Oliver Sullivan

Location: The Roof - Quinjet -> Hallway
Skills: Molecular Oscillation, Superspeed

The best Oliver could gather from Cass's response was that there was no plan with what they would do when they captured the American icon, so that only consolidated his position more. They couldn't go through with this. The man had fought in World War II, and they were supposed to take him into the government under controversial legislation because they were ostensibly soldiers, and soldiers followed orders. Was this on the same order as the Nazis? No, of course not, not yet, but it could get there. People like him, Inhumans or mutants, were born with powers, how long until they were forced to register too? Being a man of logic, he was careful of slippery slopes, but this felt like it was an actual one, and he didn't like it.

As Cass left the Quinjet, Oli wasn't far behind. If something was up, he wasn't gonna be on the sidelines, even if fighting wasn't his forte. Watching the scene unfold in front of him, his body began to vibrate, brilliant blue lightning crackling around his eyes. He didn't know who these people were, but they were a threat, and he had to deal with that. Taking a step towards the young one, his body began to vibrate, and he was met with sharp blades being thrown his way. Swallowing hard, he decided that he wasn't the one to fuck with. Instead, he switched his attention to the girl still standing, and grabbed her, trying out a new trick. Drawing breath, he matched her natural frequency to that of the floor beneath her, and shifted her out of phase, sending her through the ground. Punching the air, he said, "Fuck yeah, that actually worked?" Zipping away and downstairs, he locked onto her, and socked her in the cheek, before saying, "Sorry about that, give up now, and I won't have to hurt you any more, okay?"

Elizabeth Flame

Jungle
Skills: Transmutation, Gun Arm

As they were transported into the Jungle, Elizabeth groaned, seeing they came up short in terms of luck. She didn't want to be in the hot insect ridden dangerscape that this would end up being, but she would deal with it. As she was handed a stick, she looked down at it and squinted. Wood was weird and she honestly didn't know if she would be able to do anything here. "I'll see what I can do, give me a second." She said, before gripping it with both hands, and closing her eyes. The material was porous, and springy, and only one of those things she could change, try to make it hard and strong. Sliding her hands down the stick, it turned to a metal, but still with the texture and look of a stick.

Smiling down at it she remarked, "I'd do some good work as an artist." thinking out loud, before looking back up, and realized that the world didn't stop when she wasn't paying attention. How rude of it. Carolina had been attacked, and her brain went into offense mode. Gripping the stick with her real hand, she charged at the beast, and drove the stick through its eye, before looking at the other one, and firing a blast at it, knocking it back. "Sorry about that, I'll try to pay better attention. Here." She said, pulling the stick back and handing it over to her.

Arthur flinched as the Gryphon crashed onto their ship, not ready for another fight. His hand trembled towards his knife, but as Rebecca started to tend towards it, he relaxed a bit. It was good to see that this wasn't all fighting and death, but that they were trying to help things too. He was a bit scared to approach it but as he was directed to help Rebecca care for it, he gave a nervous look over towards it, keeping his distance. He nodded at his directions, not at all minding putting some distance between him and the beast, and headed down towards the cargo hold.

As he entered, he realized he had no idea what kind of herbs he was looking for, so he was kind of in a tough situation. He wasn't an apothecary by any means, so sending him down with no real instructions might not have been the best idea. Rummaging through barrels and working his way back, he eventually found something back there that looked vaguely herb shaped. Figuring that was his best shot, he grabbed as much of it as he could manage, and started heading back to the deck, taking a breath for a moment as he did. It was nice to be away from everyone, giving him a chance to just calm down and decompress.

Elizabeth kept herself from rolling her eyes as the Thanes said they were going to discuss it. Forcing herself away from the table, before something happened with Dailsy, though she couldn't be sure what. Stifling a laugh, she made her way back over to the steaming girl, before taking a seat saying, "I have no idea what happened, but calm down. They're going to kick you out if you keep this up, and you should really stick around." She said, before sighing. Blood was so unsettling for a meal, but she was in luck, as she was unable to see it.

Drumming her fingers on the table, she said, "You should learn not to react so quickly, there are options better than stabbing people who upset you, you know." She chastised. She'd rather have torched the man's room, or otherwise prank him. Respawing the way they did meant that, while painful, death was nothing to be actually upset at. "Just, try to be creative next time, I know you can do it if you put your mind to it." She teased, sticking her tongue out.

