Angelise

Things went south in short order. The strategist hadn't given Ange her orders, and she was starting to feel uneasy. Bloodlust awakened inside of her. The instinct to kill, if one may say. It would be the first time she actually would shoot at someone else instead of a beast, but even then it was an interesting prospect ahead. Her first priority was, of course, the dwarven archers she noticed that were aiming at the dragon above. Having a superior range, Ange didn't wait for Alfred's order to shoot at them. Taking aim, firing a series of shots towards their face, it felt just like her usual hunting sessions.

Though, while she was busy shooting at the archers, the female manakete suddenly collapsed, which worried Ange somewhat. She was thinking of approaching her to lend her some hand when suddenly, three of the Varjan soldiers zeroed in on the group. They were fully armored, crap. Ange wasn't that great in dealing with fully armored people. Even if she could aim to their eyes, she didn't want to risk it for now.

The female Myrmidon was first to help the manakete, fending off the attackers with her sword. Ange smiled seeing that, and had her horse gallop into position. She still maintained some range between her and the Varjan elites, and so, she unsheathed her sword. Uttering a spell on the magical blade, she then swung it towards the attackers' direction, sending several waves of sharp wind blasts at them. Being magic, Ange was hoping the attack from her Wind Sword was capable of piercing through their armor.

"Hey, can you get the manakete to my horse, Myrmidon? I'm going to return to my post and attack them from range again, but first this girl needs to be carried to safety."

Being unable to remember names really sucks.

@Lady Athena @Darkmoon Angel
Thankfully I'm mainly grinding berserker EXP to level up Lancelot, Fran, Kiyo, Tamacat, and Beo.

Any of you gonna grab Santa Alter next week btw?
Did I sense a breeding talk that doesn't involve Medb?

More importantly, @Rin any plans on posting soonish? I wouldn't be able to post tomorrow so it'd be nice to know when you're up for it.

Queen Himiko

The excitement her Master had only widened Caster's smile. The girl was quite ready to accept Caster fully even just from sight, and while it might be just a sign of her being an easily impressed girl, Caster was sure that Ravel would be a good companion to her. Indeed, what she knew about the girl was far from enough for the time being, but Caster was not in a hurry to dig too much of it. She knew a sincere expression just by glancing at one, and before the girl that had summoned her, Caster decided to try being flowery for once.
"Then the contract between us had been sealed. I am Himiko, the Caster. Even if I am a Queen, you have no need to prostate yourself before me. Yet, I will not act as a servant even to you, the one who became my Master. We are here as equals, nothing more and nothing less.

If you accept this arrangement, then let this be my vow that I shall guide you to the glory you seek."

That was more words than she had spoken for years, and even if it's subtle, signs of Caster struggling to say that much might be noticeable to someone that looked at her. Ah, everything from before she was summoned felt so close, yet even the radiant light of the sun couldn't dispel the darkness that clouded her mind. Something might have happened between her death and her summoning here. Was it simply due to a flaw in her summoning? That would be unlikely, or at least, she would have felt something else that went amiss if that was the case.

The room became more and more crowded as more Servants were summoned. It was suffocating to Caster, and her feeling of unease became more and more pronounced no matter how she tried to keep her stoic image. The mirror covering herself shook for a bit. Caster felt a presence in the room somewhere that the mirror would recognize. In the room there was a vulpine being that was currently busy clutching to her summoner, and Caster felt something odd inside of her. What did she have to do with a fox spirit? Perhaps that was just a mistake on her part. Caster turned her attention back at Ravel, her warm smile covered the multitudes of emotions hidden inside of her right now.
"I am pleased to meet you too. No adversaries would have the capability to stand between us, I am sure of it. Although, I also believe that it would benefit both of us if you inform us of what can you do as a magus while we leave this room."

Eleven sentences in less than an hour! Not even half an hour since she was summoned, and she already broke some of the records she had in life. Talking like this still made her uncomfortable, but the more she talk perhaps would mean that the more she would feel less awkward about it.

@ADamnFiddle

Still going to wait for @Tom Lyon but I will try to post tomorrow if he didn't post.
I think I'll wait for Mordred to appear before posting again.
So many people are talking at the same time and people gets easily distracted with the shiny stuff in front of them.
@KoL Even Hades, as much of a chill guy as he was, did kidnap Persephone to marry her, although at least in some stories it was a ploy from Persephone herself to escape Demeter.

Then again, it's from a culture of ages ago that has different set of morals from us. Though perhaps they also see some of these just like us do, who knows?
@KoL

To be fair, people like Hector and Odysseus (although he's quite an idiot when he's full of himself) are pretty cool. And Herk when he's not mad doesn't seem to be that bad-

Orite he murdered a lot of people offhandedly. Meanwhile Achilles is just a plain big jerk, Jason's a big ass, and stuffs. Their heroes are pretty messed up. The human women like the Amazons, Helen, Cassandra, Odysseus' wife and such were pretty decent due to their lack of screentime I think, but the goddess and dryads and anything nonhuman are usually full-on jerks. But that also applies to male nonhumans in the mythology.

Greek Myth is a mess, man.

Himiko...would definitely have a certain reaction to Tamamo as soon as she know who she really is. Maybe it's like squeeing when you meet your senpai in your reunion after you're successful, but since you're trying to save face you squee internally but then everything crashes when reality attacks and your senpai is nowhere near how you remembered them as.

Would be fun too since she's practicing profane magic on the side (which...thinking about it, would give some similarity to Tamamo's own witchcraft). It'd be like when you're going to meet your old senpai again but right now you're using drugs but then you later know your senpai actually was a junkie during the time you're away from them.
One of the hottest grandma around, still.

Jason didn't deserve her.
