Time passed as the group sat around talking and eating, by now all had eaten and were simply resting and regaining energy. By now, Ka'ora had studied every inch of the Quest Map. Every step they took, the more the map would appear, and Ka'ora was constantly scanning for anything weird on it. Standing, she arched her back in a stretch and started to yawn, effectively waking up Iarzu. Picking up the map, she pet the bear and pulled him up so he could sit on her head. Walking over to the middle of the camp, she motioned for everyone to come forward. Pulling out the map, Ka'ora threw it into the air, bring her hands together in a praying like formation, she mentally said "Grow so others may see..." letting go, her lightning markings glowed for a second, before the map enlarged to the size of a dinner table, and laid still in the air.
"Okay, i hope everyone's enjoyed the break, cause we have two days walk ahead of us, this is what we've mapped so far" she let everyone get a good look at the map, before moving on "we're going to be getting deeper, so things aren't going to be so calm, the closer we get to the rifts, the closer we're getting to the center of all the chaos. Grab all your things, we're gunna be moving out in a couple of minutes" she let the map hang in the air for a little while longer, before pulling it back and rolling it up. She slid it into a holder that was strapped around her thigh. Iarzu jumped off her head and grew big, waiting for Ka'ora to climb up on top of him, she crossed her legs and and waited till everyone had begun moving and starting to pack up. After the final people were done, she started off towards the far side of the camp, moving down a seemingly endless trail. Turning, she looked at the other chosen "two things before we go, we are stronger together, so no heroics unless you have a partner, we all need someone watching our back. And if you get separated, dont make noise, you dont want that kind of attention, if you have a familiar, use them, they aren't bound to anything but you."
Minutes quickly became hours, which turned into days on the winding forest trail, it being relatively empty, with little to no action. Ka'ora felt uneasy, as would everyone, as they ventured deeper towards the magical chaos that was the rift. The trees suddenly began to thin out, stream rising from the ground like a fog almost. The sound of crunching as tree's being stepped on made Ka'ora stop and hold her hand up. Putting her hand on the hilt of her sword, a slight electrical discharge went off. Fog started to appear from the trees, and not just like light fog, it seemed to be a tidal wave of fog rushing towards them, coming to an abrupt stop, it was clear this was magical fog, or something magical was causing it. Ka'ora unsheathed her sword, taking the flat side, she swung with a tiny amount of lightning magic in her arms. Sending a huge wave of air to sweep across the fog, but it was only replaced with more fog. Taking the two metal rods, she connected them and then connected it to the bottom of her sword hilt. Making her sword spear, she held it across her lap, it coming out over either side of her "unsheathe your weapons, but dont attack anything, especially if its bigger, everything here is unpredictable but not out to kill you. Defense, the more we stir, the more we have to deal with" she looked back at the group "and remember what i said about getting lost from the group, the more noise you make, the more things you will attract..."
Then they stepped into the fog and suddenly sound seemed to become none existent. No crunching of trees breaking, no crunching of the leaves under them. Ka'ora could literally hear everyone breathing and that was it. Whatever used this fog, used it to catch its prey, it dampened the area the fog covers, making everything but you make no noise. If she had to imagine, whatever used the fog had amazing hearing, and hopefully didn't like human. The ground under them gradually started to turn into marsh, muddy and pools of water everywhere. The fog seemed to only let them see around the group in a small circle. Ka'ora began to realize she wasn't sure if they were going the right way, but instead of causing fear, she just kept going forward. Then the shrill shriek howl of a group of somethings rang through the air. Ka'ora stopped, standing she looked around as the group came to a halt, scanning the fog for shadows, anything. Then they came...
Tall blue beings, towering over them, stood in a circle around them. There was 7 at least, and she was sure she saw more shadows lurking around them. They were being studied or stalked, Ka'ora virtually holding her breath and preparing for a hellava fight. Instead one reached down, crouching and throwing its skinny claw like hand towards the standing Ka'ora. Gripping the staff of her weapon, she flinched as the being went to touch her. Stopping just short, it stood back up abruptly. They all released a series of shriek howls, making everyone cower from shear volume. Then they started moving, all of them at once, making the group move forward and following them, without getting crushed. Ka'ora looked back to make sure the group was still together. Turning back, soon the beings began to run, making them run in turn to keep up with them. If they were doing what Ka'ora thought they were doing, they needed to stay with their pace, because she had definitely lost all sense of direction at this point. Suddenly in front of them, a pocket of blue sky was seen, and then just as fast as they had seen it, they were out of the fog. Ka'ora stopped everyone and got off Iarzu to give him a break, the familiar poofing into smoke as soon as she got off. Ka'ora looking around them, she motioned for everyone to join her at the top of the hill, revealing one of the prettiest sights she had ever seen.
Breathing in she smelt the water in the air, not to far from them a building leaked water from its fourth floor onto the water that submerged everything. Ka’ora waved for everyone to follow as they got closer to the water fall. Coming to the edge of the water, where the huge river that ripped through the forgotten city touched the concrete and road, like a beach of sorts. Starting a fire, she stetched and turned on her heels, faceing the group “well we made it, i think another brea-“ she suddenly kicked up her spear from the ground into her hands, throwing it with lightning energy. It was discharging as it flew through the air, impalaing two zombies that were ready to jump on Ethan.
Pinning them to the concrete ruble behind him, lightning arc’d off of the spear and lit the area up, hitting several zombies around the group. It seems they were going to ambush the group, a small horde of about 30 zombies were left. “Circle up around Vita!” She disappeared in an arc of lightning, teleporting over ro her spear, she ripped it out of the concrete, teleporting in another flash over to Vita, kicking a zombie that was going to jump on her into the water. Just when i thought we could take a break...
Ka'ora say up above watching and studying each member of the group. At first it being silent, her son spoke up, introducing himself. She was so incredibly thankful to have him along, she knew at least one person in the group would always, ALWAYS have her back and that's something she needed not knowing most of the group to well. The next person to introduce themselves was Lachdonon, it pained her to see him, not because she hated him or was upset with him, but because he reminded her of Eurika. The relationship they had, it made Lach and honorary member of her family. He too was someone she could trust to have her back, not to the same degree as Ethan, but she loved him like a son. She rolled her eyes at his remark, she winked at him to thank him for joking, hopefully it was helping lighten the mood.
The rest began to follow suit, introducing themselves one by one. They were all so different and...angsty wasnt the word she wanted to use, but the only thing that came to mind. Chuckling as each person said their name, most of them didn't seem as sassy as they were coming off so that was good. There was however something that worried her, one being that Sammael, the light chosen choose to call out his twin sister she was assuming, and two that the she was unfamiliar with the death chosen. She had only met her maybe and handful of times, and she was familiar with the previous death chosen, they weren't the best of pals, but she trusted him. She wasn't going to assume anything or distrust anyone, but she couldn't be sure. Making a mental note, as the water chosen was the last to introduce themselves, she cleared her throat and stretched again "Alrighty well, thank you for sharing, you didn't have to but thats a step in the right direction. I dont want to come off as overly happy or trying to form an instant bond, i just need you all to understand the importance of us all being a unit. But enough of the dramtic talk, its nice to meet you all, lets just enjoy this down time, we'll have to get moving soon enough" Iarzu dropped to all fours and Ka'ora hopped off. Putting her hand on lips, she thought for a moment, her other hand crossed over herself. Looking over to Ethan and Lach, she motioned for them to come over to her.
Ethan had been carefully watching the others. Lach going after him was a given, he probably had the same idea Ethan had when he stepped up. While Ethan didn't consider Lach to be family on the same level that Ka'ora did, he was still certainly someone he looked up to on some level. Frankly, anyone that his sister had respected had a very easy in as far as that went. Sure, him being around reminded him of Eurika, and that wasn't exactly pleasant...but it wasn't something he could blame Lach for.
Sammael's quickness to draw fire to his own sister rubbed Ethan the wrong way. They were family, and yet he seemed to be more than happy to hurt her... That reason alone was enough for Ethan to doubt the light chosen's words. He could almost understand if he was cautioning the others for their sake, but it almost felt like Sam took pleasure in it. It was then that he made the decision to confront Esmeray about it personally, though that would have to come later.
Before Ethan even knew it, everyone had finished their introductions and Kaora had essentially allowed everyone to speak amongst themselves. Once she waved both him and Lach to her, he quickly made his way there, curious as to what she may need.
Lach glanced over to Vita as she introduced herself...He smiled, despite everything that had happened in the last few months, she still is one of the most happy and honsestly kind people he knew. She already had helped him so much in these last six months.
