The purple themed Kunoichi was amidst her own thoughts. Following her teammates along, but also moving through the place in her own head. Clicking as they walked, sending out more and more waves that were reverberating off of each other and continuously feeding back. They followed the rails, only to lightly come back to her - it meant the room was getting vast as they walked on. She moved both daggers to one hand, as Kurin handed her something. Kiku lifted one side of her mask up, staring at the contraption she'd only handled a few times before "What..?" The less than technologically advanced Kunoichi stared peculiarly at the device. Jumping at the sound of Shizuka throwing his, she grumbled at his move and proceeded to attach the device to the top of her boot and continue moving forward. As they continued on, she made a click again when the room opened up, this one louder than before as she could tell it opened up upon the sound of their footsteps not coming back to her as quickly, or at all. She heard her blonde haired teammates comment, and nodded in agreement. She this time put her hands towards the statue and let out a snap, ringing a little louder than her tongue would. Thankfully, she had inscribed the signs and such from earlier to her short term memory, and it was fairly easy to decipher as she pulled from there.
"Fan'shuo. Blessed with infinite resources and life. Our founders, the rejected, reveled in the Phonzite. And the world grew to envy them and their focus. The Winds and Earth would come to regret their transgressions. We of Fan'Shuo are proud, but not foolish as they were. We shall bless them as we were blessed. For we fear the Worm."
She said, and crossed her arms - the chains clashing against each other as she moved her hands under herself. A click hit her ears, the sound of something shutting. Her head scanning the room, as if she was looking through her mask. Then turned it back to the rest of the inscriptions.
"To the Uncertain and Distressed Activate the Switch And Remember your Focus"
Her attention changed to her teammates, noticing a shift in the atmosphere in the room. Between her roommates, and the start of the hourglass. "What?!" She exclaimed, and then looked from Kurin to Shizuka, seeing a slight power struggle. Both having their own ideas, she kept silent for the moment. "What if that switch lets out that worm?" This was more of a mutter to herself as she assessed the situation. "How about you're defense in case of a worm or anything for that matter, Jaakuna" motioning to the vast cavern they were in, "It seems we have enough air now for fire, I'll listen as Shizuka said, Kurin you ready yourself to stabilize the platform as Shizuka said, and Shizuka you hit the switch and we all gather around you in case of a possible rock collapse". She pointed up to the roof, hearing the cracks spread through upon the hourglass flipping. Alerting her teammates to that now impending threat, in case they hadn't noticed. She bent down, and set her daggers down, placing her palms down sending chakra to them - "This place is moving as that hourglass does, and hitting the switch can go a number of ways...I think that covers all perameters,". She stated firmly, also deciding she was taking the median path between the two's ideas and collaborating them. Even if they ignored her idea, she was going to continue listening to the room move - it was really all she could hear at the moment.
Thankfully, when they were teleported into the room, Kiku had had her mask on. The full white would've disoriented the poor girl, she instead was sending chakra to all her other senses and assessing the situation based off of her teammates emotions. Hearing the wall open, and her teammates move forward - she let out a softer click and it lightly painted a watercoloured picture of the small hallway. Allowing everyone to go in front of her so she could listen for their footsteps, and just follow suit.
She heard Shizuka's comment about writing down the runes, but of course this girl heard everything - she just lifted up her mask on one side and made a mental note. Her memory was pretty decent, especially from mapping out rooms and really navigating based through memory until she used echolocation again to remap the world in real time. It was interesting living the life of a semi-blind ninja, especially one who forced herself to fight blindly in some small attempt to probably feel adequate enough, or something else subconsciously. Anyways, she had been studying the signs, and then noticed she was alone momentarily as the rest of the group moved forward "What!?" She jumped and quickly jogged forward, proceeding to act as if she didn't just get left behind.
Upon entering the room, this is where Kiku had felt her brightest, when she was on the floor examining it - she could feel the metal make the tiniest sounds. A small squeak escaped her mouth as she was now almost floating the air watching the platform descend quickly under her. No worries, her butt firmly planted on back to the metal platform as they still soared down. Her wildly long purple hair was waving furiously as they continued to soar down. She was sitting with her legs bent and out to the side, her hands planted in front of her on the ground listening for a change. She felt and heard Kurin hit the floor with her, and the Jakuuna as well. Her teammates emotions were all different at the moment, calm, irritated, surprised. She herself was becoming more tense, a small sense of anxiety washed over her at the realization that this was truly the beginning of her exam now.
Her head popped up as if looking at Shizuka, her mask still on, she felt his energy again. This time he wasn't as abrasive, but a different kind of persona was about him. Kiku unsure of exactly what he was doing so close. She gave a small smile, but her lips then pursed upon her given nickname. Kiku then looked back down to the ground, bringing a thumb up to her mask, the second it slid under the material light filled her view and slightly startled her. Her hand immediately withdrawn its move, and went back down to the ground. Her nostrils suddenly filled with a smell that triggered a memory from her visit to Suna. Simple delivery mission from the Academy, nothing notable. But the smell nonetheless stuck itself to that memory firmly.
She sat there on the ground, giving off a few soft clicks and her world painted around her again after they stopped moving. But it wasn't very detailed. The room was so vast that the sound wasn't fully coming back to her, she hadn't really encountered this problem too many times. Upon this moment of realization, and irritation - Shizuka showed himself again, placing himself next to the girl as her fingertips were studying the etchings on the contraption that sent her on her ass. "Here let me try" She raised an eyebrow under her mask, and suddenly her hair was flying straight up in the air again. She almost thought they had fallen again, and this time was rocked back by a force of air. As she fell back, her dress happened to lift and she quickly grabbed at it pushing it back down and sitting on her knees - hiking the dress down farther. Again, her face swelled with red - but it quickly subsided as the room became vastly alive. She thought she'd have to cover her ears for a moment at how loud the sound echoing back to her was. She raised up, still on her knees and smiled, "Whoah," everything was so vastly detailed. Every sound wave had made it ways back to her ears, completely painting the room she was in. She reached over and grabbed the boys arm, "Thank you," giving a small squeeze to his forearm. Suddenly, her hand retracted and she stood up quickly - staring in a particular direction.
