Jasmine Lockwood and Rajah

“Ex..ceeds?” Tilting her head, Jasmine pondered briefly what this cat-like creature had to do with excelling, surpassing or a greater number than expected. Strange indeed. But the creature was absolutely adorable! If it didn’t seem so hostile, Jasmine wanted to give it a hug.
But with Penny seeming to be in mood for taking smack from the Exceed, the blonde glanced from from the older girl to the cat back to the older girl. She hoped they wouldn’t fight….

“H-how disrespectful human! Your master- no, the master of all creation- demanded you get on your knees so you better fucking do it!” Now Rajah was mad. This red head seemed to think that she was above her! She would show this upstart the status quo, but first…
“There’s only one job you need to, and that’s shower me in tributes and worship. Everything else is just a waste of your time. I am all your pointless lives need!” With a laugh and look so smug it beggared belief Rajah pointed directly at Penny and Jasmine. Though she was momentarily distracted by Iggy’s arrival, he was just in time!

“Ah perfect timing Sir Ignatius! I was just about to smite this girl, but I shall allow you to do so in my place instead. That should give the girl a chance, how merciful am I? Bwahahahaha!” Somehow, her laugh got even more smug and uppity. How it was possible, no one could ever work out given a thousand years.

Jasmine wasn’t even scared anymore at this point, just...confused. Really, really confused. What was this ‘Rajah’s problem with them? They were here to help the poor townsfolk after all!
“Oh-oh really, if you’re so ‘all-powerful’ then w-why didn’t you stop the fish from terrorising the town?!” Jasmine’s words did the trick, in making Rajah shut up that is. The Exceed’s laught stopping abruptly. Even if Rajah was as she claimed, Jasmine would worship this adorably vile creature. Even if she was ‘smited’ for it.

Even though she wasn’t sure if she could control her magic or not yet, seeing as she had yet to test it since the guild hall incident, she stepped out in front of Penny and prepared to encase the two flying cats in water.
“I-I-I won’t let you hurt Penny! Please calm down!” Jasmine didn’t want to fight, nor did she know if she could control her magic so hopefully this exceed would listen to reason. If not, then to prevent violence she hoped she could control her Sphere spell.

Rajah was shocked at the fact that the girl who had just been sheltering behind Penny till this point was suddenly telling her, a divine being far beyond their understanding, off! So she dared rebel against her as well! Then so be it.
“Kah, another upstart. Sir Ignatius, deal with this one as well. I know it isn’t fair, two verus one, but we need to give them at least some slim hope of beating my champion.” Where she had this supreme confidence in her delusions was anyone’s guess.
Seems interesting enough to have a crack

Penny? Afraid? What would Penny have had to be been afraid of? At this moment she realised she knew very little about the older girl, despite how much she had been shoving her own problems on her. But deciding now wasn't a good time to pry into personal matters, they could do so on their way home, she simply nodded at Penny's words as she took the older girl's hand. This was fear she could somewhat manage, this was more akin to nerves at the moment than fear per say anyway. She had experienced far, far worse sensations than this. Like back in Crocus, with Mr Ducarthy...

Shuddering at the memory, she did her best to keep stride with the older girl. Luckily they didn't have to go far to see the fish, she wasn't too sure how she would go at long distance travel by foot to be perfectly honest, having spent the at least last couple of years cooped up in a carriage sorta destroyed your stamina.

Jasmine couldn't quite make them out very well from this distance, but the chances of these flying specks being anything other than the fish were slim. I mean what else could they be, a swarm of flying cats? pfft, that was silly. Cats couldn't fly.
"S-sure are a lot of them." Ok, now she was afraid that was for certain. She wasn't sure how many she was expecting, but just from the specks alone, she estimated there must be what...one hundred? Two hundred? More? It was impossible to make out their exact numbers, but what mattered was that there was a lot of them.

"Umm...Penny, what's that?" Noticing something flying straight at them, Jasmine tensed up. Surely they weren't close enough for any of the fish to spot them, no the large flock hadn't changed their distance all that much. Maybe they had caught the attention of some stragglers? Wait, this was too furry and small to be one of the flying fish this was...