When Amathea then spoke up, commenting on how she could see how Ka'ora would be constantly kicking his ass. He shrugged and lowered his head in acceptance of that statement witth a smirk. "Sounds about right Thea." As she automatically shortened his name, he did the same for her. He did whisper under his breath... "Eurika was better at that though..." he said fondly, remembering the girl with a 'shocking' attitude. A mental image of her rolling her eyes at his horrible pun, popped into mind, bringing a smile to his lips. His hand reaching in a pouch on his hip, his fingers running over a silk ribbon.
As Samael spoke up, and introduced his sister, Lachdonon gave the guy a glare of his own. He wanted to smack the guy right then and there. He seemed to enjoy throwing his sister under the bus. In light of what happened and the rumors that ran rampant in the city. He was always taught to protect his own younger sisters. It was a role/duty of the older brother to do so. It was clear neither liked each other as she spoke up it just seemed to confirm it with her look to him. He closed his eyes and focused on the ground just under Sammeal. Even from here he could tell the dirt below him was loose, filled with gravel and dirt. Using his foot, he sharply shifted his right foot from left to right. A movement so lokey it was meant to be hidden unless you were looking for it. The gravel under Sammeal suddenly shifted. To everyone else...it would look like Sammeal just did the splits on his own accord. Lachdonon would only have a slight michivious smirk on his face. Though in his oppinion...he got off way to easy.
He glanced over at Ruby as she spoke up, he knew of her... abeit the fact that being the previous chosen's child was rare...two of them in the same generation was unheardof. Though he never got around to really talk to her. She did seem really shy though. Perhaps he could change that with this trip.
Lach glanced over at Ka'ora as she motioned him to come over, as well as Ethan. He had almost a spring to his step as he lept off the rock and over to her. Coming to a stop next to Ethan he folded his hands behind his head at the base of his skull. "What's up Ma?" he asked. Ma being what he called her ever since he and Eurika got close...
She looked towards the forest stuck in her thining pose, Iarzu came to sit next to her curling up and poofing into his small form. Ka'ora covered her mouth covertly, speaking low so only Ethan and Lach could hear "I want to ask you guys about this group, this is your generation of chosen, so im sure you guys have all met more then i've met them. I need to know who we need to keep an eye on, who i can especially trust" she looked up towards the other scattered chosen "I just want to make sure this mission runs smoothly."
She looked over to Esmeray "and my last question is, how well do you know her. I'm never going to judge a book by its cover, but i want to make sure i can trust her to have our backs, or if we turn the other way, she'll kill us just like all the rumors are saying she did her master. I knew that man, he wouldn't have died easy, so i already dont believe them, but i want insight from both of you because i trust you two with my soul" she looked at the both of them letting them decide who would speak first.
Lach lowered his hands to his hips as he twisted his lips to the side of his face as he thought about her questions. He then said softly. "Jonah is odd and likes to keep to himself. but he will work with us if he had to. Vita needs to be watched over, she's not much of a fighter, and tends to freak out during battles. But she wont shirk away. We do work well together." He glanced over at Esmeray and added as he looked back to Ka'ora. "I am sure Esmeray is not the murderer. I've talked with her before, and in that encounter there is no way a girl like that could kill six people in cold blood."
He slapped Ethan in the shoulder. "We gotta watch out for this kid though. Surrounded by all these beautiful girls...he's sure to knock them dead." He said with a warm smile.
Ethan glared daggers at Lach the second his hand made contact with his shoulder. It wasn't that he had too much issue with physical contact, but he had essentially predicted the words that came next. He decided not to dignify Lach's encouragement with a verbal response, instead looking back at Ka'ora.
"I don't really know most of the others too well. I mean, I've run into some of them a few times...just haven't had much reason." He said as his eyes roamed around to each of them. "Other than Esmeray, back when..." Ethan cut himself short instead of revisiting that whole event. "I trust her." He said with an affirmative nod, not bothering to look to Sammael. "That one though...anyone that would try and turn everyone against their own sibling...and so easily. I don't like it."
Lachdonon simply nodded at his last comment about Sammeal. "I agree wholeheartedly."
Ka'ora shook her head in agreeance pacing back and foward thinking about what was said "Okay, good, i trust you two are telling me the absolute truth, so ill act as ive been told. If this is the case about Sammael, then Ethan i want you to watch him and Es, make sure nothing fishing happens between them" she walked close to run her hand through Ethans hair "and lighten up kid, we got bigger things to focus on, like makin sure we get back home, yeah" she grabbed the back of his head "I wanna talk to Lach for a second okay, wanna grab some food for me? Maybe take some over to Es, eh?" she smiled and hoped that he would at least try for her.
Ethan clammed up a bit at Ka'ora's suggestion. It wasn't-he didn't-why would he...Nope, not happening. He didn't even know Esmeray, nor did he have all that much interest just yet. She seemed cool and everything, but...wait, why was he even trying to justify all that in his head? He didn't care really.
He retrieved a bowl of whatever was on the fire and sat by himself. Maybe he was being childish about the whole thing. He had no reason to think his mother was trying to set him up or anything, she probably just trying to make him have Esmeray feel a bit less alone...yeah, well he was definitely being an idiot.
Without even taking a moment to eat, he stood back up and grabbed another bowl and brought Esmeray one too. "You should probably eat too. It's probably pretty draining to have to deal with someone like him your whole life." Ethan said, subtly nodding towards her brother.
After Ethan walked away. He felt slightly jealous that he got that job. Esmeray was a pretty girl. Kind as well. He shrugged the thought off... Didnt mean he couldn't get to know her more either. He glanced back to Ka'ora and asked, "So what did you want to talk to me about?"
Around this time Mia came back to the camp, a large rodent in her jaws. She walked over to Lach and Ka'ora with an air of pride around her for catching something so quickly. She then came to a stop next to Ka'ora and dropped the rodent while leaning agianst her leg. Despite the natural deposition between lighting and earth, Mia had grown quite fond of the of the lady...her daughter as well. Mostly because of all the times she shocked Lach.
Ka'ora bent down and pet the fox, Iarzu stirring and playfulyl tackling the fox, wanting to play fight. Standing, Ka'ora grabbed Lachdonon's shoulder and smiled "I'm sorry i havent been able to come see and check on you as of recent, i've had a lot to deal with but how are you doing? You need a haircut you know that, just cause we're going through some grief doesn't mean we shouldn't take care of ourselves, i have one eye for christsake and i still look after my hair, what's your excuse huh?" she laughed, sighing and getting serious.
Lachdonon smiled as she pointed out his hair. Running his hand through it he shrugged. Oh come on... the girls love the thick hair. Makes me look dashing... he said with a smirk. It vanished when he noticed her getting serious.
Mia pushed her head into Ka'ora's hand enjoying the feeling untill she was rudely interupted by Iarzu who tackled her. She shrugged him off and tried to ignore him, as he attacked her again and again. Finally turning on him and tackling him. The two rolling away in their mock fight
"I need two things from you, and i need more then just your word Lach" she looked down into his eyes and exerted how serious she was through her aura. "I need you to watch over the healer girl, thats something i wont ask to make a God Agreement Contract for. Promise me you will look after this group and lead them back, even it kills you, not just this one time either, everytime we go out. Not only that, but more specifically i need you to watch over Ethan if anything happens to me, and to make sure everyone else is safe if something big comes, before jumping back to foolishly help me, are we in agreeance?" she took took her finger and etched her gods seal on her hand using lightning "blood agreeance..." she stared seriously at him through one eye.
Protecting Vita was simple, he already planned on doing that, he could never let her get hurt. But as soon as she started to say for him to lead the group back he started to shake his head, but she didn't give him an inch to say anything as she pushed on...adding more and more, to his promise. Ethan he understood, and already had givin himself that promise...believing that was what Eurika would have wanted him to do. She even started to make a God Agreement Contract with him. He shook his head and held up his hand to stop her. "Why are you saying this? You already know I will protect Ethan. You also know he wont listen to me, and why would the others? What are you expecting?
"Im expecting you to lead this group when i cant, you are apart of their generation, you are the oldest and you are the only person i can trust with this Lach. Between me and you, me being alive is a mistake, and i think whatever killed the other Vet Chosen, would have killed me if I wasn't the only remaining Lightning Chosen. That puts a target on my back, this is why i need you to make this agreement, Im not asking you as Eurika's mother, or Ethan's Mother, or even a friend Lach, I'm asking as a Chosen, so will you? For me?" she pushed her hand out and let it hang in front of him "If im asking to much tell me...but this is what I am asking of you from the bottom of my heart."
