Shu wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do other than forget that he was in the jungle struggling to survive for so many years, he should be looking to the now instead of the past. He didn’t think there was a reason why he should be looking to the past, but he still kept doing it over again whenever something happened that reminded him of it. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do about all that other than distract himself from it, try to think about the good stuff and have fun while being happy. “No guns…no guns! Okay, I believe you…” Hearing the suggestion for lunch was definitely something he was pleased with, he was happy enough to have lunch now and get his friend T’charrl sat down. His friend didn’t look too good wobbling around by himself like that so getting him sat down and given food was definitely going to be a big plus.

Viral was fairly worn out after all of that, knowing he was already pretty low on energy in the first place. He still wasn’t eating fully or sleeping properly so using a lot of energy all at one time to take down the building was completely draining. He didn’t want to admit that he was weakened, it wasn’t like they could sense it from him anyway. Keeping to himself when everyone seemed to had decided on food he continued along quietly with very little care towards what they were getting. He was feeling rather weary and it wasn’t pleasant with everything feeling like a chore, even the process of dusting himself off feel like wasted energy. He was really starting to wonder when the sun would kick in and wake him up. He was going to leave the carrying of the food to Takeshi and Yumi this time, feeling like he couldn’t trust himself with the food.

T’charrl had been struggling secretly the entire way, even with the help. He didn’t know how to properly help himself without floating along in a weird fashion but even then he would be using Ki and valuable energy to get moving. He was sore and with the medicine starting to wear off he was getting rather wobbly and continued to have a good struggle with keeping on his feet. He wasn’t a candidate to carry the food so helping the others was out of the question. Once they finally settled down T’charrl took his time getting down into a sitting position before letting out a long sigh once he was down. Watching as the food was opened up and handed out he smiled, looking to Yumi who took an interest in helping him eat. He didn’t really know what this food was, the smell certainly did make him feel hungry but what they appeared to be enjoying the most was something he hadn’t touched before. He had seen them eat it, but having it himself wasn’t something he particularly tried himself. “Is that this fish that Takeshi said? I don’t think I’ve had it before”, he smiled before taking the fish from her. He couldn’t really smell it all that well so he couldn’t tell if it was going to be bad for him, but nonetheless he was going to try it. Nibbling at it at first he soon properly ate at it, giving his head a quick shake before he smiled happily. “That is a weird taste! It kind of tastes like I remember it smelling like.

Viral was just sitting at the table without caring about the food that was there, even though he was staring at it quite plainly. He had other things on his mind, everything that was his existence was taking up his thought process as well as how tired he was feeling. He didn’t know how to handle that and just wanted to keep awake, he didn’t want to end up falling asleep and looking like an idiot while everyone ate. He probably should eat, he was told to by everyone that he was supposed to try eating more to get over his need to reject it. Watching as everyone else was having a good time eating he frowned in disappointment, looking back to the table as he slowly put his paws under the table and let out a deep sigh. He was trying hard to not look affected by anything, he didn’t want to end up looking like a fool in front of everyone.
Shu frowned, shaking his head a little before sighing. “People shot at us a lot. I don’t know why, I didn’t understand what they were saying back then”, he spoke softly, raising his shoulders, “I think they wanted me the most”. Shu didn’t know why they were wanting to do such a thing, he couldn’t even remember what they looked like or what their vehicles looked like. Despite it being only a few years ago now he could still remember it fairly clearly, all except what they looked like and any other minor details that might identify them. At the time he wasn’t concerned with such details, it wasn’t in his nature to be. Shu didn’t know if anything would change now that he was gone from the jungle, but he did hope everyone was safe now that he wasn’t with them causing all sorts of trouble.

