As it so turns out RPGuild is not dead and neither am I! However I have lost both of my personal devices recently so I am unable to say how I'll be able to keep up with this site if at all. I'm sorry.

Bio

Hey, you! Welcome to my Basic Member Page!
I know, I know. Impressive. Please remove your jaw from the floor, your drool is staining my virtual carpet. Japes aside, seeing as you're still reading, I suppose I'll introduce myself.

My name's Tiye, and I've been role-playing on & off again for about 3 years now; originally with a few close friends, chat rooms here & there, but I mostly stuck with creative writings of own. Now I'm looking for more of a community. Some things about me: I'm a Black, 17 year old, agenderflux (they/she pronouns) teen who errs on the side of intrigue, and enjoys long walks by the beach. I've also been known to have a penchant for humor, but I don't know who started that vile rumor. If you find them, they're wanted dead or alive.

So yeah, that's me. How about you? Don't be afraid to pm or message, I only bite when I'm hungry or bigots are nearby. Either way, have a good one :)

Edit: sorry, didn't mean to send the message yet

Ah okay.
So like in that last fight, it would have been: Anusobeket gets a -50% modifier, thus effectively canceling her STAB for the next turn?
Sounds good to me boss!
Does this also mean that moves that Raise a Stat and Deal Damage like Power-Up Punch would deal damage and just add the effects on the next turn only then? Or would it be like healing moves and be cut 50/50?

What about Multi-Hit attacks?
@Cerces22
Lol, well now I know how she must have felt being taken down by a status move

Rin had never seen a larva move so fast before, but in the blink of an eye the Fire Type fled from Anu's Water Gun and launched its own counter-attack. In the form of String Shot no less! Not only blocking the Water Type's vision, but Anusobeket's mouth was also quickly stopped up. As well as her face. Then her arms. Legs too! "Anu," Rin cried out as soon the Totodile was almost indistinguishable from a Silcoon. Her one exposed eye was swirly from having fainted, and so her trainer's grimace became one of concern and defeat. As Rin began clawing away at the stringy binds that held their starter, the Larvesta fled. "Dammit," they muttered under their breath after whipping their head around just in time to see The Torch Pokémon leave. "I wanted to start off today with a win, but," Gerseti shuffled awkwardly as Rin paused having finally freed the fainted pokémon. "I couldn't give that to you. I'm sorry. You did your best." Rin dusted off the last few strands of String Shot that remained. Holding her in their arms, Rin returned her to her pokéball. "Rest well, champ. Hopefully we'll be in Sunsay by the time you wake up." Rin turned to Gerseti with a half-grin. "You want some breakfast?"

With that, Rin proceeded to heading back to camp where Olotah and Osajyin had been patiently waiting; Olo entertaining himself with a seashell he'doesn't found, and Osaja still soaking up the sun's rays. Thankfully for the pokémon, Rin's older sister Yeri had gifted them a box of assorted poffins on New Year's Eve. Thankfully for Rin, their other sister Umi had acutely taped a small chart to the back of the box explaining the relationship between Pokémon Natures and Poffin Preferences. It took awhile to work out seeing as Rin couldn't really gage if Osajyin was Docile, Mild, Quiet, Calm, Gentle, Relaxed, or Lax . . . (finding the difference between the last two had taken well over half an hour), but after some trial and error, everything sorted itself out, and Rin learned a lot from the experience. Especially on the exact distiction between queasy green and Osaja's naturally yelow-green. Following breakfast, they all helped pack away camp. Well, as much as two quadrupeds could actually help pack, but in the end the beach was left as spotless as when they'd first seen it; all of it stowed back into their rucksack from home or their backpack from Professor Eugene. At some point their Pokédex lit up, indicating a message from Liz, but Rin was too caught up in cleaning to notice. While Rin wasn't really the nit-picking type, they still had nightmares about falling into their sister Kairi's abysmally deep pile of dirty clothes when they were four. So to say the incident had taught them the moral of picking up after yourself would be an understatement.

