of the earth, just had a mental health crash but am recovering. Now to catch up on posting.

The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Emeth: Then I'll be that friend who's the opposite kind of annoying, whispering "Do it, you know you want to..."

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

@VitaVitaAR Here you go! I know we have mostly girls, but considering this kind of anime is usually male-dominated, it's a nice change.

@Emeth I feel Kaida and Rika are going to get along great, to everyone else's annoyance (especially Emi's).
Apologies for the delay, work's been super busy, then I had to go and get the worst summer cold. Finishing the CS now though!
This looks good and I have a character concept, are you still accepting?
Have any of you guys already crafted a character concept?

Not yet, but toying with some ideas. What kinds of playable alien races are there?

Solarpunk! Colour me interested!

Leaning forward, Renata studied the map, eyes flicking across the notes and marked locations. "Hmm, Black Spikes... Any clues as to where they might be?" The mention of black spikes made the story sound all the more ominous, but that wasn't going to deter someone used to the macabre.

Before Harry could answer, a shout drew both trainers' attention. A girl tumbled from the neck of a Tropius, knocking another student - namely, Adam - to the ground. Wincing, she followed Harry, sprinting towards them. They seemed unhurt, judging by how quickly Adam jumped to his feet and helped up the girl she recognised as Jordan, but it was best to make sure.

"Maera, stay back." As the Greavard scampered over, Renata gestured for her to keep a safe distance. Maera meant well, but if these two were injured at all, it wouldn't help matters if she accidentally weakened them. Thankfully, the accident did indeed appear to have been a minor one. Jordan was laughing and chatting, and as for Adam... Well, he was his usual self too. Renata fought the urge to roll her eyes at his cheesier-than-Manchego-tapas attempt at flirting with Jordan. "Ah, qué bien. Looks like you're both ok."

As Harry excused himself, Renata made to head out too, but of course their plans weren't going to go smoothly. Adam clapped a hand down on Harry's shoulder, brimming with enthusiasm, seemingly eager for a battle despite having taunted him earlier. Renata could only hope this wasn't an excuse to mock him again. She shuffled back to give them space, watching in wary silence, ready to intervene if Adam's jibes became a little too harsh.

Nodding, Renata couldn't help but smile. She'd expected Harry to make his excuses and leave, but he was actually willing to team up in pursuit of the Treasures of Ruin. Between the two of them, they could do this. "Yep! Can't say I have much teamwork experience either, but..." She turned pensive, eyebrows furrowing. "It's said these Pokemon were born from negative emotions that took on lives of their own. That's how a few ghost types are created, like Banette and Sandygast. So it's a safe bet that the Treasures of Ruin are ghosts too."

A type they both had an advantage and a disadvantage over. Ghosts were particularly vulnerable to attacks from other ghosts. Normal types weren't, far from it in fact as they were completely unaffected, but their regular moves couldn't inflict damage on them either. "They do sound like forces to be reckoned with, but if we cover each other's weaknesses, I'm sure it'll be fine."

Nox wasn't so certain, shrinking back from the talk of powerful Pokemon. "It's ok, we can stop by a few gyms to train up along the way," Renata reassured her. Maera, meanwhile, showed much more enthusiasm about the prospect of a journey, bouncing around the trainers' feet and barking. Renata leaned down and scratched the Greavard's ears, her little smile widening. The treasure hunt - the literal treasure hunt - was about to begin.

"So," she asked Harry, after a quick glance to make sure Adam wasn't anywhere nearby to trash talk them. Best to start on their way before they could run into him again. "Where to first?"

Watching Vyvien pull Sky from the mushroom's grasp with a cyclone, Zircon exhaled. Her plan had worked - a little too well, it turned out. Relief soured to terror as a vine lashed through the air, right towards her. She recoiled, wings pumping frantically, but before it could grab her, the forest lit up from a lightning bolt that struck the vine. The air filled with the creature's cries and the smell of burned mushroom as sparks danced up and down the charred limb.

"Thanks there," she called to Surge, blinking away afterimages, darting over to him and the others. "And yeah, sounds like a plan." Sky, thankfully, was awake and unhurt, surrounding the other fairies with a sphere of light. Zircon whirled round and swept her hand towards the monster's roots. Water condensed around them and froze, holding them fast to the ground. "Let's go, before it gets free!" Considering the mushroom's size and strength, the ice would only hold out so long.