Kiku began walking away from her team, she made a quick hand sign "Kusarijutsu," she mumbled - extending her hands outward palms facing the ground and fingers outstretched. Two identical daggers rose from the ground, and long chains followed suit. Kiku turned her face back to her teammates, her demeanor had changed - a small hot faint wind blew lifting her hair slowly. "There's...beings..though I don't believe they're alive. I cannot myself sense any chakra," She looked to Kurin, and then towards the directions of the beings, "Can you? I believe they're just....statues maybe...." Going on her own intuition, she began to slowly walk in that direction, the chains of her daggers dragging on the ground behind her. Kiku stopped for a moment, her head turning around as she navigated the room painted in her mind. Shizuka's sonic wave had perfectly detailed this room for her, she could easily lift her mask and see it for herself - but this gave it a new depth. The falling ruins, and dusted symbols intrigued her greatly. She waited on her team to assess her question about the statue's by mentally examining the room herself, standing perfectly still as she moved in her mind.
She could hear the others moving forward, and stayed in her spot. Something was bothering her, and it was probably the rather large golem that was standing beyond all the smaller ones she was apprehensive about. Her face was in the direction of the rather large being, studying the area around it. It hit her like Shizuka's gust of air."Wait!" Kiku called out, and raised one of the daggers tips to the Golem's lifted arm, "Look...." Her hand lowered, the sound of the chain readjusting on the ground, "It's arm is raised". Her tone had become more serious, and she was far more short - now entering her logical phase as she usually did during missions.
@Seraphicide Done, and thank you. I took away all of her sensing jutstu's and ish too. She'll just have heightened natural senses to go ahead and reduce the number of sensors we have.
Her ears picked up Kurin's light words about the tower mission, she snapped her fingers and nodded - "You're right," Kiku agreed and smiled slamming a fist into her other hand. An "ah-hah" moment, "I knew there was somewhere else I knew you from". As her mind wandered back to the successful mission, she felt Shizuka's presence coming towards her again. Readying herself for another face to face - he clearly was the kind that had no boundaries. Her head turned slightly as he began to speak, her mouth slightly dropping at what came out next.
She may of well have fallen, except on her face this time with his comment. 'Cloudy Eyes,' she felt herself mentally sink into a hole. Kiku had completely accepted the fact that in close to 11 years she'd be 100% blind, but the occasional comment towards her eyes made her apprehensive to ever showing her face in public again. Her face, that was revealed, twisted into a look of smelling something sour. In her mind she sulked away to a corner, trying to figure how to recover from the assumed jab at her eyes. In reality the girl just shook the boys hand, her body tense - not sure of its next move. An exasperated sigh left her mouth, but her mood slowly shifted positively as she noticed how genuine the exuberant boy was being. Since her world was currently enwrapped in darkness, all her other senses heightened to notice the positive mood of the Shinobi - not feeling any negativity radiate from him. Her face flushed again, and she leaned forward towards him this time "Because you're just..it's just...you...I...." She stumbled over her words, and then let out a distressed sigh, shaking her head. "I wasn't expecting you to get so close.....and I don't think I can exactly teach you this..." She turned her face away from his, leaning back and standing tall trying to combat the red that this boy was instilling in her face.
Kiku wasn't even sure if he was trying to compliment her, or be rude with a backhanded compliment. But his comment about looking at clouds all day left her wondering. Suddenly, her composure changed from stiff and crossed arm to holding her stomach and letting out a pretty nice sized laugh. "Fight crime?" She laughed again, and smirked at him. She hadn't encountered a personality as diverse as his, and was now coming to terms with the fact that the boy possibly meant no harm. "Maybe I can show you sometime...." She clicked her tongue, and pointed at her mouth, "Echolocation. Like a bat". Her hands moved out to the sides, and she made little wing like motions. Kiku decided to play it out, and feel Shizuka out - his personality was one she hadn't encountered before and he seemed to be a sincere boy. Her attention then turned back to Kurin as he began to speak of the 4th member, she nodded in conjunction with his choice. Familiar with this boy as well, this would be an interesting team. Kiku opened her mouth to say something, but it was then that Shinko appeared, and they disappeared.
The Challenge
Her confidence soared, upon their entrance to the room, Kiku smiled - her hands on her hips in a prideful pose. The darkness, her old friend, one she had been slow-dancing with since she was 8 years old. Her mask was still on her face, but she had pulled it down momentarily to asses the start of their exam. She quickly let out a few clicks, and sauntered forward raising her head towards the roof - she was stiff for a moment letting all the echo's bounce and come back to her. The room began to take shape in her head, "It's not a very big room," She noted, and turned her head as if she was looking around "But this is weird...". Bending down towards the floor, her mane flowed over her body and piled onto the floor - she rapped her knuckles against the structure they were standing on. The sound rang in her ears, and clearly it was not earth, the sound that came back earlier from her clicks caught her attention. Kiku turned her head to Kurin, hearing her name and nodded "Gotcha". Her hand was still on the floor as her fingers grazed the lines. Kurin seemed to be taking on the role as squad leader, and Kiku was completely fine with this - she let out another click this time to readjust the mental map of the room as Kurin had changed its already painted image in her head with his trees and limbs. "Anyone else sensing anything?".
Kiku took a few steps away from the Uchiha boys, and sighed. Weighing the options of joining a team or not bothered the girl, she was familiar with everyone who was from the Konoha Academy. But, the idea of going up to and asking anyone sent a wave of anxiety through her. Kiku brought a hand to her face, raising one side of her mask to stare at the masses. Though she could use echolocation to see the world around her, it wasn't enough to detail a face. Everything was more like a shadowy outline, black and gray, pretty bland. She looked around at all the different groups noting some already forming, and frowned. The Hokage did say anyone.... Staring at the ninja around her, examining the students from Iwa, all of them very interesting to her. Maybe it'd be better to team with another village since she was familiar with the students and what they were capable of, she'd have a slight upper hand in what to expect. But then again, the thought of going up to any of those complete strangers really made anxious. She dropped her mask and sighed, rubbing her temples - cursing herself for not being a bit forthright when it came to meeting new people.
