Aight. I s'pose I can keep myself aweake for another 45 minutes or so.
I was hoping to get a post in after work before I went to sleep, but unless cook posts soon I'm visiting the sandman without the writin'.
I'm not going to have a character up tonight. I'm bloody exhausted. Though I will ask how someone who was imprisoned for killing five or six teenagers or men who were beating on someone would fit into the story.
Monkey like

Carter chuckled softly at the young captain, twisting the shovel in his hand. "yes, we could very well 'unlock' it with this, but... I'd like to avoid the crash, but yes... The two of us should be able to kill quite a few with melee provided they're spaced out..." He looked back toward the motel when Greg did, nodding with acknowledgement as the horde slowly grew. "Yes, yes... They're making quite the ruckus aren't they?"

When the other gave his advice and told Carter to lead the way, he couldn't help but snicker at it. He was taking command... Very admirable, and he was being smart. The colonel laid a hand on Greg's shoulder and gave him a weak smile, hoping to steel the officer's shakiness. "I've been dealing with these beasts longer than you have... I know my way around them, and... Relax. We're in a bad spot, but when it's your time to go, it's your time to go... But I'm sure we'll both be making sure you get out of this alive. Keep your head, stay calm, and do your best not to panic. That's what gets men like us killed more than anything else." With an encouraging smile, he took a deep breath and advanced toward the motel, using parked cars and whatever cover he could find to make it behind the motel.

awesomesauce
That's disappointing... Clock was viewing the thread and then left without a post. :c
Ah, my bad. I didn't think to check that. So... He wouldn't have been under Carter's command. Under a marine officer's, but they'd have probably met already. And as far as Horace's adventures go...

Carter would ignore the knife, already knowing Horace's level of aggression. Though the disobeying orders to attack, he'd tell him that if he planned anything like that, to talk to him. If it was tactically sound and safe for the men, it could be conducted.
yes. Who else? :P Your guy's bio said he was in the marines. Unless... I read the wrong one. I'll double check.

Edit: Checked, and that is indeed what his rather brief background said.