| January 2nd, Late Morning |

One binder, two hearing aids, three layers of warm clothing, four strapped-in pokéballs, and five attempts at a cheesy speach later and Rin was back on the main road between Zurest and Sunsay. Wind at their back and their goal ahead of them, Rin confidently marched forward. They'd definitely made a lot of progress yesterday through all of their ill-advised running, but with all of their backtracking Rin just hoped they could get to Sunsay before sunset. They probably could, but Rin's perception of travel time was greatly skewed by having only taken a ferry between far distances before. Rin had never walked this far from home in their life. It was exciting though! One never knew what they'd encounter, and the possibilities were endlessly growing with each step they took. Would they bump into a trainer? Would they stumble across a Legendary? Would nothing hinder their journey forward at all? Rin didn't know, and that was the best part of it all. This was an adventure! They were a Pokémon Trainer! This was everything they've ever dreamed of.

I was defeated . . . by String Shot . . . ? HOW MUCH MORE MUST YOU HUMBLE ME GREAT RNG DEITIES? HOW MUCH MORE?

@Balthazar007
I know you said Anu leveled up, but it's not listed under my Trainer Tab.
Also, quick questions: If I ever did use Rage (which Anu learned last level) or other removes like Power-Up Punch would those have any effect in this RP? Likewise, how would multi-hit attacks function?
Same here. I hope I can get an Eevee and Ditto, so that Rin can just retire and become a Pokémon Breeder, and live out the rest of their days on an Eeveelution Farm. That's the dream~♡

That is after I use a full team of Eeveelutions to beat the Elite 4! Lmao, that's true ending of this RP!!
@Cerces22
Then I'll be sure to return to Route 1 just to spite you and catch one first!

@Balthazar007
Looking forward to it now that I'm finally off of Day 1, lol! I think I'll be making a beeline to Sunsay after this fight, even though I'm no where close to being ready for the gym. Maybe I'll get a Pokémon Whistle while I'm there, so I can stop running into Level 15-18s every time

Rin was feeling pretty good as they dropped the Cheri Berries into their Berries Pouch. Paralysis had to be Rin's least favorite status effect. When it was used against them that is. They remembered just as many fond memories as they did irritating ones from battles involving the condition that had been waged with loan pokémon from the Zurest Trainer School. It also bugged them on a personal level, as Rin hated feeling trapped or held back. With that in mind Rin realized they needed to get going to Sunsay! It was still early so maybe they could beat Liz there. As Rin prattled off to Anusobeket about the perfect timing to jump out at Liz when she eventually made it the Pokémon Center, the hearing-aid-less trainer's dulled sense of hearing failed to alert them of the encroaching Larvesta.

Gerseti immediately picked up what his Trainer had not, and was a second away from Tackling them out of harm's way, when the Torch Pokémon shot an Ember right where Rin was going to take their next left step. Gerseti started backing away as Rin slowly turned around with a smile so hopeful and exuberant it looked painful. When Rin finished spinning on their right heel, they deflated and comically bent in half with disappointment. "Oh . . . I thought you were gonna be a Cyndaquil."

"Tota . . .", Anusobeket sounded just as discouraged. However the two snapped back up so fast it made Gerseti question if they'd prepared this reaction or if the the headstrong duo really were that in sync. Their personalities surely were.

"No matter! We may not be taking you with us, but we sure as heck will be taking you down!" With a dramatic point of their finger, which Gerseti was begining to think was the trainer's signature, Anusobeket fell from her place in Rin's arms and landed with a fierce glare at the wild pokémon. Gerseti could only back up further. This was looking a little too familiar. "Teach that Fire Type a lesson in manners! Use Water Gun!" And with that, the Big Jaw Pokémon opened wide with a harsh torrent of water.

