He is ready.

Character's name: Binyo

Race: Kyuzo

Faction: Independent

Character Alignment: Neutral Good

Character Background: Binyo was born to a father who served as a clovoc and upheld order on their homeworld, Phatrong. From an early age, Binyo learned to adhere to honor when he could. He listened to the stories his father told him about hunting criminals and how his grandfather and great-grandfather both also served as clovocs on their homeworld. It seemed Binyo would follow the same path until the Jedi came to Phatrong tracking a criminal. While on the planet, they sought the help of the clovocs, and Binyo’s father worked closely with a Jedi who recognized Binyo had a connection with the Force. His father was proud to let his son go be trained as a Jedi. At the age of six, he left his parents and went to Coruscant.

Binyo was delivered to the Temple safely, and his training began. Having some minimal training from his father, Binyo was ahead of the other Younglings in their combat drills. It took him a bit longer to latch onto the teachings of the Force but he took them seriously once he wrapped his head around them. Eventually he graduated into the rank of Padawan and trained under a Lasat Jedi Master named Kuvin Dorenon. Kuvin, being of the Lasat people, also had a strict honor system that he learned to pair with his Jedi teachings and helped Binyo to find the balance between his people and the Jedi as he had. To do this, Kuvin took Binyo to the Lasat homeworld to show him where he had come from and then they traveled to Binyo’s homeworld. As a Padawan, Binyo latched onto Kuvin’s teachings quickly and was held in high regard with his master.

Binyo became a Knight at an early age compared to some Padawans. He passed his trials with satisfaction when he was sixteen and was shortly afterwards knighted. Less than a year after he achieved the rank, the Clone Wars broke out. He was placed with his old Master and was put in command of an army of clones at such a young age. He proved himself a capable commander on the battlefield though throughout the war and was given the command of Clone Commandos and began operating as a special strike team commander. Unimaginably, his team became known as Clovoc Squad. During one mission with his clones, Binyo was severely injured by explosives and lost his right leg. His squad managed to complete the mission and keep him alive. The leg was replaced with a mechanical one, and he continued to serve the Republic and the Jedi, but he saw his loyalty connected more with the soldiers he commanded.

Shortly before the war ended, Binyo left the Order and the Republic Army. Through the continued fighting, he came to see nothing but the pain it put the people of the Galaxy through. He tried to reconcile this by telling himself he was fighting to free planets from under Separtist control because the Republic would treat them better and be better for them, that the Jedi were there to help people through this struggle. None of this helped, and he couldn’t take it any longer. When he left, the Captain of his Commandos, Scrapper, gifted him with one of their DC-17 blasters. It had the symbol of the squad painted on it like the rest of their armaments and armor did, a kyuzo war helmet with a slitted pupil in the center of it.

After leaving the Order and the war behind, Binyo went back to his homeworld and began working as a clovoc alongside his father. Shortly after this the war ended, and Order 66 was given. Republic troops quickly descended on Phatrong in search of Binyo. The clone troopers were something entirely different as they raided his home in search of him, claiming he was a traitor and demanding the cooperation of the clovoc. Those who refused to answer were executed then and there. When they did find him, they shot his father as a traitor for harboring a Jedi. Something in Binyo snapped in that instance, and he tapped into something darker than he had before and killed the clones. He wrenched them through the air, broke their bones, crushed the air from them, but he lived and escaped from Phatrong.

For a time after that he laid low, hopping from planet to planet, taking bounty work as it came. He managed to create a decent reputation for himself in the Outer Rim under a false name. He became something of a constable. Through connections in the underworld he managed to dig up more information on what happened at the end of the Clone Wars, information that was not Imperial propaganda claiming the Jedi were traitors. That was how he started hearing about the Inquisitorius and knew he would eventually be discovered no matter how well he hid. He didn’t have a lightsaber, but he practiced and honed his abilities with the Force even after leaving the Order and rigged his base of operations with layers of defenses.