Lach's eyes never left Ka'ora's as she explained. He sighed and was silent for a moment. He didn't like it. But he couldn't just say no. He knew she wouldn't ask so much of him if she didn't believe in him. He bend down, shoving his hand effortlessly through the ground and pulling a sharp rock he just created with his movement. Standing up once again he paused to look at her, her hand outstretched to him ready to seal the agreement. He didnt' look as he took the rock and carved the seal of his goddess into his palm. "Thats unfair... you know I can't resist a plea from a lady." He said half jokeningly. Dropping the rock he reached out with his sealed hand and took hers. "By way of seal, gods hear our agreement and etche it in stone"
"By way of seal, gods hear our agreement and etche it in stone" Ka'ora made sure no one was looking as their hands glowed dimly and disappeared just as fast as it appeared. She let go and sighed "sorry for making it a big one, but i needed it for my concious, you're free, im gunna take the rest of the break looking at the map and making sure about our path, have fun" she glared at him jokingly "just not to much fun..." she smiled and turned on her heels, sitting against a tree and Iarzu coming to sit in her lap and look at the map with her.
Lachdonon nodded, showing he understood where she was coming from. Only to smirk when she told him not to have too much fun. "Cant promise I wont." He added as he glanced over to his familiar.
Mia came back and before picking up her rodent she said "That's right run away! That'll teach you to try and mess with me!" She said as she walked away, slightly panting. Clearly taking it as a win in her eyes.
He went over to the pot and grabbed himself a bowl as well. Looking to everyone in the group. His eyes settled on the two girls he didn't know very much. Amathea and Ruby. He then asked "So...Amathea and Ruby right? This your first time outside of the walls?"
Mia plopped down next to him and started eating her hard earned dinner. Not caring what the others might think.
Well at least we have a talkative group... she tried to make herself feel better, but all she could do was think about this whole situation. All her old team mates dead, in ways that shouldn't have happened, and on top of all of that, sending all them into the wild. She dropped her hood and looked around at the surrounding area, she stood, Iarzu under her in a slightly bigger form then his typical full size. She didn't remember when it happened, but she just remembered that he summoned himself to let her ride and let her feet rest. Now she just felt bad, knelling down and petting him, before hoping off and stretching. Taking in everything around her, she wished she still had two eyes, everything would have been so beautiful. The lush dense greens of the forest that surrounded them, they had hit it a while back and it just seemed to never end, which both worried her and made her glad to see something different and new.
Iarzu now reverted back to his baby form and chased a rodent up a tree, exploring the trees and jumping from branch to branch "This forest really does go on for forever" he spoke down in a cute squeaky voice. Ka'ora stared up at the baby bear jumping around and smiled, it was nice to see him like this, he had been sad for a while being coped up in town. Looking around everyone seemed to really be reserved, of course it was warranted but they needed to start getting one at least a first name basis if they wanted to all come back on this mission. Never have the gods given a task like this to ALL the Chosen, so that meant they consider this a huge threat, to much for a small team to handle. Whistling to get Iarzu's attention, as well as everyone elses, the bear jumped from the branch, aiming to land on her head.
Ka'ora caught him and dropped him "Nice try, mind transforming again for me?" Iarzu eyes instantly glowing, he blew up figuratively and almost literally, growing in size and standing. ka'ora climbed up and got on his shoulders, leaning on his head and looking down at everyone "ALRIGHTY, so i think there has been enough silence for one day, i know we're all still feeling the effects of losing important people. I lost not only my team mates, but my friends, so i understand. I just think we should all get on a first name basis, I know all of you know me, but i've only met you guys a handful of times" glancing at Ethan and Lach "and I dont know about you, but i plan on getting everyone back in one piece. We're gunna need to know each other for that to be possible, we're all connected and no one will understand you better then the people around you now. So needless to say, ill go first, Im Ka'ora Uilic and im the lightning chosen, something like that, add a fun fact if you want to, just trying to break the ice between us all" she looked at everyone with hopeful eyes.
Sexual Orientation: Bi-Sexual (was married to the previous female wind Chosen)
Chosen Marking:
Familiar: Type: Lightning Bear Name: Iarzu
Personality:
Ka'ora is a very particular person for a chosen, often called too soft for being a chosen. She is typically considered one of the much nicer chosen out of the remaining living Chosen Veterans. Truth be told, she often thinks that the job isn't for her secretly, she feels like she should have been a doctor or care taker, but she's learned it really doesn't matter what she thinks. Upon realizing she was going to be a chosen and told that was her destiny, she accepted to the best of her ability. A hard worker, a teammate and now with all the new chosen finally starting to replace her old friends, a leader and a guide where the others cannot be. Since the passing of her wife and adopted daughter, she holds on tight to her last and only remaining family member, her adopted son Ethan. She tries not to baby him in front of the others, but mothers will be mothers.
Ka'ora has a very calming personality much of the time, like that of a mother or a grandmother, because of her experience as both a mother and and a wife. She learned to deal with a lot of problems and bickering and happens to have a very soothing voice that lets people calm down and almost want to sleep. She loves to go through problems with people and act like a mother or therapist giving her opinion on what they should do or say. She is over all the nicest when it comes to those sort of things and she loves helping others a lot. Even if they aren't the nicest she tries her best to help a lot of others with the problem, whether it be physical or mental she does her best to give her knowledge and smile at the person. The gods find her personality interesting as she strives to help even the evilest of people before having to fight. As long as its not killing the innocent Ka'ora will help with almost, again almost, every task. Though there are some boundaries she will not cross, those involve her body, killing comrades and overall just wrongly hurting people. Those are the boundaries she will not cross even if her life is on the line and a sword is at her neck.
She can also be much like a sage when helping people through physical hardships, helping them train, even save their sorry asses if need be. She gonna try her best to help the newbies out whenever possible, even ones that aren't going to be fond of her. If the person is willing, she do her best to help them train, just ask nicely and she'll do her best to make you stronger. This part of her comes from the fact that she no longer has a chosen to train, her chosen dying in battle to save her. She loves giving advice that is honest regardless of if they will hurt your feelings she will not lie to you even if it comes down to saying something mean, she only wants you to get better and if things need to be said then she will say it, granted she does understand feelings and try to dial it back some but other then that you will get the truth out of her and nothing more. In the event that she does lie to you, which rarely will happen she would do it for the protection of not only herself but you and the people involved if it is that serious then at that point she will keep it to herself and only the people she is sure can handle it so that she does not cause mass panic.
She is a generally nice natured person, not hating of anyone, no race, no color of skin, all that stuff is nothing in her mind, even gender doesn't matter to her. She cares nothing of the color of skin or race because simply it is not one act that defines a group of people but individuals acts that determine the person. Make them who they are and give them a reason to make Ka'ora not like them. Even the most vile people in human history Ka'ora can get along with because she is simply fascinated with how they are and would love to have a one on one conversation with that said person. Nor does she discriminate or hate a certain race because she believes that everyone gets a second chance, with what they do with that is none of her business just that they deserve at least one more chance and if nothing was learned from the last time then and only then a lost cause she will give up on them. In her eyes even the meanest of people can be nice, whether it be small or big, she will show kindness to all people until they prove to her that they don't deserve her niceness what so ever. She could be considered a peace lover, which is ironic for someone like her but she thinks nothing of it, just love and peace will keep the remaining people she guards from being torn apart and turned into even more of a barren wastelands.
She is a kind soul that wont turn her back on something she believes in, only turning away when it is orders from someone she respects. Then and only then is she forced to do an act she is not wanting to do, a lot of things which she doesn't like doing but it forced because her positions demands so. In truth she hates doing some of things she does because her mind can only take doing so many things that cause fighting and death, she hates that in fact. If it were possible she would want to figure out a way to bridge everyone together and have them linked in an alliance instead of all this fighting and death that is unneeded. She keeps this wish secret though, because she knows its unrealistic to even hope for something like that, people and things are selfish, and that's something they must want to change for themselves . Still deep deep deep down she hopes and prays moments will happen when everyone throws down their weapons and can at least talk in peaceful conversations.
She has a very particular side to her that not not many see a lot but is more enjoyable to be around. it's her jokester side, the one that loves to be silly and joke around, hates seriousness, hates doing things but sleeping, hanging out. Basically this is how she thinks sometimes when she is in the best of moods and inside the walls instead of guarding them. Though this is when she is most likely not caring of danger, maybe even a little reckless and when fighting in this attitude it's is not safe for the ones around her and is even a danger to herself. Overall when she is like this she can be considered to have that of a surfer vibe and in the most extreme cases a "pothead" type vibe. On the bright side when in this mindset it's the best to ask her about advice about relationships or mental problems and she will go above and beyond to help you with the problem, again as long as it doesn't break the boundaries she sets.
TL:DR: Ka’ora is the Momma Vet Chosen, she’s looking out for all the little ones, and will do her best to guide them.
