The Italian words told him that his luck paid off. He didn't allow himself to smile in triumph though. He quickly threw the man waking up off his back and pinned him to the ground before he answered. Instead of speaking, he let the noise play out over the phone as he grabbed his failed bomb and once again smashed it against the back of the man's head with zero hesitation.

"So his name is Johnny, like Johnny Bravo? That's a pretty nice name." William smiled and chatted like he was speaking with an old friend. He sat on Johnny's back and took a leisurely tone with the extremely dangerous mafia boss.

"I hope you don't mind that I knocked him out though. He snuck up on me so I got scared and panicked, so I tried calling from his phone for someone to pick him up. Then he woke up again so I got scared once more and knocked him out for good, though I think I hit him too hard. He's bleeding from the head and isn't responding. Fortunately, he's still breathing. You wanna come pick him up for me?"

William took control of the conversation without letting the other party over the phone get a chance to butt in. He can feel the aggression and wrath over it without words anyways.

"Oh, I strapped a bomb to him as well," he added like it was something he just remembered and didn't really see anything wrong with. "I'll even switch to FaceTime to show you. Look!" He did exactly that and showed the unconscious man with a pipe taped to his chest.

The threat was given, so William waited for a response over the phone. He threw the loaded dice tinged with malice.

"Whew." William let out a breath full of relief as he rubbed the sweat from his forehead. Currently, he was in some no-name, remote building in Brookside where nobody should randomly enter. Since there's no one around, he can indulge himself in some activities that are most likely illegal.

Like making bombs. Pipe bomb to be specific. With store-bought chlorine mixtures, steel pipes, and industrial grade tape, he successfully created one of them. He still wants to make more for insurance. He went over his phone that had instructions contained on its notepad. Searching stuff up like that might get him tracked down, so he used an anonymous computer on a library and summarized the important parts on his phone.

After looking at his makeshift explosive and matching it with the phone's instructions, he moved on to make the next one. "I think a total of four bombs should do the trick," he contemplated. "These are only low explosives, so they shouldn't kill the extra durable guys." He'll have to use this sparingly. It's a good thing he bought the necessary goods from different stores; otherwise, he probably would've had the police called on him.

"Second one done." He pulled out a knife and cut the seal before it was woven too tight.

"Third done." With the third one done quicker than the last due to having a little bit more experience, William realized a problem. "Forgot to get a fuse for the fourth one." He sighed at his incompetence.

"What should I do for this? Go back and get another one? No, this issue has to be handled swiftly." He brought his hand to his mouth in thought as he narrowed his eyes at his project. He then nodded as if coming to a conclusion. "Three should be enough." If he needs a fourth one, he'll just have to make due without it.

William perked up all of a sudden. He vaguely heard something resembling footsteps. "There shouldn't be anyone coming here though," he whispered to himself. With the unfinished, last bomb in his hand he lightened his steps and attempted to sneak up on whoever was walking through the building.

The footsteps gradually grew louder, so he placed himself up against the wall. A man came around the corner and luckily missed him through the use of William's power. The mystery individual was a middle-aged mustached man wearing a suit.

William pulled out the small pipe and swung it at the back of the man's head, knocking him out almost immediately. "Wonder what my family would say about this." Even if they disparaged him, he probably still wouldn't stop anyways.

Not like they can say anything to begin with. William rummaged through the man's clothes and pulled out something very interesting from his belt.

"A gun?" With his curiosity tugged, he ran through the man's clothes with greater vigor to find out his identity. He pulled out a wallet and a phone. He checked the top of the cards in the wallet before finding a business card that he pulled out all the way to analyze.

"John Doe? What kind of fake..." He trailed off after seeing what should have been the business name. "A symbol, huh? Judging from this guy's clothes, the gun, and the business card with a symbol along with my luck, he's probably a member of that crime family. He could also be a part of some other organization, but I'll take my chances."

"Of course the phone has a lock on it. Why wouldn't it? It's a good thing I can cheat at least." He inputted multiple passwords. After the seventh try, he got in. He looked through the contacts and found one named "Boss."

"Heave-ho." He picked up the unconscious man and placed him on his back right before dialing that number. He placed the phone to his ear as he walked to a local hospital to dump this man at.

Or that would've been the plan had he not felt the man stir. He sighed with a smile on his face as the ringing continued.

"It's been a week, yet I'm still no closer to my goal." His tone had a hint of melodrama to it. "Oh well. Still got a ways to go I guess."

