I've been really busy, but I'm otherwise good!

I finally have the time to work on my post, so without further ado, I'm off to get it done. :D
As fun as it was to snowboard, Bruce knew he would have to leave soon, return to the daily grind. It was unfortunate, but all too true. With a sigh, caught by the wind at his face, he skidded to a sharp stop. As he was near the bottom, he let himself slide down until he reached it, glancing over to Barbara hoping that in some way, it would alert her. Bruce leaned down, unbuckling the board, making sure to avoid the pathway if other snowboarders.
Awesomness Lamb!!

And, my post should be up after I'm done eating. I meant to have it up sooner, but RL got in the way...
Alrighty!

My post should be up later, I do have some stuff to take care of though, so it may not be up soon. By the way, I must say that I'm really happy to be a part of such a great roleplaying team.
Yeah I could definitely see that, but she already has her special Sryinge..so

That, and a pocketknife.
Thank you Stitches, it was a bit hard to write the backstory in, but it seemed a good moment to do so. It was the breaking point that Dan had been holding back, and I'm glad that he was able to let go with dignity. Especially with a little girl who needed so badly to hear the words that he wanted so badly to say; a mirror to his sister, who he is still trying to cope from the loss.

It's a sad moment, one that though brief, I hoped would give a bit of insight for him. Hopefully it will help Poppy as well, even though she has been sheltered most of her life, she hasn't really ever heard those words. I hope it helps a bit, but of course, that isn't a guarantee.
His voice may have been soft, but Daniel couldn't help but to regret his choice of words. It was all he could think of to reassure the girl, yet now, he could only wince at the poor introduction. He had pounced too soon, and expected too much, that was always his downfall. Dan wanted so badly to reach out and comfort the girl, his brotherly instincts taking affect, yet he restrained himself. He couldn't, the movement required would scare her, and would make her feel entrapped. Best to give her space, let her have a distance between them.

That was his mistake. He intruded on her space, closing the distance between them, rather than letting her take her time and approach them if she had so chose. He had the mind to slap himself right across the face. She might have been holding a syringe filled with bright red, almost too bright to be blood. She may have glowing eyes, and paler than pale skin, but as he watched, Daniel saw more to the girl, beyond her appearance.

She had reacted just as any child, afraid. Indeed, she was being approached by complete strangers, so that when she turned with a pocket knife in her hand, Dan could only understand. Yet, as his amber eyes locked on her, he could only see the form of a child before him. She was crying, and shaking in fear. Just as his sister had been befor-
Dan closed his eyes, not able to stare any longer. That's when a voice came from just behind him, getting closer.

"Daniel...back off" The sound of Clarence's voice, a police officer, one who probably dealt with lost children all the time, it should have been listened to. But Dan couldn't, he couldn't leave his spot on the floor, not now. He opened his eyes again, watching as Clarence bent down, near the corpse, closer to the girl than any of them. He picked up the syringe from the corpse and pocketed it, though Dan was unsure why. He might have been an officer in Columbia, but he had no such rank here. Not in Rapture.

"No. Not yet.." He replied, his voice stronger than it was before, yet still soft enough to not echo. He knew he shouldn't add to the mounting fear this young girl had, but at the same time, he wasn't sure that he liked how Clarence was going about the situation. He was clearly disturbed by the scene, as Daniel would have been, but now all he could see, was a young girl in front of him. The blood seeming to pass straight through his sight, along with the syringe, and the knife. Under all of that, was a child. One that was afraid, and definitely not used to being approached.

Daniel didn't want to waste his breath warning Clarence to back away, not for his sake, but for the girl's. She didn't need anymore pressure, anything else to scare her. Daniel left his kneeling position, and instead sat on the floor, crossing his legs under him. He was about the girl's height now, lessening the intimidation of himself. Though it was hard to do so, Daniel returned his soft eyes to the girl, trying to hold back his feelings, blocking them in his sea of emotions, closing them off. He didn't want them to break through, not yet.. Not now.

