Haha. That's fine by me :) it adds a nice little personal touch to things, I think.
Kari was about to respond when her friend began asking her a strange question, but Alexa cut herself off so she figured whatever she thought she saw was simply a figment of her imagination. As they made their way home, Alexa kept looking around and she wondered if her friend was scared that another car would almost hit her. They made it to her home shortly, and Kari was rushed to Alexa’s room. She looked at her friend curiously as Alexa turned off the light, not that there was much to see, it was totally dark for her.

“Lex… are you alright?” She asked softly, sounding a little unsure, but did as she was asked and answered the question, however strange it was. “I um… there’s no light Alexa… you turned it off…” She looked at the other girl, seemingly a little afraid. She heard a scratching at the door and jumped slightly, trying to calm herself from her start. Alexa was freaking her out, and she was acting so strange. Maybe the girl was still just shaken up from her experience, it must have been traumatic. Suddenly Alexa left her and ran over to the door, turning on the light and letting the cat in.

“Are you okay? You’re acting strange.” Kari said softly, sounding nervous. She watched the cat as it walked up onto the bed and began staring off at a corner, which was empty to her. It then walked over towards where it was looking and began pawing at the air. Maybe he’d seen a bug or something. Suddenly Alexa cried out and Kari flinched slightly. “What must be the rock? Alexa! You’re not making any sense!”

Astral looked to the little creature as it walked over him and tried to touch him. He moved out of the way just enough to stay out of its reach, looking at it curiously, and then to Alexa as she said something about a rock. He tilted his head slightly, looking at it closely, his gaze on the gem intense.
Astral followed along, taking a cue from the girl and remaining silent for the rest of the journey. He looked up at the building that the girl resided in, silently admiring the size of the structure. As they ascended the stairs he stayed close, his eyes searching out into the darkness. His first impression of this place hadn't been very good, and the girl before him had seemed very fearful of many things in it. It led him to believe that it was not an overly safe place, he was not sure where or when to expect danger, so he simply readied himself for anything that may present itself at any time.

As they entered a small room he looked around silently, still tense. It was only when she gave him permission to relax did he do so. It was a small place, compared to the size of the rest of the building, but it didn’t feel cramped, the space made him feel very at ease, comfortable. He could see he would be spending quite a bit of time here with this girl, so he decided he would take a small, calculated risk and ask her something on a more personal note. Astral was not the talkative kind, but there was something he would like to know.

“If I may ask… what is your name?” He said suddenly, looking over to her with his strange eyes, one golden and one white looking at the girl. They seemed… strangely innocent, as if he really was oblivious to most of the secrets this world held. All he knew was her, and what she told him. “Who are you?” He then rephrased, repeating her question from earlier. A name was one thing, but he knew from personal experience it did not tell you who one was. He knew his name, but he did not know who he was. And it was a strange feeling. But he could at least know who she was and it may hold some secret to who he was.
Finally seeming satisfied that the car presented no threat of getting back up Astral relaxed slightly, his form becoming less ridged as he looked towards Alexa out of the corner of his eyes curiously, not saying anything.

Kari quickly rose to her feet and ran over to her friend and placed her hands on her shoulders, seemingly ignorant of the being beside them. “Holy shit! Are you okay?! That car just came out of nowhere-” She trailed off and looked towards the wrecked car before them, sitting on its roof and she slowly approached it, kneeling down as she got close and looking inside, immediately wishing she hadn't.

“I… I don’t think that guy’s alive…” She said softly as she stood up, looking to the other girl. What should they do? If they called the cops how do they explain this? But if that guy is still alive she couldn’t leave him there to die. He could easily be unconscious. She didn’t know. Finally she called and walked back towards Alexa. “We should call an ambulance…” She said slowly as she drew out her phone, looking at it a little blankly. “But… I… I don’t think we should be around when they show up…”

The girl was shaking visibly, which was stupid because she hadn't been anywhere near the danger. Alexa was just starring off into the distance. “Come on,” she said softly, taking the other girl’s arm. “We’re close to your house, I’ll walk you there. Once we’re there I’ll call the ambulance. Okay? Alexa? Are you… alright…” She trailed off and looked over to where the girl was staring but didn’t see anything. “What are you looking at?” She asked as she began leading Alexa away.

