@Double Exactly my points. I'm not saying Budew can't. What I'm saying is that we don't have to nitpick on the mechanics of how the moves work. Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with Natural Cure and Poison Point.

If you want a Sylveon, no problem. Just try and achieve the requirements for its evolution. So you have to try and teach Eevee a Fairy-type move (Think Ash teaching Pikachu Iron Tail and Treeko Bullet Seed) along with maintaining a tight-knit bond between your character and his pokemon.

EDIT: Looking at the moves available to it, you don't really have that many options. You just have Baby-Doll Eyes and Charm.
@Double Usefulness would pertain in and out of combat since there are certain moves that are rendered pseudo-obsolete given the nature of the RP. Examples would be Anticipation, Mummy, Magician, and Healer to name a few.

You're taking the name too literally for Poison Point. The ability may cause poisoning on physical contact, that's it. If you believe that it doesn't make sense, then pick Natural Cure instead. If you're questioning Natural Cure's mechanics on how it actually works, Leaf Guard is no better. Although we're trying to be realistic here, Pokemon is still a world that bends common sense. Budew is 8 inches tall; how would we explain it creating enough poison for sludge bomb? When I say realistic, think of how it is in the show. I'm not saying were going to copy it exactly, but that would give you an idea on what I mean.

If you're worried about its effects in terms of meta-battling, just remember that every action will have repercussions; some heavier than others. If abuse is done, rectification will definitely follow.

Regarding Energy Ball, I kinda corrected myself in my previous post.

I'm not sure how they're with "questionable usefulness". Eevee can get Run Away and Adaptability. The former would help you out when you're faced with wild pokemon too strong for you to take on and Adaptability would give you a certain advantage in fights. As for Budew, it has Poison Point and Natural Cure. Both still serve their purposes; its just unfortunate that their applications are more related to battle than anything else.

Also, as stated in the Pokedex in the first post, Baby Pokemon only know their moves up until Level 15. Anything else would have to be thought or learned. So for your Budew, it would know Absorb, Growth, Water Sport, Stun Spore, and Mega Drain.

EDIT: My mistake, I forgot about that part. Okay, it has Energy Ball.
Interested.

@Hillan I'll be more of a liability than anything else. And why would you guys not hit people if was around? lol.
@Hillan The difference in strength in my character from the crew is kind of large though.
@Ira I think I'll be going alone for now. The Golden Fleece Pirates are a little too strong for my taste. I think I'll be taking the path similar to Luffy. So for now, no crew yet.
@Mag Lev At least I got one. :)