Well, the worse anyone could say is no....she convinced herself, and began to mindlessly move through the crowd. As she let out a click to navigate through the flowing crowd, a figure stepped right in her pathway. A familiar voice she had heard earlier came from the body in front her - strudel boy. He was rather exuberant, sensing his particularly good mood - and he was also getting very very close, especially to her face. The Kunoichi leaned back as the boy leaned towards her face, her cheeks tinged with pink at the unexpected break in her personal space. He had gotten so close she could now smell the strudel on his breath. Kiku lost her balance and reached out in reflex to break her descent onto her ass, her hands reaching out of reflex for something to grab. It happened to be Shizuka's track suit - she felt him start to fall with her but he caught his footing and leaned back. Almost falling into him as she rocked forward back onto her feet. Kiku quickly let go of his suit and hopped back, letting out a breath of relief. The lavender haired Kunoichi crossed her arms, and pursed her lips as her cheeks began to turn red. "Hey! I'm not going deaf, you don't have to get so close...." She stuck a thumb under the right side of her mask - raising it high enough to reveal one powdered lavender eyeball.
"I taught myself how to fight with it on," Her one eye moved from Shizuka's face to Kurin's, and realized she recognized them from the Academy. The "Stick-boy" seemed a bit rigid, as he was just dragged through the crowd, but knew who he was - class president Kurin. Shizuka was a voice she had been familiar with for a long time, she remembered hearing it echo in the halls and even outside, but never met him. Now she had just been face to face with him, literally. "My eyes are so light because I'm going blind, and they'll keep getting lighter till then....and thank you". She added, her cheeks flushed again. Kiku personally wasn't the biggest fan of her fading eyes, but the sting of knowing she was going blind wore off a long time ago. Slipping her thumb out from under her mask quickly letting it fall back into place. She crossed her arms under her chest, and turned her head slight at the two. It then dawned on her that he was asking her to be on their team, she smiled as a sense of relief washed through her. Starting conversations wasn't her forte, and now she didn't have to approach anybody. "Yeah, okay! We just need to find one more person, right?" She chirped, extending one arm out from under her chest to shake their hands, "I'm Kiku of the Kurama Clan".
【Appearance/Wardrobe】 Kiku has very long lavender hair that falls almost to the floor, with eyes of the same color, though a little lighter to compliment - this due to her losing her eyesight. She is slender, and stands at about 5'5" when she is an adult, and shorter than most in her youth. A well endowed woman, she was blessed with the curves of one. Though on her time off appears to be more of a modest woman - wearing pants, or black joggers with a black halter top to accompany it. If you first meet her in her Mission wear, you'd probably think less of the girl. A tight black and purple accented dress - with thigh high boots, and long gloves to match. If you ask her why she wears such an outfit, she'll probably respond with something about 'breathable fabric'. If she doesn't have her glasses on, she is typically seen with a mask - her main peroggative for wearing this with her mission wear is due to training herself with a mask on, developing her own style almost - fighting blindly, gearing herself up and ready for her well...dark future.
A sweet girl - which is a typical sentiment upon meeting the young Kunoichi. Kiku is rich in love for those who show it to her, typically never straying from the friend she does get close to. Being an only child has secluded Kiku from being able to connect naturally with others, never sure how to approach. She typically finds herself being a bit of loner, but is always enthralled to be around the comfort of others. She can come off as a very silent observer until you get her to open up a little bit. Because of Kiku's diminishing eyesight, her other senses are heightening - this in turn has caused her to become more in tune with others emotions, so many see her a very empathetic person. One to always be a shoulder to cry on if need be, though don't overstay your welcome. She will eventually fold in on herself, not sure how to handle the constant company.
Bringing up her eyes or height, is almost a sore subject for the young girl. She is embarrassed by both, and would prefer nobody to look her directly in the eyes to notice exactly how light they're becoming. Don't be offended if the poor girl looks the other way as she talks, a constant sign of anxiety being her fidgeted with her glasses during a conversation.
For whatever reason - Kiku always take's the person of authority very seriously. When it came to school, she was almost a teachers pet. Ensuring every task was done and on time as well. This when put in a squad, leads her to being very submissive, and obedient when it comes to taking instruction placed upon her. She will never stray from a mission, no matter what the cost - always putting logic and reasoning before her own emotion. With an opponent - she is seen a cold force, never mincing words. She sees it as a waste of time, and would rather just in essence get down to business.
Fall was settling into Konoha, making a swift change through the Village. As this change came about, so did one to two members of the Kurama family. Toru Kurama had married his Lavender powdered wife, Airi, a few years prior, the two leading a very happy life. Now, Airi was in labor and Toru was pretty enthralled over the breath of new life that was the creation of him and his wife. Toru had grown up within the Kurama Community, of course highly skilled in Genjutsu as it was the Clan's specialty. The two had met upon his arrival to the hospital one day after a mission, he wasn't seriously injured - just minor cuts, and checks for internal damage. She waltzed into the room after the doctor, standing quiet as Toru was examined. He was captured by her long lavender hair, and eyes to compliment - she was stern, it slightly intimidated him. She then opened her mouth to answer the dotor, and her voice was like silk to him. It was even after his departure from the hospital, a week later - he found himself still wondering about the mystery girl that he didn't have the courage to ask her name.
He had made his way back to the hospital, flowers in hand. This was out of nature for Toru, yes he was a kindhearted man, respectful, loyal to his comrades. But Toru never had interest in women, or at least in letting them interfere with his life. He made his ways of course through the brothels, and such during his time off in missions, or when he was away. But the concept of love, and marriage was a far off idea for the man. But this woman, this woman - in particular was different. He ended up getting her called to the front of the hospital, most of the nurses beaming over how 'cute' Toru was being - not even knowing the girl and wanting to ask her out. He stumbled over his words, trying to do so, and she finished the sentence for him. In answer form. "Go out with you," Airi beamed, and grabbed the flowers pressing them to her face, Toru was a love sick dog, "Motu's - 8pm". The young nurse turned on her heel and waved, "See you then"
In essence, the two made it through all trials and tribulations - which actually wasn't much for the two. Airi was a stern woman, intelligent, could hold a conversation with Toru, and actually made him laugh. And now, she was making him cry with the joy of a life he never wanted in the first place. Though thinking on it, he may have a few bastard children somewhere....
