You can get much farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone. - Al Capone
Name:Alessandra 'Alessa' De Luca
Age:17
Appearance:Alessa stands at 5 foot 6 and has a thin build. Her skin is rather pale, a result of her sheltered upbringing. Her hair is a jet black, and travels slightly past her waist. She has a scar that travels diagonally across her forearm, but has no other scars or tattoos other than this.
Gender:Female
Skills:
- Great with pistols and revolvers
- Can speak English, Chinese and Italian fluently and knows a few phrases of French
- Knows how to sew clothes, along with various other 'home economics' based skills
Power:Alessa's power is to travel through and make things travel through reflections. For example, she could travel through a mirror, no matter how small, and to another mirror in a location that she knows about. Along with this, she can travel through things like reflections in water and eyes. This allows her to do things like chuck a stone through a mirror and have it come out of a pool of water.
What gave you your power?: Her vanity combined where her yearning to be elsewhere at many points in her life combined to give her the power. Her power first showed itself after a rather heated argument between her parents was going on as, Alessa put on her makeup. She fell through her mirror and came out through the one in her bathroom. Suffice to say, she was shocked.
Personality:The first thing most people notice about, Alessa is her outgoingness combined with her stubbornness. She's happily talk to anyone, as long as they weren't some weirdo, but it's extremely hard to convince her of an opinion that isn't her own, and even harder to stop her talking when she gets on the topic of something she likes. A risk taker, Alessa is quite brave and courageous when it comes to danger, having been in far too many dangerous situations for a girl her age in the first place.
Bio: What did you do for a living, what do you want us to know about your history, etc.
Alessa was born on a snowy night in the middle of December in Naples, Italy. To understand her story, you must first understand her parents' story. Her father was the son of an Italian mobster, and had taken the reigns for the American side of the operation at the young age of 19. His father had arranged for a marriage with him and the daughter of a Triad gang boss. While the two fathers were ecstatic about the concept of joining the gangs and conquering America together, the children were less than pleased. There was little to no chemistry between them and Alessa's mother was pretty sure that her husband was gay for a large part of the start of the marriage.
They got on as well as they could, and eventually gave birth to, Alessa. Her early life was as sheltered as possible. She was home schooled by hand picked teachers and any friends she made were vetted and threatened with violence if any arguments broke out between them and Alessa. Because of this, she didn't keep many friends very long. Her one lifelong friend was her main teacher, a man by the name of, Tony. Tony was a former home economics teacher who had gotten a place within the mafia after accidentally saving the life of one of the higher up members children. He subsequently quit teaching and became the right hand man to, Alessa's father.
He taught her practically everything she knew, taking teaching duties not only for home economics but also for English, Maths and French. He quickly became her best friend, incorporating fun into his lessons along with all the knowledge needed.
Her sheltered streak came to an end with her teens though, as a more rebellious attitude emerged along with a longing for more human interaction than that with her family and their friends. She practically forced her parents to allow her to be enrolled in school, a private one of course. Upon arrival, she realized she wasn't exactly on the same wave length as many of the other girls. While most girls childhoods were filled with playing with barbies and styling their hair, Alessa's childhood was filled with learning how to fire guns and protect herself in a fire fight. Luckily enough for her, she was taken under the wing of one of the more popular girls, who in turn taught her the meaning of vanity and transformed Alessa from a tomboy into a regular,
slightly vain girl.
Her time at school was cut short after a rival gang threatened to shoot it up after, Alessa's father tried to expand his territory. From then on she only went to school for one or two days a week, and the rest of the week was spent in home schooling.
