Can't beat my own demons, so I beat up fictional ones instead. It's fun!

There could be a hundred hours in a day and I still wouldn't get around to half the things I need to do.

Something about winter makes me want to curl up on the couch, wrap myself in a blanket, and join way more RPs than I have time for.

This is the kind of site where you think about it every day even if you haven't actually done anything here for months. Or is that just me?

Bio

Luminosity

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. I'm Luminosity, but feel free to call me Lumi or Lum. If you're here, I suppose that means you have some interest in me, my writing, or in roleplaying with me. Here's a bit about me and my preferences. In general, if you want to talk, about RPing or anything else, just shoot me a PM. I always try to make time for new friends.

About Me

Basics

I'm in my 20s, female, and currently trying to figure out how that whole "being an adult" thing works. I've been roleplaying on this site for a while off and on, but in general I've been roleplaying for over ten years, here and there. I'm on US Central Time currently.

Writing Level
My writing level on this site varies from casual to advanced, though the sweet spot is usually around 3-5 paragraphs per post. If I'm feeling inspired I tend to write kinda long posts, so be warned. I've never been a free-level roleplayer, and writing that little per post is typically something that makes me lose interest.

Activity
I love RPing, but I am busy quite often, and so my posting rate will vary. Sometimes I'll be able to post multiple times a day, and sometimes I won't be able to post more than once a week. Please keep this in mind if you'd like to RP with me. Also that more applies to 1x1's, I do my best to be consistent if I'm joining a group RP. My normal writing times for RP are first thing in the morning or somewhat late at night, but sometimes I can squeeze posts in during the afternoon.

Preferences
I'm mostly into fantasy RPs with a good dose of adventure and action, especially dark fantasy settings. In terms of mature content, I prefer a certain level of realism, and I'm totally fine with language and gore (I actually really like writing fight scenes). I'm happy to write romance, but I really prefer not to force it or have it be the main focus of a roleplay, but rather something that happens naturally if it feels right for my character. I've never written smut/sex scenes without fading to black, and it's not something I'm especially interested in trying. I enjoy group RPs as well as 1x1's, and while I've GMed in the past, I don't do it very often now, due to stress and time constraints.

I really only RP as female characters here, as that's just my personal preference. I write all kinds in lots of genres in my personal work, but I RP here to simply write what I enjoy most. I'm fine with taking on minor characters or NPCs of any gender if the RP needs it, though.

Games

Do You Play League of Legends?

I used to! You can probably guess who my favorite champion is. I haven't played in a long time, though, since I was never very good and ran into one too many unpleasant online experiences. I still follow the game for all of the amazing art and characters it produces, and I'm interested in the upcoming titles in that universe that aren't MOBAs.

So What Do You Play?
Lately? Apex Legends, Mortal Kombat 11, Final Fantasy (VII, VII Remake, VIII, XII, a real FF trip lately), and Resident Evil 3. Honestly, not a lot lately, just haven't had the time/interest in anything for a bit.

That's about it! Thanks for the interest, and if you want to get in touch, don't hesitate to send a PM my way. See you around :)