"Bah, nothing can eat me unless I decide it. And obviously, that ain't happen anytime soon you fuckwit." Rajah proclaimed with pride and disdain, crossing her arms. How dare he even suggest that she, a supreme being beyond comprehension, would be eaten by such an insignificant creature such as that. It had been chosen as her food, it would've been honoured! Perhaps it felt it wasn't worthy of being eaten by herself and that's why it ran? Yes, that was surely it.

Nodding to herself, she turned back to reality and the foot that Ignatius now presented her. It was a small offering, some bread and fruit, barely even a snack but she decided that it would suffice for now. It also meant she could spare her acolyte for the time being, and seeing as he was the only one she had at the moment that was useful.
"That's more like Sir Ignatius." Snatching the food from his hands without a word of thanks, just a mere nod that somewhat resembled appreciation, she proceeded to gobble the food down in no time at all.

She had finished the food just as Iggy spoke about people approaching, and he was correct that she wouldn't listen to him. But he was too late in going to grab hold of her; she had already taken off towards the poor unsuspecting duo. He was older and faster than him, but a headstart was a headstart and by now they were well and truly spotted by Penny and Jasmine as she came to a stop just above them. Hovering with her arms crossed once more, and an arrogant smirk that was second to none.
"Ah, humans at last! You lowly creatures sure took your time finding your way here. Get down on your knees and beg and I might consider sparing you my wrath for taking so long to find your master!" With a tone that contained more disdain than an ocean water, Rajah now plopped onto a rock near them and gestured down at the ground.
"Now, atone immediately! Get on your fucking knees and plead for your pathetic fucking lives and all will be forgiven! Bwahahaha!"

Now the sight of Rajah wasn't intimidating in the slightest, she was way smaller than even the average Exceed and was basically just an oversized orange, striped fluffball. Even so, Jasmine took no time at all to scurry away behind of Penny. Was this a flying cat?
Oh god, it was a flying cat. And it talked. It was also extremely rude, seriously rude. Just downright disrespectful and ill-mannered. What was this thing's problem?
"What is that thing Penny? Is...is it dangerous?" It sure sounded dangerous to her. It seemed to have supreme confidence anyway, enough to make the timid girl intimidated that was for sure. Not that's fricken hard to accomplish, the girl was probably afraid of her shadow

The blonde sighed visibly, out of sheer relief. It may just be a naive dream to think they could end this without fighting, but she didn't want to think that justified killing or fighting these creatures. Nothing really could to be perfectly honest. Smiling back at Penny, she began to fidget awkwardly. It would seem the matter of finding the fish was difficult, even to Penny. Considering they had very little information on the creatures, to begin with, it wasn't surprising. Really, all they knew was that they were flying fish with sharp teeth which attacked everything on sight. They barely even knew what they looked like, though imagination gave them a rough idea.

At Penny's words, she gave the older girl a confused look. What did she mean-

To say she was caught off-guard by Penny's sudden take-off was an understatement, letting out an over the top squeal as she felt the air brush past her. She had closed her eyes instinctively, and upon opening them she found Penny gone. It didn't take much to work out where she had gone, nor if one thought hard enough about it why she was gone. But thinking wasn't something Jasmine was capable of in her current state. She had frozen on the spot, not even breathing, from the fear that gripped her. She was alone. Various thoughts began swimming around in her mind, from minor things like strangers coming to talk to her to extremes like Penny having abandoned her, all sorts of ideas came and went.

But, almost as if like a switch, she seemed to snap right back to reality and shook her head. No, she wasn't alone. She never was. Ryujin was here with her, even if she didn't quite understand or remember how to talk to him just yet...he had mentioned something about her pendant. But she didn't quite understand what he had meant by that. How could she contact him through this small piece of jewelry? Gah, it hurt her head thinking about it so luckily Penny came back down so she didn't have to dwell on it for long.

"So you...found them then?" Though it was obvious, the younger girl couldn't help but ask the question. She could feel the butterfly's in her stomach, doing all sorts of party tricks and flips right about now. But there was no backing down now she supposed, and so she followed after the redhead.