Astral looked over properly this time, turning his head and tilting it slightly. The other girl seemed unable to see him, which was a curious development. However the one he had saved didn’t seem to be reacting too much to his presence. Maybe she couldn’t see him either. However at the declaration that they were leaving he made a decision to follow them, his body floating effortlessly above the ground.
It was starting to get late into the evening on a Friday night, Kari was walking along the street with Alexa, talking happily. The air was crisp and a soft breeze blew gently through the trees, with very few clouds in the sky, revealing the dim stars and the new moon and aside from the soft chirping of crickets there was little noise. They had been out later than intended, but she didn’t feel overly worried. They both went to school and lived in a safe neighbourhood; there were shadier spots in the city to be. Needless to say, the girl was excited for the weekend.

Kari sighed as they reached the street corner that marked the place where they must part to go home, she up a flight of stairs and through an alley, and Alexa across the road and down a few blocks. “I guess I’ll see you on the weekend sometime?” She asked hopefully, smiling slightly. She took a few steps, watching Alexa walk onto the road. Around the corner she could see a car driving erratically down the street. A sleek, black, sporty looking car that came screeching around the corner, heading straight for Alexa. It was as if everything slowed down, things began playing in slow motion as Kari reached out. “Alexa look out!”

The air night suddenly became cold and still, all noise seemed to disappear, the car seemed to slow to an unearthly stop, no noise, the lights seemed to dim and then street lights began to flicker. Suddenly the stillness of the night erupted into forceful wind, crashing around the pair violently, tearing at clothes. The trees on the street side shook fiercely and suddenly a branch came loose, falling onto the power lines. Instant darkness of lost power was followed by a few sparks from the severed cable before it came to rest of the other side of the street.

A soft light began emitting from beneath Alexa’s clothes, near her chest. The light grew brighter and brighter, to the point where there was nothing else to see, it began floating, all on its own and released a powerful pulse of energy which sent Kair and Alexa sprawling to the ground and the car sent flying backwards through the air, flipping in the air and landing upside-down a few metres away.

A few seconds later the wind died, returning to the strangely still and now very quiet night. With the light of the crystal extinguished after the blast and the power out on the street it was dark once more, the stars and new moon doing very little to provide light to see by. After a few seconds of silence more light entered the world, beside her a soft glowing surrounded an unearthly figure, whom seemed to be floating in mid air.

The figure was human in shape, but very slender, their body a bizarre white-ish blue, their hair seeming to defy gravity along with the rest of their body as it curled up over their head. The figure seemed tense for a moment, their eyes, one golden, one white, locked onto where the vehicle lie. The figure didn’t turn to the girl next to him, but eventually did speak. “Rise.” He said, for the voice confirmed that it was a male. After a few seconds, he spoke again. “Rise up. You are safe now.”

“Alexa! Are you okay?!” Kari shouted worriedly from her place on the ground.
Isn't he just the best? ^_^ Okay, so I hadn't been planning on you knowing what Zexal was, so I'm gonna have to change the plot very slightly. The crystal can be just found randomly a few months ago, rather than given to her. Father has no longer disappeared, you may make of him what you will. Still same main goal, but I was thinking now, maybe after she's collected a few crystals there is an incident where she makes a rather public display of her power, panic ensues and she is forced to go on the run. Is hat okay? I was thinking of having a couple of different groups after them for different reasons which will be explained later.

Seeking an active RP buddy to play a female role for a casual level modern-fantasy/mystery RP with a very developed plot (that I have, not seeking just to clarify). I will reveal some of the plot to those who express interest.

Please pm me if you have any questions or want to express interest.
Astral looked at the girl as she informed him he'd almost been hit by a car and he nodded slowly in acknowledgement. "But I did not." He then informed her, still seeming unbothered by this fact. Still, he did find it a little strange that the 'car' as it was called, hadn't seemed to notice him. If it was a danger as the girl seemed to think it was surely it would have tried to avoid him. Still, he wasn't earthbound as she was, so things like that car were less of a risk to him. It was interesting, seeing as most things here were firmly planted on the ground, whereas he was able to float around.

It made it very clear that, wherever he came from, it was not here. "There is no need to worry." He assured the girl, his voice calm and tranquil. "For now I cannot sense any danger." He did, however, move off the road and closer to the girl as they traveled along, if nothing else than to ease any further anxiety she may have.