Viral was unaware of Yumi’s presence as she rushed over to him, swinging the hammer back slightly before it was yanked out of his hands and thrown away. Turning slightly, he looked to his hands at first before to Yumi, staring at her briefly as he frowned. He didn’t understand why he wouldn’t be okay, it was just a building and he had took it down. Turning to look at the others who soon came into view he gave a fairly long stare at Takeshi before looking to the Uuonians who decided to show their faces. It wasn’t so much he offered to do it as much as Takeshi insisted they’d do it, he was just along for it because Takeshi thought it was a good idea. Letting out a brief groan he slowly rubbed his head, feeling rather dizzy. This was already annoying, but he didn’t have the patience or energy to get angry at them this time. He just wanted to get out of here before things got to be a little too busy with all the blaming and accusations. Taking a few steps away from Yumi he paused when he saw June making a climb over the rubble, staring at her for a moment before sighing. “First you don’t want lunch, then you want lunch…” he grumbled, deciding to move around and off the other end of the collapsed structure, “And what’s that supposed to mean, ‘whatever I’d like to do’? I’m getting real tired of having to make all the decisions…”
Link glanced over at Caelan, sighing heavily before shaking his head. “I didn’t mean it for real! I just don’t know what we’re supposed to do to get in without being horribly injured and possibly killed…” Really if that could be done he would be alright with it. The Castle always stood as a strange seat of power and it was probably full of evil people anyway so there shouldn’t be any harm in destroying the place to get what they wanted. If they were unable to get to the Princess that way then there was definitely a great underestimation of the power the evil beings within held. It was mostly just a case of Link feeling rather fed up at this point too, like everything that would go wrong was probably going to happen because of some minor mistake.

Sneaking inside sounded pretty good compared to what he suggested, but he wasn’t experienced with sneaking so mistakes could easily be made regarding that instead. He was the adopted son of a blacksmith, he was used to being heavy and fumbling all over the place while making a lot of noise. Being silent and not the clumsy idiot he often was might be a little difficult, it certainly continued to remain a wonder as to why people had faith in him when it came to sneaking around. Caelan and Regol could probably do it solo without being spotted.

Feeling a little discouraged about the mission he watched as the salesman moved over to some masks, taking the strange designs off their shelf and showing them briefly. The orange light wasn’t the only thing that startled him, the designs did too as he couldn’t help but feel a little freaked out by them. Listening to him as he talked about their purpose and use he made a glance to Caelan, wondering what he thought about them before gasping when he instead saw a Templar Knight in the salesman’s place. Startled for a second, the moment the mask was removed he opened his mouth briefly, looking like he was going to comment on something before he instead frowned. Well that was oddly disturbing, but he certainly wasn’t going to comment too much about it when they still had a job to do. So long as the masks worked then he was going to have to be content. Taking the bag from him he briefly looked inside before sighing, nodding. “It’s her I’m worried about…yeah. I’ve heard the others won’t be on high alert. I just hope I can pretend I’m a Templar Knight well enough…” Keeping the bag at his side carefully he turned to the door, staring at it at first before he made his way to it. “I guess maybe see you later if we live. We need to get the supplies back to Demoko…”
Viral had managed to completely tear down the building in what was effectively the equivalent of taking a hammer to chalk, destroying most of its structure all while managing to remain unharmed. Despite being unharmed, Viral was covered in debris from the building as he stood on top, staring down at the rubble as the dust began to settle. It was this sort of thing that he was supposed to specialise in, the destruction of everything around him. In any other instance he would be called a monster for being able to cause such a massive amount of damage with little effort in such a short amount of time, but the people he knew would of course praise him for it. That was the reality of it all, that he was going to end up having to go down the destructive path no matter what.

Despite feeling worn down after that he didn’t quite know where to go now, only feeling the need to continue his destruction. Raising the hammer as the dust began to settle he lazily started throwing the hammer down at various piles, watching as the rubble shifted and crumbled under the most minor force. He wasn’t feeling angry anymore, he was just disappointed that his fate was obviously leading to the destructive path. Everything he knew had to do with destroying, he knew he had been made for the destruction of others so it only made sense. With his weariness settling in and his anger disappearing the constant swinging of his hammer became lazy, showing little effort and yet he was still managing to pummel the rocks into dust.

