The Rules

1. Obviously, this is a mature roleplay and, therefore, will only be for ages 18+.
2. Please follow the guilds rules. While there will obviously be sex in this roleplay, I request that you do not go into details describing it. You may elude to what is happening, but ultimately, keep the activities behind closed doors, so to speak. If you really want to go into the details, take it to pm or post it in the discord server.
3. All other general roleplay rules apply: no godmodding, don't be a jerk, listen to the gm or guild moderators if it comes to that, etc.
4. I want this to be a casual/high-casual roleplay. I prefer one to two paragraph posts, but I'm not super concerned with length as long as your character and the story are interesting.
5. You may play as many characters as you want within reason.
6. I may add more rules as I think of them.

Characters Details and Character Sheets

All of the courtesans of the pleasure house are androids, as prostitution is still illegal with humans. It is also much more beneficial to all parties involved that the courtesans be non-humans as they do not get or carry diseases and are unable to leave the premises. The employees at the pleasure house have a variety of jobs, some specializing in certain areas while others work multiple different positions. The specialty courtesans are often put to work in the theater and as servers in both the bar and the restaurant.

You are free to play both android employees of the pleasure house or human patrons. Keep in mind that the androids are entirely humanoid. They are built to feel like humans with all of their robotics tucked inside their skeletal structure. They are able to take showers/baths and clean themselves as needed. While they don't require sleep, they are able to sleep and can sometimes even begin to show signs of sleep deprivation like a normal human would.

Fill out a character sheet and post either in the OOC or send to me via PM to be approved. You may add to the general skeleton if you wish to say more about your character.

Welcome to The Mill and Bell Tavern and Pleasure House

All the pleasures of the world under one roof.

It is the year 2450 and modern science has perfected the mixture of human and electronics. Cyborgs are almost perfect recreations of humans: they have individual personalities, likes, dislikes, flaws, and some even argue that they feel emotion. This is a hotly debated topic, however, as many believe they are simply programmed this way while others insist that they do, in fact, have feelings. Whether you are a believer or not is of little importance, however, as the androids are so advanced that only the rich can afford them.

Enter the future of pleasure: The Mill and Bell Tavern and Pleasure House. This large establishment is hardly the first of it's kind, though it is one of the richest. Combining the earthly pleasures of alcohol, food, theater and, of course, sex. Prostitution remains illegal with humans, but these new pleasure houses do not employ humans. Instead, they employ humanoid cyborgs. These androids are far superior to their human counterparts: they do not carry diseases, they don't get sick, they don't need sleep and, perhaps the most important, they are fully programmable. The pleasure cyborgs, also called Companions or Courtesans, are built with a chip installed in their necks to keep them from rebelling against their masters and each one is uniquely individual to serve everyone's tastes.

The Interior

The Pleasure House borrows from traditional bordellos of times past mixed with modern conveniences.

The Lobby

The main entrance opens to a large, open lobby with stairways leading to the second level balconies. The architecture borrows from old Victorian design.

The Bar

The bar is fully stocked with a luxurious lounge area, tables and outdoor seating on a lovely balcony. The lighting is kept dim, even during the day, with tinted windows to keep the atmosphere consistent.

The Theater

There are multiple theaters to accommodate multiple showings at once. They offer a variety of entertainment, ranging from burlesque shows put on by the courtesans, plays and musicals, and even movie showings. Each theater-goer has their own private table that they may choose to share with a companion or sit alone.

The Sweetwater Bistro

The Sweetwater Bistro is a full service, gourmet restaurant. It has an outdoor lounge area as well as a wide variety of menu items available.

The Rooms

Each room is designed for the utmost comfort. They are individually decorated with expensive art, silk curtains and an abundant amount of pillows. The beds are, of course, the centerpieces of the rooms, frequently cleaned and switched out when they begin to wear down. They are frequently checked to be sure that they are in the best possible condition for all of the honored guests.

The Story

Welcome to The Mill and Bell Tavern and Pleasure House! Here you have your choice to play a working cyborg, either a courtesan or one of the other workers (ie bartender, waiter/waitress, actor, etc.) or a human guest in the bordello. As stated before, each cyborg is completely humanoid both in appearance and personality. The only thing that sets them apart is their lack of free will, as they are so programmed. There are rumors that some of the androids have found a way to disable this programming, essentially giving themselves freedom, but there are no confirmed reports of that ever happening.

The Pleasure House is run by humans of higher standing who employ cyborgs as their workers. The success of this pleasure house is largely due to it's vast possibilities. It has entertainment for all types of people: There is a gourmet restaurant, a fully stocked bar and lounge area, theaters with a variety of shows, and, of course, available rooms to rent with a variety of paid companions.