At the moment, he's sitting on a bench eating a burger he picked up from McDonald's. It's a greasy thing that he finds very delicious. His medical background is screaming about how unhealthy this burger is to him, but he could care less. While chewing on a heart killer, he contemplated on what he should do now. He has a surplus of money from robbing empty cars and wallets forgotten on the streets.

His unreasonable and illogical goal is to find a way to bring people back from the dead. His only source for something crazy like that are people with powers like him. Besides, he has a lot of faith that he'll stumble across his desire. Luck is always on his side. "Still though, it's been a while since I had fast food. This is really good." He finished gorging himself on the burger and tossed the wrapping in the public trash can.

"I need information." What he needs is to find an area where unsavory individuals hang out at. The Moonlight Brewhouse is a waste of time. He'd become known as a villain, which is foolish. Anonymity is the safety blanket he requires. "Then... How about I just randomly stumble across a group of guys?" He smiled to himself as he thought of that interesting plan. He left the park and once again used his power to create a fortunate meeting for himself. Of course it's not like it manipulated people to come towards his direction.

He had to walk to unsavory locations like alleyways and abandoned buildings so his power would naturally cause him and his targets to gravitate towards each other. It was then that he saw some normal looking people casually taking a stroll through a street known for it's rough background.

"Glad I brought my hoodie for this. I might need to invest in something better to hide my face soon though," he mused to himself. He walked towards the group of three with only his smile being revealed. Everything else was hidden by the hood.

"Hey you three? Let me in on all the know-how, you feel me?" Before they could question if he was okay in the head, he flashed a couple bills. They grinned because they found someone who spoke their language. Money.

"General information or something deeper?" one of them asked. William coughed and raised the pitch of his voice. Even if they can't recognize his face, they might recognize his voice later on. He has to take as many precautions as he can. There even may still be things he's slipping up on, but it's fine for now. His luck can make up for his screw-ups.

"Give me the general info. What's going on at the bottom?" Deeper information is a waste of extra money they would definitely charge him. He can just extrapolate that from the general info they're going to feed to him.

And so with his wallet slightly lighter and more info in his head, he went back to his hotel room. Lying on his head and staring at the ceiling gave him time to think.

"Gugliano Family is moving erratically? That's not good... Stirring up this city more after that Ambleweed problem. This place does have quite a bit of Mutants. It's getting dangerous." If he hesitates, he will die.

That crime family should have information on people with unique powers.

If he worries, he will die.

"They do say with great danger comes great opportunities. Heroes, Villains, whatever's here... They're nothing more than tools for me to achieve my goal. Let's do this right." He left his hotel room with his hoodie and gloves.

"I'll need to get some special stuff first."

"Wow~" William whistled as he took in the amount of plant matter strewn all over the streets. Where he was before, there weren't that many plants. Now he's seeing why all these heroes are moving about. There's a lot more Ambleweeds than he expected.

Since it's a waste of time to even bother dealing with them, he ducked into another alleyway to reach his destination. "Hahaha," he chuckled to himself. "I shouldn't have come out today." He walked through the streets devoid of people. The earthy smell reminding him of his excursions to mountains and forests.

"There is a chance that I can reach a nice conclusion if I follow the fortune through though." William could either head to the hotel and wait for this to blow over, or he can take a proactive stance and force an ending that benefits him entirely. He contemplated his next choice of action and then smiled to himself.

He decided to use his power and manipulate fate to sway in his favor. He used it to lead him to the source of this mess by guessing which way he should go.

The amount of times he nearly ran into the line of sight of Ambleweeds or heroes happened a bit too often for him to be completely comfortable with. Thankfully, his luck carried him here. A nudge so that they'd focus on each other because they ran into each other gave him leeway to travel unseen.

"This is pretty dangerous." He almost gave off a sigh of relief, but he stopped himself. Right around the corner he could hear the swaying of leaves and thorns. He doesn't know if they're watching the direction from where he can pop out, but he'll take the chance.

He craned his head around the corner and saw a congregation of Ambleweeds surrounding a tall building wrapped in an absurd amount of vines. William's eyes widened at what was most likely the source of this sudden plant invasion. He had a curious frown on his face as he analyzed the building and the patrolling plants. "Mmmmm, that's no good. No good at all. Don't have what I need to clean this place out." Honestly, he just wants this incident dealt with asap. With the city in a messy state like this, how can he go around investigating people's abilities?

He placed his right hand on the right side of his neck and cracked it. A very satisfying pop rang through the air as he decided on the best course of action.

William stepped right in front of the building where all the plants were. They sensed his presence and turned their sight towards him. Every single last one. "Aha...!" The beginning of a laugh seeped out of his throat. "You guys are really nothing but freaks aren'tcha?"