Kiku came into the world - not inheriting a bit of the Kurama Clan's brunette hair, or eyes. Instead, she was a spitting image of her beautiful mother. Her head was full of deep purple hair, and her eyes only a shade lighter, but so wide and ready to see the world it seemed. He was the first to hold her, and almost ran around the hospital with her to show off his new pride and joy in life. And that she was. Of course, the man wanted a little boy - but his little girl was much more than could be the eye. The moment she was coherent to slightly understand the life of a Ninja, she wanted to become one. Seeing her father come home in mission gear occasionally, she'd ask about his travels, intently listening to the stories he had to tell her. Always wide-eyed in amazement at her father, she wanted to be just like him. So, she began to bug him, and wanted to train - Toru was in awe that his barely 5 year old was wanting to 'train'. Toru decided that if Kiku really wanted it, she'd stick with - she trained her he did.
He continued to surprise her with her inhibition, and will of fire she had to learn. He trained her in Taijutsu mostly until she was 8 - and everything halted as this point in time. Fear set in for the loving parents, as they watched their child fall ill. Their pain saddened even more when she couldn't leave her bed for close to two months. Though, it was only another week after the 2 month period of her illness that she began to recover at an alarming rate. Finally sitting up, walking, eating full foods, keeping fluids down. The doctor had earlier assessed it was a common flu - but Kiku's body wasn't properly fighting it off. It was also noted that no medicines were helping as well. Her body eventually fought it off, but it did take something from her. Her eyesight. Upon finally being mobile again, the girl complained of blurry vision, and headaches. Airi being a nurse, rushed her to the hospital - and the news was given that the girl was going blind. Glasses would fix the situation, but by her 30's she'd be completely blind.
Kiku was old enough to understand this situation, and it did sadden her. Toru, and Airi tried their best to keep the girl in good spirits, but Kiku was more scared than sad to never see again. It was one day, that her mother and her got into an argument when she was 9 - something clicked in the young girl. A small voice appeared, and it ended up causing her to hurt her mother. Placing her mother under a Gen, she sent her mother walking to the counter, grabbing a knife, and slicing her wrist. The shriek of pain, was heard by her father who entered the room and quickly assessed the situation. Realizing his daughter had the affinity for the Kurama Clan's Genjutsu specialty, but also...she seemed to have gotten the Kekkai Genkai. Only every few generations, one Clan member would surpass all other's - which was astounding, and terrifying due to the nature of what this Gen could do. Actually ignore its opponents. Toru was confused, for Kiku was not full Kurama - but this once instance showed that she had gained every ounce of the Clan's Kek.

Her appearance is one that is similar to a collage. If your collage pertained to those that you have killed at least. This oddball loves to wear a simple relic of those she's killed, at least those that held some kind of weight in her twisted mind. But there have been rare occasions, she takes things because she likes them.
She carries the mask of an Anbu she fought against and won, wears the robe of some innkeeper she killed for not giving her free food. The blue rope she has tied around her was from some man she encountered across her journey, keeping the ribbon because he was a friend for a little - until she decided he just had to go when he was sleeping. His snoring was rather insufferable. The horns on her head are ones she formed herself - and keeps them there saying its bringing her closer to looking like her "True self". The flowers idea at the base of her horns came from when she was at some random village during a celebration, a small child asked her to lean down and adorned her horns with the flowers, and she's loved the idea ever sense. Replacing the flowers with ones she finds in nature whenever the ones currently adorned die. Always keeping a certain red flower around her horns, in honor of her master.
She has - what looks from afar - red lines painted under her eyes, and right below her shoulders on the outside of her arms. But upon getting closer, you will notice it is just where she has thinned her skin out and it is now transparent, the blood underneath flowing and creating the red. Her white hair/skin, and one eye that is red - this all comes from Albinism, as for her random left Golden Eye? Well, even she doesn't know. She was just born with the two different colored orbs. There are many different necklaces, and bracelets the girl wears as well - she can tell you the name of every person she took them off of.
The last notable thing about her, is the giant scroll she carries around. Overly-protective of it. It contains 'secrets,' she will say. But really its just smeared blood, and stories of those she has killed. As well as random scribblings of thoughts that pop into her head on her down time.
Split. Is an easy way to go about it. Her picture might be right not to "Psychotic" in the dictionary - actually. The girl is very diverse, and not easy to pinpoint. She can come off as aloof easily, and does this one purpose. Pretending she knows nothing of the weapons she carries, or the weight held by being a ninja. But she'll easily cut the charade off if she has too, and make your heart stop from the sudden flip of a switch. She shows little regard in giving mercy, when she's decided to kill someone she won't stop. Death is one of her favorite things, the taste of blood being the first. Blood intrigues her - the way it glimmers on her bone sword in the light, how warm it is when it leaves a fresh kill. Her main two sides that can be identified are a crazy, and overly enthusiastic side that seems to rely on the mere thought of something to go through with it. Then there is her side that barely speaks, silent, and uses rational thinking to assess situations - this side of her personality also is not as blood thirsty as the other. She will be found, if you happen to catch her, talking to herself in the woods as she walks along and travels through the world. No rhyme or reason to her doings. She is just being.
The daughter of a slut. Though, she'd never know this. In fact, she has no clue who her parents are. But to those reading the story, the poor girl was born to a women of the Harem scene, her mother in fact was unsure of the father. But it was a pretty skilled Shinobi, with a very interesting Kekkai Genkai. And though the girl could've inherited her mother's talent for...erm...laying on her back. She inherited her fathers fantastic Ninja skills, and even a bit more. Another personality.
