Baldwin IV
The Lord's Day, anno domini 2012
Ryuudou Temple, High Noon

Much to Baldwin's relief, his Master was unharmed. Withdrawing his hand, the Leper King moved to assume a neutral stance.
"Excellent. Should you require anything, do not hesitate to call upon me, for I shall shoulder any and all burdens. As for introductions, I would be honored to learn your name, madam."
While it was rendered unseen by the great helm upon his head, something resembling a smile had begun to form upon Baldwin's disfigured visage. This was the beginning of a wonderful partnership.

Meanwhile, the small child and her Servant had taken the liberty of introducing themselves. Interestingly, it seemed the American had no intention of hiding his identity whatsoever. While the name was unknown to Baldwin, it was likely of some familiarity to his Master. Therefore, it could very well lead to an undue advantage in the coming conflict. It was only proper that Baldwin respond in kind, as befits a man of his status.

"A bold statement, Sir Jackson," remarked Baldwin, <"which I will gladly match.">
Shifting into his native tongue, Baldwin's identity was made apparent to all that were present, so long as they happened to be fluent in Old French.
<"I am Baldwin IV, King of Jerusalem. May the Lord's blessing be with you in the days to come, so we might meet again. Be it as comrades or adversaries.">

"Now then, is there any matter you wish to discuss?"

If I may offer my thoughts on the matter, Baldwin is wearing spurs.
So that would at least imply some relation to horsemanship.

As he'd hoped, the lass apologized without complaint, and it hardly seemed to be a bluff.
"Good, to acknowledge one's failings is the first step to purity."

Just as Baldwin released his grip upon the girl's arm, another fellow stepped in to yank her up by the hair. By his looks, attire, and manner of speech, the young King determined him to be some breed of Anglo-Saxon.

Not quite an Englishman, might he be one of those 'Americans' I'd read about in the Throne of Heroes?

While such a man would already be an uncommon sight in the Orient, Baldwin had a deep-seated feeling there was more to it than that. Perhaps this fellow, much like him, had been called to take part in this 'Holy Grail War.' As if his suspicions were not enough, the child's mention of the words 'Master' and 'Servant' all but confirmed it.

If someone else had been summoned as Rider, this chance encounter could have swiftly escalated into the War's first proper battle. But, today was Sunday, and the man summoned as Rider was a man of faith. Thus, Baldwin acted accordingly.

"Only heathens and devils would think to do battle on the day of of the Lord. By my honour, I shan't bring you harm. Now, if you'll allow me a moment, I must attend to her ladyship."

With that, Baldwin turned 'round to face his Master, and made his way over to her. Offering his hand, Baldwin spoke directly to her, his voice tinged with genuine concern.

"Are you quite alright, madam? I would not wish you to come to harm so early in the war."

Allow me a moment to re-work the post I made, as making it after Alice's will probably flow better.

Not to be rude, but Hantu, vFear, and I are all presently waiting on @Black Alice to post.
@Unoedipal
Just going to let you know that I'll be busy until fairly late into the night, and may not be able to make a post until Wednesday morning or so. I hope that's alright.

May being the keyword here, I might be able to slap something together before I fall asleep.

The light emanating from the circle was peculiar, to say the least. At first glance, it seemed to be pure white. Yet upon closer inspection, it appeared more in line with the deathly pallor of a man diseased. Not only that, but foul smoke emanated forth, carrying the stench of rot and sickness. However, within this foul mire, movement could be seen. Humanoid in figure, what lay within gradually rose to its feet. While the being's form was still veiled in smoke, that was about to change. Behind the Servant arose a new shape: the outline of a massive cross, formed from light.

In but an instant, the putrid miasma and pestilent light were banished from the world, consumed by the blazing radiance of the sacred icon. Though the light was blinding, it gave off a pleasant warmth, comparable to a parent lovingly embracing their child. After what felt like an eternity, the cross slowly faded out of sight, leaving naught but a man clad in ancient armour. Standing tall, proud, and resolute; he looked to be no less than a shining paragon of perfection. But, a pond's surface oft hides what lurks beneath. Echoing the foulness heralding his arrival, a number of barely perceptible flaws marred the purity of the man's being.

While the man's left arm firmly gripped the pommel of his sword, his right limb was left to dangle in an almost pathetic manner. The man's posture was impeccable, that much was true; but, a sharp eye could see that it was maintained by force of will, entailing an internal struggle against a foe no man could hope to match. Above all, his eyes were the most revealing. Behind the slits of his great helm lay two green pools, filled with sorrow and steely resolve in equal measure. They were the eyes of a man among men, at once broken and adamant, brimming with experience no lad of his age aught to have. Taking a step forward, the man dropped to his knees and bowed his head.

"Good day, madam. By the grace of the Almighty and your will, I have risen again, bearing the title Rider. May I have the pleasure of knowing your-"

Baldwin paused, struck dumb by a sudden turn of events. What appeared to be a small goblin had come flying out from seemingly nowhere, and proceeded to slam into his master. After taking a moment to process what had just happened, the Leper King arose, and lumbered over to take a closer look at the offending object.

A child, albeit a rather odd-looking one. The Orientals are truly a mystifying folk.

Were the circumstances any different, the Servant would have gladly struck some sense into them. But, one was not to commit violence without undue reason, especially against a child. Thus, Baldwin used his good arm to hoist the girl up by the wrist.

"I do believe you owe the good lady an apology, and myself an explanation."
@vFear
I'd figure Lú Qiūyuè and Baldwin would make a decent pair. After all, who wouldn't want to summon a 16-year-old leprous cripple, eh?
@Noxx
Berserker is still up for grabs, and there's slots left for Masters.

Edit: So is Archer, but I'd suggest waiting on the GM getting back to @Hantu Kongkek on his app before going for the ol' Rooty Tooty Point 'n' Shooty.

Edit 2: I hope you like Wizards.
