Actually, do you know what idea I like better? I've been thinking about it and maybe it'd be far more interesting if we each played another's parent. The GMs still get to delegate and we still end up playing parents but now we aren't RPing with ourselves the whole time. @Lionheart

That sounds like a solid plan. @ViolentViolet What do you think?

I'm going to try to work up an Ezra post tonight. It's gonna be a little different, since I've never played anyone like him before, so bear with me!
@BlueAjah that's fine, if we need him to do town stuff we'll either tell you exactly what needs to happen or we'll take him over for a post, whichever you prefer.

This is what Snarl had to say about how to play the mayor.

The Mayor is a retired hero. Think of him as Santa claus mixed with a lumberjack and a viking- with a little dash of Socrates. The mayor, for all his brawn, knows how to lead his people. Never play him as simply the man with muscle- he has a brain too.

Glad you liked the flower idea, Violet actually came up with it. ^.^
Alright, so @ViolentViolet and I were talking and we were wondering if you guys would be willing to play your own parents? We're a little worried we might get burned out if we have to play them all.

Snarl left us a basic summary of each parent's personality, so we could either post it here or pm it to you individually, if you prefer.

As for the story, I'm kind of waiting for@Adorabadass to post so I can make Ezra follow his lead and find the group to give them a bit of information. We were also thinking about having the flowers bloom individually throughout this whole rescue mission, whenever one of them does something incredibly brave or they go through something life threatening. Thoughts?

@Savo @BlueAjah @Lionheart @Adorabadass
@Snarl MUHAHAHA! I'm all about mutilating my characters, it's the best part! :D If she'd had her hands untied I probably would have had her tear pieces of her nightgown to leave as markers and then climb a tree, but I honestly liked this better anyways. Glad it surprised you!
Alixanna flinched when the blanket was pulled off, trying to shy away from the other presence. Before the medic could completely recoil, a hand covered her face and the toxic sludge retreated. The process left her gasping greedily as her lungs were finally able to draw in unobstructed breaths once more. When her pupils had contracted enough for Alixanna to be able to focus, the brunette tried to take in her captor. 'Gorgeous,' her mind supplied, unhelpfully. She couldn't quite pin down the details of her face. 'Must be magic,' the doctor's daughter thought as her captor looked her over. Alixanna swallowed hard as the other told her that they are going to see her master.

Then the wagon began to move again and the healer was left to stare up at the tree tops. They continue like this for a while, until they stopped and the woman returned. She untied Alixanna’s feet, but left her hands bound before leading her out of the back of the cart, her grip surprisingly gentle. “Look. He awaits us,” her captor said, voice changing timbre as she gestured to the center of the bog.

Alixanna shifted her gaze to the middle of swamp and didn't see anything at first. “Wha--,” the teen started to ask, her voice still scratchy, but then she saw it, a beast that stood as tall as a man, covered in the marshland’s foliage and its jowls parted, revealing yellowed and impossibly sharp teeth. ’God’s have mercy,’ she thought, transfixed by the monster. It spoke to the other woman, but the only words that registered were ‘dread king’.

The lion drew closer, his snout almost pressed against her face as he asked, "Does my witch... speak the truth, child? Will your soul cleanse mine?"

Alixanna stared into the creature’s eyes and reflected in the evil orbs were only death and misery. The medic trembled. The witch said something else and the dread king’s eyes widened, pinning Alixanna where she stood. A wave of nausea fell over her and Alixanna’s mind was filled with images of the lion feasting on young maidens and crushing the skulls of children in his hideous jaws, all while they were still crying for their mothers. The beast looked away and Alixanna bit her lip so hard to keep from screaming that she could taste blood.

The dread king disappeared into the bog’s depths and the cloaked woman said, "I will give you a five minute headstart."

Alixanna waited until the woman and her cart are almost out of sight, trying to even out her breathing so she didn't pass out. ’I’ll never out run anybody like this,’ she thought, her toes flexing in the damp clay. ’Barefoot, hands tied, and this nightdress is like a gods damn beacon,’ Alixanna sneered down at the nightgown as if it were to blame for this situation.

Disoriented, Alixanna picked a direction and started walking, struggling to be brisk and keep her balance at the same time. A broken tree branch scratched her bicep and she hissed, glancing down at the torn material of her sleeve and the blood that flowed from the small wound. She felt the warm buzz of her magic as her skin glowed a pale gold and started to knit together, but the blood was still vibrant against the white of her nightdress.

It gave her an idea.

Alixanna rammed her shoulder as hard as she could against the sharp point of the broken branch, forcing it to pierce her flesh and create a deep gorge. “Hurhg,” she hummed through the pain, concentrating on stopping the magic that naturally bubbled forth to stop the bleeding. “The rangers can’t miss this,” she murmured as she ran the injured shoulder over the trunk of a willow tree, leaving behind a smear of blood. This Ogar person would surely see it too, but they were going to catch her anyways.