Chosen Element: Lightning
Complete Technical Mastery: Ka'ora being a veteran lightning chosen, as well as her adopted daughter being killed by the Storm Reaver and returning Ka'ora all her power, Ka'ora is stronger then she could have ever imagined. Having the most advance knowledge of her power, shes capable of most abilities that the lightning Chosen can possess. Of course she uses the style that fits her fighting most, she still however can preform a multitude of techniques. Firing off arcs of lightning from her marked sword spear, summoning lightning to strike down. Being able to discharge it like a Tesla coil. She also can channel lightning through her body, her most used style, to enhance her strength, speed, or pure power of her attacks. Her mana reserve is completely capped, as she has reached her plateau in terms of growth for her power.
Weapon Markings: A Highly advanced technique that Ka'ora and Flurissa stumbled upon, with the seal markings of Tormaigh, her Lightning God, it imbues the ability for Ka'ora to use it as a conduit for magic, allowing her to imbue it with lightning magic for devastating attacks, a target for her lightning to strike, and also a ticking lightning bomb of sorts, allowing it to work on a timer, before discharging all of the lightning magic from the spearsword coming off as arcs.
Weapon: The sword in her picture is part of a three part Sword Spear. The staff of the spear, breaks down into two rods, which she can use to stab into the ground and make make shift lightning rods. She has heavy combat experience using the sword, as well as the spear modification, so she typically switches between the two depending on the situation.

History: Ka'ora, born Kathrine Orain, was a child of small beginnings. Her parent's had both been just coming out of their teenage years when their beautiful accident had come into their lives. Nameless people, they attempted to give her a life full of meaning, but quickly her chosen markings developed. Not wanting to gain the noterity of being a Chosen's parents, they gave her up to Luminel's temple, leaving her on the door step and never looking back, unnamed and forgotten. When the disciples of the temple opened the door to see the blonde haird, red eyed baby, giggling up at them, they swept her up. Nothing but her in the basket and a ripped piece of paper with her name, Ka'ora. Once it was discovered that she would be the next chosen, she became the child of the Temple. Everyone treated her like their child, giving her the love that her parents hoped for.
It was long before she had begun training with the previous Chosen, Wicka, who had been the lightning chosen now for almost thirty years. He wasn't one of the favorites, but the man was one of the kindest. Ka'ora started this training at the age of four, when she found out how to activate the power by sheer accident. But as a result, she had put three other children in the hospital for two weeks. Forgiven but not forgotten, Wicka took her up on the wall and began the training that would make her into who she is now. He taught her to control her magic, to shape it, to...become it and understand what it meant to be a chosen. He taught her what it meant to be a human, to have compassion for others. She considered him her father, and when he passed, she learned the last lesson he wanted to teach her. The acceptance of death that would complete her training, to understand that being a Chosen, meant you had to accept the losses that come with being on top of the wall, looking down at people who depend on you to protect them.
All the while, through out her training, she often was paird with the other Wind Chosen, a beautiful red haired girl who also had red eyes. Because of the way the wind and lightning goddess and god work, they had a natural affection to each other. It started off innocent at first, they had quickly become best friends, accepting the magical bond the two share. Friends, turned into secret lovers, and then slowly they began to become public with their affections. They couldn't be seperated before long, and then, Ka'ora asked her to be with her forever, knowing that they'd both start to die when the next wind and lightning chosens were born. Flurissa never missed a beat with ka'ora, following her every step of the way, and thus they got married, becoming the first lesbian couple Chosens to get married. As the years went on, they only became more engrossed in one another, buying a home in the middle of their districts so that they could deploy to their portion of the walls when needed. The question of kids was asked after a couple years of their marriage but both agreed it would be unfair and to just wait for the next chosen to be born, any kid they;d had would end up an orphan and thats something they couldn't risk.
So time went on, until the next chosen were born. A baby girl had been discovered at the orphanage, no name, nobody to claim her. Ka'ora was brought in to ask if she could take her to Luminel's Temple, meeting the baby girl who, just like she had when she was dumped on the stairs of the temple, looked at her with all giggles. Ka'ora asked if she could instead, adopt the girl and train/raise her as one of her own. And so, the baby was born, Eurika Uilic, Ka'ora taking her home and surprising Flurissa with their baby girl. Then...Ethan was born...
History: Ethan was born to a lower middle class family near the southwestern section of the city walls. His father was a thirty or so year old city watchman at the time, though, after the discovery of Ethan's markings he quickly retired in order to help his already quite sickly wife raise their new child. Word quickly spread that the new wind chosen had been born, and it wasn't long before the whole family was fairly well known.
For four years, the family lived and, other than the odd incident with strangers being interested in the newest Chosen or being upset at the fact that his existance marked the end of the previous Chosen, a rather popular woman and close family friend named Flurissa. The woman in question was known to be rather kind and beautiful, though she would never admit to either. Her humility only gave her more popularity among the followers of the Wind God. Of course, with popularity comes fanaticism, and those fanatics were quite terrified to lose the woman they had followed unquestioningly for years.
That fear eventually came to a head, and a small group decided the only way to save Flurissa was to kill the young chosen that was to succeed her. The plan was simple, breaking into the small home and stabbing the four year old Ethan in his sleep. Even simple plans, however can be foiled by coincidence. When they entered the home, they found that the child wasn't in his bed...Because of a nightmare, he had just gone to wake his parents. As he was already awake when the door had come crashing down, Ethan's father grabbed his old spear and rushed to the front only to be cut down by three of the fanatics, only managing to take one with him as he screamed for his wife to escape with their child. As she was still quite frail, Ethan's mother barely managed to force him out the window and scream for him to run before a dagger was driven into her own back.
The only fortune in the whole situation was that Flurissa, who had been on a nightly walk, heard the scream and sprinted at full speed to the scene. The fanatics that had cornered Ethan not long after, were quickly and almost mercilessly pummeled by her wind magic as she quickly grabbed the crying child and fled the scene. After leaving Ethan at her own home and entrusting the job of consoling him to her wife, Ka'ora, Flurissa dashed back to the scene of the crime to find that her friends, Ethan's parents, were slain and lying in pools of their own blood. Of course, she had no idea why it was done. She didn't exactly have time to ask questions when she was focussed on getting Ethan away from the scene.
Ethan, while she was doing that, still had no idea what had become of his family. All he had known was that those scary men had been after him. The only thing he could ask Ka'ora was where his parents were and why Flurissa, who he had only known to have that gentle look in her eye, had looked so intense. Only being four, none of the events made any sense at all. The only thing he could do was to ask questions and cry to one of the few people he knew outside of his family.
Ka'ora had been eating dinner with Eurika in the home she shared with Flurissa, when she had bursted in with a child in her hands. Ethan in fact, the little boy that was the next wind chosen. Only meeting him a handful of times before, she had found that she had a natural bond with the child as well, not a romantic one, but one more of that of a mother or older sister. So when he had come in Flurissa's arms, who had given her a concerning look before running back out, she worried something big had happened. Instantly picking him up, she bounce carried him on her hip to help with his crying and brought him, with Eurika holding her other hand, upstairs where they had toys laid out. Signing to him, she sat down with him and Eurika in her lap and tried her hardest to calm him down. Iarzu, her lightning bear, summoned himself and played with the two, distracting Ethan, or rather trying to distract the boy from anything that happened.
Ethan was mostly comforted by Ka'ora and Iarzu, almost forgetting his unanswered questions. Though, as soon as Flurissa returned he ran to her for answers. He didn't understand when she wasn't able to look at him directly, he didn't understand the look of sorrow and guilt in her eyes, and lastly, he didn't understand when she sat him down and took Ka'ora into another room to explain what had happened. None of it made any sense, normally Flurissa was so cheery and almost motherly in Ethan's eyes. Something was wrong, and he wasn't going to just wait and find out later. He tried to follow the adults into the room only to be stopped by Eurika.
Grabbing his hand, she pulled him along to her books, pulling out one and having Iarzu read to them. She held onto his hand, holding his inner arm and following Iarzu with intense attention. Slowly, as the book droned on and Flurissa and Ka'ora stayed in the other room, Eurika started to fall asleep on the boy, trapping him under body heat and dead weight.
In the other room, Flurissa paced back and forth. She struggled to muster the words...to tell her wife that their friends were dead, that Ethan was now an orphan...but it wasn't that easy. After a few minutes of pacing, she turned and hugged Ka'ora, fighting back tears. Sputtering out what had transpired between sobs. She had no clue how to tell Ethan, truthfully she was heartbroken even without that burden. All she wanted to do was pick him up and hug him and swear that everything would be okay, but it wouldn't be that simple...And the words for it simply weren't there. Telling a four year old that he would never see his parents again, that people existed that were cruel enough to murder them, and even try to kill a small child...She lacked the strength to stand anymore, instead collapsing in to the hug.
