Basically that. While the others cover her and, hopefully, Regina. That's the easiest thing that come up on my mind when I typed that post, even if it's a bit dull, it's likely to be efficient.

Simple plans are good plans. Complex plans have so many more things that can go wrong.
Crispin Clean

A small smile that looked uncomfortable on Clean's face could be glimpsed for a moment. He might not like the Princess, but he can at least respect her and the answer Ires gave spurred the feeling in Clean. Nodding Clean accepted their leader and was about to find something to eat when he thought he heard something...

Avian screeches pierced his ears, and the flapping of wings causes a strong breeze to gust past Clean making it quite the shame he lacked a cloak or mantle to flap dramatically behind him. The group scrambled to battle positions whereas Clean was almost obnoxiously casual about the situation. Straightening his clothes, the crimson tie unfurled and took on the sheen of a polished blade, golden basket hilt blooming around his hand with a delicate pattern. Catching the light, Clean could see his reflection stained red in the blade.

"Swords don't really work well on giant monster birds. At least until they get closer." concurring with Gradon on the particular choice of Vessel, Clean angled the blade to see the Roc's approaching and the reflected light glaring into a diving Roc's eyes as he quickly sidestepped and took a passing swipe with his blade at the creature. The complaints against the Princess' plan grated on Clean's ears however, even as he silently admitted the validity of the suggestions.

"Regina. I respect your opinion, but Ires has been elected leader with Gradon as the vice captain. We're mere cadets so all we can do is try our all to make certain that our leader's plan succeeds. Next time we elect someone, I'll vote for you if you wish to lead, but we need to be unified at this moment and make a clean getaway from this mess. I'm of limited use since Farris volunteered to be the bait, admittedly given her agility she's more likely to survive such a role." Moving into the cover of a building, or at least what was one, Clean's lighter blade was raised up alongside his cheek, point aimed at where Leblanc was to be the bait and preparing to dash out at a moments notice. His immediate goal being to shred one of the Roc's wings so that even if it does escape the bindings mentioned in Ires' plan it can't escape. Good plans have back ups. Good soldiers make a leader's plan succeed. Clip its wings. Ground it. Kill it. Maybe have a nice roast Roc for a meal. A stew? That might take longer, but could make less of a mess.

Finally clean. He wasn't sure if it was the holy water or what, but it was at the very least a strong placebo effect. Natus seemed to take issue with Clean's aversion to dirt and mess, the strong words flowing in one ear and out the other with Clean making no effort to retain the noise, the old guy on the other hand seemed to find him funny and that did raise an eyebrow from Clean, the tough old goat seemingly as blasphemous as Clean was. Well, by the general population's interpretation of blasphemy at any rate. The night passed with Clean enjoying the pristine church...

The princess was now the head of a procession. The talk about the princess being a fellow student went some way to explaining the familiarity the Captain had with the nobility. It was still odd that a mere captain, even if the captain was anything but 'mere' and one that trained a princess, was allowed to use their first name as she had the day before.

The casual tone and cadence of the princess' voice did go some way to convincing Clean that this particular noble was different than the rest. It was doubtful that an average noblewoman of any standing could so easily fall into a colloquial manner of speaking. It was something more befitting a king that could rally troops into a loyalty and have them willingly rush into battle with chests swollen on pride. As they broke for lunch this thought churned inside Clean's head, unwilling to be merely forgotten as a passing idea and finally springing to his lips.

"Her Majesty has a powerful way with words. I do wonder which kind of Princess Her Majesty is. The Good Princess that can inspire loyalty and troops that will fight to the death on her behalf? Or the Great Princess that will keep her people alive? I don't care who our leader is in all honestly as long as they're someone who'll strive for greatness over being merely good. A leader shouldn't settle for anything less." There was no spoken candidate in Clean's speech, just his expectations of whoever decided to take the position. After all, if they couldn't handle the pressure of one person's expectations how could they handle the lives of those who follow them?

“Spotlights and you may get along, but a word of warning. The spotlight doesn’t go to anyone but number one and it’s the loneliest number. Can you handle that? Standing above everyone else? I’m going there to see that which no one else can see… if you want to get there, you better just try and drag me down~!” the wicked grin of someone who knew exactly what she was after split her face as the light-hearted words contrasted with the subtle steel in her eyes, daring Lysander to try as she clicked her fingers and made finger guns at him. As the bell rang and the teacher arrived, Toni put her metaphorical game face on, grin widening as Mister Yoshida seemed to have doubts on everyone’s right to be in the hero course. Well, a hero should prove themselves. As the crowd of the class went to put on their jumpsuits, Toni let them go ahead, she put her earbuds in again let herself get lost in the music for a moment before rushing out to get her jumpsuit on.

Lip synching to her song, Toni tossed her bulky clothes into the locker and slipped into the provided jumpsuit. Putting her shades on, Toni put her loose change in her pockets and strode into the training facility. Seeing Training Ground Echo Toni couldn't help but laughing at the sight and beneath her glasses her eyes lit up. A construction sight, heavy machinery, scaffolding, cranes… it was a paradise.

