These two mythical societies exist ever since the dawn of time, composing the balance that maintains the world. Humans have many times worshipped either one side or the other, wishing for their blessings in order to live their desired life. Thus, this fact gave birth to the eternal nemesis relationship between them. Gods wanted to judge demons and vice versa. Blessings should be superior to curses and so does the contrary. Humankind's belief must only be for one side and not the other. The conflict between two sides seemed eternal.

However, things have changed over the years.

Science was created. Everything that has been explained as an act of a god or of a demon became explainable through theories and fundaments of scientific logic. Humans no longer needed the benevolence of the gods or the malevolence of the demons, they can now live on ther own without those mythological creatures. The faith in godhood and demonhood dwindled at a fast rate and both sides have been forgotten.

This was not acceptable.

Not only did it bore them, the ungrateful spirit of humans have led them to be angered. Punishment was in due need. Now, to bring back the flames of their dispute, a game was made. Gods and demons have started a new machination to lead humans back to ancient states.

Let the game begin!

The Plot

The plot plays in the city of Sereine and the year is 20XX. At the beginning, all players are a normal human being who has a particular vision of the world in general. They study, work, play and have a pretty normal halfstyle. That being said, the game created by the gods and demons have already begun. The game is that both sides will bestow powers to some humans and recruit them to their side. They will pit those human beings against each other to see whose side wins at the end. It is a pretty simple game where the only task applied is to survive.

However, this game divides a day into two periods:
Lively Day: In the first period, the recruited are supposed to live like normal humans and do their old lifestyles. Battles are prohibited during this time because of the possibility that Normals will see the battle and immediately create an undesirable chaos for both sides.
Deadly Night: In the second period, the recruited battle willingly against each other in order to defeat the other side. All Normals will "vanish" at night, leaving the city as an open field for it. All damage caused in properties will return to zero state at day, but the damages an Abnormal take are passed over to the next day.

The truth is, this game is nothing more than a punishment they have prepared for humanity and decided to test out on a specific population before expanding it to the rest of the world. The time limit of the game is one month that will loop eternally until something out of scenario happens. This means that everyone who died in the first loop will return to the second loop.

The Classes

Abnormal: These are humans recruited into the game. They have powers bestown by gods or demons and are destined to battle.
Normal: These are simple human beings. There's nothing more to them.

The Factions

Illuminado: this is the faction led by the gods. Their goal is to fulfill the world with blessings and get rid of the power coming from the demons.
Chaotico: this is the faction led by the demons. Their goal is to fulfill the world with curses and get rid of the power coming from the gods.
Heretics: this is mainly composed by Abnormals who doesn't wish to fight for any sides and just want to survive this game.

Rules

• The word coming from me (GM) and from the Co-GMs is a rule and can't be broken.
• No overpowered characters. If it's too overpowered, it won't be accepted.
• No drama on the IC or OOC. Fix it by talking with me, the Co-GMs or with the determined user via PM.
• Don't take control of another character without the owner's permission.

I don't want to sound like an idiot, but I have a question. From what I could understand from the story, we're following steps of the first arc from the main story. That means we're still going to fight Maxwell​ (in case I'm not being an idiot) in Mistral. Is this similar to the first arc or this is totally different?

Personality: Thanks to his work, Ein is rather cold-hearted and rarely shows any human emotion. He prefers to remain quiet and rarely shows any sort of interest in harboring relationships with others, even if they are friendly. He thinks of others mainly as considerable targets or even foes. In the few moments he speak, he tends to discuss about strategy and methods to efficiently defeat (or kill) enemies without too much effort.

In-battle, Ein is quick to capture an enemy's pattern and has fast reaction to attacks. He oftenly fights alone and prefers to work by himself, but has knowledge that sometimes he'll need someone and doesn't refuse any sort of aid.

Biography: He comes from a family of assassins which has secretly served the Bariura Empire for generations. However, Ein never grew near the family's business, as his mother never wished him to follow his or his father's footsteps. Their original goal was to make of their son a genuine scholar and student of the magic arts. He began as a student of magic and grew curious about the dark arts, specially on the spells that would easily conceal movements. His own power began to transmit quickly and he easily learned even some offensive spells.

However, his life turned upside down. In a certain night, his house was attacked by an assassin guild and his parents brutally killed while he was studying in the magic academy. When he returned to his house, the attackers have told him that members of the fallen empire had attacked his house and killed them. As his vengeful feeling rose, he decided to join them in order to look for the ones responsible. The guild trained him hardly into the arts of assassination and he grew to be one of the best among them. One day, however, Ein heard from members about the killing in his house and eventually learned the truth. By combining the power of his magic and the weapon he carried, he carried on a mass death spree, killing all the members of the assassin guild.

After he executed his whole plan, Ein began to wander in the lone remains of Bariura. That is, until Lucius decided to call him.

Evolution: In his first evolution, he changes to Blackened Tracer Ein, where his personality starts to grow a little and he starts to see others as mere allies, but still refuses the meaning of camaderie. He also starts to gain more weapons and tools to help in his assassination skills, such as a special set of steel knives and a chain to use as a sort of whip or rope. His guns doesn't suffer any sort of changes.