"Oi! Sir Ignatius, what do you think you're doing?! Get your own food you curr!" Not realizing the irony in her words, she tried to hold the fish away so that Iggy couldn't take it from her. She caught this fish fair and square, she wasn't going to let him stop her from partaking in its flesh. She had half a mind to smite him here and now!

"Noooo! Come back here and be eaten!" During the struggle, the fish managed to squirm free of her grip and took off like a bat out of hell. After giving a brief chase, Rajah dropped to her knees when it was out of sight and went dead silent.
"...Sir Ignatius, you have exactly three seconds to bring me something of substance worthy of a divine being such as myself or I'll fucking tear you apart and eat your guts for breakfast as punishment for letting that fucking fish get away."

@MarshiestMallow

Giving Jasmine a choice in anything was, in general, a terrible idea. As Penny might now learn as the girl seemed torn between the two options. On one hand, she wanted to help the townsfolk. She wanted to ease their pain and nerves, even if just a little. They seemed so on edge, that even a small spark could set them off and who knew what these wounded, paranoid people could do or become. The potential of such an outcome frightened the girl, but then again what didn't?

Yet on the other, Jasmine wasn't entirely confident of not freaking out without Penny being here. The smell of blood was so strong, it was overpowering her nostrils. Like if someone had just shoved a stinky gym sock that had been left in a bag for several months in her nose. Her enhanced senses were going to take a while to get used to again, especially seeing as the more time that passed, and the more her body became readjusted to magic, the stronger her senses seemed to get. And then the fact that she was surrounded by extremely volatile people also put her on edge, and if she, a person meant to be helping them, freaked out then the entire town could erupt in chaos which Jasmine was certain she wouldn't be able to handle.

No. Staying behind without Penny would be a worse scenario. Jasmine couldn't guarantee she could control her magic at the moment anyway. Best to stay with the older girl, that way if her magic gets out of hand Penny can do something about it. Especially with her mind still a bit all over the shop.

"I'll go with you. If we can find the fish, then no one else will have to get hurt! Maybe we can even find a way to end this without bringing harm to the fish! Best to solve this peacefully than to have any unnecessary fights, right?" The blonde seemed quite eager as she spoke, nodding a couple of times to reinforce it to herself if nothing else. She might be naive in her thinking but without the full story or details, she didn't want to jump to the conclusion that they had to hurt the fish in any way. They might only be attacking because they were driven out of their home, because of a lack of food, etc.

That and in a fight there was a chance of both parties getting hurt. She certainly didn't want to get hurt, nor see Penny get hurt. She was certain the fish didn't want to get hurt either, so a peaceful option suited all parties involved! So until all options had been looked at, she didn't want to fight them in any capacity. She figured from what the vet had said, she doubted they would receive the same mercy from them if they came across them and in which case she figured she might have no choice but to fight. But until then, she would prefer peace over violence.

Though a question now burned strongly in her mind, and the more she thought about it the more maybe checking out the doctor seemed like a good idea. "But where do we even begin to look? They could be anywhere..." The vet hadn't given them much information, and he didn't seem to be in the mental state to be of much use. But then again, even if they healed the doctor there was no guarantee she would be in any state to talk to them anywhere. Even with healing magic, if you're recovering from wounds as severe as the man said then she would need rest.

"Cease and desist your useless, pitiful struggles and be eaten you damned heretics! I demand it!" As Ignatius turned to look towards his companion, he would see the young exceed chasing a handful of the poor creatures around. Even they wanted nothing to do with the devil incarnate. The little demon lunged forward and grabbed one by the tail, yelling truimpantly as she saved it about like a limp noodle.

"Hahaha! I have bested you, vermin! Now get in my belly!" Opening her tiny mouth wide, she now proceeded to try and eat the thing whole. Much to her companions horror no doubt, especially as it now seemed to be trying to eat her at the same time in a frantic last grasp attempt to escape.
Anemone

Anemone's swing hit nothing but air as Raz quickly retreated through the doorway, that is until her weapon got stuck in the wall and preventing her from following up and cutting him down as he ran.
"Get back here you coward." With some effort, she eventually tugged it free but not before the doorway seemed to explode, showering her with splinters and knocking her back. Though it wasn't an explosion, just something large charging it's way through. And by something, it was a whole lotta of that something. That something being orcs.