Oliver Sullivan

"Hold please," Oliver said, and he covered the receiver to the phone, and called out, "I'll be a second, Tony Stark wants my attention." He was surprised Iron Man wasn't in the loop, but he might be able to use this to his advantage. Stepping towards the door, he waved into the hall, and closed it, giving them some privacy. Picking the phone back up to his ear he said, "I don't know if you've noticed Mr. Stark, but the world's gone tits up in the last couple of hours, and Good ol' Captain America is currently a fugitive. Shield is conducting an investigation and manhunt." He explained, choosing his words carefully

"Did you just tell me to hold? What are you a customer service hotline? And you do realize hunting Cap is typically regarded as a bad idea right?"

Oliver smiled at that, "That's a good point Mr. Stark, it is a bad idea to try to hunt down a super soldier that probably has the Avengers backing them, borderline extra judicially." He agreed, "It'd be a shame if somebody were to make that more difficult than it already was." He gave a poignant pause. "Are you hearing me, Mr. Stark?"

"What exactly are you trying to accomplish then agent? Since I could have told you that Cap wasn't at that apartment, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that."

Oliver paused for a moment, before saying, "I'm not very happy with this arrangement myself Sir. Being... the spawn of Thanos, Shield seems uncomfortable with my existence. That puts me between a rock and a hard place, if I don't help, I doubt they'll tolerate me for long, and if I do, I'm going up against Captain America, so I'm here to help. " He put special emphasis on that last word, before continuing, "If you had any insight as to where Cap might be, I'd pass that along to Agent Reed, and I''m sure we'd go right there, no questions asked."

"I have no idea where he could have gone if he's not at his apartment, good luck finding him though."

Oliver sighed for a moment, before pinching the bridge of his nose, and saying, "Well, thank you for your help, and please, reach out if there's anything I should know."

"Will do, oh and one last thing. Just a general reminder because of how often we seem to have these phone calls don't hack anything that you clearly shouldn't, got it?"

"Is it hacking if Cap leaves his credentials saved on an unencrypted laptop that has his birthday as the password? You really need to do some kind of Avengers Security seminar..."

"I would consider that hacking yes."

"Well, I promise to only hack the Avengers if it's absolutely necessary, if that makes you feel better." Oliver responded dryly. "If that's all, please stay safe Mr. Stark, I think we're at an inflection point, these are scary times." He said seriously, between Hill's Laws, and skrulls, and Thanos, there were tectonic shifts happening underneath them, and it would be too easy to fall through.

"Don't hack the Avengers. Ever. Since when you think it's necessary it actually isn't," he responded, before he hung up the phone.

Oliver exhaled, before slipping his phone into his pocket, hoping his intentions were clear enough after that conversation. Reopening the door, and heading back up to the roof, he exhaled, and stepped back into the jet, "Stark really doesn't like people fucking with Avenger's shit." He said, exasperated, before taking a seat, and logging into his own laptop. He wanted to see if he could clone the sim of that phone, but it seemed like it was fried. Nothing was going his way today, it seemed, but even without, he could at least get at that hard drive. He wanted to see what Cap had on the Winter Solider, figuring that was vaguely important to everything going on. Unfortunately, when it rains, it pours, and his computer was deciding to be a laggy piece of shit.

In the mean time, he frowned. He remembered that that Spiderman was from Queens, the one Deadpool wanted to talk to last Christmas. He knew he had seen the number, and he was almost certain he could remember it. Closing his eyes for a moment, he thought, before hazarding a guess, and firing off, "Hey, is this Peter Parker?" from a proxied number. Quickly, he phone buzzed, and he exhaled in annoyance. If it was Peter, he was a memer, as it said, "Is this the Krusty Krab." Rubbing his temples, he closed his eyes, deciding to try again after he calmed himself down a touch.

Danger Room -> Jungle
Skills: Transmutation

Elizabeth stood up as Rhinos burst into the room, ready to actually put up a fight this time and not run. Sure, massive fucking animals were scary and all, but not the kind of "run for your life and don't look back" kind of scary that insects were. Leveling her arm art them, she was ready to take a shot at the monsters, before Bethany dealt with the problem herself. Grinning, she turned her head and said, "That was absolutely wicked, nice work!" She nodded and smiled at her. Shadow travel seemed like a pretty cool power to have, especially if it could be used to clear rooms like that. Now she just had to hope that they wouldn't come back.

Stepping towards the hole, Elizabeth said, "I might be able to do something about that, give me a minute." Peering over at it and holding her hands out, she approached the rim of it. Transmutation was still something she was learning to master, but hopefully it would prove useful here. Resting her hand on the edges of the hole, she started massaging and working the matter, trying to coax is closer and closer together to patch the hole the rhinos made. It felt a bit like stretching pizza dough, the matter wanted to generally move how she wanted it to, but it also wanted to spring back, and if she applied too much pressure, it felt like she'd tear a new hole. Being careful, she settled for just shrinking it enough to hopefully keep something out. "There, this should make things a bit better." Walking back over she picked up the dice, and gave them a roll. "Let's do this then!" She said, as the dice came up as an eleven, and as he piece finished moving, the riddle came out:

In the jungle you must wait
Until the dice read five or eight.

