@Kurai Assassin - Modern game... I'm pretty sure I mentioned that (not being rude). Theme and setting... small isolated town in the mountains? I guess I should add that, huh? =D The plot... well... I could ruin it all, I guess, but I'm not sure why you need to know that exactly. When you enter a RP, you don't need to know the plot all the time, right? Does it help to say that... basically the town gets attacked by monsters?

I'm not trying to be rude either and I'm sorry if I come off that way, just in case... just looking for feedback so I can change my OP to answer the questions I need to answer! ^.^

Wanted: Character Sheets!

So here's the scoop, fellow role-players! I am making a [probably] free game with RPG Maker... and no, it shouldn't be absolutely horrible. At least with your guy's help, that is!! I have a basic plot summary of what I want to happen, but the next step was to create characters for the journey and I'll right out admit it's my weakness - I create too many characters that are similar to me. So I am reaching out to different people with different experiences than my own!

So here's what I'm asking - for people to create various characters for my game. You don't need to know much outside of knowing that the game is based on modern day. I'm going to post an example of who the main character will be (not exactly, but definitely close) and offer a loose CS for you to follow. I want characters that could possibly get along with her in the end. Hopefully I'll get way too many characters and I'll have a hard time choosing from them all. Of course, credit will be given to you in the game.

In Depth Appearance: Melrose is not what you'd call thin, but definitely within a healthy range for her height (5'5"). Besides this, it's apparent she doesn't work out and she doesn't do hard labor by the softness and smoothness of her skin. She does have a very faint scar on her right hip, but otherwise seems to have very healthy skin. Her natural hair color is blonde, but more than often dyes it pink. Otherwise she wears a more femme style of clothing, often seen in short to long skirts with t-shirts. She also wears a pink heart shaped necklace, though mostly only when going out of the apartment. Of course around the house, it's easy to catch her in a pair of pink pajamas and bare feet.

Melrose is certainly unique. She is without a doubt an introvert, giving off feelings of being meek and shy around others, and while this is more out of fear of being rejected - once you start to talk to her, she has no problems actually holding a conversation with a complete stranger. Still it takes some time to get her to truly open up and will, with romance especially, have depressive episodes about having been rejected most of her life.

Besides this, her more redeeming qualities are that she is a true sweetheart. Against all odds of being abandoned her whole life, she has come through with a belief and attitude of wanting to help others, even though she can hold them to higher standards compared to society. Melrose also happens to see the world in numbers, giving her a unique perspective on life and it's complexities. Without a doubt the most defining qualities though is her emotional & romantic nature - she is an empath and often responds to negative environments negatively and also tends to daydream about finding someone to love her, finally.

D E F I N I N G M Y P A S T

History:
Melrose grew up in Colorado, but her childhood was far from what you might call healthy. Her father passed away in an accident when she was only four and ever since her mother has been less than enthused about raising a child on her own. The times when her mother was at home, which was rare, they shared a very strained relationship. At an early age, Melrose found a passion for gaming, but her mother would often wave her off as if nothing the little girl did was important.

This lead to, in her teenage years, to feeling skittish around her peers and making friends (since she had none until this point). Still, she tried her best to be outgoing and friendly, but it didn't seem that effective. To this day, she isn't sure why, but she can only guess it was because she thought a bit differently - and well, flirting with other girls in a small town was a bit frowned upon. She had just known she was a lesbian without so much as a thought, but it only served to push her peers and even her mother away even more.

Finally, entering college to learn accounting, having learned how she thought - she finally made some friends and even had a few girlfriends. However the breakups from the girlfriends ended sharply and painfully, often telling Melrose that she was too clingy, and her friends slowly pushing her away. After college, she had started to slowly withdraw and just keep to her work and escape reality in the form of video games - a world that had never rejected her. However an online 'friend' of hers has recently encouraged her to try again, so she's deliberately moved from a large apartment of her own.

"Hm?" Gloria paused, staring into Ana's eye for a moment before biting her lip softly. She really should've expected that question. "Oh, uh.. her name is Cassandra.. she's one of the teens that went to the camp.." Gloria bit into her hamburger thoughtfully, chewing as she looked out the window for a bit, debating with herself. Finally as she swallowed and took a drink from her soda. "I guess it's as good a time as any to let you know.. that I'm polyamorous.. so, um.. y'know.. obviously I thought the girl was cute.." She gave a small smile, though she couldn't help but notice the way the other woman was looking at her.

