Sleep was invented by the communists to reduce the time we spend active.

That awkward moment when you glimpse a dog stylist advertisement and before you realize what it is, you assume it's an ad to raise awareness about animal cruelty.

A friend introduced me to a site called nanowrimo.org Technically a novel-writing site but they seem to have useful stuff for writing in general in the forums.

HEEEERE'S MARDY!
@Wernher
How about Eliz fights the Nightfell while Ardghal fights the Greenfeather?

@Mardox I'm all for it, good sir. If you want, after Maire and Serhiem talk, you can send Ardghal to Maire to propose some sort of alliance. Who knows? She might even accept =P

Excellent! Let's do that after we fight off the raid.
@Shorticus WAIT!!! I have a super important question...actually, it's not that important. Out of curiosity, is it possible, over the course of this RP, for Clan Aonghus to return to Urland and kick the high king's bony arse? I was just curious. I mean, I figure, like the game this RP is based on, we'd need to either unite or dominate the Hidden Valley first. But is this part of your overall plan for the story? To have our characters return as vengeful conquerors bent on avenging themselves on the high king? I'm just wondering if Maire's personal goal, to return home, might actually be doable.

Further reason for an alliance between Maire and Ardghal. Maire wants to go home, Ardghal wants to mount the High King's taxidermied head on his wall.
I think it mainly depends on the rules of the duel. Any one asks to meet her face to face with swords will win. She's ranged.

Melee is Ardghal's thing.
@Mardox I figured =)

@Shorticus Again, as long as Eliz keeps her attacks purely verbal and whatnot, there's no chance of that happening. Besides, Maire isn't exactly a skilled fighter herself. She'd have to go to someone like Ardghal or Tristan Jory to fight on her behalf.

Though that doesn't mean she might not do something nasty to Eliz. She IS an alchemist, after all.

If it does come to a fight we're in a bit of trouble. Not only is it bad for the clan but I'm pretty sure that OOC Eliz has more combat traits and is focused on being a pure warrior, Ardghal is more of a leader and I didn't have as many points to spend. IC, Eliz is the more skilled warrior whereas Ardghal use magic, bloodlust and fear along with some skill. Eliz has her own magic, has bloodlust of her own (though who has more is debatable), doesn't scare and has skill.
@Mardox Maire only really sees Ardghal as a threat when he's supporting Eliz. Not all the time. Two somewhat bloodthirsty warriors voting together on major decisions is a recipe for...TADIGAM! Erhem, I mean, disaster.

A recipe for Tadigam. Beautiful.

BTW, if it comes to fight with Eliz, I wouldn't advise it. That said, Ardghal would be the closest in combat ability.
@Lexicon
Why does Maire see Ardghal as a threat? Look at my new post and you'll see he has adopted a strongly anti-Eliz stance.
Ardghal sighed inside as he worked at the forge yet again. The memories haunted him without mercy and here he was having to do something that would only make them stronger. And of course, it was due to the stupidity and incompetence of another. Camvor take Eliz! Camvor take her and her lack of diplomacy! Now the village was flooding and he had to turn the precious dragon bone into a gift for Stormcaller. Such a rare find mostly gone because someone couldn't avoid offending their friends. He snarled his frustration as he did his best to turn the gift from the gods into a peace offering to smooth over the mistakes of another.

He had high hopes for this dragon bone though. It would make a fine suit of armor and there should be enough left for a sword. Father and mother would be proud... They were in Camvor's noble grasp now but he would never let them down. Maybe Titania would let him keep the sword. Even if it were unlikely to be reality, Ardghal couldn't help but breathe in a sigh of contentment as he imagined thrusting a sword of dragon bone through the heart of the High King. Ah, Camvor had been kind to give him (and Titania) enough dragon bone to not only patch over the folly of one who shouldn't have been put on the Council in the first place but also to forge a blade worthy of carrying out the holiest justice and retribution.

Wait. Eliz shouldn't have been let onto the Council. It was too late to change the past but damage control could still be done. He knew Maire disliked both him and Eliz. Hopefully, that was due to her associating him with the dark child. She would be a good ally in his attempts to protect the clan from further folly. He would approach her once he was done in the forge...
Resident Camvorite reporting for duty!

I will go post something!
Granted. You die a coward, having betrayed everyone.

I wish for Vermin Supreme to become president.
