..I have a question...ok more of a Canon observation. Most captains and Lts are Kido Experts. mostly Lts. of the several listed Masters there was one Liutenant. but it was Hachi who was LT of the kido corps. i personally believe another Lt should be on that list but idk how current you are in the manga so i wont risk spoiling. so my question is, does your definition/ranking of Masters and Experts differ from the cannon or are they long similar lines? because the way you explained it in the OOC confused me. The way I see it.
a Zanjutsu master. can learn all the ways to cut people. but still be held accountable to the "when two spiritual pressures collide the weaker is repelled" Law of spirit energy. Its really only a matter of technique and skill. not necessarily power(energy)..that and its a title reserved for captains (and ichigo, renji and ikakku)
a Hakudo master can learn all the punches and kicks but presumably be held to the same law with the exception that damage becomes relative to the power distance. mastery is mostly based on the ability and skill to fight unarmed. you can put force and power behind your techniques sure but the main part of the style of combat is the body.
These two are somewhat self regulated and rely on technique. however at the same time they can basically be attained based solely on custom skills and rank (for zanjutsu)
Hoho is just speed without the help of zanpakuto abilities. and doesnt really apply to this issue. especially since all the hoho skills are captain level.
but Kido is limited to the amount of power the shinigami has, as well as their control. So a master would have to have suitable control as well as power to" use high level spells to great effect without an incantation, and use multiple spells in rapid succession" as the wiki describes a master. So there seems to be a imbalance in mastering Kido as opposed to the other two. its a harder road.
And i realized, I think im the only one taking the road. I dont know if anyone else took advantage of the Mastery plan. but because power is rank based so too is Kido. which brings me to my dilema. Gio is kind of Boxed in in terms of Kido. I had hoped, and still do, for Gio to be the Grand Kido Chief and of course its still far off. but its hard to gauge his progress in this regard. That’s really the thing that bugs me. I just want to know where he stands.
for the sake of comparison, we have the kenpachi. in my opinion its equivalent to the GCK in that it represents the pinnacle of a single method of combat. same can be said for Flash Master. while we dont have a flashmaster (kurisa is the closest i think) i dont think. we have a kenpachi who is a captain already so there really is no disputing the title, especially now. but for Gio he would probably have to contend with another captain for the title. im not counting Juki or the temp captains though.
sorry for the length. i just had to get this out