Fights sound good for Astraia, if only to get her to go hang out somewhere. Drinks and meeting people sound like a good plan to her. Can we put up that med exam for her, though, where it went? That was sort of her intro.
Sent you a PM, Wordweaver. Noticed you were new to the site. If you have any questions, let me know.
Astraia is also available. Figure she should probably meet some people while she has the chance.
Well, I'm confused. Thought I wasn't going to be showing up until whenever episode 2 started. Unless that's now. In which case, sure, I can go first. Going to bed now, but I'll try and check in periodically tomorrow if we want to work on that.
> Our ship has just finished engaging an enemy ship that was attacking the planet (orbital bombardment and sending down ground forces) and the enemy was forced to retreat thanks to our efforts. However, there are some injured people and some people might not have gotten onto the ship in time because it was blocked off by the enemy. The ship is landing to pick up the stragglers and do medical checks on everyone. Your character could have been left on the ground during this time if she will enter at the end of this episode 1, or if we go into episode 2 she could be among the people we recruit to make up for casualties. Okay, cool. I think it might be better to wait into episode 2 to bring Astraia in, I'd prefer her to be new to the crew rather than just absent the whole first episode. We'll have her get recruited or assigned to the ship to make up for some of the losses, then.
I'd be willing to go first so I can get intro'd into things, but I'm still not very caught up on what's going on IC, where everything is, etc. Could use a brief summary of things, if anyone is willing to oblige. And like Lalli said, these don't seem like they need to happen all at once. You can always stop by the pad and reply to whoever is waiting on you, and then just post it when it's ready. I've used these a lot in the past, and they're great for having conversations and shorter back and forths without spamming the IC.
> And yay, Lum is here :3 Great character. One random question though, is her gun kinetic or energy? Both are still in use in current-day Andreemea. You can find more info on it [here](http://andreemea.wikia.com/wiki/Weapon_Types_Guide). Oh, and [here](http://downloads.2kgames.com/evolvev3/images/uploads/caira.png)'s a larger version of Astraia's image if you want it. I guess if Pherza is the standard for the IGCP, she'll use that, so... energy, then. I went ahead and made a wiki page for her, I'll drop it right [here](http://andreemea.wikia.com/wiki/Astraia_Hartwell) for you.
Yeah, she could definitely help with those, though she might need to have her own done first, if she's just joining the crew. But yeah, that would be a good way for her to get to meet people.
Hey guys! I was given the okay to drop a character in here, so I wrote one up, a combat medic to join the crew at the next available opportunity. From the sounds of it, the IC is nearing or already at a decent time, so hopefully that can be soon. I haven't had quite enough time to absorb a lot of knowledge about the universe, so that'll probably happen one bit at a time, when I need to look things up, but I can hopefully figure that out as we go. In any case, here's my character. Left her history vague because it said we could, but I can always elaborate on whatever as needed. Hope you guys like her! **Name:** Astraia Hartwell **Age:** 28 **Gender:** Female **Race:** Xern Human **Homeworld:** Xern **Position:** Combat Medic **Personality:** Astraia's easy-going enough that it gets her into trouble sometimes, as her personality doesn't mesh all that well with the strict nature of military life, especially in regards to things like the chain of command, and authority figures in general. She learned how to take orders well enough to not get kicked out, though, but typically respects action and example well over rank and the weight of a name. In fact, she places very little importance on organizations of any kind. Astraia likes to interact with people one at a time, and judge them based on what they do, not what they are or what faction they're aligned with. She values helping others immensely, and can be a bit hot-headed and a little stubborn if she feels she's being forced into doing something that isn't for the good of the people around her. She joined up to help, not to oppress. Apart from her work, Astraia's laid back and casual, fond of a good time, and a bit of a tomboy in her preferences. She loves physical activity, likes a stiff drink, won't hesitate to flirt if she thinks it'll be fun, and in general will be the first to laugh at something in a room full of people. It makes her a lot of friends, even if most of them aren't the unlucky people who have to give her orders. **Appearance:** [Like this](http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20141125015933/evolve/images/0/06/Caira_portrait.png), but without the techy wing things in the back. **Abilities:** Astraia's a medic, her expertise being in the treatment of combat wounds, though her job is usually a patchwork one, to hold things together until someone who isn't getting shot at can fix 'em up better. To that end, she has a number of gadgets for quickly sealing up wounds, stopping bleeding, counteracting burns... really most anything that's needed to keep a warm body from becoming a cold one. Unless you're cold-blooded. She can work with that, too. She knows a wide variety of alien anatomy, and can fix most of them up just right. For combat, she's nothing special, and usually leaves that to the guys who like shooting things. That said, she's more than capable of defending herself. She's a good shot, and carries a few grenades of a nerve agent capable of dropping most organic forms limp to the ground, unconscious. She's not a fan of killing, but she's willing and able to do it if it means protecting herself, or someone on her team. **Equipment:** A combat rifle with spare magazines, a belt of nerve grenades, her medical supplies in her backpack, a combat knife, and light battle armor. Accessorizes as needed depending on location and mission. **Biography:** Astraia will be quick to tell you that there's nothing interesting in her past, and probably give you the short version: she's human, uninteresting, and the past doesn't matter. She's more interested in the future, anyway. There are some obvious complications, though. She was born on Xern, which is in her files, and did not learn either her medical expertise or her combat skills from the IGCP. It's not clear when exactly she left the GAE, what she did while she was there, and what drove her to get away. Her files are a bit sparse on the detail there. Since leaving, however, she volunteered her medical and combat expertise to the IGCP military, and was eventually accepted as a combat medic, and assigned to the Exeralune after serving in several smaller capacities elsewhere.
While the rogue jumped back to avoid the stalactites, Ilana braced herself and held her shield over her head, one of them cracking apart on top of her, though she properly absorbed the blow and fell little of its effects. Dropping back into her guard, she prepared to receive the dual-wielding warrior again, though this time he employed a clever tactic. Against her will her shield her shield was pulled out away from her body, exposing a hole which was promptly taken advantage of. Her armor reduced the damage from the shortsword stab, but the weapon was still able to pierce through a little, digging into her side.

Gritting her teeth, Ilana decided to go on the offensive, activating the magic of her shield and lighting its entire face on fire now that her enemy had pulled it towards him. Charging forward to keep it close, she attempted to keep the shield pressed up against him, aiming to drive him back and pin him against a pillar.