"I hope that's okay?" she offered before adding more. "No plans, really - I mean, I planned on... texting you.. and having this date.. but that's about it." She ended in a shy tone before biting into her burger again, trying to hide her blush behind the idea of her nomming on food. Though she quietly wondered how this would play out - she really did find them both interesting in their own ways and it was a bit surprising honestly. She found herself thinking about them both only after having met them once. Was that strange?

Gloria smiled shyly, biting her lips, mostly listening until Ana had finally ordered her food as well. She felt a bit too bashful to be talking on a more private level while the waitress was around. A soft blush crossed her cheeks at the wink, causing her to give the woman a pouty face and finally letting out a light sigh. "Um.. I mean.. if you want.." she replied in a cute, meek tone, looking down as she kicked her feet a little. "But yeah, I'm glad we could keep each other company..." She paused for a moment and looked back up to Ana with a thoughtful expression. "There was one of the girls though - I didn't see her up there however. It's kind of a shame... we met at the bread and breakfast once.." Gloria bit her lip again, giving a quick thought to the teenager before clearing her throat for a moment, unsure if she should tell Ana about her lifestyle just yet.

"Either way, I'm off work for a bit," she explained with a cheerful tone. "I'm a personal accountant - remember the town I came from? Yeah, I still work for some of the clients. Just normal rich ones," she smirked amusingly. "I end up working like a mad dog for like two weeks every three months and then pretty much have the rest off. It can be a little tough, but I enjoy it... and I don't know why I'm rambling." She blushed softly again and gave Ana a bashful smile. However, she suddenly got this strange, vague feeling as she looked at the desk in front of them, almost looking nervous. For some reason, her thoughts went back to the camp site and quietly wondered if Cassandra was okay.

@Mr Allen J - Just poking my head in, though I has feeling I might not fit the role-play too much... however I do love superheroes. The reason why I don't seem confident is because I normally play lesbians... and obviously that's not an issue in of itself, who cares, right? The issue is usually when I'm looking for some kind of romance option for my characters. It's pretty rare to find them when you don't play bisexual/hetrosexual women, from my experience - in group role-plays anyways. Also, even though it says slice of life, it doesn't mean it's very focused on romance... anyways, let me know how right or wrong I am. =3

As Gloria shut the notebook slowly, she felt her pocket vibrating, causing her to jump slightly in surprise. Furrowing her brow just a little, she looked at the screen of her smart phone and smiled slightly, seeing it was Ana. She could feel the softest of blushes cross her cheeks as she opened the text up properly.

"Hey did you want to come back into town for some dinner?"

Biting her lower lip, she replied in kind.

"Yeah!~ I mean, unpacking can wait and there's just a ton of teenagers ignoring me here anyways. =P See you soon!

She slipped her phone back into her pocket and tucked her small notebook under her arm and glanced over the lake. She hated feeling alone in public like this, it just reminded her of her past too much, but she knew what everyone would think if they knew - they'd blame her for not being more outgoing. Well, at least that's usually what happened and it irritated her every time. Shaking her head of the thought, she got up, dusted herself off, and within moments was slipping into the driver's seat of her car. Before long, she was back in town and pulling up to the only place to eat in town - the Cafe.

Gloria sat in the car for just a couple seconds, spotting Ana and smiling softly as their eyes met. Turning the keys and grabbing her shoulder purse this time, she locked the door and started to head inside. She still felt a tiny bit nervous, hoping she wouldn't scare the woman away by being too clingy or something, like she had in the past. The little bell rang as she entered and didn't bother waiting for the waitress, just walking over to Ana shyly. She hesitatingly slipped into booth across from Ana before glancing back, catching sight of the guy seemingly staring her date down for no reason. However her attention quickly went back to Ana, smiling gently. "I'm glad you texted me... I was actually getting rather lonely out there!" Offering a bashful smirk, she looked up to one of the girls she had never seen before and gave a friendly smile, order a bacon cheeseburger and fries, with a Dr. Pepper. After thanking the waitress, she let out a sigh and looked across the table, biting her lip for a moment. "So... already all unpacked?"
