Hey guys, we moved forward!
So, what's up with this weird post and what should you do with it?

Character Knowledge:
* The ritual with the swan is new for everyone.
* The fact that Grimbold can change into wolf form, and (annoyingly) can change his clothes with him, is known to everybody who has been in the crew for over four months.

So what now?
If you want, you can have your character react to this situation (in a flashback way) but you could just skip that if you want.
From now you can have your character figure out how to fullfill the tasks that they are given. Also there is room for character (inter)action however you please. "Today" is tuesday, and on saturday the targets need to stay in. So that would give you four days. You have the freedom to move through those days at your own chosen speed (up till saturday), but since it might be interesting to have some player character interaction, I suggest we just start on tuesday and see where that goes.

Please ask if you have other questions.

Slightly uphill, a silhouette appeared in front of the big full moon that shone behind it.
A wolf, with thick grey fur, was waiting for the other animals to follow him. Once they were all together, he led them up the mountain, over a hidden path, through the forest.

The Shrine was waiting for them. A circle of large hewn stones, with a stone that could resemble an altar in the middle. At the side of the circle, there were some other stone structures, leaning against the mountainside. Altogether it could remind one of an ancient druidic build. A small sister of stonehenge perhaps. But much less known ofcourse. It was highly likely nobody else but Grimbold and the critter family knew about this place.
The wolf made a circling movement with his head, indicating the others to form a circle within the circle of stones.

On the ground around the altar, some lines and circles had been drawn in the earth. Other lines were made up of different kinds of powders. One black, white, oker.

As the wolf slowly walked towards the altar, he started changing. The fur transformed into a grey cloak. Once Grimbold arrived at the center of the circle, he was completely in human form again.
On the altar, a swan had been waiting. Not making a sound, not startled by all the movements around her. She just lay there, seeming to be at total peace, while she looked around at the other critters.

Grimbold wasn't happy with what he was about to do. It wasn't the first time, and it wouldn't be the last. But he did what he had to do. And his pupils needed to learn, because they had a long road ahead of them. While he was getting old.
He took his dagger out and held it up with both hands, blade pointing downwards at the swan.

"Opako senar, hambra manu, sepa kharta latangra ghudul"

With one swift strike, Grimbold brought the blade down. It struck the swan on her back, right between her wings. Only faintly, you could hear the swan gasping for air one last time, before she lost strength in her neck, and her head fell onto the altar.
An eerie silence struck the forest for a few seconds. No birds, no insects. No sounds. Nothing.
Then vaguely, a black smoke started coming from the swan. As if the entire beasts body was evaporating. The feathers melted into a heavy black smoke that was almost liquid. And eventually, the entire swan dissapeared. Thick black smoke rolled over the side of the altar and onto the ground, from where the swan had just dissapeard. The smoke spread across the forest floor, before slowly evaporating into nothingness. On the altar only the skeleton of the swan remained.

Grimbold muttered some more words in an unknown language, as if he was paying his respect to the dead creature's body. Then he started collecting the bones in a bag, leaving the skull for last.

He looked around the circle.
“That was all for today”

He nodded in the direction of the cabin, the sign to head back.

After that Grimbold had changed into wolf from once again, and they all went back to the cabin. He didn't care to explain what just had happened, or even why it had. Once people had dressed themselves again, they started leaving. Heading home probably. Grimbold stood at the door, the same he had when they had entered. He greeted everyone, and watched them leave.

The next day, the sun rose above the horizon, meeting a cloudless blue sky. This time of the year, morning did allow the sun to shine her light on tallshade for a few hours, before the sun dissapeared behind the mountain.

Alright guys there's a new sherrif in town. Roze will be co-GM from now on. Which means she will know spoilers, but she still won't tell them to you;p Also, she has the authority to accept and decline new characters, and to point out the rules when they are being broken.
I expect her to be empathic, wise and fair in her decisions, and I expect the rest to respect her authority.
@Alina13 Hey! Thanks for submitting. It seems you didn't read through all the information in the OP of the OOC. I would like you to do that before revising the character to something I can accept.
A few things that I would like you to change:

* No mind control. Literally that example is stated as a no go in the OP.

* You only get one power. And it has to be a very limited power. You can find a more detailed description in de the OP, plus some examples. You could also read through the characters of the others for inspiration and to find out what has already been taken. Control over the weather would be too much. Plus creating a breeze is already the power of another character. So I would like you to change that. Think more in terms of something that could be considered bad luck, when you use it on someone.

* Grimbold is not a music teacher indeed, normally I would ask you think of another way your character came into contact with him. But we can go for the option that she's new to the group. So she has yet to meet Grimbold. We can work with that.

* That would also work for the relationship part. That part is only meant to describe relationships with other PLAYER characters, as they already knew each other before the RP started. So you can erase that part, and if you want to hang on to it, perhaps you can find a way to weave it into her backgroundstory. Since your character will be new (storywise), she doesn't need to have a relation established with any of the other characters yet.

