I’ve worked min wage jobs and I’ve done the bare minimum and have still gotten the measly ten cent raises yearly and good references from them. There really is no point, bare minimum gets you by.

While I am not a mod myself, I have spoken to a few of them on occasion, and while I cannot speak for every situation you have reported someone on for, I can probably tell you why mods seem sort of helpless themselves.

Mahz doesn't like banning. It will happen from time to time, but it's rare enough IMO. I've heard from former mods it was always a fight to keep someone banned (people who have asked mahz if they could be unbanned have sometimes been granted this request) Because they said they were very sorry or something. Mahz wants to warn rather than outright ban, which becomes a problem when nothing seemingly happens to the user you've reported.

Their hands may be tied more than you'd think. At least that was my impression when I spoke to them about these kinds of things.

I'm sure the mods warn, probably in PMs- I know they have done things before because I've reported others in the past who have been banned.

As for the rules thing I get that each situation is different and it's not completely necessary to have a ruleset, but I think for the sake of the community it would be nice to get clear rules on behavior etc.

Not sure if that explains everything and I'm not quite sure it is still the same situation with rule enforcement.
@catchamber can't the guy have a vacation? I mean, how much are you paying for this site? As far as I can tell, it's still free.

While I do agree mahz is busy and deserves time off, that's not to say that he should not be criticized for his lack of activity. There are plenty of qualified people willing to step in and do part of his job, if not all. I feel that Mahz often leaves much of site administration to himself, which would be fine if he was active.

I'm sure people would be willing to donate to have a coder do some work, or maybe we have some coders in the community who are willing to step up. Mahz just doesn't want that to happen, due to some moral code or something, which again is understandable, but it doesn't do wonders for the site.
IMO, the most pressing problem with the site is the lack of updates from the site or Mahz. I get he's a busy guy I really do, but it's kind of disheartening when you don't even get a "hey I'm still alive." Also, another issue is mahz's idea of punishment. I get that he wants to be a fair and forgiving guy, but some people need to be banned perm. Mods need more support/power to do things basically. There probably needs to be another admin as well, but I doubt Mahz will allow this to occur since we've only ever had Mahz as an admin from my time here.

Just my two cents.
Interested, I suppose.

Though I would ask if cleaners strictly just use magic? Couldn't find an answer sifting through the info given.
... Is there even a contest going on?

With the rest of the team visiting Robert, Grane figured he might as well clear out Delta’s locker. Find personal effects to send back to the family; It was the least he could do. Hell, they had been shipped out so fast Delta didn’t really lock much up. Made the job easier. The locker was organized well, clean and uncluttered. It was expected for someone with some military background.

Then again, there wasn’t much to begin with. There was only a duffel bag, some ammo belts, and a pair of binoculars. The ammo belts didn’t carry much, so he set those aside quickly. Grane grabbed the duffel bag next, slowly shifting through it’s contents.

He found an expensive sounding brand of coffee beans, along with some various tools he assumed were for brewing said coffee. Well, in the short hours he knew the kid, Delta did mention something about coffee. Perhaps he’d keep this for himself. A sort of memento to the fallen sharpshooter.

A teddy bear was next. For a military sniper, it was a bit odd. But perhaps Delta had a soft spot for stuffed animals. And he was an airhead. A good shot, but still an airhead.

Finally, Grane pulled out a photograph. It was Delta, next to a girl he assumed was a sister of sorts. Upon closer inspection, there was some writing on the back of the photo.

Well… Grane figured he should write a letter of sorts. Usually all families got were some copypasted crap that offered little closure.

While Grane did twist a lot of facts, or outright lied... he figured it was better that way. He left out the parts where it was probably Robert's fault, and the part where Delta was dragged away before he could do much. At least this way, Delta's family might be able to move on more easily. The last thing they needed was to find a target for their resentment, or harbor more grief that he died for nothing. A harmless lie... or so he hoped.

Grane placed all of Delta's personal belongings back in the duffel bag, along with his letter, and placed the duffel bag on Delta's bed. He'd have to call someone down to pick it up. Grane was just glad he wasn't going to be the bearer of bad news. He'd rather face all the grimm in the world than tell someone's family to their face that their son/brother died on his first mission at Beacon.

@Lugubrious

RL? Just work and college. It's a grind. Not much to talk about.

RP wise, I'm just trying to get a post up short term.

Because when your entire city falls the first thing you want to do is declare war on half the major powers of the world.

He's just taking a strat from the ISIS rulebook
Finished for the most part. Feel free to judge it now.
