Oh yeah, for anyone trying to think of a way to get their characters into the game, I'm also looking for an in for Subaru. I'd rather not get into another combat scene, but a social one somewhere else in Yggdrasil might be cool if anyone is interested.
@ Prostagma: Oh, sorry, by TSAB I meant the Time-Space Administration Bureau, the organisation from Nanoha. Anyway, I'm also a fan of that sort of "enemies team up against a bigger threat" story, especially if it results in co-operation down at the agent level.
Regarding side-factions: If you wanted to say that they are actually are a multiversal agency, you could flesh out the TSAB as a UMMA-friendly side faction. As for original factions, hmm... maybe some sort of religious group that believes that each world in the multiverse has a fragment of some sort of ur-scripture hidden in its own legends. Their goal would be to spread their own faith as wide as possible, so that they could find more fragments. They could be friendly or a bit to overzealous, depending on how you want to swing it.
Maybe Vita hasn't had the time or energy to go over them properly? I know that I usually go way more than five hours at a time unable to just post for a character. Vita's got to move the story forward in 3-4 locations, respond to player questions and evaluate signups. The interest check thread can be a bit chaotic too (I'm partially to blame there, I can admit, I contribute to the discussions there sometimes). Have a little patience, guys =/
Name: Subaru Nakajima Age: 16 Gender: Female. Appearance: Barrier jacket, Uniform Canon, AU, or OC?: Canon Universe of Origin: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (from some time after Sound Stage X) Personality: A boisterous and cheerful tomboy with a with a strong drive for self-improvement and a genuine desire to help others. Subaru is a hot-blooded and determined fighter who puts 100% of herself into whatever she's put her mind to, and who isn't afraid of hardship or pain if it means achieving her goals. She is a straightforward and honest soul, and tends to take things too personally when her efforts to help others fail. Abilities/Weapons: Mach Caliber: Subaru's Intelligent Device, a sentient magical AI built into a set of powered roller-blades. She assists Subaru with the casting of her spells and improves her magical efficiency, while also providing her with transport and tactical advice (as well as generally being a good friend). When not in use she reverts to her standby form, a blue crystal pendant. Revolver Knuckle: Subaru's second Device, non-sentient this time, taking the form of a large armoured gauntlet with two counter-rotating gears. Set above the the wrist is a revolver-like cylinder that is loaded with special cartridges filled with concentrated magic. These can be fired off to dramatically boost Subaru's mana pool. Half of a pair once worn by Subaru's dead mother, Revolver Knuckle is Subaru's main weapon. Magic: Subaru's magic style is a lot more in-your-face than other mages. Full spell list can be found here, but in general she uses magically-enhanced punches and mid-to-short-ranged shockwave attacks. Also notable is Wing Road, a mobility spell that creates a magical path through the air, allowing her to effectively fly using her roller-blades. Barrier jacket: Magical armour that provides Subaru with a substantial increase in durability. Can be summoned and un-summoned at will. Combat Cyborg implants: As a cyborg, Subaru is stronger and more durable than a normal human. Actually activating her implants increases her strength and durability even further, and also allows her to use her Inherant Skill Vibration Shatter, a powerful shockwave attack specifically designed to damage electronic equipment. Backstory: Subaru was born, or more accurately, created as part of a clandestine project to develop powerful cyborg soldiers, cloned from the stolen DNA of an elite mage and implanted with cybernetics at an early age. Luckily, the facility where she and her older sister Ginga were made was raided by the Time-Space Administration Bureau, and the pair were rescued and adopted by a kindly mage - the very same woman they had been cloned from. After this the pair lived a fairly normal life, until a turning point came when she was 11 years old. She was caught in a fire while visiting her father, and was saved by Captain Nanoha Takamachi, the TSAB Air Force's Ace of Aces. She found herself in awe of this powerful, unshakable woman, and was ashamed that all she'd been able to do herself was cry. This, along with the earlier death of her mother, inspired Subaru to make more of herself. Striving to emulate her hero, she joined the TSAB and became a mage. She was eventually recruited into a newly formed special unit and served under Nanoha herself, working to uncover and foil a plot that had roots in the same project that created her (Yes, this is an enormously abridged version of the events of StrikerS. More details are up in the wiki link above). Presently, her career has continued its upwards climb - she joined an elite disaster response and rescue unit, and is regularly rotated into service with the UMMA. Faction: UMMA
Blake, outside the Passenger Area, UMMA Vessel Tanngrisnir
Blake lowered her pistol slightly as the girl seemed to pause. "Whoever it is you're looking for, storming a UMMA ship is only going to get you arrested or killed. If you told us who you-" Blake's eyebrows knitted slightly in frustration and suspicion as she was cut off by the appearance of the second girl. "What? We're not-" Blake's protests didn't get far as the pigtailed girl charged. In a blink, a shadow clone separated from the black-clad agent and darted forward towards to meet the charge, blades crossed defensively in front of it. Blake herself jumped backwards, returning her pistol to its sword form with a flick of her wrist. She knew the clone would flicker out as soon as it was hit - the idea was to gauge what they were dealing with and buy them a few seconds. "Wait! We haven't 'taken' anyone!"
Believe me, I'm going to be ending the fights that I am directly involved in as soon as it makes sense IC. ^^; I hardly want this RP to be endless combat. That's not very fun and it's also difficult to GM.
I, for one, am right with you there. Combat can be fun, but I tend to enjoy characters interacting socially even more.
What about social fighting?
If you mean stuff like arguing, that is also fun :P
Nope, actual fighting. Socially. :D
So... fight-dates?

OK, I guess it's probably time that I pulled out, since I've done nothing but procrastinate to the point where I have no idea what is going on any more. >.<
If you're feeling lost there's no shame in asking for a recap or some advice. Still, if you feel like leaving that's your decision ^^

I usually don't get involved in power comparison debates, because none of the things I follow have these sort of power levels. Actually... Hey Vita can I play as this lady? :D
MINE.
Who is it?
The Will of the Book of Darkness, AKA Reinforce Eins. The sentient control program of an ancient magical artifact that regularly destroys planets if left unchecked. She's actually pretty cool, because "world destroying" isn't her proper job, the Book is just supposed to be a harmless spell library. But some asshole in ancient times corrupted her into a magical WMD and she has no choice but to carry out the instructions of either whatever tool is her master at the time or her overzealous and trigger-happy defense program. I think she's the most powerful character in the nanoha universe? Maybe? Some of the Saint Kings or the unbridled bullshit that are Dividers might count too.