So when the Inquisitor came, Binyo was prepared for them. The fight was difficult and cost him his base and a hand, but he managed to kill his stalker and obtain their lightsaber. It was damaged: one side of the ring guard was completely broken, the other side only had half the ring left to form a crude and rough hand guard, and one of the emitters no longer worked. He had a functional single bladed lightsaber, however. After the destruction of his base and the defeat of the Inquisitor, Binyo went into deeper hiding for a while in the Outer Rim. In his hiding, he meditated on the kyber crystal within the Inquisitor’s lightsaber. It lashed out, showing him its former master was at one time a Jedi Knight and had turned on the Order after being corrupted by the Empire and began hunting down any survivors of Order 66. He was no stranger to tapping into the Dark Side at this point in his life, but the crystal radiated dark energy and attempted to attach itself to him and corrupt him. He managed to resist and began somewhat purifying the crystal. Over time it became a dull orange rather than a vibrant red color.

After the defeat of the Empire and even upon hearing rumors of Luke Skywalker and his new Jedi, Binyo shas stuck to being an independent law man, though now he can be somewhat more liberal in using the Force.

Character Personality: Between his people's culture and his previous Jedi training, Binyo has a strong sense of honor and duty to those he actually comes to trust. He is slow to trust since he left the Jedi Order prior to the end of the Clone Wars and became even more so after Order 66. His honor will lead him to help those in need, but he knows it's unrealistic to be a hero and knows when to look out for himself first when the need arises. After leaving the Order he has become skeptical of Skywalker's New Order and has so far avoided any contact with it.

Character's Physical description: Under his protective vizor and war helmet, Binyo has deep yellow eyes with slitted pupils and blue green scaled skin. He stands around six and a half feet tall with the lanky, muscular build of his species. He is usually seen with his visor, helmet, and filter mask connected as one piece, though they do disconnect if he wishes to take his helmet off but keep his visor and mask on. His filter mask doubles as a translator, as he prefers to speak in his native language. He carries his blast in a hip holster, and the sniper components on his back for easy access should he need to switch to long range. The damaged Inquisitor lightsaber is kept on the small of his back and hidden under his poncho.

As the sun rose over the ancient temple that now served as the site of the new Jedi Praxeum, Luke Skywalker sat at the edge of the forest near a small rock outcropping which overlooked the temple grounds. He sat with his legs crossed over one another and his eyes closed. As he meditated, he focused on his breathing, long breaths in and out as he felt the Force flow through and around him. As he reached out with the Force, he could sense the 3 large rocks rotating around him, as well as the half a dozen smaller ones. Luke then extended himself further, into the forest, where he could feel the different life forms that resided there.

He could feel the whisper birds in silent flight as they hunted. He could feel the battle for survival that played out between the anglers, lizard crabs, and armored eels. He could even feel leviathan grubs as they burrowed beneath the ground. Then Luke extended himself even further into the forest, and he felt Rhoda, the new Ithorian student that Han had run across while he had been accompanying Leia on a diplomatic mission to Coronet City. He could feel three of his students as they engaged in some playful banter. Horn Datch, who had been one of the first students at the Praxeum, Kaylee Starsmore, who had been paired with Horn as a sort of unofficial Padawan, and Rush Diel, who had arrived at the same time as Kaylee, which had created a special bond between the two.

Luke had been proud of the progress that his students had made, yet he still found the task of rebuilding the Jedi Order a daunting one. Though he knew that it would take time to achieve his goals, he still felt deep down that he should have more to show for his efforts. He pushed those feelings aside, and as he did so he felt something else, a familiar presence.

“Master.” Luke said without opening his eyes, a smile crossed his face as he pulled himself back into the moment.

“Mmmm. Done well have you, young Skywalker.”

Luke opened his eyes and turned to address the specter of his former master, the smile remaining on his face. “Perhaps.” Luke said, doubt filling his voice. “I don't know. Sometimes I feel like I've made much progress since the last time you saw me. But sometimes I feel like I should be doing more.”

Yoda's head bobbed dismissively as his apprentice spoke.

“Always see you do I. Yes, yes. Much progress have you made. A Jedi Master, are you now. Yoda looked into Luke's eyes, and his voice lowered slightly. “But much doubt I feel in you. And fear...”

“It's just that this is a huge task, and I don't know that I can do it alone.” Luke began.

“Hmmm. Fear that fail will you. Another Vader, will you create.” Yoda said. “Much to overcome have you. Clouded the future may be, but Skywalker, alone...you are not.” Yoda planted his cane in the dirt as he finished speaking and faded from view, leaving Luke alone again on the outcropping.