Mizuki was given to a orphanage very soon after her birth, and came to know nobody as her mother or father. She knew the walls of the room she shared with many other children, and the owner of the orphanage and her husband. Both seeming always bothered by the children, it made her wonder why they even owned an orphanage. Growing up, the poor girl never knew love or the affection of parents. She grew up around other children who were distant from her, so she typically played by herself, always talking to herself which increased through the years. This was an underlying worry of all the other children in the orphanage, as they constantly would hear her talking to herself and having very intricate conversations. This worry eventually translated to the owners of the orphanage who quickly shoved her off to a home, without any inspection. It came right after she had been found standing over the other children as they slept, them awakening and screaming in fear of the albino crimson and gold eyed girl leering at them.
It was at the age of 8, she was adopted out to an elderly couple. They were fine, and treated her very well - though were slightly frightened every time they caught her talking to herself. She referred to them as Gram's & Gramps, since they were clearly far too old to have children of their own. So adopting a semi older child was their only way to have something to do in their aging lives. Grams stayed home, and Gramps was a very skilled Kenjutsu user. Showing her the ways of the sword, which is where her skill came from. As soon as she showed interest in the swords, he immediately began to train the young girl. It was also then that she decided she want to become a Ninja and entered Ame's Academy. Only to graduate, and never become anything futher than that.
After her Graduation from the Academy - everything spiraled down for the young Kunoichi. Or...up in her opinion. The old man one night got too handsy, as he was explaining to her new techniques with her Katana. His grip increased over her adolescent body and it was then she released thorn like bones from her body, he was too close and one shot through the bottom of his jaw to his brain. An instant kill. This was also what had awoken her Kekkai Genkai. Mizuki stared in awe at the bones that had protruded from her body, and then down to the floor as a pool of warm water greeted her feet. Except it was water.
The way the warm blood fell over her body was arousing, the bones retracted into her body and Gramps body fell. As she played around in the blood, she began to find a sense of humor from it. More. Was all she could hear. Her next kill was Grams, by coming up behind her and slicing her throat with a katana. The way the blood splashed out from the initial cut and then trickled down - she was so enthralled. As it fell off the sword, she decided to lick it. If she loved the way it felt, and looked it had to taste good too, right? It did. It was only a matter of a week that Mizuki had begun to slaughter random souls. She was a child still, and had no rhyme or reason for why she did what she was doing, it just made her feel good. Filled a void inside of her, she morphed in that week to the beginning stages of the being she is today.
Mizuki didn't stay long in the village, as fear was spreading through the town of these random killings so far it had been a few merchants, an innkeeper, a kid from the academy. The night before she left - Mizuki had made her new persona, "Kyokotsu". Growing her horns in a very prepubescent state compared to hers now. She had no guide, or anyone to tell her that there weren't people in her head, and those voices weren't real. So she fed into this in the short week of slaughter. It was also in the same day that Kyo was birthed, she encountered her Master. The man that almost slaughtered the poor helpless child, saw some weird cynical potential in the aspiring serial killer. Taking her under his wing and guiding her to her 'Pure' self.
Kyo spent 4 years with her master, from 14-18 years old she traveled by his side. He fueled all of her manic episodes, trained her, helped develop her into the weapon she didn't know she could be. She grew under his watch dramatically, but tragically the two were separated. The only thing she had in his memory was his umbrella, the young girl slipped in a manic depression after his departure. Adhering to his last commands, and staying away to keep herself safe. She had become a lot calmer, and more rational under the watch of her master, but Kyo was now alone in the world. But she wasn't lonely, not with all her friends in her head to guide her and keep her company. Kyo traveled alone for 2 years, recklessly slaughtering again. The only thing saving her being a jutsu to hide her appearance and keep her hidden as she waits for the return of her Master.

Sometimes though, when feeling a challenge she will reconfigure her whole body. She can stretch her skin, and enlarge her bones to change her whole appearance and be completely unrecognizable. In doing this, all she has to do is have a sample of cells/blood - and she is able to draw everythings he needs from a simple sample of their DNA that she must ingest. Her body then processes the sample and she can pull whatever features she wants from the sample, she is also able to store these different strains of DNA and change at will even years after she has used the appearance.
She had been awake early that day, rising as soon as the sun broke through her window. Sliding off the bed, she lightly made her way to her desk, grabbing her brush, she began combing through the absurdly long locks she kept. After a few moments, she began to get dressed for the day, and looked back at the note she had received from the Hokage. Today is the day... She smiled, walking back over to her desk and reaching forward for her glasses and mask. She tucked her mask into her kunai holder and then placed the thin black framed glasses onto her face. Staring at herself in the mirror, looking at her eyes - she noticed they had become lighter, she gasped slightly. Leaning forward the rays of light moved off her face, and relief dashed through her veins upon realization it was just the rays of light reflecting off her mirror. She was 19, with only maybe 15 more years left of decent vision left. Kiku shook her head as if the ideas would shake off like water droplets, and walked away from the mirror - quietly exiting the house. The sun was slowly rising - pinks and golds lightened from their deeper hues the higher the sun rose. She stared up admiring the sky, trying to burn these images into her head any moment she could.
Exam Stadium
She had arrived with the crowd, as she stood before the gates - her hand slid up to her face removing her glasses. Her other hand moving into her Kunai holder, removing her mask and replacing in its spot, her glasses. Staring down at the purple mask in her hands, she rubbed her thumbs over it and let out a relaxed breath - tying it around her head and adjusting the strap under her lavender locks. She let out a few light clicks, and then it was like she could see everything clearly in front of her again. Every body, their movements, the way they were facing, the rocks and leaves on the sidewalk - Kiku advanced into the stadium.
Unfortunately, everywhere she went was almost too loud for her enjoyment, her senses always heightening even further upon closing her eyes. She moaned after an unpleasant smell of body odor filled her nostrils. Her acute hearing picked up a few conversations - something about a strudel, an extremely foreign accent she hadn't even heard before, two people talking more intently. Kiku finally reached behind her head, and untied the mask giving herself a moment. Catching it in her left hand, she rubbed her eyes and blinked a few times her eyes adjusting to the low light. Looking around she studied the mixture of Chunin arorund her. All the babbling died down a bit, at least to Kiku, the moment she took the mask off - her world became a bit quieter, and more relaxed not having to hear every frustrating gritty detail of peoples lives.