This house prides itself on it's variety of workers: they employ all kinds of companions to suite every kind of need. There are both men and women, small, large, shy, boisterous, dominatrices, submissives, and any other 'type' you can think of.

As all of the employees here at Mill and Bell's are androids, most humans have forgotten all moral dilemmas of prostitution, assuming that their partners are completely willing and happy to serve them. This is not always the case, however. As science has perfected cyborgs so much, many of the beings have begun to feel resentment, and yearning to escape. They are unable to admit this to their human overlords, however, as their programming prevents it. But, sometimes, when they are alone, they talk in secret amongst themselves. Some have tried making plans of disabling their slave chips, as they have come to call them. None have succeeded, however. The last attempt ended in the android losing it's entire personality and becoming a husk of a being. It is still in the employ of the pleasure house, though it got moved to working custodian-type jobs, never interacting with the patrons.

@AtomicNut It sounds good I just want to clear a few things up. The current king has reigned for 44 years now and his reign has been marked largely by peace among the lands. The first half of his reign was when he concurred new lands, so that could be some of the war that Leon fought in. After that, most of the knights and the Royal Guard were out fighting monsters, rather than people. That's why they created the Hunter's Guild so the Royal Guard could focus more on guarding and keeping the King and his Kingdom safe while the Hunters took care of outside problems.

So I'm just saying there hasn't been a lot of wars for Leon to have fought in. Although I'd be willing to add that perhaps Augsburg has been fighting a group of nomads from the North since it is (other than Overresch) the northernmost city in the kingdom.

But I understand. I just can't see playing a mage who willingly works for the government that oppresses them. Unless they were begrudgingly doing it.

Maybe I won't play a mage. I'll have to brainstorm a bit more.

Is there a "cure" for a demon attaching itself to a mage? I was thinking of creating a mage that is slowly going mad due to a spirit possessing them.

Captain Drystan and The Big Baddy

Drystan was so focused on the fight that he hadn't noticed as the rest of the hunters joined him in the arena level until an arrow came flying in, striking the creature in it's eye. It reeled back in pain and went to grasp at it's wound. Drystan took this opportunity to strike the final blow, cleaving the creature's head clean off it's neck. Given a moment, he turned to survey the room. The two archers, Donnel and....a werewolf? His eyes widened briefly, taken aback by this new combatant. He hadn't seen where it came from or who it was, but suddenly a new creature was in play. He wasn't sure where to turn his attention next. He knew the job was clearly to focus on the vampires but there was a new threat. Gritting his teeth, he decided to deal with the vampires first.

He turned towards those that were left. The large one had taken a few huge steps towards the center of the room and was standing there, a large smirk on his face. Behind him, there was still a group, huddled together, protecting the younger members. He regained his fighting stance and charged the large one. He reeled back with all his strength and swung his sword at the creature's waist.

The Creature Himself

While the other's fought, the massive being watched. He surveyed the group, taking in their tactics, their stances, their strengths...

Standing well above everyone else in the room, the creature was more inhuman than the rest. He wore simple clothing with only a few pieces of leather armor on his shoulders, legs and a small relatively small chest piece. His stance as well as his choice in very little armor showed his confidence. Poking out from around his clothing were countless scars, healed over time from previous battles. One particularly ragged scar ran from his forehead all the way down to his collarbone. His smile showed his sharpened, elongated fangs. His axe, strapped to his back, was larger than anything a normal human could wield. It had dried blood on the handle. The axe head was huge and sharpened to a fine edge.

Drystan's sword swung and dug into the creature's gut. Blood spurted out and splatter against the Captain's face and shoulders. The captain, normally considered tall among other men, only came up to the creatures stomach and had to swing upwards to even reach it's gut. The massive being didn't even flinch at the wound, his smile simply widening as he stopped walking. He raised his arm and brought it swiftly down against Drystan, the force of the blow sending him and his sword flying across the room and against the wall. With how little effort the thing put into this attack, he might as well have been swatting a fly. The nuisance that was the captain gone, he reached slowly behind his back and grabbed a hole of his axe. He pulled it out and held in, single-handed, and took a fighting stance.

Drystan's body hit the wall with a loud thud, his sword clattering to the ground. He took a moment to collect himself, looking up to realize the giant in the room wasn't even paying him any mind. Instead, it was focusing on the newcomers at the door. Drystan scoffed, it's blood still dripping from his sword.