His second evolution, where he changes to Hollow Killer Ein, gives a little drastic change. Ein begins to realize that the people around him are trying to help him and he begins to understand the usage of the term "comrades". He starts to open up, but leaves many things about his past or himself hidden. His guns also change, as they gain a blade at their tips so that he can defend himself in the front lines. He also gains another chain and his set of knives changes from steel to black metal, which is more durable than most of the other materials in Grand Gaia.

Vain Pursuer
Ein's senses are slightly superior to normal human senses thanks to his training and to his own mana. He can use both his dual guns and his magic to attack. If close combat, he mainly uses kicks as an attack. His tendency is to infuse bullets with dark magic or use quick supportive magic to evade attacks in some situations (Stealth). However, because he abandoned the complete practice, his magic usage is really limited to enchanting and quick Stealth, so he can't abuse of those skills.

Obscure Delta (Brave Burst): creates a magic circle in front of him and shoots three bullets. They gain dark energy and become purple projectiles. Rebounds through walls, roof and objects and hits enemies in a determined area.

Blackened Tracer
His evolution has given him new weapons: the chain and a set of knives. Ein uses the chain as an whip to attack enemies and as a support tool, like a rope. His senses, especially his sight, are far more improved than before and his own speed slightly increases. His magic use is still very limited, so he can't make too much use of it.
Obscure Square (Brave Burst): evolution of Obscure Delta. Number of projectiles raise to four and the area of effect slightly grows.

Descending Relinquisher (Super Brave Burst): lashes chain on a single enemy as a whip, constricts it with the chain and shoots five knives at it.

Hollow Killer
The last evolution marks more a change on the magic usage coming from him. He now gained access to illusion creating, which allows to create an image of himself to trick enemies. Despite that, he can only make one illusion and said fake cannot deal damage to any enemy, being more useful as bait or escape trick. His dual guns can now be used as melee weapons thanks to the new blades attached to them and he can now use two chains. The knives can now return to him without the need for Ein to go after them.
Obscure Pentagram (Brave Burst): evolution of Obscure Square. Number of projectiles raise to five, the area of effect grows considerably and the bullets gain a defense ignoring effect, with a 35% decrease in strength.

Decadent Sentence (Super Brave Burst): evolution of Descending Relinquisher. Now attacks with both chains, being able to constrict up to three enemies and the number of knives raise to nine.

Blitzkrieg Drive (Ultimate Brave Burst): once unleashing his Overdrive, Ein locks enemies inside a magical circle. He shoots a single bullet to the sky and vanishes. After a while, the sky opens revealing a giant magic circle on it and a rain of magic-infused bullets fall on enemies.

Azure's glow grew even bigger and faster until it totally enveloped her whole.


Kokoro: W-What is going on?!

Magio: I don't know!

Jin: Ugh... too blinding... my eyes...!!

The light of Azure's glow grew bright at the point of making Jin release her. But before she could fall into the ground, the glow broke and revealed her new form. Once it passed, Azure opened her eyes.

BGM: Zelda's Lullaby (Ocarina of Time)


Azure: ... Oh, I'm awake...

She floated a little, back into position. Azure looked at herself and her new form.


Magio: Azure, how are you feeling?

Azure: Better, thank you.

Kokoro: So the healing worked! I was worried it didn't...

Jin: Hey, Lucifer. What she (Iris) said is true? Whenever she's not near Hugh or he isn't maintaining his focus on the Summon, she can't hold herself into the real plame?

Lucifer: Yep. Although we can go out of our rings on our accord, we need our Summoner to maintain the summoning, else we can't truly leave the ring. Have that and the fact that Zatracenie crushed Azure's previous form...

Magio: That's why Azure didn't respond to Celica's healing that fast...

Azure: Did I... worried you all?

Magio: Don't worry. It's natural for us to be worried with our friends.

Magio: But I might admit that you did something bad, Azure. Running off on your own to save us like that...

Lucifer: You ain't one to judge her on that category, Pal.

Magio: Oh, shut up.

Azure looked down, a little sad. Magio's words were the truth. Her rash actions have led to the growth of a simple discussion to a battle.


Azure: Hugh... I might have worried him too much. But all that I wanted to do was to protect him against Zatracenie. I thought that I could do it by myself...

Kokoro: Maybe she wasn't on the best of days, exactly. Though I might admit that she chose the worst way to make things right and with a possibly wrong person to choose...

Azure: I am going back to help Hugh as his Summon Spirit. I know he is strong, but I want to show him that he can depend on me. I...

Azure: I want to make things look like you, Lucifer.

Lucifer: Eh? Like me?

Azure: Yes. You are a good example of Summon Spirit. I want to do everything I can to make Hugh proud of me, just like you do with Mr. Magio.

Lucifer: H-Honestly, I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not even-

Magio: Hehe. Well, I can say that having him around helping me already makes me happy enough. And yeah, I think I'm proud to have Lucifer as my Summon Spirit.

Lucifer: Pal...!!