Shu didn’t understand much of what was going on, only that he knew Takeshi had taken Viral to a collapsing building. He didn’t want it to end up with one of them getting crushed like T’charrl and while Takeshi was out the fact that the building collapsed while Viral was still over there only made him even more worried. Squeaking lightly he covered his ears momentarily, frowning as he looked up at Takeshi. “Ooohhh…I-I’ve heard many guns before, many after me and my clan…” he mumbled, lowering his head and raising his shoulders, “B-But that’s not important! Is Mister Viral okay? He might hurt himself!”
Shu didn’t understand many of the morals and lessons that were supposed to had been taught to him when he was a little kid, or at least he didn’t understand quite why he had missed out on them at a younger age to properly understand them. He was still raised by someone and even then he was only taught how to eat, where he should sleep, what to fight off and who to keep away from. Every other social cue came when he was growing up and just either learned or was told how he should be acting by the people who took him out of the jungle. June was the only mother he had come across that was a Human, even the couple that took him in didn’t have any kids. Listening to her he didn’t really understand what she meant about life, he always saw every outcome as only good or bad, there was no in-between. “Not think bad…to have good? But then bad happen because want good, I thought…” he spoke, trying to think about it before letting out a squeak at the noise before immediately pressing against Yumi, hoping she could block out the loud noises that was just reminding him of bad times.

T’charrl had other problems regarding the situation and what was happening, mainly due to his health. He was still struggling to recover and even though he was up and about he was still not close to being normal. He didn’t really know what would happen to him when he was better, whether he would be a stronger soul coming out of it or he would have to go straight back to his struggles again. Probably the stress of that would be making his head feel worse, but he would need to be away from everyone to properly assess that to see if it would go away. Staring at Shu as Yumi tried to shield him from the noise of the building he frowned a little when Yumi was trying to help his discomfort, eventually turning the frown into a nervous smile as he rubbed his head. “Maybe I just need to eat more. I guess the noise doesn’t help either”, he spoke, wondering if it was about time he sat down again just in case he was going to faint, “I-I’m not complaining, I’m happy to be out, but uhh…I did hit my head pretty hard on the other planet…”

Viral was already annoyed by Takeshi’s whining, even though it was only once he had done so so far. If Takeshi was going to moan over a flake of wood in his skin then he shouldn’t be punching a building down thinking he was a big man. It certainly annoyed him when Takeshi tried to act tough only to get all wimpy over the silliest thing. “Tch! Knowing you have doesn’t give me confidence in you”. With the lack of confidence in Takeshi he decided it was up to him to get his frustration fully out and direct it onto the building. If he truly was a destructive being then he was going to test how far he could do with just a hammer. Takeshi using his fists was not comparable, Saiyans were often wild anyway.

Watching as Takeshi decided to remove himself from the building he waited until he was gone before deciding the fate of the building, raising the hammer before dropping off out the building. Swinging the hammer around at first he soon burst forward, throwing his hammer at the building’s wall causing a shockwave across the building’s wall. Without wasting time he dashed around to the other side of the building, jumping up and doing the same repeatedly to the other walls. With no apparent physical damage done to the building despite the shockwaves Viral finished off by jumping up towards what was left of the quivering roof before simply swinging his hammer once in the air. The resulting forceful gust caused the building’s true damage to show as thousands of cracks rapidly covered the building before quickly and noisily crashing straight down. The internal damage to the building had been made to make the whole process easier and as the dust built up Viral simply landed on top of the rubble all while making barely a sound.

Shu didn’t understand why Takeshi was back without Viral, staring at him for a moment before squeaking as he was smacked by Yumi. If knowing Viral was by himself wasn’t startling enough then that smack sure was going to top it. Pulling back quickly away from the pair he looked between them both, frowning as Takeshi approached him with what appeared to be the start of an apology. With a ruffling of his hair he raised his shoulders, closing his eyes momentarily before looking up at his brother. “Thought it was bad! Sounded like a gun, then it was a building but Friend already hurt by building and now Mister Viral…” he spoke but gasped as there was even further banging, his hands going to his ears before he looked over to the building, barely seeing Viral as the building crumbled to the ground with him disappearing into a dust cloud, “Ah! M-Mister Viral??”
Shu frowned at the inevitable explanation that he was powerless to help stop anything bad from happening, his eyes staring at June in quiet sorrow as she came down to his level. He wanted to be able to prevent disasters from happening to everyone he knew, he couldn’t go through something like that again. Squeaking, he shook his head quickly before letting out a sigh, ending the shake on a nod. “I guess so. My mother never told me anything because I didn’t know her”, he spoke as if stating a fact to himself, “I don’t mean to go to bad place and think of bad things happening. Oooh…maybe good thing will happen someday”. Shu didn’t know what was going to happen in the future but he was going to try and keep his mind off potentially harmful thoughts that may end up influencing the potential outcome. He was just scared of potentially awful things happening, like a lot that had occurred lately. After being taken by the Saiyans and everything on top of that he was made to believe if one thing went wrong then it would turn into a disaster for all of them. He didn’t mean to be a downer all the time, but he still couldn’t help but worry about the worst case scenario that was probably inevitable when they started to happen.

