I have a few character ideas floating around so i might have a go at whipping up a character sheet at some point.
The wait is also tempting me to try out for another character since i'm down to only America now but who knows...
Is anyone else planning on timing in with the Avenger's training beat down? I didn't really wish to really further the situation in my last post because i didn't know if anyone else was coming. I can continue the fight though if needed with another post?
@DrewVonAwesome He'd appreciate some actual competition.

It would seem that her response had satisfied the fellow superhero, as before long the two had taken to the skies and were beginning their flight towards wherever the Avenger’s headquarters was. As they moved through the air, Hyperion spoke, continuing to explain to America what was going on. They were heading to the Triskellion, where Hyperion here was meant to test the newfound team. The thought confused America slightly. Honestly she couldn’t see the point of being tested on their teamwork so early. She didn’t even know who the team would even comprise of. Other than Hyperion and Falcon… no Captain America, she couldn’t for the life of her give the names of any other heroes that were on this Earth. Maybe that Hawkeye chico that Hyperion spoke of was to be part of the team? She thought on what he had said about the guy. The best marksman in the world? That title was surely Avengers worthy. The guy also seemed to use a bow, so that at least gave him a unique flare. If America hadn’t just watched Kate wield such a weapon to such a high standard, she would have laughed at the idea, but now it didn’t really seem so strange.

Still, this Hawkeye wouldn’t even be attending this little test, so America still had no idea what to expect. She decided not to worry about it, since maybe that was the whole point; to see how she would react to being suddenly thrust in an unknown situation.

Focusing on her flying, America realized that she had been subconsciously increasing it speed, much like Hyperion in front of her. It didn’t take a genius to see that he was testing her. Testing to see how fast she could go. What she was capable of. These guys really took Avenger’s tryouts seriously! Not wishing to show off, she continued to follow suit; gradually increasing her over time. She was surprised to find that the two of them kept getting faster. America had expected him to reach his peak speed sometime around now, but he just kept going. This led to her frowning slightly once a building appeared in the distance. It would seem that they wouldn’t end up finding out who was faster today. Obviously she was going to be the winner though.

The two soon descended outside of the Triskellion, America looking around excitably as they did so. She was keen to see this new team. To catch a single glance at another of this Earth’s heroes. It was during this that she noticed the Quinjets that had been following them touching down a few metres away. Out from the back came all of the agents that had entered the penthouse; with both Quentin and Kate taking up the rear. While Kate was still too teary eyed to notice her, the mutant telepath could her eye. He gave her a crafty wink, before miming himself getting hanged with a noose. Obviously Quentin’s views on S.H.I.E.L.D. hadn’t changed.

Turning her attention away from her new friends, America found herself having to quickly catch up with Hyperion who had swiftly made his way through the front entrance. They passed a towering statue as they did so. Captain America. The original one anyway. It would seem that he had existed on this Earth after all. Shame they never found him. Maybe they hadn’t ended up searching…

Again, America realized that she would need to stay close to Hyperion due to the labyrinth of corridors that lay ahead of them. She tried to follow swift, staring intently at every agent that passed as she did so. Before long, the duo arrived at a set of doors. This was it. The caped hero moved towards a keypad, typing in a series of numbers, while America waited beside him, shifting impatiently on her feet. She tried to remain calm, however inside she was a sack of nerves. This was the big league. As tough as she knew that she was, most of the guys inside this room would probably be tougher. More powerful. Superheroes.

As the door slid open, she took a deep breath. She stepped inside. In front of her was her new team. She frowned. This hadn’t been what she had expected. Before she could express her opinion however, Hyperion spoke from behind her, announcing that it was time to begin. At once the room was illuminated by a bright red light, as two beams of energy shot from the man’s eyes. What’s more, they were heading directly for her. The beams hit her hard, sending his flying backwards across the room, her falling body tearing into the floor.

Groaning, she lifted herself up from the small crater which she had creating. This was certainly going to be interesting.
Might just try and get a post up tomorrow regardless actually
I've already mentioned wanting a solo Human Torch series, but other characters/concepts I'd love to see Marvel push would include Sandman, a solo Black Bolt [which would be quite a challenge since he doesn't speak], Cannonball, Capt. Universe, the Imperial Guard, Blue Marvel, Giant Man [no not Ant Man lol], Avengers Academy, Spirits of Vengeance [all the other Ghost Riders throughout time], Marvel Boy, a decent New Warriors, etc...