Kiku walked through the crowds seeing many familiar faces from her Academy class, she waved to Hime - who was rather preoccupied and didn't notice her. As Kiku tried to make her way through the crowd, the Hokage's voice boomed forward. Her eyes strained to focus on him, quickly she placed on her glasses and stared up at the figure that inspired her in her journey to become a great Ninja. She smiled, and crossed her arms at how easy it would be for her to unearth the other teams scrolls. All she had to do was listen, and picking through conversations in a crowd had become so easy for the young Kunoichi. Upon the Hokage finishing his speech, Kiku looked in front of her to see two Uchiha's: Date and Kobito.[@Queenteze]@TheCrash20 Leaning forward between the two with a smirk, "Good luck guys," her tone warm with sincerity. Kiku looked at them both, and rocked back onto the balls of her feet - removing her glasses and looking towards the ground. They didn't really need luck, both talented Uchiha. Kiku held no resentment towards anyone in class, so she had no reason to not wish them luck.
She decided to tie back on her mask, maybe it'd make her 5'3" self more intimidating. Kiku placed her hands on her hips, quickly flicking her sensors on and assessing her possible enemies in the future. Some of the Iwa Chunin were most definitely going to be interesting, she turned her in the direction of the chakra sources that were intriguing her - breathing evenly, trying to silence the conversations that were ringing in her ears. Though the accent again came through, she turned her head and let out a click - the body's in the crowd becoming visible in her mind. She could sense Hime, Kurin, and an Iwa girl - she had apparently been drinking, Kiku chuckled as she kept her face turned towards the trio, listening .@Reflection@GlitchyBugger@Savato
【Appearance/Wardrobe】 Kiku has very long purple/lavender hair, with eyes a little lighter to compliment - hair color/eye color are a Clan Trait. She is slender, and stands at about 5'5" when she is an adult, and shorter than most in her youth.
On her time off, she is found to be modest and reserved. Usually wearing jeans, or black joggers and a black halter top - of course with her glasses. These are crucial to her failing eyesight, and she'll never be caught without them.
When fighting, she typically wears a mask - a tight black and purple dress with matching gloves and boots. Don't ask her she chose something so revealing, her answer usually is that's it 'breathable fabric'.
Kiku was a very disciplined child by her Clan, so this led to her being very quiet and observant when she got older. It wasn't until Konoha that she didn't have the pressure of her clan to live up to their expectations anymore, so she opened up and started making friends. She was still known for being a little quiet, and always having her nose in a book. But she was very energetic when it came to training, and group missions - she seemed to be the enforcer behind training in her squad.
In missions - Kiku thinks without emotion, and always obeys orders. It almost like she is a robot, and refuses to go against the orders of the current leader. She will do what needs to be done - regardless of who it leaves behind, or harms. One thing that seemed to carry over from her Clan was her disdain for those weaker than hers - she believes training to be the 'cure-all' essentially, and has no remorse for those who overlook this, and fail.
With opponents, she is very cold and silent - her wearing a mask as she fights only adds a bit more of a ominous factor. She doesn't believe in sharing words, or trying to find a common ground with enemies - just to merely finish the mission as was instructed to her.
Kiku is self-conscious about her eyes, as they seem to lighten every year she gets older. So don't be alarmed when she doesn't always look you right in the face to talk. She stands at about 5'5" and is also aware of how short she is, having a small complex about this as well.
To those that are good to her, she is great back too. Taking her bonds very seriously with her teammates, and fellow villagers. Kiku finds herself appreciating Konoha more in her late teen years, seeing that this place made her open up and live a happy life, one where she achieved her goal of becoming a Ninja. So she typically is a half-cup full kind of person.
【Special Traits】 * Primarily a Genjutsu user, well versed with Taijutsu for close range. * Very skilled in Sensory Techniques as its her Clan's special technique, going blind has heightened her other senses immensely. She is typically never frightened/surprised due to being able to hear/smell/detect someone near * Usually fights blindfolded, unless enemy is notable and challenging. * Studied bats and their echolocation abilities - and uses this knowledge/practice in her own "Blind-Fighting" Technique.

Name of Technique: Blind World Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu Rank: Range: Chosen Targets Nature Type: Earth Description: Activated when Eye-Contact is made with Kiku, her eyes lighten even more during this. This Genjutsu affects the users eyes, and can work quickly, or slowly. This depending on how Kiku is feeling about the fight. Over the duration of seconds or the fight, she will slowly have the opponents eyesight diminish, until their completely blind. Leaving them with all their other senses. To her, its fun to watch someone struggle with what is now becoming her life. This Genjutsu can be easily broken once the opponent realizes it they are under one. Not very effective, but is more of a toy move for Kiku.
Name of Technique: Echo Technique Type of Jutsu: Sensor Rank: B Range: 1 mile ahead. Not a 360 range. Nature Type: Earth Description:If you understand echolocation its essentially this, but she can also detect chakra's signals for up to a mile. This is a quick, and effective way to track an opponent ahead, or find users around. In doing this, she can also make a quick map of her surroundings in front of her. Helps her mainly at night. The clicks flow forward, and bounce off objects in front of her. In order for a 360 range, she'd have to do it 4 times North, East, South, and West for a more accurate reading of the perimeter around her.
Name of Technique: Kusarijutsu Type of Jutsu: Bukijutsu Rank: D Range: Chosen Targets Nature Type: Description: In this, she summons her Chained Daggers, connects them, and then throws them at intended target. The Daggers follow said user until contact is made, the chains wrapping around the opponent - and then diving into the ground holding them in place. Can be broken out of if user uses a technique to melt chains, bust chains, etc. Typically holds user in place until Kiku breaks jutsu - she can also command them to tighten or loosen.
Name of Technique: Hair Tracking Technique Type of Jutsu: Sensor Rank: B Range: Depends on how far affected persons runs. Nature Type: Water Description: Ripping out a few strands of hair, she fuses it with her chakra - and is able to throw it at opponent. The hair will tie itself into the fiber of their outter-most layer piece of clothing. Kiku is then able to track her own chakra. This is not always affective, sometimes she can miss when throwing it, the one being tracked removes the article of clothing, or the hair is removed. If affected person casts a jutsu to hide their chakra, her's will be masked as well because it is a very faint trail. In this being said, she must stay within 3 miles of the strand to track it.