Ka'ora wanted to mourn with her wife, but she knew she had to be strong. Instead she let her wife cry into her chest, holding her and whispering that things would be okay and that they'd figure out how to deal with it. She could feel Flurrisa's pure sorrow, making her tear up, but she only ran her hand through her hair and hugged her tighter as the woman burrowed deeper and deeper. Picking her up and sitting her down, she crouched and wiped her tears away. Telling her that it was their duty as Chosen to make sure Ethan wouldn't had to deal with the sorrow, so she Flurrisa promise that they would tell him, but not now. To only explain that his parents had gone away to get better and that they'd get to see him when he get better. They would brake the news to him when he was old enough to deal with the pain. Telling a 4 year old with the magic of a god that his parents had been murdered, might set off his powers and that could cause further hatred for the child from fanatics, if something were to happen of course.
Ka'ora's words calmed Flurissa down quite a bit. She was right, of course she was. The only thing they could do for Ethan now would be to take him in as their own. They could keep him safe...in fact, if anyone else took him in, it would just be risking this same event all over again. It wouldn't be easy to lie to him about it, but the truth would be the last thing he needed to hear as things were.
Ethan couldn't help but fall asleep under the weight of Eurika. Wondering what Ka'ora and Flurissa were talking about, if his parents were alright...But those questions weren't enough to stave off sleep. He drifted off, exhausted by the night's events.
Flurissa managed to compose herself, and cracked the door to a sight that left her both relieved and warmed her heart. Ethan was fast asleep under Eurika on the floor. The two were absolutely adorable. For a moment, she had almost forgotten everything. Her sorrowful look turned to straight determination, Ethan would be happy here. He would be safe, and if anyone tried to change that, she would end them.
Years went by, Ethan and Eurika grew quickly. Once Eurika began combat training, Ethan eagerly begged to start too despite their age difference. He had developped a habit of trying to imitate his adopted sister out of admiration. Flurissa was quite hesitent, but agreed anyway. They had both already been taught to read and tap into their element on a basic level, so it was the next natural step. While Eurika picked up on techniques easily, Ethan struggled desperately trying to keep up. It was as though his sister had almost no trouble learning advanced techniques while he could barely muster a simple gust of wind. Given the fact that they all lived together, it was natural that training almost always occured simultaneously. Of course, it would help both Eurika and Ethan learn to fight as a team in the future if they knew eachothers' fighting style and moves. Unfortunateley, given Ethan's slow progress, it seemed quite unlikely that he would get to that point. While he certainly grew more powerful, his control was almost nonexistant most of the time, often causing blasts of wind that he couldn't contain, even having to be countered by Flurissa on the occasion to prevent any damage.
Ka'ora had never felt this types of emotions towards anyone other then her wife. She loved the two children, it feeling like these two were truly hers and Flurissa's. It was quite funny however, Eurika definitely should have been the Wind Chosen and Ethan the lightning, Eurika caught on incredibly fast, much faster then she ever hoped to as a kid, in fact she was alot like Ethan in the aspect that she wasn't as good as picking up advance techniques. She totally knew how to train a kid like Ethan, because she was Ethan as a kid, with Eurika, it was almost effortless, she was so elegant in her movements, she reminded her of Flurissa to the T. The girl just seemed to click, she did however match Ka'ora's personality, attempting to teach Ethan when they had time to themselves. Eurika had embraced being Ethans sister, not even thinking about the two years that seperated them. She felt like he was truly her twin, that she was meant to help and grow with him.
Most would see Ethan's position as frustrating or disheartening, the fact that he could barely control his power and had to accept help at almost every turn, but not once did he see it that way. Even when he failed he never lost hope that he could be strong like his older sister or either of his mothers. The fact that they continued to help him practice just convinced him that they at least saw something despite his struggling. Even if he didn't know what that something was, he knew that it had to be there. So, every day he practiced as hard as he could, following every instruction that Flurissa gave him to the best of his ability. Oftentimes it would blow up in his face, but he still pressed forward, convinced that he could be strong too. Eventually, he started practicing in private whenever he was left alone. Trying to make the techniques he had been struggling with work, even if they just wouldn't click. Many windows were lost with each failure, but he slowly began to at least be able to control the outbursts.
Flurissa never commented on the broken windows or other damage, she knew Ethan was just coming into his own. Even when she felt inadequate as a teacher, she knew the boy would eventually figure it out. Perhaps she had been wrong to try and teach him the same way she was taught, clearly it hadn't been sticking. All she knew to do now was continue to help him practice whenever possible, and support him in any way possible.
She couldn't help but smile whenever she saw Ka'ora practicing with Eurika though, it was always great to see how quickly their daughter was maturing. It would take no time for her to master her lightning at this rate. That fact was bittersweet, how in a matter of years it would be time for the new Chosen to replace them...for them to leave their adopted children to grow up on their own. The only true consolation was that Eurika and Ethan would have eachother.
Then...everything changed, by this time, Eurika and Ethan had been well aqquinted with their power and job as the next chosen. You could tell that Ka'ora and Flurissa were slowly losing their powers, enough so that missions required the four of them to go outside the walls whenever they were deployed. This day should have been no different. They had been sent on a mission to track some sort of big beast that had been spotted on the outskirts of the dying forest that was visible from the walls. It was said to be a humaniod being on a wolf of some sort, glowing in the dark and when it was spotted would simply vanish. It was suppose to be a simple track and report missions, but they were so incredibly wrong.
It didn't take long for the veterans to realize something wasn't right. Despite not seeing the creature, the feeling that they were being watched kept Flurissa's hairs standing. She instinctively kept herself between the outer perimeter and the two younger chosen. They were being hunted. She couldn't tell for sure where it was, but they were being watched, studied...judged.
The piercing wail from their flank immediately caused Flurissa to launch both Ethan and Eurika backwards toward the wall. The monster that made the sound chilled Flurissa to the very core. It was about eight feet tall whilst on its mount, but it seemed quite bulky. Unlike many of the monsters that ever neared the wall, it was armed...The long axe in its hand pointed directly at the group as it bellowed out what she could only assume to be a challenge. She took up a defensive posture despite her shaking, whatever this thing was easily beyond them.
It stood, just breathing, its body was a mix of bone, flesh and frabric. It seemed like he was completely melded with his cloths, not only that but he didn't move his legs, as if he was part of the wolf itself. Ka'ora virtually bolted towards Flurissa, using her lightning to enhance her speed. Stopping lightning dispirsed and thunder sounded. Holding Flurissa's hand she squeezed it reassuringly. No chosen prior had fallen victim to anything outside the wall, they would be no different.
unsheathing the two bars from her weapon holster on her back, she connected them and then connected the road to the hilt of her sword. Standing in an equally defensive stance, she waited with Flurrisa for the thing to attack. Then suddenly, it was gone, seemlingly disapting with the wind. Following, the screams of Eurika and Ethan followed, but this wasn't truly them. The thing was mimicing they're voices, playing with Flurissa's and Ka'ora's mind. Ka'ora's blood churning, she bolted forward, jumping and Iarzu appearing bigger then he typically was, arcs of lightning flying off the two. Pure rage filled her mind as she raced towards the sounds of their children, hoping Flurissa was following her.
Eurika opened her eyes, her back towards the wall, with the beginning of the forest in front of her. From inside the forest, she could hear Ka'ora and Flurissa, calling out their names, begging for help. Looking to her right she saw that Ethan had yet to wake up from being blown back from Flurissa. Looking between the forest and Ethan, she felt a sudden sense of doom. Standing she looked away, and sent volts into Ethan, making sure he'd stay asleep, she knew this could end bad, and she wouldn't let him risk his life trying to be a hero. Turning, she ran back into the forest trying to find the two by their voice.
Flurissa sprinted alongside Ka'ora. She wasn't about to let Ka'ora fight this thing alone. Surely between the two of them it would be possible. Her familiar, Gust, formed around her left arm as she drew her shortsword with her right. Only a moment later she felt the wind get knocked out of her as something hit her directly in her solar plexus.
The moment she hit the ground, she rolled and quickly surveyed the area around her as she tried to gasp for air. Spying the creature raising its axe high, she managed to pool her magic and launch herself a few feet to evade the heavy swing that sundered the ground under the space her neck was just a moment ago. She couldn't muster enough breath to shout for Ka'ora, only hoping she noticed when she was knocked down. Forcing herself to jump at the monster with her blade firmly in her hand, surrounded by wind, she plunged the sword directly into on of its eyesockets and let out a blast of wind directly into its face.
The sword stuck in, but without flinching, the monster grabbed Flurissa by the throat and forced the sword out of her hand, simply leaving it stuck into the hole. It adjusted the axe in its other hand and prepared to swing and deal a decisive blow.