Alixanna continued walking; smearing her blood over every tree and bush she passed by.
Ok, I kind of want to be GM, but I've never done it before. I was wondering if there was someone else that would want to do it with me? Plus, Snarl has so many characters that I'm a little intimidated.

I'd also like to say that if there is someone more experienced that wants to be the only GM, I'm cool with that too. ^.^
So uh they'll enjoy it and be really mad max about it.@Snarl

*Sprays chrome all over her face* WITNESS ME!

I love that movie so much it hurts. :D It sucks that you've lost interest in this game, you're the best at plot twists. Did you want to at least pick the flower matches before you pass on your GM crown?
Clover tries to contain her excitement as she leans forward, inspecting the magical artifact closely. "Lovely," she praises as she reaches forward and ghosts her fingers over the watch, humming as the magic buzzes against her. "It's a pretty good one, as far as I can tell," the witch informs as she flips open the case and traces the face of the watch. "I'd say at least two, maybe three, witches from the same coven worked on it. You're not even touching it fully, but it's still protecting you," Clover gestures at him, as if to accentuate this point. "It's pretty strong to be able to shield you just by being in close proximity."

"A witch can create strong spells, but it's our circles that give us real power," she continues, a little wistful at the end. It was hard being away from her gran, but even so, a coven of two wasn't much of a coven at all. Flipping the lid closed, she slides the charm back over to Remi. "I'd say you got your money's worth out of it."

Clover listened as the other youth talked about his brother and downed another can of Redbull. She was starting to feel a little more awake, but she knew that she was probably going to crash right after her first class. 'Maybe I can get a nap in before my math class this afternoon,' she mused. The two shared a companionable silence as Clover continued to watch the progress the vampire made on his sketch. It was definitely a girl, but Clover still couldn't quite make out her feature.

"Do you have any siblings? Where were you born? Any pets growing up? I used to want a cat but-" Remi pauses and an expression crosses his face that she can't quite pin-point "I used to want a cat," he finishes, his eyes averted back down to his artwork.

"I was born in Maine. I don't have any brothers or sisters, or pets. It was just my gran and me," Clover admits, glossing over her family history. Most people are understandably freaked out if she tells them that mom murdered her dad in a fit of jealous insanity. "How old are you?" She changes the subject, picking up her book bag and moving around the table to sit next to Remi so she can finally make out what he's drawing.

"Oh," she gasps, the corners of her mouth turning up into a goofy smile. "You're quite good at this, aren't you?" Clover asks, giving the vampire a friendly punch to the shoulder.

@Savo No one has ever called me Narcy before, I love it! Everyone usually calls me 'Doll' or 'Dollie' but I think Narcy is adorable. :P
Woah woah woah, hold up, hang on, just a moment here. [@NarcoticDollie] Has like flood and tornado warnings? Is this like a normal thing there? I mean like is no one else freaking out about this? How is everyone not hitting like freaking out? Are you? I mean is everyone crying and screaming and it's just calm on this forum? That must be it right because like freaking flood and bloody tornados and all you say is like it might mess with response times? I mean like I love your posts and all but if youve got like full blown mother of earth natural disasters going down there like response times is what worries you?@Yahtzee

I mean, what can I say, Imma badass. :P No, but in all seriousness it's not even that bad, the city just flooded three weeks ago and all this rain coming in probably means we'll flood again. My house is on high ground, so I doubt I'll get flooded, but if I lose electricity/interent it will take foreeeeeeever to get fixed because the power/phone company won't be able to get to the problem. Y'know, because, water and stuff.

I lived through hurricane Ike. No electricity for like two weeks, and no internet for like a month. Have Fun. Stay Safe.@Emma

I lived through Ike too! I was only out of power for like a week though. Rita was the one that kept me in the dark for like two weeks, but my school closed down and we never had to make it up, so I kinda liked that one. Played a lot of game-boy that hurricane. :) Also, if I don't reply for like a week, you have my full permission to kill off my character, so she doesn't stall your game!

You're perfectly fine, just worry about staying safe. I used to live in Florida, hurricanes are gnarly and drab and totally not worth the time. 8) @corrosive

Thanks for being so understanding! I just got my post up.

Hope it's not as bad as it may seem. I know we get plenty of flood warnings in my area that sometimes end up being just caution. Last time I had mother nature huffing and hawing in my area....I slept through it. Was a tornado that tore through a neighborhood literally a stone's throw from my house. Like, three streets from me. Then there was the earthquake I slept through...I miss all the fun stuff.@ramblingbard

You must be a really heavy sleeper! And yeah, the weather people do get a little over excited about this stuff, so I'm not super worried. Plus, my hurricane survival pantry is pretty fierce, so I think I'll survive. :D
