BiographySean grew up with two loving parents who during his childhood gave him most things he pointed at. His family weren't rich or anything, but having a lawyer for a mom paid the bills and was enough to make sure their boy was happy. Sean got the toys he wanted and as he grew up and found an interest for singing they paid he got the singing lessons he wanted as well. But having a mother who was a lawyer also meant that he quickly learned to follow rules. She was strict, but most of the time Sean didn't mind. It taught him to appreciate everything he was handed in life.
In school he was mostly liked and quickly found friends. Or at least other people viewed him as such, he just didn't reciprocate their feelings. It felt more of an obligation to be the one others wanted to be around, like he was the pillar of the social hierarchy in school. He joined all the clubs someone with his status should join, and though he didn't dislike them, he didn't really feel passionate about them. Except his singing of course, and basketball which he quickly took a liking to.
After the coach almost kicked him off the team for his lacking skill in the sport, Booker, one of his teammates offered to help. The coach gave Sean one more chance to prove himself at the next game. And with the help of Booker, who became his first genuine friendship, he slowly improved and when the game approached their team won and the coach, though barely, let Sean stay on the team.
Booker introduced him to his group of friends and Sean quickly found his place among them. But not everyone in the group was welcoming , which he quickly noticed from the glares and small comments thrown at him. He couldn't really do much about it, since, he by that time, not only had found more friends in the group, but also fallen in love with Booker. He knew how fragile social structures could be, after all, he had been the center of a few himself, and didn't want to do anything to disturb that balance.
But now, years later when the group have decided to go on one, last roadtrip together, Sean knew that time is running out and soon their little group of friends will go their seperate ways. Maybe it is finally time to reveal his feelings before it is too late...?
Relationships Between Friends•
Booker Alphonse Sharp• "You're the best. Never change."
• Booker is kind of Sean's anchor to most things, and he's the one who introduced him to the rest of the group. They met when Sean joined the basketball team and bonded when Booker helped him become good enough to stay on the team. He's one of the few people who have been there for him and despite seeing Sean's weaknesses, still wants to be around him. Booker was Sean's first friendship and eventually also became his first love, though Booker don't know this yet.
•
Quinn Kathleen Bedford• "Stop laughing...I can't breath."
• Quinn was quick to make Sean feel welcome in their little group of friends and they clicked almost instantly. They rarely have a dull moment when together. Sean know he can always talk to her and highly values her advice. Still he's keeping a huge secret, the one that he actually needs to talk about, but can't. He's in love with her boyfriend, and because of that he sometimes pulls away. He really would like to become closer with her though.
•
Harrison John 'Harry' Roosevelt• "I like your writing and you're cool...when you're not all weird and creepy and stuff."
• Sean had a hard time to understand Harry initially, and still does sometimes, but after Harry found some of his lyrics he wrote on his phone, they both bonded over writing. Maybe songwriting really wasn't his thing and Sean didn't really understand poetry and novels that well, but they still understood the passion for writing. Sean trusts Harry since they are friends, but he's worried that the lyrics he shows him maybe have clues of his feelings for Booker and he doesn't really know what Harry would do with that information if he figured out his secret.
•
Amelia Hess • "She is like a mixture of a great friend and a mom, but I guess I need it."
• Amelia was the one that Sean had a hard time to get to know in the group. She was quiet and well, he was not. But as time progressed and they became more comfortable in each other's company he noticed this caring, though a bit smothering at times, side of her. And let's face it, without her, who would stop him to do stupid shit?
•
Ryan Ander Shaw• "You always gets us in trouble, but heck, it's worth it."
• Ryan has this ability to convince Sean to follow him into almost any kind of mischief he's up to. Sean likes Ryan's adventorous side and that he doesn't seem to be bothered by all the insecurities that he is suffering from. But then again, when Ryan aims one of his occasional insensitive comment towards him, Sean has a hard time to not get hurt by his words.
