Hey there! So, I've had this RP idea in my head for quite some time now, and I've hesitated in putting it out there just because I feel like I'm constantly adding 'could be' plot twists, etc. I'm really looking forward to it, though, and I'd like it to really end up as an extended 'slice of life' type thing. Yes, I'm expecting this to be a pretty long, well drawn out RP, so I'm really hoping to find the right person here. I think it could be awesome if we put our heads together and take different twists and turns with it. I'll write out the basic plot here, and possible twist ideas, but I'd like us to develop it together, rather than me dictating the whole plot. Anyway, here we go:

He enlisted at 18, foregoing the college life when his country was at war. It was something noble to do, and he figured his father would have killed him if he didn't follow in the man's military footsteps. So, at age 21 he was already a decorated 'veteran' of sorts, having been over seas twice in heavy combat. But he loved every second of what he did. He was good at it, he had made the best friends of his life, and not a day went by where he didn't look forward to the next day.

She was 17, 6 months away from graduating high school. An honor student, popular, with several college acceptance letters sitting on her desk in her bedroom. And with high school so close to coming to a close, assignments were becoming, well...a little 'lacking'. The project for her English course? Write a hand-written letter to a soldier overseas for Christmas..even though it was only September. Maybe the English teacher just had a soft spot, since her son had been in the service.

Little did she know that simple letter would change her life, and his....

Basically, I'd like the whole story to start out with letters being exchanged for awhile. Little paragraphs of their lives will be background 'noise' as the focus of each post will be the letters, where they open up more to each other, and get closer. Maybe a little too close at times. While he's got an opportunity to take a leave, he comes to visit her three weeks before her high school graduation, where that too close nature becomes a reality. They can't deny a relationship at that point, but with her only being seventeen, they sort of have to hide it for the time being.

The continuation of the story can go a lot of ways...here are just some ideas:

- How they deal with him being deployed again
- PTSD
- How her going to college affects their relationship
- Long distance relationship
- Temptation for both of them

Like I said, I'd really like to develop this with the right person...if this sounds like something you think you'd enjoy, feel free to shoot me a PM! Thanks!

Hello, everyone! Lately, I've been developing different RP ideas around some of the currently overplayed songs on my iTunes, and I'm really enjoying coming up with plots and themes just based on a line or two, or even a melody. Since I've gotten a few lined up, I thought now might be a good time to hash them out and see if anyone was interested. If not..hey, no biggie, right? First thing's first, though...here's a little about me and my RP style:

I am over 18 years old, and would prefer my partner to be as well. Don't take offense, kiddos...but the bottom line is there's going to be some kind of theme that makes me really uncomfortable with you if you're still considered a 'minor', so to speak. Whether that be sex, language, mature themes, whatever. Consider this a Rated R movie you just ain't gonna get into without some valid ID or a parental guardian.

I'm a dude. I'll only play a dude. You don't even want me to try to play a female character. Trust me.

When I say "High Cas-Advanced", I sort of mean it. Oh man, this is where things get tricky, isn't it? That little 'dash' between casual and advanced writing skills that puts everyone in a tizzy. Some of us think we're too good for the word 'casual'. Some of us cringe at the word 'advanced'. So here's the happy medium. I typically write a solid 4-6 paragraphs per post...more if my partner gives me good content to work with and is willing to do the same length. But, I don't ever want to put pressure on anyone, so I always feel like 4-6 is a good level to be on. That being said, I try to jam-pack as much as I can into those little paragraphs. I'm a sucker for detail, dialogue, and descriptions. And please spell things correctly most of the time? I'm not a Spelling Bee Nazi, but...most of us get a little red line under a word if it's incorrect, right? Let's pay attention and we'll all get along just fine.

I can be sappy and sarcastic Sometimes I'm in the mood for an action packed RP with little to no romance, even though 1x1's are definitely my forte and my favorite way to RP. I'm all up for playing multiple characters because of this. But, you'll see in the few selections below, they're a bit softer in nature, even though there's definitely conflict in each of them. They're all reality-based, so please no one with dragon wings message me asking if they could play out a plot. No offense to you guys...God love ya. I just can't get into it, that's all.

ONTO THE PLOTS (These are just a quick synopsis of each - I'd rather play out the whole plot than give it to you here. It's OUR roleplay, not just mine. Let's develop the plot together!)

I Don't Believe It's Through Song Here

They were fools, really. A classic story that played out much differently in reality than it did on TV or in the movies - high school sweethearts who hadn't necessarily 'played it safe', which resulted in a beautiful baby girl to take care of. But, with time you grow up, and grow apart. She was tired of living in the past and wondering when he was ever going to grow up. He worked his fingers to the bone to provide for his new found 'family', but it wasn't enough, and he cracked under the pressure. It was better that way, really. He sent a check every month to her, to help pay for their little girl's needs. He sent birthday cards and Christmas presents, but since she was less than a year old, he hadn't been able to hold his daughter, and that had been his choice. She had gotten married since then, and it had always made him sick to his stomach, that some other man would be seen as his daughter's father. Things like that could drive you insane if you let them, and that was exactly where he was - the point of insanity. Insane enough to...go back to his hometown.

And so, after long arguments over the phone and via e-mail with her, she finally agreed to let him see their daughter around the holidays, and as he made the trek across the states to 'go home', his thoughts not only ended up on that little girl he knew so little about, but on the woman he left behind as well.

Details Song Here

He was a young businessman in a new town to close an important deal. She was a bartender at the lounge in his hotel. A spitfire, really - she would have attracted any hot-blooded American man within a 100 yard radius, and she probably got a hell of a lot of tips simply because of her looks, and that sex appeal she had to know she was pulling off. There was something mysterious about her, too, which was also part of the attraction. What would a little harmless flirting do? The last thing he would expect, though, was for her to be hiding something deeper that could destroy him without him even realizing it...

Ideas for her 'details' could range from anything to a terminal illness, to being involved in a drug or crime ring, to...being some kind of thief. The possibilities are endless.)

Cross My Mind Song Here

Set in the early 1940s, he comes back from serving his time in the war with an honorable discharge. An injury. One that he could have quickly recovered from and gone back, but the Army didn't want 'damaged goods' fighting their war, and a bullet wound to the leg and a broken arm wasn't going to get you anywhere fast. So, the young man had no choice but to go home. She had been a lifelong friend, who had married his other lifelong friend. Ever since they were kids, they had been a strong trio. Even when the two others married, it hadn't changed the dynamic at all, and he had done his best not to recognize the fact that she had grown into a beautiful woman with an incredible personality. He could never think of her that way, because she was his friend, and his best friend's wife. That best friend was still fighting the good fight, though, and for the first time in their lives, they found themselves as a duo instead of a trio. What lies within that is yet to be seen.
Hi there - I'm really interested in your first plot if you're still looking!