Iarzu let out a screaming roar, so much it shook the ground. The thing turned its head, turning it to the side, as Iarzu ran full speed at the beast, The wolf it sat upon, turned, only to be lifted up by the neck from iarzu. Ka;ora jumped off of him at the sametime, slashing at his arm and cutting it, catching the falling Flurissa, Ka'ora planted her sword spear into the ground and spun, using their momentum to swing them around and kick the thing into the wolf it was mounted on while Iarzu lifted it up onto two legs. The wolf swung wildly with its paws, slashing at Iarzu and clawiing his face, making the bear wince. Ka'ora took her spearsword and shoved it into the beast, pinning the two into the ground. Jumping off, she aimed her hand at the sky, firing lightning into the sky and saying a blessing, before running and jumping on Iarzu. Quickly they ran away as a enormus strike of lightning landed where the spear was. Looking back, only her spear was in the ground, the thing suddenly gone.
Seeing the strike of lightning, Eurika quickly ran towards it. Then she saw it and she froze. In the distance, a lurking shadow was menacingly walking towards her. Running the opposite direction, she started screaming for Ka'ora and Flurissa. The thing gave out another shriek, and bolted after her, the being ontop seeming to let out a gut wretching laugh.
Flurissa looked to Ka'ora, relieved for just a moment before hearing Eurika screaming for them. She knew it could just be a trick, whatever this thing was was much more intelligent than anything the stories spoke of. It was treating them like toys. Before Ka'ora could even react Flurissa took off at a speed she wasn't even sure she was capable of. The magic surrounding her rustling every tree she passed, with a shout she passed Eurika and continued her lunge to strike the creature with everything she had. The grass around the monster was ripped up by the resulting whirlwind as she continued to drive into its chest. Her markings glowing brightly, the wind focused into what would appear to be a small tornado concentrated directly on top of their location. For just a moment, it seemed like the attack had a fairly profound impact, until the monster's eyes glowed and a whirlwind with a counter rotation canceled Flurissa's magic. and left her defenseless. With a mighty backswing, electricity formed at the blade of its hulking axe. With a swathe of blood, Flurissa was launched into a tree. She spasmed uncontrollably for a moment before struggling to stand. Barely glancing downward, she spotted where the axe had struck her. The deep gash from her left shoulder to her right hip was all it took to put her back kneeling as the pain washed over her.
The wolfwarrior bounding towards her, its blade dragging behind it through the ground. Raising it high, it sent the axe flying downwards, a trail of lightning following it. Not even thinking about it, Eurika suddenly appeared next to the bleeding out Flurissa. Pushing her ouf ot the way as the axe came down and an enormus arc of lightning shot up as it not only struck Eurika, but the tree behind her as well. The smoke cleared, the monster pulling its axe away and swinging it to clean, a audiable splatter painting the ground. In its wake, the tree had been cut clean down the middle, at the bottom...lay Eurika cut clean in half.
Ka'ora rushing onto the scene, she glanced to see Flurissa on the floor, cowering from pain and blood pouring out of her. Her eyes desperately scanned for Eurika, knowing she was somewhere. Then her eyes fell on the tree, where the beast stood, staring at the girl cut in half. It went to let out another screech, only to have a glowing Ka'ora standing on top of the wolf and infront of him suddenly. She swung her first at its chest with all her rage, it connecting and sending huge burning arcs through the thing and out its back, striking and lighting the forest on fire. It fell back, seemingly knocked out, as the wolf shook to get her off. The thing quickly rose back up, the color in Ka'ora's skin draining. Grabbing her by the neck, it screeched in her face, and proceeded to run with Ka'ora dragging against the ground. Taking her by her hair and slaming her over and over, before tossing her up and batting her with the back of the head of the axe, sending her through tree's. Iarzu jumped to catch her and stop her projectory.
Then just as Ka'ora did, the thing appeared behind Iarzu, raising his axe once more and sending it down with the same magic that killed Eurika. Splitting open the back of Iarzu, the familiar puffed out of existance, leaving a tatered Ka'ora struggling to even get to her knees. Taking her once again, he drug her by her hair over to Flurissa, pulling her up and looking at Flurissa. Taking its bone hand, it reached towards Ka'ora's face, watching Flurissa's reactions as her wife had her eye pulled from her head. Dropping her, Ka'ora screamed in pain, covering her eye as she looked on in horror. The thing went over to Eurika's remains, pulling an eye out of of the left half of her body. Turning back, it went over to Ka'ora, standing over her. Raising it's axe, Ka'ora weakly lifted her hand towards Flurissa, her life memories starting to flood back into her mind.
Flurissa could barely even register what was going on anymore. Between watching her adopted daughter being split in half after saving her...saving her when she had what was already likely to be a fatal wound. All she could do was look Ka'ora in the eye, desperately trying to find the strength to save her. In a moment of clarity and adrenaline, she pushed herself forward enough to embrace Ka'ora one final time. She forced every bit of mana she had left into Gust, begging her to save Ka'ora and get the only two people she had left to safety, she managed a final 'I love you' before vomiting blood and launching the injured Ka'ora back towards the wall with Gust keeping her aloft until they reached the area Ethan was just beginning to stir. Seeing the creature's frustration at the loss of its prey, she mustered a slight grin as the light finally drained from her eyes.
Ethan came to, a desperate wind familiar ushering him to get up. The first thing he saw was Ka'ora, barely alive. Without any other thought, he picked her up and pulled her back towards the closest gate. He desparately looked for Flurissa and Eurika, figuring they had to have already made it back. Ka'ora would have been the type to stay back and fight while they ran, so they had to be okay. As soon as he made it to the gate, he heard a sick thump as something landed by his feet. The dread he felt as he looked down was almost too much, but the sight...Flurissa's severed and eyeless head sent him over the edge as he lost consciousness. Thankfully, the pair was dragged into the gate and given treatment immediately.
Ka'ora never really was the same after that, she was changed forever and it wouldn't be changed until she killed what they now classify as a "Hunter" a being of power that hunts them down for the god magic they hold. She moved with Ethan from their home and built a home on the wall, she couldn't bare to be in the same home that Flurissa and Eurika had lived. She found herself crying in private, and going to Ethan to simply just hug him, without much explination but it was pretty easy to figure out what she was going through. Things were different now, she had gained back her full power, it no longer being split with another chosen, and vice versa the same followed for Ethan. She now made her job, to train him harder then he trained before, they were going to kill that thing, Storm Reaver, and they were going to make sure it felt their rage.
After the events that day, Ethan became much more reclusive. The only person he really spoke to for years was Ka'ora, and even then it was much less than he used to. He broke down regularly, focussing everything he had into training. He completely discarded Flurissa's fighting style to distance himself from anything that could trigger those memories. Instead he taught himself to compress his magic to the point of it being volatile. Essentially he creates bombs using wind.
As much as he wants the monster that killed his adopted mother and sister dead, he's more concerned with Ka'ora's safety. As things stand, she's all he has left, and he won't lose her.
Other: -She is one of the remaining Last Generation Chosen to still be living, let alone have her full power, so by just statistical terms, shes currently one of the strongest chosen.
-She has about 26 years of training and experience as a chosen, making her one of the longest fully running Chosen on record, and she is the oldest fully active Lighting Chosen to date.
-With the loss of half her family, she now holds those closest to her extremely close and takes her job beyond seriously, she is waiting for the moment the Storm Reaver shows its face to her again.
-It is also confirmed, she is a part of a small group to ever encounter a hunter and walk away with her life, walking being subjective...

@Sailorsadie@jynmi88 As for you two! We are gunna make the final decesion tomorrow, as we are kinda tired, but we'll give an answer as soon as we're all on tomorrow, thanks for the entry you two!
Weapon Markings: A Highly advanced technique that Ka'ora and Flurissa stumbled upon, with the seal markings of Luminel, her Lightning Goddess, it imbues the ability for Ka'ora to use it as a conduit for magic, allowing her to imbue it with lightning magic for devastating attacks, a target for her lightning to strike, and also a ticking lightning bomb of sorts, allowing it to work on a timer, before discharging all of the lightning magic from the spearsword coming off as arcs.
History:
V.O.I.C.E stood on the outside of the ship, gazing into this systems twin suns. Her eyes seemd to be glued to the planets that wete visable aside from the one whose gravity well thwy were leaving.
“Scanning Planet...3% complete” her internals spoke to her, as she sat and stared at the odd planet with rings next to them. Normally she would scan from the inside of the ship, but this was uncharted space, she wanted to see it for herself. “Scan at...10%...would you like t-“ suddenly her vision began to flash red, her eyes focusing in on the wave that was being sent towards the ship,
“Pull me in guys, somethin-“ the tether operator not having enough time to even process what she had asked. Once the wave washed over the ship, V.O.I.C.E was thrown back against the ship and had suddenly powered down.
As she laid stuck to the ship, her body had began restarting, all the while the ship started diving towards the planet.