That never was a good outcome to receive, and unfortunately for everyone, since people were paired up, this resulted in not one, but two people receiving the outcome. One minute Elizabeth and Carolina were both there, the next they were gone in a flash of light as they ended up trapped within the game itself. To them, they'd be able to see themselves surrounded by trees in a large jungle of sorts, and nearby there was the sounds of something moving through the trees, heading straight for them, but they couldn't see what it was.

As Rebecca queried for their star signs, a thought crossed Arthur's head. Were star signs actually relevant now? He'd admit, he had no idea what his own was. He didn't want to start turning to faith in that way to get him through things, but if it was somehow possible to glimpse the future through something like that, he'd be willing to try it. He needed some certainty in his life right now, and if star signs or fortune telling could get him that, he'd take it. Pausing for a moment, he said, "The Twelfth of September, I'm not sure what that makes me though." He admitted, turning away from the horizon and looking at them.

He wasn't particularly hungry still, mostly not wanting to eat after everything they'd been through today. Walking towards the group though, he tried to get himself to not go all lone wolf on them. He wanted to ignore all of them and escape, but he new that wouldn't be healthy or good, especially if he ended up actually leaving them all at some point. He'd need to get self sufficient, and if monsters were going to be hunting him, he wouldn't be able to be that in the state he was in. Self defense was the most important thing for him to master, and he knew that the people here could get him there.

Beth had to keep herself from rolling her eyes. Prophetic visions didn't tend to come with evidence, but that didn't mean she shouldn't be taken on her word, "Well, I did this." She started to say, reaching out and bringing out the runes she had drawn, "I wasn't sure if my vision was a dream or not, so I used some magic to confirm." She slid the paper across the table to Lief. She may be a daughter of Loki, but she didn't make a habit of lying to people in power about serious matters. This wasn't her kind of prank, and she hoped that the Thanes weren't stupid enough to think that it was.

Crossing her arms she continued to say, "I get if you don't want to believe me, I'm making a big claim here." She conceded, "But consider this: If I'm right, and you do nothing, you're part of the reason the world ends." She knew that that was an aggressive argumentation strategy, but it was required here. If she was right, and they did nothing, countless would die, their godly parents included. Guilt, she found, was an incredibly effective motivator, and there wasn't much that could make a person feel guiltier than implying that they'd be responsible for death on a scale hitherto undreamt of.

As they entered the residence of Captain America, a look of relief crossed Oliver's face, clearly glad that they wouldn't have to showdown with the super soldier. Scanning around the room he nodded when his attention was directed towards the laptop. Nodding, he sat down in front of it and said, "Hey guys, who thinks his laptop password is the same as his WiFi?" He asked playfully, typing away at the keyboard, before it opened up, revealing a picture of FDR and his desktop. Getting to work, he started digging. Particularly of note, he saw that there was a login to the Avengers' database, and some credentials for him to... appropriate.

Never one to pass up a good thing, he copied them down to his phone, and started his search. Shortly after however, the computer blue screened and he cursed. "God damn it. BSOD, if we want to gain anything from this I won't be able to get it now." Giving a huff, he turned his attention to Cap's phone and face palmed. "And the old man can't keep a charge on his damn phone. So shit." He said, pocketing the device. He'd be able to charge it at some point though, and hopefully it would have useful information when he did. "I might be able to get more info later, but as it stands now, we're shit out of luck."

Danger Room
Skills: N/A

Elizabeth started to calm down as more people filed into the Danger room, and as they did her face turned bright red. She didn't mean to have run away like that, but it was more of an instinctual response than anything else. Bugs grossed her out, and bugs that were gigantic terrified her more than anybody could possibly describe. She averted her eyes from the group for a moment, before saying, "S-sorry about that. I just.. got scared." She hated running from problems, it wasn't the type of person she wanted to be, but some things just took her over and compelled her to act. "I promise not to let that happen again, is everyone alright?" She asked, looking over all who entered.

Standing up from her near fetal position, she inhaled, and let out a deep sigh. As least this room was spacious enough for her to look around and feel safe. She wasn't claustrophobic by any means, but open spaces were better than tight and confined ones for calming down. She thought that perhaps what had triggered such a strong emotional response might have been the fact that those mosquitoes really were a cross of two of her biggest fears, needles and bugs. The idea of being pierced by one of them and having her blood sucked out sent a kind of chill through her that she hadn't quite experienced before. Hopefully then, this would not be a repeated event, and she could leave this problem behind her.