Name of Technique: Sonic Boom Type of Jutsu: Sensor Rank: C Range: Users it's directed at, up to 100 ft. Nature Type: Yin Description: By clicking her tongue, and applying more chakra, she can make a loud clicking boom sound that temporarily irritates opponent's eardrums. Enough time for her to escape, or even attack in some cases. Opponents typically affected for up to 10 seconds.
Name of Technique: Demonic Illusion: Chain bound to Hell Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu Rank: A Range: Users it's directed at. Nature Type: Yin Description: By opponent looking into her eyes, she paralyzes them and they start to slowly imagine chains wrapping around their body. A void opens under them, slowly dragging them to 'hell' - depending on the utmost fear drawn from the subconscious is what the opponent will see.
Name of Technique: Petrification <-Shimizu Clan Technique Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu Rank: C Range: Affected User Nature Type: Yin Description: By simply staring into her eyes, the user is paralyzed - while their body 'turns' into stone. Simply stuck in their mind and unable to move, until they can break free. Depending on skill of other user, depends on how long they will be trapped in their own mind.
Name of Technique: Hymn of War <-Shimizu Clan Technique Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu Rank: B Range: Users within 500 ft. Nature Type: Yin Description: Upon entering the Shimizu clan Complex, there are two warriors standing guard. These are two brothers - and that's a tale for another time. As she places the opponent under this Genjutsu - they begin to hear a hum in the air, sounds like men singing - soon a pounding on the ground ensues. These voices continue to double, triple, and it sounds like a mass of warriors are heading towards the opponent - this plays on the users emotions as they hear them from every direction but are unseen. Can draw an opponent to madness if opponent is weak minded.
September 23rd, 2030, is when the attack happened....
At Approx 1626 EST, a giant swirling lightning filled black portal opened up above every Continent. Each one reporting in the same Phenomenon, mere minutes after each other. At 1943 EST, the portals slowly began to produce beings. Demons. They came in different shapes, and sizes - grotesque beings. Some spit acid, others tore humans apart with their claws, the more people screamed the crazier they went it seemed. They filled each country, and state - mutilating all humans. In a matter of 2 hours, 70% of the worlds population had been wiped out. Cities, and towns were destroyed all over the world. The portal disappeared, leaving behind plenty of demons with its closing. Humanity fell that day, many of the survivors screamed at God - begging, asking why this horror would find its way to Earth. Other survivors accepted it, and evolved with the new desolate world. Throughout the years, times have been very rough on humanity. Demons still ruled the earth, scavenging on the survivors they could find. Now it was like a game with the population dwindling even further as every day, week, and month passed. It is now 200 years later, and Humanity seems to be rising again. Around 100 years ago, there was an established Civilization that rose and began to prosper - Sanctuary. Around the time of its rise, there was a rise of a demon-fighting Vanguard, the Guardians. They set up establishments to the North, East, West, and South of Sanctuary. What began as mere hundreds of people in between the rise of Sanctuary, and the Guardians has now risen to thousands between the two. Sanctuary itself houses over 1000 human survivors, and over 300 in its outer village as of today. Some colonists have gotten brave with time and moved outside the Village walls - establishing their own settlements/tribes mere miles from Sanctuary. All doing trades, and cohabitating with each other in this new world. With human numbers increasing, this has been seen as the 'Rise of Humanity,' and many are wanting to continue fighting to destroy every trace of demons. And with attacks frequenting on the Mountain Village, its a good thing this Rise is influencing many of the villagers. Sanctuary operates from a King, King Dominick, who has so far been chosen based off of Lineage - the first King, King Gerard Nouvelle was his Grandfather, and his father King Marcus - who died an early death as he went to battle protecting the Outer Village from immense demonic attack. It was during King Marcus's reign that a new era started, and that era was the bonding, and cohabitating of Halfbreed Demons, and Humans. He started a very small settlement for halfbreeds before his death, believing that humans and halfbreeds could work together and live in harmony. He also knew that these halfbreeds possessed powers, and it was better to be on their good side. After his death, King Dominick took reign at Age 19, which many weren't happy with the youngster taking the crown so soon. But he has carried on his fathers legacy, upheld his morals, and has made Sanctuary a much most bustling place in the past 41 years of his reign. Since it has been 200 years since the fall of the 'Modern World,' humanity took a giant step back technologically. And has reverted back to a Medieval era of living, no electricity to be found, No A/C to keep you cool. But this is all normal to those who have been born in the past 200 years to this Apocalyptic way of life. Though now, there have been small breakthroughs as literature is being discovered advancing the movement and basic electronics are being worked on to hopefully expand humans way of life. In Sanctuary, you are expected to contribute to the whole by being given a job. Some Villagers are born into jobs from business' their parents own. After schooling, which ends around age 12, others are placed in jobs chosen by the King and his Advisors. But at age 10, everyone is evaluated to see if they are fit to be apart of the Guardians. Those who are chosen, are sent away immediately. You can volunteer for the Guardians around age 16 again, but you will be reevaluated by different standards set by the King. Sanctuary is a very interesting place, which could be seen as something out of a futuristic novel. Halfbreeds roam the streets, and work among us - many villagers don't mind, but there are plenty that also don't agree with these laws. As is there a disturbance in the halfbreed community, many find themselves happy to be living a seemingly normal human life, others angry at the majority of humans for various reasons. Where will you find yourself in Sanctuary?