He grabbed their attention and ran away from the building. Naturally, they chased after him. Using his power would work against him here. He gathered them all in a stampede against him. He ran down the street as they all vigorously tried to devour him. All William did was grin with wide, green eyes as he led them in a chase. "Come and catch me if you can!" He was acting far too cheerful and positive for a guy who was being chased by carnivorous plants.

"The building should be freed up for heroes to fix that problem..." he muttered to himself as he looked back at the plants scrambling after him. There would probably be more in the building, but he at least did his civic duty to lure out a chunk of them.

Maybe he can reward himself by relieving cash from others. People wouldn't mind that, right?

Where there were two Marine ships docked, people were cleaning ships, doing business and conversing. This is a natural everyday occurrence for one of the busiest islands in East Blue. A famous or "infamous" city due to a sizable bounty originating from this island. By one of the Marine ships, two individuals exited the ship. They cut quite the odd duo as a large, muscular man, and another man with the ears of a dog were talking. After their small conversation ended, dog ears saluted the larger man.

Karma watched his superior walk off to report to the Marines stationed on this island. His job was to watch the ship, which he did in silence. His nose took in the salty smell emanating from the ocean and the air. The seas were calm enough to lull him into a peaceful slumber.

His second pair of ears twitched as a private walked up and saluted him. "What is it?" The Marine who looked like a newbie seemed almost hesitant.

"Permission to question sir?" Karma shook his head in an almost exasperated manner.

"You don't need permission to ask me anything. What's got you befuddled?" To be honest, Karma's a bit confused as well. His superior didn't tell him the purpose of this trip. Judging by his superior's solemn countenance he seemed to have an idea that he didn't share with him.

"Well... Why are we stopping here?" There it was. The inquiry that the Lieutenant expected came out. He's not really sure on how he should answer him, so he responded to his inquiry with a dull tone.

"Hm. Vice-Admiral Haramitsu will most likely brief us when he returns. In other words, I don't know any more than you." The private nodded at this response, saluted, and returned to the ship. "Wonder if he got sacked with cleaning duty," he muttered in a wistful tone to himself.

Half of his focus was on the ship and the other half was reminiscing about his initial decision to join the marines. It was then he sensed a vigorous aura walking closer to the ship. It was the familiar aura of his superior. Karma saluted the Vice-Admiral once he came within 2 meters.

"Sir." He had to crane his head upwards to look him in the eyes.

"I'm calling a meeting. Gather all the Marines." Karma acquiesced as a proper subordinate should.

"Understood." The two of them both walked into the ship, both their coats billowing in the wind. Karma gathered everyone to the front deck and prepared to listen to what Vice-Admiral Haramitsu had to say.

"It's a nice day outside," William said with a whimsical tone. He was taking a small stroll in New Athens and taking in the sights. He's been in this city for about 3 days now, and it's still such a wonderful place to him. So many great things to see. Urban exploration is quite the foreign topic to him, so it's always nice to broaden his horizons with the obvious.

With the crazy plants attacking the city and not really causing all that much damage, it's basically a chill day. His luck took him down this street to find a bunch of green nuisances menacing the place. Instead of turning towards him, they turned towards a bunch of shadowy beasts prowling through the streets.

"Which hero had that power again?" He questioned himself even though he already knew the answer. He turned down an alleyway to avoid the brawl. What greeted him was not more plants because he's not unlucky like that. Instead, he chanced upon a leather wallet laying on the ground.

He opened it up and found an ID revealing the owner's identity. "Now this is nice." William smiled with wide eyes. There was a good amount of money in it. "People don't usually carry over a hundred bucks in cash these days. I can stay longer at the hotel with this." He was planning on stealing more money to extend his hotel stay, but it turns out he didn't need to.

His natural luck carried him for this. He took all the money out of the wallet and placed it back on the ground. He exited the alleyway to see the remnants of the Ambleweeds being cleaned up. All in all, it was a productive day. Now he just needs to put some more progress towards his goal no matter how small it is, so it can be called another perfect day.

One of the surviving plants leapt at him. Maybe it wanted to leave a mark that it existed on somebody by killing them? Whatever its plan was, William didn't really care. He didn't need to do anything, so he stood there as the plant's jaws came closer to swallowing him.

He closed his eyes to hear a crunch, but it wasn't him being chewed up. The shadowy hound finished the job before he could be finished. William opened his eyes and looked at the hound with a smile. "Once again, I am lucky."

He walked off to see more of the city in mild chaos. He stuck both hands in his deep pockets and grasped dirks. He was prepared to handle a few plants that decided that he'd make a good snack.