Viral was about done with the building until he would bring down the outer walls, seeing how everything in this building was near enough smashed to bits without causing structural collapse. He wasn’t going to give into tiredness at this point either, everything was going to have to get properly destroyed if he was to feel satisfied. Seeing how confident Takeshi was with his destructive ways he moved on to decimate the floor, smashing through it with little care for what space he might have left to move around. He could jump pretty well so he didn’t suffer from the problem of losing his footing, even if he didn’t have the ability to fly like Takeshi. Just about done with his side he looked up at Takeshi when he started moaning, grunting in annoyance at his stupidity. “Tch! Shouldn’t expect anything less from a naked ape! You would fall out of bed with it already on the ground!” Jumping up again he landed on the crumbling wall, managing to perfectly balance on it while still holding the hammer. “This is the end for this place! You should get out of the way before I flatten you too!”

Shu was definitely still nervous and didn’t really know what he was supposed to do regarding all of this, instead placing his focus on Yumi who tried to comfort him too and ease his worry over the loud noises. Squeaking lightly as he was pulled close he moved to hold onto her clothing, looking up to her as she lowered his hands near his head. “Maybe please, it makes the bad go away…”

T’charrl didn’t really know if he was bothered by it, namely because it was a pretty new noise to him. His race never really had to destroy buildings, even when they were fighting. The battles often took place in the forest so to have structures of stone having to be pounded in such a manner would require him to live in the city. The first time a building was destroyed near him was when he had infiltrated the General’s base. Staring at the building as it was slowly being torn down he twitched when he realised he was being talked to, looking to Yumi curiously before smiling. “Oh uhh, it’s not bothering me. It is loud and uhh, sudden, but I can withstand it. My head is already sore, anyway”.
Cecil was fairly ready to get going to see this mayor, but at the same time he was feeling very nervous. He didn’t know how the mayor might feel towards him or whether he would just have the same reaction as everyone else did before they knew, seeing him as someone with metal limbs while being perfectly normal. His eye was rarely questioned, they always saw it as a fashion thing so that was lucky for him. Whoever made him had done a lot to keep him looking like a Muran if that was the case, further questioning what he was supposed to be suited for.

Once they had managed to make their way to the mayor’s place it wasn’t out of Cecil’s understanding that the ‘people’ he spotted first were actual Machina. Real Machina, just like him, wandering the garden as if they were fulfilling their life’s purpose and held no other wish to do something else. He felt like he was going to have a panic attack, or at least his equivalent of a panic attack. This was his first encounter of other Machina, yet these ones were simply getting on with their tasks without a simple care, not even looking like they were enjoying their task. Opening his mouth to ask about them he soon frowned and decided upon keeping quiet. They freaked him out a little, as if staring into a reflection of what he could’ve been if he was made by someone else.

Trying to keep calm and quiet about everything he let Nymira do her business, remaining as simply a bodyguard like he was told to be. Staring rather blankly out at nothing in particular he frowned at the sight of the Machina that opened the door, staring at them before looking back at the Machina that they just passed. It appeared as if their clothing was related to their job, but then what was his job and why did he have this clothing? He didn’t choose the clothing he wore and yet he managed to keep it in fairly good condition so he never needed anything else. Whether the clothing was part of him or something someone dressed him up in was definitely coming to question now, but maybe that wasn’t what he should be questioning right now when there was so much left on his mind.

With only one glance at the other Machina Cecil kept his head down while his eyes searched behind the Machina, only looking up without lifting his head at the strange innards of the building that could be seen passed it. He had never been in a building like this one before, but then again he had only been in a few now so far because of Ethan. This was definitely giving him a weird vibe and he didn’t know what the cause of it was. Not only was the Machina freaking him out but the seriousness of this encounter was starting to get to him too. If something happened and the mayor didn’t want to listen to Nymira then what were they supposed to do? Go back and say it was a lost cause? He didn’t know anything about an encounter like this and it only served to make him feel incredibly nervous.