SETTING:
Sanctuary is located deep within the European mountains, only 256 miles from the Eastern Coast. It sits about 1/4th of a mile from a waterfall, and this water flow unground into Sanctuary - supplying fresh water in reservoirs that have been built around accordingly for use. Located on a mountain overlook meters above the outer village is a red arch, that allows vagabonds to know their search is over - or help villagers find their way home. In order to get into Sanctuary, you must past through the first outer gate into the outer town known as Fora - and then inside the only known Entrance into Sanctuary. The woods around Sanctuary are thick with life, and artifacts from the past. Villagers are allowed to explore the woods, and mountainsides - but it is at their own risks, and there have been some that have never returned. The forest seems to always be giving in the Spring and Summer times, which is when Sanctuary flourishes with Villagers preparing for Winter. The winters can be very harsh, and sometimes even the Villagers of Fora find themselves behind the Mountain walls. Nefnast, the Halfbreed town, is located SouthWest a 1/2 mile from the Fora's Entrance, and the Gardens are located 1/4th mile East from the outer Fora's Entrance. Guards are on constant duty, surveying the area - and escorting gardeners, Halfbreeds, humans in between Sanctuary, Nefnast, and the Gardens.
Electricity is currently being worked on, and hopefully a way will be found to install it throughout the mountain - and begin changing life for Villagers.
Stairs are all the way to the East wing, spiraling down. In the farthest Northern room is the bath hall. East/South halls extend out to resident housing. Expanding meters under ground housing the 1,000+ residents whom choose to live within the cave walls. West Wing is where shops/bars can be found.
A small town housing about 300+ residents whom choose to live outside of the mountain dwellings. These villagers all live out here by choice, and this town is treated almost as its own. It has a town square for bartering, bars, shops, an inn, blacksmith, stables, a small farm and more businesses. There is only one entrance into Sanctuary, and it lies in this town - when there are attacks two giant stone wheels are rolled in front of the entrance. Villagers who are unable to make it inside the village before it closes, are left to fend for themselves outside the mountain walls.
Nefnast is Located a half mile away from the entrance of Sanctuary. It could be described as a cleaner shanty town, due to the residents tending to it more through the years. Houses close to 100 halfbreeds that have been accepted by the King - which many survivors are not in favor of housing/working with them. Nefnast is guarded by guards handpicked by the King himself - those he know whom will not treat Halfbreeds unfairly. The guards have constant watch over the perimeter due to spiteful villagers, Tier 3 demons ignore the small village. Halfbreeds are able to roam around freely around Tier 3 demons, this in turn has led them to be able to bring far more items from the older world - more scrap metals for building up their homes. Some have been begun to delve into technology of the past, learning the workings, and learning to read. Villagers of Nefnast frequent Sanctuary, coming to trade or work with business' that allow halfbreeds to work with them. Nefnast also is a community itself, having businesses, a bar, and more - some halfbreeds stay here, never visiting Fora or Sanctuary. Other Halfbreeds commute frequently between the human filled mountain, and their shanty town.
Guardian Outposts
These outposts are located approx. 60-100 miles North/East/West/South of Sanctuary. Each outpost extends under ground for housing for the Guardians. Northern outpost is covered in Snow throughout the year. Eastern outpost, which is closer to the sea, is constantly showered with rain and high constant humidity. Western and Southern outposts have fair temperature's, rain is light to mild, more habitable for humans, many Guardians hope to be stationed at these two outposts.
Tiers of Demons:
3
> These demons resemble animals, if they were chopped up, and reassembled together. They're rather grotesque, and mindless. Seeming to run only on the instinct to kill any humans that come across their paths, usually exhibit rage towards humans. Cannot communicate with humans. Seen more frequently. Can be easily killed by severing head, or destroying the brain/heart. Have been seen ranging in sizes from Rabbits, to 10-feet high. May travel in packs, or alone. Have not been seen to exhibit any powers, just merely animalistic tendencies.
2
> Where Half-breeds fall into place. More intelligent, but still have demon characteristics (horns, animalistic eyes, claws, scales, tails, height difference). Tier 2 demons are able to communicate with humans, and some have formed bonds with villages to live a life as normal as possible. These demons are the children of a demon and human partnership, or a Tier 3 demon experiment gone wrong. These demons can be killed by destroying the brain/hear, though it has been found Halfbreeds seem to be immortal until one of these two acts are done to them. Cannot shapeshift, retain human/demon form at all time.
1
> These demons appear to be more godly in essence. All other demons submit/subject to these beings though, since Tier 2's express their own train of thought they have been known to detest. Their sightings are very rare. Have been known to shapeshift, and possess immense power. Not much known due to lack of sightings, and run-ins. Not playable characters.
The Guardians:
>When the 1st decided King the placement for the new Human Settlement 'Sanctuary', he also decided there should be in essence a 'Big Brother' watching over Sanctuary, as well as the settlements outside of Sanctuary. King Gerard Nouvelle. He was a noble man, who died honorably of old age - set many of the rules and precedents Villagers still follow today. > The Guardians are chosen at age 10, the King then decides which children should be sent West to begin their training. Children who are picked are forced to leave Sanctuary at age 10, where they remain till age 18. They are chosen merely through the King watching each child go through a basic set of tasks established by the King. Those who pass with flying colors are immediately chosen. > After returning at age 18, young recruits are allowed to stay at home for a few months before their next orders come in. >Many Guardians choose a life of solitude since relationships have been seen as ineffective due to their possible untimely deaths, and their stays at home are very short lived. > The Guardians are all cloaked in man-made armor, a red sash is tied around their waists with a demonic-esque eye on the bottom of the sash. All Guardians adorn this one unifying piece of clothing. > Guardians almost seem to lack emotion, but are very loyal to the King, and their higher authorities, following through with every order despite the outcome. > Guardians are guaranteed a week home every 10 weeks. >Thanks @Bishop for this idea.
Possible Playable Characters:
These are just characters, or I guess NPC's - if anyone wants to play as them - here are some relevant to Sanctuary. You are open to creating your own villager, vagabond, halfbreed, or Guardian.

She also oversees Gardening, shops, kitchen, and the stock/supply/rationing. Helps King choose Teachers/Gardeners/Kitchen Staff/etc. +Goran - King's Advisor. Young man in his late 20's. Is the Gaurdians/Warriors Commander. All orders from him are final, unless King Dominick says other wise. He helps the King choose new recruits for The Guardians, as well as basic soliders/hunters/etc. Very headstrong man. Does not like the King's choice of befriending Halfbreeds. + East/West/North/South Guardian Chief - I've made no names, or personalities for them. Kinda up to you, still PM me though.
