Track SuitSuzu is of an above average height with narrow hips, a modest bust and a sharp jawline giving her a somewhat masculine or androgynous look. Her eyes are a dull hazel color, naturally narrowed and sharp giving her an intimidating gaze. Her hair is black and straight, cut to about shoulder length and usually worn up in a pony tail with her bangs falling over her forehead and framing her face at the sides. Her build is one that does not show much muscle mass despite being fit. Her complexion is light, her skin having a somewhat ashen color. She has a birth mark near her left shoulder blade. During school hours Suzu favors a gakuran rather than the traditional girls uniform, and after hours or during club activities she generally wears a track suit.
Personality: The impression most would get from Nanase Suzu is of an imposing, serious and uncompromising person. With a strong voice and taller stature she seems to be a natural leader, able to confidently deal out orders and demand respect when needed. While she will return respect when given to her she is also one who will not bow to another and often demand others to fall in line or be trampled under foot. For those that wish to actively oppose her she can certainly be a nightmare to deal with and for those on her side she can prove very helpful after a certain degree of trust is gained. Be it by teacher or student if something is brought to her attention she will generally try to work out a favorable solution for both parties with as little fuss as possible. Contrary to her sharp eyed appearance and stern attitude however, Suzu is not an overly aggressive individual and generally avoids being so unless a situation deems it necessary.
Backstory: Nanase Suzu was born into a family housing a long line of artists, her parents certainly not being excluded from this lineage. As one would expect form such a birth, Suzu spent her entire life even from her youngest years surrounded by art of all kinds. Her mother a painter and her father a musician, her grandfather a sculptor, an aunt a landscaper, the list goes on. It is easy to see how the girl herself could have been easily inspired towards such things from a very young age, and her parents naturally encouraged this. As a child she took an interest in drawing and painting like many children, but unlike many children she held this interest year after year, practicing and practicing under her parents tutelage.
The girl would develop a love and skill for the activities, becoming a dedicated hobby of hers soon as she began to reach her middle school years which her parents could only be over joyed for. However, though she could want nothing more from her home life, Suzu was not lacking in her own problems to deal with. These problems came from schooling like many children. While she was as bright and happy as any well cared for child her appearance made things difficult to her. She grew quicker than both boys and girls as she went through her schooling which combined with a naturally sharp eyed stare, making her come off as intimidating and aggressive to the other children despite every attention otherwise. This would serve to earn her all sorts of attention she had no wish for. More average students would find her intimidating and off putting, the ones who were truly more aggressive would use her looks as an excuse to ridicule or challenge her as if it would gain them some sort of credibility.
Naturally, this made making friends difficult for the young Suzu. With nothing but free time outside of her schooling she began to develop more hobbies, particularly in anime and manga, her interest of course being drawn by the art. As she watched and read she began to notice that even characters who looked scary and intimidating still managed to gain friends and allies. And so the girl resolved to be like those characters, she would refuse to let herself fall into the background only to be ridiculed. She started by feigning the confidence many of the characters she idolized had and in time found ways to make use of her appearance. Many of the students seemed to be intimidated by her, they would not push her away so she could appeal to it and turn intimidation into loyalty. She herself was bigger than most that sought to challenge her, if she took the challenge head on and won they would have to bow or relent. If she abandoned her youthful girlish dress she could make herself look even more formidable.
And so over the years of her elementary and middle school years the girl gradually and deliberately changed herself from the unfortunate girl shunned, mocked and challenged for an unfortunately opposing appearance into a confident young woman who would not be trifled with, capable of commanding the loyalty and respect of those around her. Taking this philosophy into highschool it was only natural for her to wish to continue her rise, becoming active in clubs and activities until earning her place on the student council for her year. Entering her later years of highschool the girl soon found herself taking an easy win for the head of the student council, having gained favor from both student and staff.
During this time Suzu's home life remained much the same as it had always been, she continued with her hobbies, shifting more towards painting as she got older, her parents holding a great deal of pride in their daughter for not only becoming a budding artist in her own right but becoming a responsible figure within the school as well.