Jin and Kokoro: ...

Azure gave them a light-hearted giggle. A new form and a new resolution were born into her. She then looked back at the group and waved.


Azure: Alright, off I go. Wish me luck!

*BGM fades*

She waved a goodbye and left back to the back field. The others waved back at her.


Kokoro: Well, everything ended nicely. That's good, right?

Magio: If things were over, I would say the same thing.

Jin: Huh?

Magio: Let's leave Necrox and Hugh to Azure and go to the Track Field. The others might be needing us.

School: Back Gate (Chains of Fate Field)

BGM: Boss Battle still playing

Zatracenie defended the Aurora Pressure, but still took some damage of it.


Zatracenie: (Ugh, he's good...!!)

Necrox: I'll kill you!!

Enraged, Necrox dashed directly to her. His rage made his darkness even more powerful, to the point where the ressonant waves between both's dark powers grew more identifiable.


Zatracenie: (That's it! Now I can finally...)
Necrox: DIE!!!

Necrox tried to pierce her with Gae Bolg, but Zatracenie went with an upward slash. THe weapons entered into conflict.


Zatracenie: ... Heh. Caught you, hook, line and sinker.

Necrox: Eh?!

Zatracenie: Activating Ressonance!!

Now, hers and Necrox's darkness finally entered into the ritual. When he noticed what she tried to do, he snapped out of his rage.


Necrox: ... Tch, so you tricked me.

Zatracenie: And you fell right into it. Just taint the vampire's honor and he'll immediately head to your neck.

Necrox: ...

Zatracenie: ... I might regret this someday, but right now, it's the only choice I have to keep an eye on Azure. And I'm taking it full, including th pain it'll be to actually have you as my Summoner.

Necrox: Heh... take this as your punishment for mocking me.

He felt a burn in his finger. When he looked, a ring with a purple colored jewel appeared. Zatracenie disappeared directly into it, completing the Ressonance.

Yato: Fourth Sword "Extend Calibur"!!

Lasers were directly on Agni, hitting him straight and damaging the Warp Star. Before he could hit the ground, Magnum caught him.


Magnum: Everything OK?

Agni: Y-Yeah, but who the heck attacked me?!

Mokou: Yamata no Yato!

The vile snake youkai descended and looked at the rest. However, her attention went directly to Mokou.


Yato: Ey, if it ain't the Hourai Phoenix herself! Up for some battles now, aint'cha?

Mokou: You step into my ground like if nothing's happening? You really like pain, don't you?

Yato: I just came here to rescue our baddie. Ganging up on people ain't heroic, you dastardly villains.

Agni: So you're on Princess Peach side...! Know this, we'll take you down for good!!
Yato: Heh, act all high and mighty as you want. You kids are so annoying that I'm honestly-

Eifer: Yamata no Yato.

Yato: What's up now, Eifer? Don't interrupt me when I'm talking!
Eifer: I'll leave this to you. Stop talking and fight.

Eifer vanished, leaving Yato behind with them. They all prepared their weapons and were ready to attack her.


Yato: Kyeeeehahaha!! Now we're talking about a heated battle! I'm gonna screw you all up for good!

Mokou: With only one head? Please, you can't be serious.

Yato: Brats like you don't need to see my eight heads back! One's more than enough to deal with you!

Still holding her Fourth Sword, she shot more lasers at them, with Mokou taking them all and dying. Or at least, that's how it looked. It didn't took five seconds and she was already back to life.


Mokou: Annoying Yamata no Orochi, I'll burn you until I'm finally delighted!

Mokou was the first to charge into Yato, evading the Extend Calibur barrages she kept shooting. She countered the danmaku with amulets and phoenixes.


Magnum: Some of Miss Mokou's phrases are scary...

Agni: Now's not the time for something like that! Dive right in the bullets, leave the air for who dominates it and let's get her from the ground!

Magnum: Right!

Spring Zone: Hakurei Shrine

Azrel: You're still here.

Azrel, who supposedly left, came back and saw Ralf alone. He went with a friendly atmosphere, differently from the cold one he had before.


Azrel: You're one of Magio's friends, right?

Azrel: Let me introduce myself fully. Azrel Ametrine, Anna's twin brother and bounty hunter.

Of course this wasn't an easy task. Whoever Charmeine was against had her own set of warriors. Juno-Seto couldn't hide her worriness for the worlds they would have to go. Each second that passed seemed agonizing for her. "I am sorry if I am being disrespectful, Lady Charmeine, but we must depart to these worlds those warriors had gone. If your enemy has already the advantage, we have to follow them and break their choices of winning." She said.

She looked at the options and was unable to fully decide what she wanted. Both worlds were awaiting for chaos and destruction. If she got the hands in the world's core for Zuriel, it was a step forward for the creation of her magnum opus. Seeing how the Anguished One had left, she heard Gilgamesh, but decided to ignore him. "The word has given me some interest. It seems the world of hitmans is the most adept to a cycle of death. It is for that world that I depart. Zuriel, once all the cores are collected, I want my part of the deal." she said, leaving to the world she wanted to go.
