I do not find your joke amusing.

"Really?!" Screamed Mihai'en. "What was your first clue, the WALKING SKELETONS?!" He shouted, exasperated. Insanity seemed to be the norm on this continent. What I'd give to be back home in a warm bed.

Still, though, things seemed to have calmed down a bit. Not much, but a bit. There was still a dead, rotting carcass nearby. But it had calmed down enough that Mihai'en's adrenaline had stopped flowing, and he suddenly was aware of the pain on his back. He grit his teeth, but it still hurt immensely.

"Where'd you lot come from, anyway?"

Mihai'en was taken aback, not having noticed the elf beforehand.

"Aye. Whatever you say," he said, not even bothering to hide the worry on his face. He bowed his head. "May Gwenneth be with ye."

He fought against the skeletons as best he could, but it was clear enough that he was only marginally good as a fighter. He hit the creatures often, but ineffectually. Forgoing his pithy experience and training, he returned to the very basics of swordplay: hit stuck 'em with the pointy end.

Sadly, it was all he could do to keep them at bay, being outnumbered as he was. That first skeleton seemed more of a fluke than an actual indication of Mihai'en's skill at this point, as it was clear that he would need assistance, else he should be overrun.

at seeing the strangers and mihai'en's reluctance to hide shiro steps out of the bushes quietly, his sword drawn but held limply at his side as he second guesses his senses. had they failed him? unlikely, shiro had always been able to rely on his senses before, but if that was so then why did they fail him now? shiro ponders such things silently, remaining silent up to the point the first skeleton walks into the forest clearing behind him and thrusts a sword into him, catching him unaware due to his lack of faith in his senses that had been caused by the twin's appearence. shiro lets out a small cry of pain as he's stabbed through the chest, the sword peircing one of his lungs causing him to gasp for breath and choke as the injured lung fills with blood however, unfortunately the sword is left in due to the skeleton's inability to remove it causing shiro to fall over onto the ground as more skeletons fill the clearing and unlike the first's unfortunate state, these ones were armed and turning on both the twins and mihai'en

It all happened so quickly, Mihai'en hardly had time to process what had happened. One minute, he was trying to make conversation with two strangers on the road, and in another his companion ended up bleeding on the ground.

"Shiro!" he shouted, unceremoniously. How they had been able to sneak up on them was a mystery. Unless we were simply too distracted by these two for us to notice.

Whatever the case, Mihai'en unhooked the glaive from his back. Without skin, it wasn't much use, but it was better than nothing: polearms weren't designed to break bones, and a thrust through the ribcage would have met no resistance besides air.

Worth a shot, though.

Aiming for the nearest skeleton, he thrust his glaive into its stomach. It bounced off of it, pushing it backwards slightly, but otherwise the thing seem unaffected.

"Well, this is going well." Thrusting again, he managed to fit his spear through the ribcage of the creature. Forcing it upwards, he used the leverage to break some its ribs. Without a stable body structure, it fell down, almost comically.

Out of nowhere, Mihai'en felt a sharp pain in his back. One of the skeletons had snuck up from behind, and slashed him across the back. He was wearing smallclothes at this point, so it broke skin rather easily.
A few weeks ago, that would have been unbearable, but as this point, he had faced worse. It stung a bit, but for now at least he was able to shrug it off. Adrenaline would keep the pain away for a while.

Still, it was pretty clear that for Mihai'en, at least, the battle was hopeless. There were a lot of them, and Shrio looked like he might be in serious trouble soon. Bumbling, he found Shiro on the ground, and helped him up. The sword was still stuck inside him, and Mihai'en knew from experience that pulling it out would cause massive bleeding. He knew he would have to run, but before he could lift Shiro to his feet...

He was hiding, sure, but Mihai'en was beginning to suspect that Shiro was even more paranoid than he was. There were two of them, sure, but they seemed rather harmless. Hells, one of them looked even younger than Shiro. It didn't take a genius to see that the two of them meant no harm. Mihai'en stepped out of the bushes, and yelled at their backs. What was Shiro apt to do, anyway, scowl some more?