Nymira seemed to know what she was doing, at least. Cecil was just there as decoration so far and while he didn’t mind that he was more concerned with how the situation might go instead. The butler Machina had done nothing else but freak him out and he couldn’t even express words to how he felt about such a thing. There was absolutely nothing to see in that Machina like he had seen in the others, as if everything had been sucked out of it and it really was just an empty shell. What if the others saw him like that, his eyes completely empty without even a glimmer of life in them. Reaching up to his own face in quiet contemplation he gasped when Nymira moved on, following after her only for her and the Machina into the building’s foyer to give an explanation as to why they were here. So there was life in here other than Machina, at least if those Machina could be called ‘life’ at all. Staring at the woman as she told them to wait he gasped when he saw how impatient Nymira had become, her insistence on seeing the mayor now being too great than the mere idea to wait a few minutes. Hurrying on after her he stopped just behind her, flinching when the doors were forced open revealing the mayor inside and the person he must’ve had the previous appointment with.

Now this was just rude of Nymira. Cecil wouldn’t had minded waiting a few minutes but this was just embarrassing. Adjusting his bandana he looked away momentarily, trying to make it look like he had nothing to do with this scenario. Even though it was true that he didn’t it certainly didn’t appear as if he didn’t try to stop her. This was not how he wanted to make a first impression with someone of seemingly high importance, even if their body type was strange and probably something to stare at. The other person the mayor seemed to be meeting with didn’t appear to be someone who would be in a house like this, but then again judging by his clothing he had no idea what he could be. He didn’t look like a citizen or one of the authorities. Maybe he was some sort of traveller, but that was probably none of his business.

Trying to show little interest in what was being previously discussed he frowned at the mention of his occupation, finding it to sound like something a Magi would probably do. He hadn’t heard of ‘healing’ before, so it must’ve been something mystical like fire and nasty muck monsters summoning. Watching him with curiosity it appeared as if his meeting had been cut short thanks to Nymira, the purpose of him coming here apparently being fulfilled already. Well that was lucky, they really didn’t have to be waiting that long after all. Looking to Nymira quickly he soon gasped when the man approached Nymira, raising his fists as he took her hand and proceeded to press his lips against it. That was oddly gross and very suspicious, but he was the only one who seemed to be making any sort of reaction to it too. Frowning, he slowly lowered his fists and stepped back, looking like he was trying to keep a neutral expression as if desperately trying to imitate the Machina he saw before as if understanding that he was supposed to look like that in the first place. He certainly hoped this would all be over soon, at least before he might freak out over something else that was probably completely innocent.
“Some spirits can’t be healed, but it’s not in my job to lecture you on that either”. Link didn’t think his broken spirit was something that could be mended by some healing, he would probably have to go on a whole journey to try and figure out how to feel content about his future and the horrors he would surely unleash onto the world if he opened the amulet. He knew by this time he needed to open his amulet, he decided he couldn’t keep it closed if he was be of use to anyone even if it meant sacrificing his own possible happiness. He was not able to keep it hidden away forever, not after what happened. He still blamed himself for everything going wrong at the bridge. If he had his shadow powers then everyone would be alright.

Going into deep thought for a moment he soon slowly looked up, staring at Caelan and the man as a spell was cast upon Caelan so he could carry more. These supplies should be fine for what they were planning on doing next, so that was already going to be at least one plus for today. Feeling very uneasy about everything that was happening Link’s eyes wandered to the masks again, looking like he was trying to take his mind off something important that he was holding back on. He didn’t want to have to be around anyone when he did open the amulet, but he did know he would probably need it open before they went to get Zelda out of that castle. He didn’t know how to get around that without everyone seeing.

