Something came up so my CS probably won't be up until tomorrow afternoon. I've pretty much completed the Ability description, appearance and the basics, I just have to do Personality and History.
Where is everyone? :s
I'd like to show interest in this. I'm open for any state, and I'm not sure what powers/abilities my character would have yet either. I may go for a healing roll, but I'm not sure at the moment. I'll start working on my CS tomorrow and try to have it in then/within the next few days.

~EDIT~ On second thought I've decided to create a female Healer located in California, unless someone's bagsed any of those outside the thread :)
Name: ‘Riza’

Appearance:

Gender: Female
Age: 26
Race: Black Dog

Biography: Black Dogs are infinite, godly, and immortal. They exist to serve, and they fulfil their duties without error. They do not rest, and do not require it, though for all of their divinity and all of the influence they hold, it seems that even gods can fall. Riza is proof of that.

The specifics of the event are shady to Riza herself, which is understandable considering she had no real mind to remember it by. All she knows is that she must have come into contact with.. something, an unknown force, that she consumed - as was her duty - and then woke up human and naked in the snow somewhere in Sweden, where she experienced incredible, agonizing pain, at the same time aware of every sound, scent and emotion that one could experience at any given time. Her new senses overloaded, she collapsed in shock, and was later found by the man who owned the surrounding farms. She could not speak, as she had never learned how, and utilising her new mind and body came slowly and with much effort. She had no memory of who or what she was, who or what she had been, where she was, or where she had been, but the old man took to teaching her the basics of life and living, having quickly caught on to the fact that she was unschooled in such things. Though she looked to be at least twenty years of age, he raised her like a child, and she stayed with him for the next eight years of her life.

It took her years to accommodate to the various aspects of mundane life, even as a near adult, as though she had learned how to survive as a human, she still struggled to understand the thoughts, mannerisms and actions of other people. Her mind now matured into that of a young woman, her thirst for answers drove her away from her new home. It was difficult letting go, but her father understood, and she travelled across the sea in search of her origins. Long story very short, her quest took her, after many, many years, to Blackbury, where a not inconsiderable amount of digging led her to discovering what she once was – or at least, what the evidence has led her to believe she once was. Here, she was also able to unlock a number of her latent powers.

As of late Riza has been working tirelessly to keep herself on her feet, and though she is not technically considered a bounty hunter, she does what she can to get by. When she’s not out earning a wage this way, she will make Deals with supernaturals with a target on their back – though they have to fit a certain code for her to agree to help them. Teaming up with hunters is not unusual for her, and she has become known as a dependable yet temporary partner, often keeping contacts in the loop of their targets or possible threats.

Personality: Riza is quiet and calculating, though she isn’t always serious and has quite a number of smalls quirks. She considers her life to have truly started when she first gained Awareness, which was twenty years ago. She somewhat lacks empathy, though this does in no way mean she cannot feel, and she is still learning how to both display her emotions and understand the emotions of others. Humans and Supernaturals alike are still somewhat unusual to her, though the trepidation she holds towards certain races stems more from lack of interaction than anything. As she is still missing a lot of information about life and the world, she often busies herself with reading up on world history, and familiarising herself with different aspects of the world’s races, cultures and events. She is also fascinated by the simpler things such as electricity, and has been known to overindulge on the things she never needed as a Dog, such as large meals, coffee, sweets and of course, chocolate, which she consumes by the bucket load.
Weaponry: Silver plated 10’’hunting knife, claws (Dog form)
Possessions: Engraved Swiss Army Knife, small opal, journal, lockpick
Theme song: Tom Day – Who We Want to Be;

Name: Clementine ‘Clem’ Tosa
Height: 6’2’’
Sex: Female
Age: 24
Rank: Survey Corps, Veteran

Titan: No

Personality: Good natured, kind and reserved, Clem has never been especially outgoing or hyperactive in her life’s pursuits – though this was only until she joined the Survey Corps, where she soon found great enthusiasm in training to become a medic. Extremely loyal and hardworking, Clem knows when to keep her mouth shut, though this does not mean she will not question authority, or even royalty, especially if the lives, or the dignity, of her squad mates are threatened. Clem considers her job vitally important, and will not hesitate to dive into the fray to lend aid to a teammate. She believes that if she is not putting herself in danger every day for her peers, then she has failed as their teammate. Because of this outlook, and her unwavering, daily effort on the battlefield, she has more than earned the respect and trust of her squad mates. Though generally optimistic, or as much as someone in her situation could be, Clem has seen more than her fair share of blood and dismembered body parts. She has ‘failed’ in reviving, healing or mending hers and other teams squad mates, and because of this, she has been known to distance herself emotionally from the new recruits, considering they are more often than not the ones that are wiped out first.

Clem acts as the medic for her team, having worked tirelessly to gain an impressive knowledge of the human anatomy and the most effective means in which to deal with bodily injuries. If the situation calls for it, and it often does, she is also equipped to deal with the psychological and mental trauma that her teammates may suffer. Though she does not apply this outside of the battlefield, such as inside a clinic, it has leant her great aid in inspiring injured or mortified teammates to come to terms with what is happening around them, making it easier for her, and others, to retrieve and extract them from danger. If need be, she also acts as a supply runner when her medical skills aren’t needed - though this does not happen often. As a fighter and user of the 3DMG, her swiftness and quick-thinking is paralleled by only a few, and she can hold her own against a small group of Titans at a time.

Other: N/A

Name: Pia Weiss
Height: 5’7’’
Sex: Female
Age: 16
Rank: Future Student

Titan: No

Personality: Pia is a stranger to those around her, especially to the recruits. Preferring solidarity to the welcoming arms of some, she avoids forming relationships with others as much as possible - making her introverted and an outcast. Seeming to glide through objectives with ease, she still manages to keep her head low to avoid recognition, finding personal fulfilment more important than communal gratitude. Though she is determined to excel, she will not use others to get there, and will not sacrifice herself for the fulfilment of another’s objective. Though she will speak her thoughts, she is not forthcoming with her opinion, nor is she aggressive when voicing it. Open displays of emotion as considered surprising to those lucky enough to witness them, and despite her outward personality, she is full of deeply concealed passion and a great appreciation of nature and the world around her.

Musicway said I just meant that it's an already established race in fiction. It's not original - I didn't create it.

Draconilian said @Music I don't think that's what Canon means... lol, just cause it exists in another media doesn't make it canon here. Also I figure the majority of races would not be original.

I didn't mean it was canon here, in this particular universe, I meant that it was canon in fiction written in real life, just like the Grim Reaper or Hellhounds. They're known. Maybe canon was the wrong word, but that was what I meant.

What do you mean universally "canon?"

Okay, I'm done. Black Dogs are already a universally ‘canon’ race, I just changed the info I found around a bit to fit how I wanted it to be for the setting. Let me know if anything is written weirdly or if something needs to be changed. I left out some of the history too, which I’d like to use in the IC if the time comes.
