No, you need something special to learn runes, it's a pointless thing to worry about right now anyways.

Talismans allow the wielder to lead a group in prayer. Working towards getting multiple talismans would be pointless unless you wanted to pray for different things at once, which would be less efficient than just praying for them one at a time and completing each faster.

To pray with him just go near him and say you're praying with him.

Your gods are two minor gods without too much influence beyond your groups. They are not the only black/white gods, there are other black/white gods with NPC civilizations serving them. Most other info about your gods will depend on how your group chooses to portray them and act on their behalf, so I don't have much info for them now. You all could hold a vote to name your gods whatever you want, just as you could name your team whatever you want.

The only other god you really should worry about right now is the god of night. Its one of the most powerful gods around and has near complete control (Apart for the areas that are lit up or around shrines) of the realm at night time and has a tendency to spawn a load of minions each night attempting to take influence from other gods.

You'll need to know runes to make talismans, so not right now. You find other artifacts for prayer eventually, but right now the best thing to do would be to pray as a group to Derv's talisman, it'll take forever for him to do anything praying alone.

You can pray for anything. Speeding up the egg hatching process will take a good bit of prayer, though.

Building something around the shrine would boost the effectiveness of the shrine, increasing your god's area of influence around the shrine thus allowing y'all to pray with the talisman further way. It would also make the shrine safer, but I'll get into why you should protect the shrine later.

Of course, you could always just pray for the talisman to be more effective, but your talisman right now is good for all basic things you might need. Really you shouldn't need to worry about getting a better talisman for a good while.

Basically, you can pray for anything, but the bigger/rarer/harder-to-do it is the more prayer it will take. Also, your current basic talisman might not be able to support the amount prayer required for epic shit.

Also, for those team white people wanting to kill Nat, in normal circumstances the gods punish harshly for direct, intentional friendly fire, but Nat has already pissed off your god so you won't be punished for killing him.

What kind of buff? Some basic ones I can think of would be movement speed boost (Mid amount 'o prayer), construction speed boost (Little bit 'o prayer), combat effectiveness(A lot 'o prayer), ect. With just a basic talisman, you'd only be able to have 1 buff at a time, so if you pray for another later it will cancel the first out. And as I said before, you can also pray for items (Like wood or tools) or physical miracles (Like one of those trees being struck down or something like that).

DERVISH spawns with a WEAK TALISMAN. A talisman is a minor artifact that allows the wielder to lead small groups in prayer to the gods for boons. Boons could be items, team buffs, physical miracles, and so on; the bigger the boon the more prayer required to receive it. Also, boons can only be received in your god's area of influence, so you cannot get it too far from the shrine.
