Jack's smile grew wider as she got a fun response from Orion, and when Reya started laughing she couldn't help but join in. When she recovered a bit more from the giggles, she grinned while looking back and forth between the not-couple. "Is that so? Lucky me." she said, knitting her fingers together and cupping the back of her head as she walked with them.
Sorry for the long absence, hectic week. Working on a post now.

"I'm good to go." Jack answered when Reya asked whether or not she or her big friend needed to grab anything from storage. Speaking of Reya's big friend, Jack turned back to face him, still following behind Reya while walking backwards. "So, like she said, I'm Jack. What's you're name? she asked, giving him an appraising look from his feet up to the peak of his considerable height. After settling her eyes on his face, she smiled mischievously before heckling them a tiny bit. "You two dating?"

When the curtain went up and the Headmaster started his speech, a pained look crossed Jack's face in the early stages of the oration. When he discarded the self-sabotaging script and started to ad lib, things got much better and Jack started to actually listen properly.

It wasn't as though anything that Arrun said was wrong, necessarily, but it rubbed Jack the wrong way. Maybe she was taking it the wrong way, but she didn't think so. All the talk about enthusiasm, wasted potential, opening doors... it just felt like he was grilling them about their motivations and piling on expectations. Is there really anything wrong with being here just because? You waste even more energy if you hurry through the wrong door, so to speak. 'Gah, I am so done with this doors metaphor.'

Standing as the freshman greeting was concluded, Jack filed out with the crowd of students that had chosen not to remain and talk with the staff. Since their seats were close together, it didn't take her long to spot Reya's parasol expanding as she exited the auditorium. Seeing as they seemed to be headed in the same direction, she figured it'd be nice to walk with someone she kinda-sorta knew.

"Hey, you headed to the buffet too?

Name: Lucrezia Barbajada
Age: Ara ara~ it's rude to ask nee-san that~
Gender: Female
Race: Bear-girl / Kumamimi

Appearance: Picture
Height: 160 cm
Weight: 66 kg
Hair color: Light Brown, with the tips of her ears and tail darkening slightly
Eye color: Green
Skin tone: Fair
Misc: If (heaven forbid) circumstances force her to take up arms in defence of the princess, she augments her regular uniform with an armored breastplate.

Personality: The vast majority of people get to see the professional side of Lucrezia; a competent, level-headed, dedicated servant of the princess of Graelian. This is for the most part a faithful representation of who she is, however the princess and a privileged few of the serving staff are aware of another side to her. Lucrezia is fond of wild rumors (hearing them, anyways. She has the discretion not to spread such baseless shlock), and though she is deeply protective of the princess she is prone to teasing her behind closed doors, often about potential romantic interests.

- Likes: Bishonen / bishoujo, cute clothes (ideally worn by bishonen / bishoujo), when things run according to schedule, honey, salacious or outlandish rumors
- Dislikes: Couples that flaunt their happiness, half-finished jobs, excessive mess, people who mention her age and/or marital status, slander (distinct and separate from salacious rumors)

Background: Born into a servile family, as soon as Lucrezia was of an age to understand and complete simple tasks she was expected to. Employed by the royal family of Graelian, she quickly grasped the routines of the castle and the duties required of her. Her talent for it and her work ethic allowed her to quickly move through the servants' hierarchy, becoming the head maid in her early adolescence.

Then came the bundle of joy, the young princess Sfogliatine Zucchero Graelian was born as heir to the royal throne. Needless to say, a newborn child requires a lot of care and attention, a fair bit of which was provided by the newly appointed head maid: diapers cleaned, bottle warmed, baby burped, vomit cleaned, etc. One might think that the princess would become less difficult to care for as she grew into a toddler and then a young child, but with her unquenchable curiosity and adventurous spirit she was as much of a hassle as ever. Even now, as she matures into a young lady, Solia can still prove to be a handful.

When the princess' parents passed away suddenly, the entirety of the kingdom mourned, but this mourning was perhaps most keenly felt within the castle's walls. Their passing wounded Lucrezia, but never once did she show just how deeply; she only showed a weak, melancholic smile as she tried to help the grieving Solia however she could.

Now, with the situation embroiled as it is, it seems that changes are on the horizon with the princess' decision to call forth mighty heroes.

--- Powers and Abilities ---

Position: Head Maid
Affinity: Earth
Physical Fitness: Great
Magic Potential: Low
Weapon Specialization: Tonfa, Kanabo

--- Special Attacks ---

Name: Stoneshatter Impact
Type: Melee, Ground-based
Desc: A technique that only functions against enemies who stand on terra firma; Stoneshatter Impact enhances a melee strike so that at the same time it makes contact with the enemy, the nearby ground strikes up at them with equal and opposite direction to that of the melee blow in a pincer attack (i.e. if they are struck with an overhand blow, the ground directly beneath them will surge up; whereas if they`re struck on their front-left side, the ground behind them and to the right will thrust up at them). Though it has practically no set-up time, the hefty fatigue it generates limits how much it can be used.

Name: Earthsplitting Eruption
Type: Short-ranged, Ground-based
Desc: Another technique that only functions against enemies in contact with the ground. Drawing Frala into her emblem, converting it to bright power and focusing that power in her weapon. After charging the power she strikes the ground with her weapon, creating a spiderweb of cracks where she hit. A moment later the ground in a 45° arc in front of her and erupts upwards in a field of spiky boulders. Although the violent rearrangement of the ground and the sudden appearence of the spiky boulders can potentially injure anyone caught within, the real value of this technique is how difficult the terrain is to traverse thereafter. While extremely fit people (knights, heroes, etc.) likely would have no trouble navigating the obstacle, regular foot soldiers would find it nearly impassable.