Stick to your strengths? Sir you’d be hard pressed to get me away from my strengths here. Tearing out the earbuds, Toni bundled them up, tucked them into her jumpsuit and walked over to a chatty group.

“So, what do you think? Fighting a villain or performing rescue operations?” not really directing her question, simply making small talk.

Toni's grin caused her eyes to squint as the room simply seemed to fill with chaos. It would be a challenge for a star to shine bright in this eclectic room of noise and presence. Especially the guy who proudly and loudly claimed the "Main Character Seat" as his, he had stage presence. Eyes rolling in her head as this classroom was certainly going to be amusing and it admittedly did cause an idea to spring to mind. Fingers trailing over wood grain of the desks, she reached the center of the front row.

"Front and center. Any other place would simply not befit a star~" looking up a shock of pink hair filled her vision and replied to the wave with one of her own. Spinning the chair around to face the girl, Toni fell into the seat and leaned back.

"Hiya to you as well, love the hair. I'm doing well, thanks. I kinda hope that we get to do an 'obstacle' course like that often, it's a fun warm up, you know?" drumming her hands on the desk she slowly looked around the room and took everyone in. Making a few assumptions about the mutant quirks about the room, the tree person for example. Emitters were always different, it was always smarter to wait and see what they can do. Assuming someone's power in any circumstance is already a risky business, even mutant ones. Shaking her head and throwing her assumptions to the side, Toni arrived back at Mamoru.

"I'm Toni by the way. Terribly rude to not introduce my self, just awful manners on my part. What's you're name?"

8:15am

Tapping of her heel, glancing at her watch. The crowd thronging and even then security was being a roadblock. The clock running in her head as the crowd scattered like roaches when the light turned on, swarming over the school looking for a way in. Putting her earbuds in, music blasted in her ears with the rest of the world only hearing a buzz, and flicking her star-shades down off her head Toni joined the swarm heading to the right laughing all the while.

The brief flash of light shot from the corridor before Toni entered lit up her silhouette to those behind her, as if a rock star about to go on stage. Running through the horror set that made up the corridor, Toni saw the the swivel chair just sitting in the middle of the hall. Suddenly as if being pulled towards the far wall Toni landed on the swivel chair and began riding it, wheels shaking with the speed that far exceeded her running speed from before. The swivel chair living up to its name had Toni spinning like a small tornado, whipping past the nurse with a vague apologetic sound being ripped from her throat left in her wake.

"Sorry! I promise I'll return this if I remember to return it~!" Laughing like a kid on a roller coaster Toni was having a hard time going in a straight line. Finally resting her feet on the swivel chair's legs, Toni stopped spinning and faced the wall, the flight path of the chair straightening as well, even picking up speed. As Toni looked as if she was going to slam into the wall, the swivel chair turned the corner seemingly of its own volition.

"Whooo~!" nearing the bottom of the stairs, Toni leaped out of the chair and up the stairs as it crashes into the base. Legs a little shaky from the spin cycle she put herself through Toni's 'leap' turned into a 'stagger'. Looking kinda woozy when she reached the top of the stairs. Taking a moment to let the world settle down around her, Toni all but strutted to the classroom and when she she saw a few classmates milling about she slipped on in.

"Excuse me please, a Star has arrived! Class is almost in session guys, can't be late." putting the star-shades on her head once more and her personal sound track cut out as she pulled the ear buds from her ear, giving the group a wink and a grin that just couldn't contain itself.
Crispin Clean

"At ease, Clean. She's one of your Academy mates, Ires wouldn't behave like you think she's. You'd better show her some respect the next time, though. Like it or not she's both your Sovereign and Commander,"

First name basis with royalty? Captain has some convenient strings she can pull, a faint smile that couldn't reach his eyes was all Clean offered in response to his Captain. Stiff movements weighed down on Clean for the rest of the trip. He trusted the Captain, no question, however between the Sergeant being the disgrace he was and now entering the same orbit as royalty? Clean simply pantomimed along, following the crowd almost looking like an animatronic facsimile of himself. His one drink still more than half full Clean was sorely tempted to enter the public bath, the cleanliness could only help his state of mind and maybe even loosen him up once more. Sadly the bath seemed to be getting rather crowded.

Apart from a bath, I suppose there's another way to feel at least somewhat clean leaving the hardly touched mug, Clean whisked himself from the Golden Sheep and took in the cool night air. The air in itself clearing his head, Clean walked off towards the church. Even if the effect was merely a placebo churches often felt fresh. It was a place where sin was supposed to be washed away after all.

While on the way to the church the loose dirt caused Clean to slip and skid, scuffing his right knee and staining his pants. Climbing slowly to his feet, firmly wiping down his clothes. It wouldn't come clean. Looking at his hand the grit speckled there, caked onto him. Clapping his hands loudly once and flicking his wrists to the sides, Clean moved towards the church. Hand resting on the door, Clean rubs his hand along the wood grain and checks it once more, it's still dirty. He couldn't see it, but he was certain it was. He was an absolute mess. He can't be in public in such a state. Entering the church, Clean briefly looked over the room, barely registering the other people there, before going to see if there was any holy water or something similar he could use to wash up. Cleanliness was next to Godliness after all.