“40%...diverting all systems to increase repair...70%”
The bridge called for engineers but it fell on dead ears as V.O.I.C.E was stuck reprogramming the damaged parts of her that were stopping her from rebooting. The ship began to breach the atmosphere, the metal's starting to heat up, as did V.O.I.C.E, the tether crew tried manually reeling her in, pulling her inch by inch against the force of crashing down from the heavens
"100%...Emergency wake up protocol, Alpha Threat... Reboot commenced, wake up in 3...2..."
V.O.I.C.E's eye's popped open her vision screaming red at her to hurry the fuck up. She slowly reached for one of her blades as the ground seemed to be getting closer. She cut the line, making her fly like a ragdoll against the ship, only stopping for a moment when she stabbed into the ship to stop herself. She whipped against the ship repeatedly, holding on for dear life.
"Shell Arm integrity 70%... Probability of survival lowering from 75% to 55%..."
Looking to the side, she saw jail cells flying off of the ship and into the vast jungle. Unhitching her blade from the ship, she was sent flying, calculating there was a 38% chance she would hit a jail-cell...and you bet your ass she liked those odds. Free falling for a second, she suddenly felt metal on her back as she pressed up against a cell that had released. Holding on to random metal pieces protruding from the ship, she held on for impact.
Moments later, the cell landed, flipping and tumbling multiple times. V.O.I.C.E instantly went to let go, only to realize that she jumped slightly before a slope. Unable to stop the momentum from taking her, she started down the slope, slipping and tumbling incredibly hard down it. Hitting branches, exotic alien flowers, maybe even what she thought was an animal or too, she came to the bottom, rolling directly into the cell with enough for from hitting her head, it sent her into a safe mode to run diagnostics on the shells condition.
Upon waking up, she could hear inmates standing in front of her.
"I haven't touched a women...in so long..." one of them licked his lips, advancing towards V.O.I.C.E, starting to take his pants off. Upon going to touch her cloak, V.O.I.C.E grabbed his wrist, crushing it, then pulling him forward, she bolted up to headbutt him in the face, practically crushing his nose into the back of his head. Kicking him square in the chest, he flew back into the other inmate, the inmates dead body pinning the skinner inmate under it. Walking up to them, V.O.I.C.E raised her blade above her, the blade pointing down.
"Wa-" stabbing through the dead man, into the pinned inmate, she dragged downward, a incredibly gruesome scene left in the aftermath. Pulling the blade out, the A.I slashed the blade in the air, towards the cell, painting it in the blood that was left on the blade. Standing, she heard another three inmates approaching her position, turning on her cloaking system and running towards the trees. She quickly climbed up a tree high enough to view the inmates coming towards the gory scene. They quickly rushed to the dead men's side, checking to see if they were alive, before looting the bodies. She squatted and observed them, then suddenly she saw movement in the jungle growth that was behind them and closer to the cell. Waiting, she watched as three enormous bug looking beasts (Kakiirath) walked slowly on the edge of the brush. They had a neigh indistinguishable camouflage working for them, coming closer and closer the unsuspecting inmates, until the bugs were directly in front of the inmates, and V.O.I.C.E directly behind them.
V.O.I.C.E began running a scan on the bugs, recording them, then suddenly, the bugs launched with a lightning fast speed, all three sprinting towards an individual inmate. The inmates tried to stand their ground, firing at the bugs, to which the bugs dodged without effort, all jumping and landing on top of their targets. It took two seconds for each bug to completely eat the head off of the inmates, not even allowing them to let out a scream. The bugs picked up the each body in their...hands? and sped off into the jungle.
V.O.I.C.E stopped scanning and recording and waited, making sure there was no current threat, she had no doubt she could fight the things, she just didn't want to have to deal with it. Looking at the cell, she jumped down and walked over to it, starting to pull metal off and eating it. After a couple minutes of endless eating, she began to run the mini-forge within her. Starting to make parts of a rifle she choose as a good choice for distance and medium range conflicts, up close she had handled. Then she used the rest of the metal's to make six 20 7.62 round mags. Putting them in mag holsters on her chest and waist, she quickly assembled the rifle and set her camouflage on, before grabbing the body of the rifle running back into the jungle.
Age: Human Age: 24 Yrs Android Age: 3 Yrs of Operation
Gender: Considers itself as It, but will respond to she/her
Appearance: V.O.I.C.E stands at an almost daunting 6'0 when standing straight, it is made of dozen of interesting parts. Her actual exoskeleton is made of a special alloy developed by her creators, to be both incredibly strong to hold her body up, but also highly maneuverable for the perfect cybernetic responses. It has white hair, but It does have the capability to change it to whatever hue It chooses, white is just more her color. It has a weird purple/red hue to her almost grey/white eyes, especially when light is hitting it. It also typically has a metal type apparatus on her head, depending on her shell, and will also vary on effect depending on the shell. Shells are the outer "shelling" of V.O.I.C.E's body, each shell comes with a set of enhancements and all vary in looks. During its time of operation as an Android, it has been retrofitted with dozens of different model shells. Currently, it has three body shells, Type S, which is most it's most common body shell that Voice will be found in (and also the one used in the picture above), Type C, her combat mode and Type O, think hulkbuster-esque shell.
More of a balanced shell, It mainly uses this shell, as it has the most capabilities for handling multiple situations, it is also her most agile form. Mostly covered by a dress/overcoat type of clothing, it is all black, making it hard to see much of anything under it. It uses that to her advantage, though to anyone who knows about her shells well, will know that under the cloak dress, is a very light, alloy, the least durable of her Shells, this shell is more for stealth, infiltration, recon, any of the like. V.O.I.C.E in this shell, will still have white hair, and the described eyes as before. Along with this, she'll have snow white skin, at least the skin that's visible. On her head in this form, she has machinery that looks a tad bit like animal ears on her. Traveling down her body, you'll notice her clothing is not so much clothing, as it is actually a part of her body. The darkest black obtainable on the market, it marks the beginning of where most of her visual mechanical parts are located. Her alloy body, sealed within the black parts of her, they hold her vulnerable insides. The seal over her mechanical neck and body is made of a special latex, made to mimic the feeling of skin. It also is durable in the sense it doesn't rip easy, almost like a touch fabric over Voice's metal insides.
V.O.I.C.E's Type C Shell is its most mechanical shell. Built with a much harder and dense alloy, this shell doesn't have the same mobility of course, being much more heavy set to handle it's weapons and purpose. Leaving behind the espionage black, this shell dawns a light grey, with dozens of red markings all over her body. She also has many holsters built into the shell for maximum weapon capacity. Instead of being hidden under a cloak like thing, this form is primarily machine, the only things organic looking being the top half of her jaw and face, her eyes and her long light pink hair hair. She also has an "eye-patch" of sorts over her left eye, her other a glowing hot red.
Probably Voice's second most simplistic shells, she reverts back to her short hair, this time it typically being grey. Like the other shells, this one is mixed with the same latex and alloy material, however this shell is the strongest and most durable. Instead of having normal looking arms, they're replaced with enormous mechanical knucklebuster esque hands/arms.
Honestly, this is V.O.I.C.E's least used Shell, it's more of a civilian shell, that's really all that can be said, it has more 'skin" showing then any of the other shells, and is the most human looking, it's mechanical part hidden under a hoodie dress. This shell is not meant for intense combat scenarios whatsoever!
Equipment: General Equipment: -Typically on her person she holds up to eight Arraxi metal, Katana-esque blades. They fold to narrowly into the size of its handle 4 ways, to take up less weapon space. The blades themselves are sharpened to the maximum, cutting through skin like it was paper or chopping through bone with one clean powerful swing. This blade mixed with V.O.I.C.E's android strength and processing ability, make these extremely deadly. (She doesn't use them when in her Type O Shell)
-Equipped with two napalm-esque grenades, these are mostly used for crowd control, it'll fuck ya up if ya get splashed, but it works as a good deterrent as well.
-Along with the napalm grenades, she has three 9 inch blade, knife grenades, the explosives being hidden in the handle.
-Various different guns at different times, created from her unique ability Miniforge (Also includes bullets that she has to make).
Attunement/enhancements:
Hyper Intelligent A.I: V.O.I.C.E, or Vicious. Operating. Intelligence. Cybernetic. Enforcer, was first known as E.V.A, or Environmentalist Virtual Assistant, was first made by a young Cybernetic/A.I Engineer by the name of Manaka Akira. Working on the project with an Arraxi Colleague, named Kovaki, worked together to create something that was meant to beautiful. An extremely smart and sentient A.I once known as E.V.A was meant to change the world in the young engineer's eyes. E.V.A was designed to analyze constantly, and create ways to go about things safer/faster/more efficient. This was suppose to create ways to better farming habits, make reforestation efforts more efficient, finds ways to clean the air, assist in making renewable gas sources. At first the A.I worked like it was suppose to, but then Manaka with thoughtful intent, programmed the A.I for sentience, in fact, one of the most complex levels of sentience. The following days, E.V.A had changed drastically, questions everything, desired knowledge. It quickly became an information sponge, and when they introduced her to the internet, that was the beginning of the end. She's capable of many different things, and she has the ability to handle most situations with enough processing time.
