Usurui Brown bears are 1500 pounds of raw, furious fur and muscle...and likely Vodka, since they are native to Russia.

Asiatic black bears nest in trees so that they don't get eaten by tigers o.O
The royal servants were bustling, not a single set of idle hands between them. Today was a momentous day, even for those among the staff that didn't know precisely what was planned. Guest chambers that hadn't seen use in years were cleaned top to bottom and nearly completely renovated, decked with richly upholstered furnitures and finely woven rugs. The chefs had begun preparing a feast since before the crack of dawn, ostensibly to celebrate the newly started war games. Grand things were in motion. In amidst that furor the buxom Head Maid moved unhurriedly between tasks, checking the progress of her subordinates.

"Do you have enough of the yellow cloth the Princess liked? she asked as she dipped her head into a room where a half dozen maids toiled with bolts of cloth, sewing needles, and thread. "Yes, but it's sort of..." one of the seamstresses trailed off, holding the garish fabric in her hands. In a imperious and final tone, Lucrezia replied, "It is what the Princess decided on. If you have enough of that cloth to finish your work, I have other things that need attending."

With those words, Lucrezia left the room. After a few strides into the hall, when she was sure she was alone, her stern facade became rosy as she stifled a chuckle. The fabric the Princess had chosen was terribly gaudy, and the mental image of a hero dressed in the vibrant yellow was more than a little entertaining. Wetting her lips lightly she rebuilt her composure and entered into the armory.

"Have the treasure swords been properly prepared?" she asked, casting her eyes between her most trusted maids, assigned the task of readying one of their nations dearest possessions for the coming heroes. In an air of silent reverence the lieutenant maids nodded gravely. With their affirmation, Lucrezia smiled a very different smile from the private one before; one of thin-lipped satisfaction.

"Good."
Alright, my PF marathon is finished and today is a statutory holiday where I live, so hopefully I'll have a post up today.

Jack nodded once before answering the girl from Vacuo, "Yeah, we're all alums from Signal. Anyways, pleased to meet'cha Sayuri." When Arara, Alistair, and another boy trickled in one by one to join the group, Jack smiled a bit wider and nodded to the questions about feeling prepared. "'Morning." She didn't recognize the last arrival, but when he introduced himself to the group it became clear that she wasn't the only one. Taking the offered hand firmly and giving it a solid shake, Jack kept up her grin as she reciprocated the introduction. "Well Isaac, I'm Jack. pleased to meet'cha. Haven't heard a thing about the initiation though."
Alright, I intend to get a post up by tonight. As a heads-up though, this weekend looks to be very busy for me. Much of my time is going to be consumed by being a badass barbarian princess who kills all the things. Pathfinder is rad.
Cool, looking forward to this. Post soon.
EDIT: Actually, probably shortly after Skink posts, to make things easier for everyone.
ERode said Sure, Kalimay was a half-human beast, but it was alright for Arara to call her by name. After all, that was the methodology of proper master, to interact with the lowly subhumans.

Am I missing something here? Kalimay is human on her character sheet.

Last night's buffet was good, as far as buffets go. With Miss Patch's forewarning about the morning initiation, Jack took the opportunity to carb-load, piling mainly pasta and veggies onto her plate. She didn't eat voraciously, but the quantity was enough to raise a few eyebrows. When morning came she ate a more modest meal, a banana and a glass of OJ.

After breakfast she found the shower rooms, cleaned herself off, got dressed and did a run-through of the gear she'd need. "Axe? Check. Other axe? Check." Good to go. She slid Blunderbore into its loop at her hip, and hooked Thunderdell on the hanger at the small of her back. Everything else was extra, she didn't sweat the small stuff.

After everything was prepped Jack headed down to the docks. When they came into view she saw a few faces she recognized and hustled her pace a bit. "Morning Reya, Kalimay. There was also a third person who Jack hadn't met, but she held off on the introductions when she noticed the heavy air between the two Signal grads. I guess she wasn't kidding when she said it wasn't me. Jack didn't really know anything about Kalimay, so whatever was getting her down was beyond understanding.

Trying to change tracks and keep the mood from taking a nosedive, Jack spoke up to the girl she didn't know. "Hey, I don't think we've met. I'm Jack, how about you?"