"Hail, friends!" He shouted, unceremoniously. "To where are you traveling?"
Name: Mihai'en
Age: 19
Race: Dragon
Looks:
Human Form
Dragon Form

EXP: 1

Skills:
Glaive: He has experience with the spear-like weapon known as a Glaive, through his training in the army. He's not very good at it, but it's better than nothing. Every 10 Levels, his skill improves. SL: 1

Light Armour: He prefers to be lightly armoured, giving him speed and mobility, at the cost of adequate protection. Each 10 levels improves his skill. SL:0

Dragon-Kin: He can shift from human to dragon forms, but he prefers the former, as the transformation is incredibly painful, and people tend to not like it when they're property is destroyed by some overgrown post-adolescent lizard. Apparently, it becomes less painful with practice, but the suffering never truly goes away. While he certainly is much more powerful as a dragon, he's far from invulnerable: from his exposed underbelly, to his elongated neck. Being a dragon doesn't give him any benefit in human form, but that also means that it's easy for him to keep his "other" form a secret to anyone without any magical talent. Speaking of magic, his scales don't protect him from it, meaning that it's dragon hunting season for any mage with a desire for a dragon's head on his doorstep. Every 5 levels, the pain of transforming becomes lesser, capping at 40, with no pain. SL:0

Flight (In dragon form only): Given their size, dragons don't tend to be fast fliers, nor are they very graceful. Besides, flapping those wings gets pretty tiring after a while. It's gets you from point A to point B, though. Every 10 levels, though, his skill improves, increasing his overall flight speed by about an extra 10 KPH. SL:0

Roar: (IDFO): A dragon is already a pretty intimidating sight to most people, they're big and ugly. Add noisy, and you've got the holy trifecta for making a good number of people wet their pants. Every 5 levels, it becomes for intimidating.
0-5: "Did you hear something?"
5-10: "Goodness, you startled me."
10-15: "Stop, you're starting to make me nervous."
15-20: "Dude, I'm seriously scared right now, please stop."
20-25: "Fuckfuckfuck oh god."
25-30: *Dead*
SL: 0

i know that, but i'm partially treating it like an rpg and reviewing people's abilities for a dungeon raid (probably doesn't help that the creator has made many points towards the fact that he designed the world and creatures sort of like a more varied and open wow) so, interesting though they may be, it's going to be difficult if they're not really useful sadly :/

I suppose so, but this isn't really a tabletop RPG, with rolls, and everything. This is a play by post, mostly focusing on story and character development. If it weren't, we'd get a hint at to how difficult an opponent might be, and what not. In this, what determines if you hit and NPC is whether or not you think you hit an NPC. You might hit them because you hit them, or you might miss them because it adds an interesting plot mechanic.
I get where you coming from and everything, but this is whole board is just a way to have some fun.
And besides, creating characters even in tabletop RPGs with the intent of giving them "usefull" skills is known as min-maxing, and is totally LAAAAAME. The best games I've ever played are the ones where everyone's just being awesome, polite, and having a fuckton of fun with their characters.

true, and honestly i would prefer about 4-5 people for our little excursion, but we need lowkey to introduce her chars before we can add more and even after that, after looking over her chars abilities they don't really seem all that useful >.>

Useful is less important the interesting. This is an RP, mate, it doesn't matter what a char's skills are, or how powerful they are, just so long as you can RP them well.

but originally i was thinking of bumping into a few people along the way and getting the group together for the dungeon run so i had no real intention of having there be just two of us unless it couldn't be helped :/

Just the entire group. Just lead a clusterfuck of people into some random dungeon or whatever. That actually sounds like a ton of fun. INTERESTING PLOT MECHANICS FTW.

Seriously, though, LowKey. Introduce your characters. It's a lot easier when people are actually there to take part. :D

Sorry. Your profile has a very distinct female face. I just assumed you were a girl.
Sorry.

It would get boring with just the two of us, I think. I've completely lost count of the sheer number of people on the RP, so if two guys go off, doing their own thing, while everyone else it doing something entirely different, it would get a bit weird.
Not saying that your ideas are bad, just that, you know, the more the merrier!