NOOOOOOOOOO! I also love Larvesta! ;-; and the only pokémon I have that could come close to fighting it is ×4 weak to him... Lmao, whelp, here goes nothing!
@OliveYou
We've talked alot about this in PMs, so you already know that if my schedule clears, you can more than count me in for any of your future endeavors.
You were a lovely and gracious GM <3

@Cherrywitch
I will miss your humor, and you helping me tell the masses of Klullan. Seren will sorely miss their Tsundere King new friend Raph! who I may or may not have started shipping with Seren

If you ever wanna stay in touch, just drop me a PM :)

@Canidae@ReveTheDreamer
THE #KLULLAN SHIP WILL NEVER SINK IN MY HEART!
I WILL REMEMBER ALL OF THEIR PLATONIC MOMENTS AS ROMANTIC CHEMISTRY FONDLY!

-

@QueenNugget
Lmao, I had so many plans for Seren & Ashley to get closer, and for Seren to show/talk about how badass their sisters and mother are without turning into a man-hating, feminist charicture like she has and hopefully inspiring a lifestyle change outta her, but alas... it was not to be.
Funny character tho. :P

-

@AGenericUser
Talking about funny characters.. Lol, stay extra as hell, dude! The thematics and drama of Feine's posts never failed to make me smile, so thank you for that! I was hoping Seren could've learned a thing or too about confidence just by being near Feine's massive ego.
Maybe in another life Seren's getting that autograph though.. or at least I can imagine :)

-

@Insert Alias
Too bad Seren also couldn't have taken a page from Mikael's book about not giving a shit sometimes, but I suppose Seren can't worry about the school year anymore, lol.
May Mikael's arrogance always burn bright ;)

@pandapolio
It's a shame we didn't get to interact really, but I was looking forward to seeing how your Demi-God would interact with my Cambion. Atlan also made me snicker every time he was practically eating popcorn in the corner whenever drama went down, lol. At least our characters sort of got to meet in the end?

-

So to all of you: It was a great ridea while it lasted. Regardless of whether we've ever talked or not, I wish you the best with your future RPs, and look forward to seeing you all around on the forums here and there. If you ever see me, don't be afraid to @ me.

Rin wiggled underneath their pokémon as a strip of sunlight dragged across their eyes. They considered fighting their growing wakefulness, but the growingly familiar warble of a Furret brought them to full attention. Launching themself from their cuddle puddle, Rin smacked face first into the obviously closed tent door. Anusobeket laughed lazily as she rose from her sleep, and Olotah threw himself against the tent's wall assuming this must be a very important morning ritual for his Trainer; routine is very important to hone an artist's potential afterall, so Olotah easily respected their trainer's sticktoitiveness. Unsurprisingly, Osajyin slept through the debacle.

Zipping down the tent's entrance, Rin bolted out undeterred. "Come on, Gerseti! Fighting a Furret is like tradition for us!" Skidding a bit to slow themself down, Rin looked back at their Girafarig. He'd learned of his new nickname after Rin had thrown him from his pokéball shortly following being captured. Despite the lovely welcome, he was still a cautious pokémon, so he only meekly staggered out of the tent just enough to scan his surroundings. "Hey, don't fret. If you lose, you'll still be ahead of Anusobeket in terms of Furret fights." This earned sharp protest form the Big Jaw Pokémon, but Rin just smirked as he pulled her close. Rin wasn't intentionally teasing as it was the truth, but they knew how to play along; they nuzzled her into their side just to give her a playfully light noogie. The two's giggling appeared to be infectious as the little scene inspired a small smile from Gerseti who finished stepping out the tent, allowing the naively curious Olotah to walk around the beach; Osajyin not far behind him.

"That's it, bud! Let's go check out those noises." While Rin, Anu, and Geri would quickly discover Cheri Berries to be the only trace left of the source of the noise, Olotah was off splashing in the shallow water and enjoying being so close to the waters they'd been drawing just yesterday. Osajyin bathed in the morning sun, and held his eyes closed, totally unaware of any possible threats that may have taken notice of his younger brother's playing. That is, if something didn't pop out his Trainer first!