Staring at the salesman who retreated momentarily he made a quick glance to Caelan before sighing. “All this to save a Princess. I don’t know how we’ll manage by ourselves”, he spoke, wandering over to the masks again, “Maybe Demoko can blow the castle to pieces by making all these bombs explode at once. The Princess has the power to protect herself, right? I have no idea how to do any of this…” This place was really giving him the creeps otherwise and the pain in his chest just wasn’t going away. If it wasn’t going to go away by the time they had to move on then he was going to speak up about it, but until then he was going to wait until they got back and try to open it in private to release the spirit inside.
Cecil really didn’t understand what she was so disgusted about but he wasn’t going to let her get any more annoyed with him having to constantly bring it up as he tried to suss out what the problem was. He didn’t really know what to think about such a thing because he didn’t see it, so it technically wasn’t his problem and was merely an inability to understand. It was definitely not a thought he’d keep in his records. Asking about what people might think about him after what happened in the settlement where he met Ethan and Amuné he sighed lightly at the answer, staring up at the sky again. “If you think so. I’ve not seen another Machina up close, so it would be an experience”, he spoke, lowering his gaze again, “I want to see how different they are to me”.

Looking back to Ethan he gave him a smile as he went over the plans for them all, glancing to Nymira only when she spoke up. The plan seemed alright until it was mentioned that Nymira needed someone with her, then it got pretty strange. He didn’t understand what he could add if he was going to go with her now, only finding he was feeling confused and gradually wondering if they had even thought clearly about their plans for the run. They had to have something before now, but it seemed neither had discussed it with each other. Feeling a little unable to understand what he should do he waited until they were able to give him a proper order, looking around slowly he gasped when Nymira made a decision for him only to be made confused when Ethan asked him what he wanted.

He really didn’t know what he wanted to do, he wasn’t familiar with this place or even knew what a mayor was. He was certainly confused by the possibility of making his own decision, even if it was between waiting or accompanying Nymira to see this person. While it seemed like he might get his own decision being made it ended with Ethan ultimately backing out of her offer, sighing lightly before his attention went back to Nymira with a frown. That didn’t last long, but oh well. If their decisions were going to be a greater deal than his then he’d just have to assume they know better by default.

With everything apparently sorted for him and what he will be doing he got off the cart once they finally arrived and moved towards Nymira, looking to the ground at first before to Amuné as she gave them a quick wave. She was certainly more confident in him compared to the first time she found out he was just a Machina, it certainly did manage to surprise him but her initial reaction would probably be always expected from other people. Maybe this mayor person won’t react in the same way, but maybe he won’t notice he’s a Machina too. Giving her and Ethan a quick wave off he turned to Nymira, frowning a little. “Where is this person? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a mayor before so any clothing they might wear won’t be in my memory banks”.
Shu was feeling a little stressed out now that this was happening, but it probably didn’t help matters to have so much on his mind. He wanted to be calm and just watch the building get destroyed, but it was hard when it was so loud and could possible hurt them. He wanted Takeshi to be okay and for Viral to not hurt himself, but hearing all those noises made him incredibly nervous. Frowning, Shu looked up at June as she simply explained what was happening, hoping he could better understand what the process was and why Takeshi and Viral were probably safe. Looking to the men sitting at the side he sighed, lowering his head momentarily. “Not silly. Silly Shu for thinking it was a bad thing. Always thinking of bad things happening. Shouldn’t think of bad things happening all the time, but then they do and it’s bad and then feel stupid for not thinking it won’t…”

Viral was not wasting any time in swinging his hammer and trying to decimate this place. He saw no reason to slow down and causing destruction was managing to take away some of his stress, even if it was just only by a little bit. He didn’t get to exert his energy in a destructive manner anymore because they were trying to fix everything else wrong about him. Everyone probably didn’t want him to have a violent nature, but if they didn’t want that then they should’ve never made him in the first place. He was made to fight and he couldn’t find any other outlet so it was all coming out at once. Not even putting any thought into how he swung the hammer or what direction the rubble went in he continued to crush whatever he could to pieces, the floor crumbling and almost giving way if he wasn’t being so precise in what he was smashing. “If you so much as get a splinter in me, I’m driving this hammer into your head!”

Shu didn’t really like how loud everything was and was finding himself moving closer to T’charrl as if trying to hide in his fur. He just didn’t like the noise it made, all it did was remind him of some pretty bad things that he couldn’t quite pinpoint right now. Staring at the building for a moment his eyes soon went to Yumi, bouncing on his toes a little. “They are? Not just wanting to destroy? Oooh, they no fighting either again”, he spoke before sighing, raising his shoulders, “Oooohhh, hope they finish soon before bad thing happens. What if Mister Viral accidentally hurts someone? He would feel bad all day and night! Or maybe Takeshi hurt someone..”