* Though introverted and extroverted don't necessarily cancel each other out in real life, they can roughly be considered opposites. Making your character have both traits, gives her less depth instead of more. I'd like you to at least replace one of them with something else, or find another way to describe what you mean for her. This thread might help with some insight on that topic: 3 commandments for character creation
Also, 'wise' is not really a personality trait, but more of a qualification. Like saying somebody is physically strong. (And deep thinker seems similar and rather vague) More on this, you can find here: how to RP certain traits
All in all I'd like you to rethink her traits.

So while I don't mean to scare you off with these demands, I do need to get a feeling that we're on the same wavelength. That you understand not only the rules but also know what's going on. I definitely share these pet peeves And I would like people to actually read each others posts. Starting with the OP in the OOC. It's up to you to decide whether this is a standard that you can meet.

That being said, I do like you to join the RP and I appreciate the effort you already took by filling out the CS. I'm looking forward to your revised character.

Foxy

Location; Grimbold's Cabin

Lame... Ofcourse they were going out. Well at least he could be Fox! His favorite alter ego. And derping as animals was always fun. The target he was assigned to was a problem though. He knew her name as she visited the library occasionally. His power was straightwforward enough to actually help her sprain an ankle. But she seemed like an innocent girl. She didn't deserve that. He had to find another way. But that was for later to worry about.
Robert stood up and stretched his arms up and out while yawning. After a last sip of rum, he put his flask on the table and started transforming. No need to change in secret somewhere. His clothes would pretty much fall off of him when he shrunk to fox form.
Though the entire body transforming was an unsettling feeling, the weirdest part was how the skull changed form. The protruding of the jaw and nose into a snout. Rob was pretty sure he could hear a grinding sound as the parietal and frontal bone in his skull flattened. The extension of the ears and the growing of the tail and fur were a more comfortable part of the transformation. He liked having a tail a lot. Within seconds the boy had seemingly dissapeared, only leaving behind the things he was wearing, as they fell to the ground.

And there was that.
The Fantastic mister fox wiggled around to find it's way out of the pile of clothes that he was in. His snout found an exit through the neck of his sweater. The struggle was short and easy, and within seconds he had escaped his cotton cage.
Smells were the first thing that came to him. everything was so strong. Plus the sounds. He could hear a mouse walking outside the cabin. And some bird flapping it's wings, probably Terry or Sky.
He jumped on the table to oversee how the rest was doing with their transformations. Then he rolled around a few times. And hugged his own tail. Being an animal had something liberating. You could act like one.
So this is how I imagine Rob and Eddie having fun in animal form:

playing around

don't chew on my face

Cracking jokes

Rob: Giddy up!
Eddie: Get of my back, we're naked.
Rob: It's not gay if we are animals.
great questions.
You can use your powers while in animal form.
Small usage of your power has no negative effect. Though a constant use will definitely wear you out.
The options for your power to work are all fine by me. Though I think your target should be at least within seeing/hearing distance.
So I hope I didn't scare anyone out of posting from here. The conversation can just continue casually while people randomly start morphing into critters. Or if the girls don't want to be naked in front of the others when they return, they can use that extra room to change, so their clothes will be there when they get back. when everybody is shifted, I will guide the story along.

So this is the OOC explaination of what's happening or what's going to happen in the IC:
Right now, Grimbold is expecting everybody to change into their animal forms. Then we're heading for the shrine. Something will happen there, and that will be the end of the night.

Then: you can pick or create an NPC that you can torment. Which gives you the opportunity to figure out how you can best torment somebody with your powers :p
It's not totally free though. the person you're tormenting must be between 16 and 25 and not disabled (yet). Since you're getting a specific target per person, this gives you the opportunity to choose somebody that is convenient for you, or otherwise interesting. For instance: Daniël's target could be one of his customers. It might be a regular, it might be one that he never met before but that just happens to enter his café and he just happens to hear his name.
Another interesting example might be for Eddie, if he learns that his target is the tomboy redhead that he is currently smitten by. But that is Biscuit's choice.
So choose a name that Grimbold gives you, that fits.

Then: I will give you some time to play out this current week. You could go hunt your target down solo, or together, make a plan to do something to him everyday. Or just do something on friday night. As long as it will prove effective. You could also fail. but at least most of you should succeed. I trust in your sense of realism to also write the consequences of your tormentations.
The rest of your time, you can use for whatever you want to do. Mingle with the other characters or write some more about your character's daily life.

I hope that will work for all of you. I case of questions or if you feel stuck, please ask/tell me. I'm here to help you out. You can throw it in the OOC as well, others might have a good idea. Enjoy :)

But first we'll visit that shrine.
So guys, I'll add an explanation to what's happening in the IC. just give me a minute to type it up :p