Oh dear, and there seemed to be more than just a whole lot of them. There were craploads, much more than their small group could handle especially with all the other pirates still on-

....
....
What had happened to the enemy pirates?

One moment the boarding crew had been severely outnumbered, but now there seemed to be only a few of them. Well not including the orcs of course. But the human pirate numbers had dwindled severely, almost as if a small ball of death had made mincemeat of them in the few moments that Anemone had looked away for. But that was a crazy thought, so she put it down to the former captain making some serious headway into their numbers.

She seemed to be in two minds, retreat and regroup back on the ship or stand her ground and fight. They didn't have long to make up their minds, and each plan had its downsides and upsides. She quickly returned to reality as she noticed one charging towards Chirina, who seemed to be covered....in blood? That was a strange sight to see, but Anemone was sure that was nothing for concern. The orc charging her, however? Probably needed to be dealt with.

"Bertol, get out of here. Now." Without any actual authority, she ordered the idiot to retreat. With these many orcs aboard, it was going to be hard for someone as weak and squishy as him to cast his magic. At least aboard the Great Aquarius, he would have some distance between him and the orcs. She would just need to carve him a path.

Making a beeline towards the orc charging at Chiri, Anemone bent down slightly to pick something up as she ran. Clasping it tightly in her hand, she brought her arm back and hurled her pitchfork once more at the orc. As the weapon became embedded in its back, she jumped and kicked into the weapon to drive it even further through its body. And to top it off, she grabbed onto its shoulders and pushed all her weight into its back so that it would fall facefirst onto the ground where she would pin it to the ground by stabbing her cutlass through the back of it's head.

"What are you doing over here?! You should be on deck, you're not a member of the boarding crew." Without a moment's hesitation, Anemone quickly removed her weapons from the orc and once again hurled her pitchfork at the nearest one.
"...But since you're over here. Can you zap these guys? I'll buy you some time." Not paying much attention to Chiri as she spoke, she quickly engaged the next orc. Chiri had some lightning magic if memory served, similar to her but her's was very much an individual magic while Chiri's was meant to be actual lightning.

If she needed time, Anemone could buy her some easily. Hopefully. Maybe. Anemone wasn't too confident against going toe to toe with orcs, physical creatures who were basically born to fight. They were stronger than her, but they weren't all too bright nor skilled. And most importantly of all, they presented a challenge she couldn't resist. The pirates had fallen so easily, these orcs however would prove a decent obstacle to overcome.

Especially seeing as they swarmed towards them, meaning Anemone wasn't engaging one orc but more like twenty at this stage. It took all she could do just to parry, dodge and block their maniacal attacks. It was very hard to counter-attack with twenty, seven-foot-tall bundles of muscle and death trying to cleave you in half every half second. Especially with one weapon.

She wanted to curl up into and a ball and die right about now. The only silver lining to this situation was that the vulgar savage hadn't witnessed her little 'trip', otherwise she wouldn't live it down. If not for the taunting, then just for the sheer fact that he had seen. She would've have rathered jumping off the side of the ship then living with that situation. Luckily, it was only Huangdi so while she was embarrassed beyond belief, she could at least live it down.

At his question, she shook her head without moving her hands. Why or how would she know why barbarians would act like barbarians? She didn't think on their same wavelength, and she didn't have telepathy magic so mind reading was out of the question. That and the massive fact that she simply didn't care, couldn't underestimate that. Huangdi proceeded to tell her the reason anyway. Of course, a rhetorical question. Though she wondered briefly what they could've lost, they were barbaric savages what did they have to lose in the first place, especially someone like Huangdi. Like, why was a Prince amongst this lot anyway...

Though the thought was very short lived. She heard the creak of wood underneath his heavy steps and parted her fingers slightly to see what he was doing, visibly flinching as he knelt down beside her. "S-stay away!" Almost immediately after he finished speaking, she kicked the book straight into his face. She didn't even see the book, she just lashed out with her leg. A kick from her frail frame probably wouldn't hurt, but the fact she kicked the book into his sore nose just might. And the follow up of her kick added to the miserly by collecting his nose too, effectively sandwiching the book and kick together. If on purpose, it would've been a marvelous kick.