As he got to his feet, he heard the laughter of the three students he had sensed earlier, and he realized that as usual, Yoda had been right:

He wasn't alone.

Approved, he is.
@Ascendant Funny story: We've been discussing that. The current concensus is that our plotting will start out with people essentially at the head of their own personal tales (or collaborating as requested) until more and more interactions occur and events start to bring them all together for something much bigger. We've compared it to how the Marvel movies were handled, oddly enough.

Exactly. It's going to be a lot of fun

Race: Human

Faction: Grand Imperium

Character Alignment: Lawful Evil

Character Background: Born on Coruscant during the waning days of the Republic Koren was always exposed to the rife and the corruption that spread throughout the City Planet. He saw as Aliens abused their increased abilities to commit a crime, and the hate spread through the human population. So that when he eventually had the chance to do something to make a change he did, joining the police. He was a stickler for the law in a time when corruption was the main currency of the Undercity and even the upper-levels. A weapons deal gone bad resulted in Koren leaving the Police Service in exchange. An Intelligence Asset by the name of Gallius Rax took an interest in the young detective and his way of doing things. Through the Agent he came to know a young Senator from Naboo called Sheev Palpatine.

Through Palpatine, Koren gained his first job in Republic Intelligence a couple of years before the onset of the Clone Wars. As Palpatine became chancellor he began moving select people around into several high-end positions, known as Palpatines Confidants Koren counted himself amongst this number and became the head of all Coruscant Security Forces, in charge of every police bureau and detective agency. Like many of Palpatine's hand-picked he proved himself, working his way to eliminate corruption and maximize efficiency. Everything he did fueled the popularity of Palpatine and the movement that was rapidly gathering behind him. Koren remained close to the chancellor, while like many he was not aware of Palpatines true identity as Darth Sidious he was privy to some more sensitive conversations between the Chancellor and a certain Wilhulf Tarkin.

As the Clone Wars erupted and Palpatine grabbed more power for himself he remembered those who had aided him to get to the position he was now in, Koren gained his own 'emergency' powers. Able to issue warrants and follow through with arrests on the barest evidence, the conviction rate soared through the roof. As refugees flocked to the capital as the Clone Wars raged on throughout the Galaxy Koren convinced Palpatine to have Clones to bolster the numbers of police on the streets, slowly bringing about martial law. As the day came closer and closer to the Declaration of a New Order more and more meetings were held behind closed doors. Tarkin would become Grand Moff, second to only the Emperor, sectors would be given to trusted officers and individuals. While Palpatine would remain on Coruscant even after the Declaration Koren was given the title of Governor and control over the sector.

With the destruction of the first Death Star Palpatine gave Koren the knowledge of routes into the Deep Core, having him move resources and assets into the core bolstering its defenses and ensuring that the Core could last as a holdout should the worst happen, or as a possible source of reinforcements were the rebels to be as bold as to attack Coruscant itself. As Governors betrayed Palpatine for greed or were killed by the Rebel Alliance the Emperor moved the ones he trusted around, increasing their power. Re-writing laws on a whim, Korens power grew in the Core until he maintained a handful of systems. Though his focus was always on the capital itself, Palpatines anti-alien views causing a veritable powder keg to exist below the surface, with several attempts on his life happening almost on a daily basis.

When the news came that the Emperor had died above Endor along with Darth Vader riots broke out over Coruscant, people who were pro-Empire and people who were Anti-Empire. Koren couldn't stand to see his people be in such a state of disarray so as Mos Ammeda killed himself he stepped in and seized power. As more and more Imperials returned to Coruscant his power grew, announcing himself Lord of the Grand Imperium and fixing what he felt were some glaring issues in Palpatines Empire. Over time as more and more Imperial Warlords fell Koren consolidated his power, until the New Republic turned its eyes upon him.

Character Personality: Koren is logical, he believes in Order through any means. He isn't a Sith, he isn't a Force Wielder. Power may have corrupted him, and he is unwilling to give up that power but he truly believes that his way of doing things is better than the chaos that is the New Republic, and even that the Galactic Empire was a better solution. He has no intentions on Galactic Conquest, just to not lose his home to the anarchy that is spreading throughout the galaxy like cancer. Will he push back against the Rebels? Only time will tell, and it depends on how much strain they put on him and his people.