Daniel had wanted to ask the girl her name, but before he could do so, he had to apologize to her. She definitely deserved it, after the shock he and the other's had put her through. He looked up at the girl, his eyes flowing with the emotion's he tried so hard to hold in, his hands resting on his lap. Though, a strange thing happened as he opened his mouth. He begged for forgiveness, yet.. It was a personal reflection.

"I'm so sorry. I'm sorry that I scared you. I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you when you needed me most. When the world seemed against you. I'm sorry that I wasn't a good big brother..." His voice was deepening alongside his regrets.
"I want you to know, that as long as I'm breathing. This big brother is here for you. I couldn't protect you then, but I can now." After whispering his regrets, his pain filled pledge echoed in the near empty hall, along with a pain filled groan that escaped from his mouth, the final crack in his dam. Daniel locked his eyes on the little sister, his honey colored eyes seeping with liquid pain.
I was just giving the other's a chance to catch up, I'll get my post up soon.

All I've got to say about my post, is constants and variables.
We've crossed over to Rapture now, and have changed our attire to fit in with the citizens there. However, upon leaving the clothing store, the group has encountered a little sister named Poppy; though they don't know her name yet. As of now, they are literally at the mercy of her. If she screams, we're all doomed.

|History|
Walking the fields among the town alongside his father, a young Christopher would be, skampering along on his fathers heels. To most, the boy seemed a bit awkward for 8, still thin and lanky, not at all like his father, whom was quite the guard. Christopher would always stop at the pond near the middle of the field, turning up to his father with a broad smile, one that stretched across his small face. He had visited this beautiful aqua pond every week with his father, a promise of fulfillment in store. The wishing pond, as his father would call it. If you dreamed hard enough, and wanted it bad enough, your desire would soon find you. Young Christopher wished, dreamed, and gave everything he knew he could give into his wish, staring into the pond.

"I wish that one day, I'll be able to do something great! Something that will change everything.." He looked up at his father, the man held a straight face, but in his deep brown eyes shone disappointment. Knowing he still had time, still holding in that final breath, hopefully it would be just long enough to finish his wish. "But this change, it'll be a good one." His face red with the lack of breath, Christopher backed away from the pond, looking to his father for approval.
Instead, his father gave a nod. His face stoic and serious, as it was when he was duty. Christopher looked down to his feet, pursing his lips with his defeat. He was sure it would be good enough! He had thought long and hard prio-

His racing mind was stopped when a large and calloused hand landed on his shoulder, encasing all of it. "I'm proud of you, boy. No matter what, I'll always be proud of you." His father smiled, picking him up and lifting him over his shoulders, taking the boy back home. All the way, he had that large smile on his face.
"C'mon boyo, you gotta get working on that swing." The familiar voice would chant in his head. Christopher had grown into a fine young man at the age of 24, finally able to look down on most the boys that used to tease and taunt him, the others would be intimidated by his brawn. Though, he cared not about that, he was too busy training. Each day he would rise with the sun, and practice his sword and his combat until the light bearer traded places with the moon. His father had passed on from an unknown disease, his mother had gone off along with the princess, Lilith. Many were surprised that he remained, but in truth, he was afraid to leave.

Perhaps that fear was foolish, but it made him grow stronger, not just in appearance but in will. Christopher was able to decline the many that wanted him to go along with them to join anything but what he wanted to. He remained strong and steadfast, keeping in the newly found Allegiance. Though he is not the boy who traveled to the pond alongside his father anymore, he has never forgotten the wish he made. In fact, when asked why he rises with the sun every morning to do nothing but swing his sword and practice in the woods, he replies with a hearty smile and a nod of his head. The memory of the pin coming back to him, his young face reflecting off of the cool waters.
"I made a promise to myself long ago, that I would make a difference. If that means befriending the sun will help me along that path, then I shall rise with it each morning, and fall with it each night."