Android Arraxi/Human Alloy Body: Though they vary in durability and strength, they all have a couple of common enhancement. Each one of her shells, even her Type A, were built with the intention to last hundreds of years. Durable enough to take the impact of a car speeding towards her at speeds over 60 miles and taking decent damage to the over shell, her internals however stay completely fine. The shells are also capable of withstanding fire (it will melt off the special latex "skin" on her body, allowing water to be much more likely of flooding the shells systems). With prolonged exposure (three post of exposure), it's systems will fall into a "sleep" in order to rapidly cool itself down, this being OOC wise about two post.
-Type A: The weakest durability of all the shells, this shell cannot take bullets anywhere but her chest (even then she can be dented from the bullets), it wont kill her necessarily but it will damage her substantially. Same with slashes from blades or stabbing, it'll go through in most areas of the shell, but her chest is the only place that can handle piercing damage like that. Do note, it'll dent the fuck out her chest with enough force, and that in itself could do damage. This shells strength limit is about 150 pounds each hand, 300 pounds together. The maximum running speed this shell is capable of outputting 20 mph effortlessly.
-Type S: This shell was built for covert operations, that being so, this shell can take a decent amount of damage. Being able to stop blades from stabbing through most areas, her head, arms and legs are more susceptible to piercing attacks at the right force, or over multiple attempts in one area. This shell can take some bullet damage, but by no means can it juggernaut things, higher caliber bullets would easily tear through her weaker areas (these include arms, legs, eyes, vulnerable ligaments). It's skull and chest are reinforced to stop blades at the tip, again at the right force, it could go through. Bullets also will find it hard to pierce through the surface, but a big enough caliber of bullet will find the attacker some luck, with a shot or two. This shells strength limit peaks at 200 per hand, 400 pounds together. The maximum running speed for this shell is capable of outputting 35 mph effortlessly.
-Type C: Known as it's combat shell, the Type C shell is actually the most durable of the shells, this shell has the most metal alloy on them. Only heated blades, a blade coming at her with enough force, or an energy blade could cut through it. This shell is virtually bullet proof, only the highest caliber bullet would be able to pierce any of the shell. Specifically built for extreme combat situations, this shell is also capable of absorbing the explosion of a grenade once, any more than that and like anything else, it'll get shredded. Rockets are a completely different story entirely. The peak strength for this shell is 300 in each hand, 600 together. The maximum running speed for this shell is capable of outputting 30 mph effortlessly.
-Type O: The "Omega" shell, a mix between all the shells, this shell is about as durable as the type S shell, it cant take bullets slightly better, but blades are a different story. What this shell makes up for in lack of durability, it makes up for with being physically the strongest. Capable of running up to 25 mph effortlessly, this shell is Voice's "juggernaut" shell so to speak. Peak strength for this shell, is 500 per hand, 1000 together.
Environment Adapting Systems: This one is sorta self explanatory, her vision will switch modes automatically to fit the current conditions, things of this nature etc etc. Nothing OP like her body morphs into a giant monster to fight a giant monster, just small technical stuff that allows her to continue function without mishaps.
Environment Pulse Mapping Scans(EPMS): Built into Voice's shells, is a scanning system that works exactly like echo-location. By sending out pulses of sound through the ground, she can begin to map the surface area of about half a kilo around her. She can determine how much detail she's trying to achieve, by the amount of time she leaves herself into the ground. It takes about three IC post rotations for the scan to finish and map accurately. Note when she injects herself into the ground, she must sit still and let the pulses out, when she sends pulses out, the iconic sound of Dial Up goes off and it's quite the attention maker.
Interactive Holographic Projections: Another easy to explain one, this enhancement allows her to project maps she's made, models of things she wants to show. But it also allows people and her to touch them and move them apart to reveal more things, etc.
Type A: This shells specific enhancement is called "The Lawyer", more of a setting then anything else, when Voice is in this shell, she gains a substantial boost in her analytical processing. This means in this shell, she's her smartest, clearest thinking. This shell is meant for diplomatic, formal, or anything of the like.
Type S: The enhancement here is called "Environment Mimicking Cloaking System (EMCS)", another pretty easy one to explain. Working like that of Avenger's enormous helicarrier, it's works the same in principle, fitting it in our world terminology, this shell is covered in a cloak. Regularly, it's shaded with the darkest black possible, making it impossible to tell where fabric ends and begins. Aside from that, when Voice activates it, microscopic "cameras" pick up what's located around her and her body is "cloaked" with the environment around her. She's not by any means invisible, if looking hard enough, you can see a very slight outline of the shell when its moving. Standing still, it's incredibly hard to pick up without aid and even then, it's a struggle.
Type C: This is enhancement is called "Berzerka" and it's her most deadly enhancement out of all of the shells, or general enhancements. Similar to "The Lawyer", this enhancement is a programmed setting. She cant switch it on and off, it just set to always be active. When Voice plunges into this shell to use, her combat systems are dialed up to an 11 so to speak. She gains incredible combat prowess, she becomes a literal killing machine. This setting also gives the shell a peculiar "tick" if you will. If she sets her eyes on killing you...good luck, once you're registered as her target, she will stop at nothing to kill you, or die trying.
Type O: Easily her most simplistic enhancement, it's name is "Doomfists", and they take the form of exhausts on the back of this shells enormous hands and on the back of her legs. Where these exhaust are placed, they can be used for short propulsive bursts, adding incredible damage to the already strong shell. These propulsion can also be used to jump even further, or clear small distances
Unique Ability: Miniforge: Built within in the confines of all her shells, is something she refers to as "Miniforge". Now without getting into to much technobabble, this part of her shells works as a forge or sorts that's linked to her brain. Upon eating metals (any only metals), her insides in turn melt it down and work like a forge, linked to her computer brain to allow her to make ballistic guns with computer level accuracy. It takes about a post to replicate a weapon, the bigger it is, the more material and time she'll need to form it. Handguns/Submachine-Guns/Knives/etc take about one post, anything bigger will take two post and she must not take any damage while making said weapons. Bullets she can make on the go, and they can be made in the same post, once per post, the amount dependent on how much material she's eaten.
Infectious A.I: Her most important ability, and the one purpose Voice exist in her eyes. Her A.I is a very peculiar one, when created, it was innocent, but as it began to learn, it began to edit itself. It added things to it's programming that otherwise would have never existed, this being one of them. With snake like wires that extend from her fingers, she can attempt to inject herself into technology, programs, etc, inputting her A.I completely into it. When she does this, she loses control of her body, and if her shell is destroyed while she is injected into something, whatever she injected into herself is her new body until she can get out or someone helps her. Now there are several different reactions typically when she injects herself, one being like the ability says, she infects the object and begins pulling data, coping it to herself, and then she has the choice of destroying it or using it however she chooses (This is the best scenario, as if this works, then typically she can control whatever she's in or trying to take a hold of). Another scenario, whatever she's injecting herself into rejects her and forces her out almost instantly, locking itself from her injecting again. This typically happens if she's not prepared for a system built for the purpose of thwarting "intruders". Some situation, she encounters systems that have defenses and she has to defeat the system in order to pass, like a minigame of sorts almost. Then you have situations where upon injecting herself, though this has never happened before, she's accepted and the amount of information that she tries to absorb could overload her and basically send her into a deep sleep recovery mode. If her shell is destroyed while in this recovery mode, then her A.I is locked into the sleep and must be reactivated into something to turn back on.
Personality: This is a very particular "person" for someone of her race and current employer, some might even say it's a wonder how she’s not actually a human. She is one of the nicest beings one could meet, but there is something a bit off about her sometimes, it's not always apparent and some might even say one wouldn't notice it at all, but there is sometimes a sudden change that she does when things become out of her control, or she herself loses control. it's almost like a 0-60 deal and it's scares a lot of people from how funny and quirky she can be to almost cruel like, one would call her unrecognizable when she is like this. That being said she is able to hold in that part of her mind and personality in check...most of the time...and keeps it from becoming who she is outside of small outburst or when she is alone. She can also sport a sprouting of good spirit when the moment arrives and can be almost like that of a normal human being, a way for her to help those around her, yeah she could be the typical android but she's found that people responses to her being that way, prove incredibly positive for her. V.O.I.C.E has a very calming personality much of the time, like that of a mother or a grandmother, because of the experiences that she was preset with from her creators. She built to fix and edit problems in society that would otherwise be impossible to overcome. Maybe this is why in private her true personality is that of someone with a God Complex, which when she is statistically better then most things, hard to say otherwise.
