Viral was willing to listen to Takeshi without attacking him if only to see if he would ever be able to make up for it, like whether he was ever going to be able to put up a good defence and if not he would just go ahead and start beating him into the ground once more. Takeshi had a knack for being selfish and if he was going to be selfish with this then Viral had no reason to listen. To be constantly thought of as the one who was only good at fighting was pretty infuriating, like that was all he was good at. He saw no reason to give him a crap about Takeshi until he explained himself, telling him why he thought of him as a friend if all he wanted to do was fight him. He had become sick of it, sick of always being seen as something to have a fight with and only good for such a task.
Staring down at Takeshi he continued to glare at him, narrowing his eyes as everything just sounded like he was trying to avoid confrontation so far. It was sounding typical at this point, like he was trying to make excuses for his actions. Staring at him he narrowed his eyes briefly before looking confused, not exactly understanding what Takeshi was getting at. It wasn’t that he often gave Takeshi help, probably because he had been mainly shut off with Takeshi not really talking to him anyway. Already starting to get mad again at Takeshi’s excuses he was about to cut off this pointless babble until Takeshi decided to point at him, confusing him rather quickly.
As Takeshi decided it was time to spill his guts out Viral couldn’t help but stare in mild confusion. So he admired him in a sense, but that didn’t explain why he never bothered talking to him or showing much care other than for his fighting health. Huffing a little bit he slowly folded his arms, staring at him as he continued before eventually frowning, looking away. Seemed this was the long apology that Takeshi had been holding back on for a long time now. Feeling a little frustrated that he had waited so long he soon growled and looked back. “So asking only if I was well enough to fight or train was your way of expressing it? And you wonder why you anger me”, he grunted, shaking his head and turning slightly, “It’s comments like that which make me wonder if there’s anything more to me than fighting. I’m sure you know what it’s like to think your purpose in life is for battle and nothing more; however, you’ve never needed to worry about feeling obsolete. I may be able to beat you in a fist fight, but if you cared to unleash your full power I would stand no chance. Your incessant behaviour constantly nails in how I will always earn the participation award and never be the winner”.