She tried to scurry further back but instead got tangled up in the rope and glared at him through teary eyes, which just for a moment had a twinge of fear in them. Genuine fear. Though it was gone as soon as Adelyn realised what she had done, her glare intensifying.

"I-I don't need your vile pity or 'sympathy'. Why would I feel the need to talk to you, or anyone else? I don't want or need your help. So go away!" The last part was ironic as she now struggled with the rope she had ended up in, tangling herself even further.

Huh? How had she gotten it knotted around both her legs? Who the hell left this much rope lying around anyway? She must've been better tied than the bloody cannons at this point. She was going to throw them overboard for this, not without giving them a piece of her mind first. "I-I got it, stay back. Or I'll castrate you." Whether or not he made a move to help her, she made the threat, squirming all the while. As the comical event continued to unfold, it eventually reached the point where she could barely move and slumped onto her side. Still squirming to try and get out.

Going silent for a moment, she spoke out with a sigh almost as heavy as she was reluctant. "...Ok maybe I need your help with the rope."

Anemone

Dozens of pirates laid injured, dead or dying on the True Blue deck. Most of which were at the hand of Anemone as she continued her one-woman assault. Even now, she unleashed a devastating suplex on some unsuspecting sap. But her reckless fighting hadn't come without a cost, as the various cuts on her body indicated. She had managed to avoid anything serious, but there was a free-flowing cut on her cheek that worried her a tad. That was a wound from having just narrowly stepping to the side when some fodder tried to cut her head off. Suffice to say, his head was rolling somewhere on board as she taught him how to really cut someone's head off. The Pirates numbers were beginning to finally thin as well now, especially as Izal entered the fray and the rest of the boarding crew was starting to make some headway as well.

"About bloody time." Grumbling under her breath, she looked over to see how Bertol was faring she was pleasantly surprised to see he wasn't dead yet. Good, that means she wouldn't get in trouble with the captain for failing to comply with her orders. However, that dwarf still lived and seemed relatively unharmed as he opened the door to the deck below and yelled something. It was hard to tell from this distance, but it might've been 'Skull Crushers'. Obviously, that didn't sound like good news.

"Bertol, get back." She didn't even so much as spare the younger man a glance as she passed him. She was too focused on whatever was potentially going to come out of that doorway. Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained. Gathering all the remaining charge she had left at her disposal, she formed a small ball of electricity and shot it through the open doorway. If it was anything big like Anemone feared, then it wouldn't have much of an effect but it should stall them long enough for her to drive her sword through this dwarf's skull. She would deal with these 'Skull Crushers' when the time came.

"Oh? I only recently joined a couple months back myself." So that meant that Enma was effectively a 'newbie' like herself. Yet, he was A-Class and she was C-Class. She couldn't help but feel a little annoyed at that fact, I mean it seemed like he too had destroyed the training hall after all! She nodded her head in approval at what he said, quite eagerly actually as a wide grin formed.

"I know, right? The least they could've done is put a sign up for us newer members. Or someone could've warned us. Not just reprimand us for something we knew nothing about!" While it probably should've been common sense not to destroy guild property, it was still pretty annoying to Ash that no one told her that setting it alight was against guild policy or something. Some warning before it would've been very nice.

"I didn't even take an entrance test." The pyromancer admitted sheepishly, shrugging as she did so. "They let me for helping out during that whole undead city saga. Some chick called Riona and myself just wanted to go at it ya know? Settle a score, since she was meant to be my entrance test opponent. I mean, she damaged the place too...but I uh...well..." She didn't seem all too keen on finishing the explanation. The pyromancer scratched the back of her head and looked away, a sheepish grin beginning to form.

"Anyway. I hope she's ok ya know? She played with fire, and well kinda got burned for it. Badly. I actually haven't since her since.....eh I'm sure she's fine. Seems like the tougher breed to me." Waving off the somewhat serious matter of badly beating and burning a fellow guildmate aside, she quickly turned back to Enma. "But yeah, they should make a newbie's manual or something. Maybe a pamphlet, Indigo is pretty keen on her paperwork isn't she? Just something with a quick rundown of important rules ya know, make sure people don't go breaking them without prior knowledge."