You probably already know this, but Blue Marvel is in Ultimates now. Which i know isn't a solo series but due to the small nature of the team they may end up focusing on him quite a bit, especially since a few of the other members have their own solos!

The new Giant Man is making an appearance in the next Astonishing Ant-Man which should be good, as despite his limited appearances, he seems like an alright kind of guy. Who knows, maybe they'll give him a bigger role in the future?

Speaking of which, is Hank still floating through space as Ultron or something?

Really really want to see more of Avengers Academy, although after Avengers Arena/Undercover, I doubt that'll be happening any time soon. Fortunately with Nico becoming more popular with her being in A-force, we might even get another Runaways appearance or run in the future!

So in terms of Avengers...

@Bright_Ops is on his way after a collab with me, @FacePunch is beating the shit out of them and @Natty is there. You with us @Gowi, I know you've had some issues as of late so we can always keep Ant-Man out of it for now if you want.

Now I really don't want to hold out on posting any longer, but if Loki, Ant-man, and Falcap are about to turn up, should i wait?
<Snipped quote by The Kid Lantern>

Oh... I thought the story was Reed traveled with Franklin to bring back the alternate realities in space....

Eh whatever, still tired of Marvel's crap.

Yep, that's where Reed, Sue, and all the Foundation kids are at! So yeah, it is feasible for them to return at some point, whether Marvel actually lets that happen though is another matter.

I just like Marvel's approach in the comics. Can't use the F4 and X-Men in the ways they want? And only Spiderman when they pay Sony? Now we have Venom, the Thing, and Shadowcat on the Guardians of the Galaxy as well as the Human Torch and Beast on the Uncanny Inhumans. I'd have never imagined that would be an option LOL

Yeah i do really like the way they've been used as it does really seem to work!

Overall I guess I'm not too bothered by All New All Different Marvel. I really do like some of the stuff they're putting out now!
Back after a shitty few weeks, so i'll get to posting as Casey when I can! Apologies for the inconvenience!
Hey guys! I'm really sorry for disappearing but i've just had a really sucky past few weeks. I'm feeling better now though, and what's more is that i have a weeks holiday so i'll have time to get back into the swing of things!

And @Natty have YOU seen THIS?!?

I didn't know all of the Young Avengers were also gonna be in this. Definitely getting this game for my 6 year old now LOL. You'd think they could get away with using the Jim Hammond android version of the Human Torch for Disney/Marvel licensed stuff...

~KL~

Yeah I did I was so happy when they originally announced her for the game a few months ago (albeit that at the time she had been white-washed). Got it during my time off as i needed something to take my mind off things so I've managed to play the game for a few hours. Unlocked her the first chance I got :P Her portal creation powers in the game, as well as the new Ultimates series have partially inspired me for future America posts!

Also in regards to Academy, was slightly disappointed when they announced the game to see that it wouldn't have anything to do with the actual Avengers Academy students!

This doesn't stop them from using Wolverine once in awhile on Ultimate Spiderman Web Warriors, or Deadpool, but those seem to be the only two properties Marvel cared enough about to incorporate in their animated universe of shows. And getting rights to use two mutants rather than an entire team I'm sure is much cheaper. The X-Men weren't even mentioned by those two in the episodes they appeared in.

Thought i'd just say, the Fantastic Four showed up in an episode or two of Agents of S.M.A.S.H, as well as the Thing in an episode of Ultimate Spider-man :P Pretty sure that they'll never be seen again though!

As much as I dislike the decision, I guess Marvel getting rid of them is pretty understandable considering things. Was originally annoyed at the way they did it though as it wasn't until the final issue of Secret Wars that they actually revealed what happened to Reed and Sue, so up until then you had no idea what was even going on! For a time I thought the Maker was going to be replacing the 616 Reed (a decision i wouldn't have minded too much actually)

So maybe they'll return in a year or two?

As for my return to posting? Possibly this weekend!
