What did that language mean?
Using this: http://eeemo.net/

For demonic speech. Demonic speech itself will lack certain words, considering that it's a horrible language used for dominion and destruction. Well, it's possible to express some feelings, but it'll be quite roundabout. Like 'peace' will mean:

"A̶ ͘t͟ime ǫf̧ ͝lack͠ of war ͡whe̸r͡e͜ it͏ ͘is ̶bene͞fic̢iál̕ f́o̧r̀ b͡o͟t̶h ̡gr͝o̸ups.̶"
"U͝r͝g͝h, wh͝at is̸ that́ ͡n͘o͢i̸se?"

The demon opened his eyes weakly. The sound of bones getting chopped and smashed was something he hadn't heard in a long time, not since he first came into these catacombs. He cleared up a hard-to-reach, upper area that probably served as some sort of ventilation (why a bunch of catacombs had ventilation eluded him) as his little personal demon lair.

Ever since the civilians of the nearby village of Widds chased Adell out over a murder blamed on him, he spent his time hidden here. He only went out to get food, a hard enough business as it was. He couldn't raid the crops, and hunting in the post-apocalyptic world was difficult. There were those normal folk (physically, perhaps not mentally) that attacked him out of hatred, to which he would never admit to cannibalising their remains. He did, but he never would dare admit it.

Adell peeked his head out from the his hiding spot, his horns and white hair first showing up from the edge of his vantage point before his glowing, emotionless red eyes. A woman, a tall one with a skintone mixed between orcish grey and the light pink of an average human's colouration, was surrounded by a bunch of skeletons. When the demons rose, the dead had to come along for the ride too, bemoaned quite a number of people Adell met.

Was she a treasure hunter? What sort of girl considered the magical trinkets of ancient history more important than her life? This woman looked tall, and definitely had the muscle implying a seasoned warrior, but he wondered if she could survive long enough to unravel the treasures.

His back appendages twitched. He wasn't sure what they did, even after more than 400 years of being like this. An former friend of his once compared it to a dog's tail, and found that his knife couldn't penetrate the carapace that had grown on his spine where these appendages spawned from.

Adell kept an eye on the circumstances below him. Death was so commonplace now, even in a world lacking people, that the world would feel nothing if this woman was cut down by skeletons. Perhaps he would feel nothing if she died.

"N̸o rįs͢k̵, no re͜war̢d.̡ That is probably what she thinks." His words skipped across Demonic and landed in Common. His Common wasn't as good as it used to be, but he hoped never to forget it.

A little blip in his heart said a little phrase.

"Ḑon't ̵le̶t̀ ͘t͡his̨ gir̷l d͝i̷e͟ th̸i͠s d̨ay."
You make it!

Demon-hood didn't grant him inches anywhere. Except for horns, longer ears and weird appendages from his back that makes it a little tricky to lie down.
That makes roughly 1.93 m with boots. Whoa, she's much effing taller than Adell. (He's almost 5'6")
How tall is Terra?
Open a window. Kei's gonna' barf.
Name: Prince Francis Machiavelli Enrico 'Fran' Dandolo
Prince of the Great Merchant House of Dandolo
Lord High Admiral of the Republic of Amalfi
Governor-General of Southern Amalfi Trading Company

Age: 20

Appearance:

Background/history: The 4th son of the current head of the House of Dandolo, Cosimo Medici Enrico Dandolo, Fran made great use of his father's connections to rise the hierarchy of the Republic of Amalfi. Serving as Lord High Admiral from the age of 16, reasonable and capable tutors, along with his own luck and some innate talent, allowed Fran to prosper in his role as an anti-pirate task force. At the age of 20, he was granted the position of Governor-General in the Southern Amalfi Trading Company after his 2nd brother, Giovanni Sforza Enrico Dandolo, committed suicide over a scandal involving the Trading Company, Alcean nobles and slave-trading. The trading company's bottom line, to Fran, seemed greatly affected by Janolf's takeover of Alcea and Ilvance's weakness in dealing with this threat.

Skills: Fran's skills mostly come from his ability to command navies, manage finances and oil the wheels of the heavy bureaucracy that is the Republic of Amalfi. He's an adept fencer, though his height grants him a disadvantage in combat.

He was born with magical skills, but he had never had formal tutoring in that affair.

Something else?: The Republic of Amalfi is a small nation that punches above its weight. Holding territory nearly 100 times smaller than Alcea or Ilvance, Amalfi's strength comes from its massive war chest, mercenaries and navy. A nominally democratic republic (like the Italian republics a long time ago), nepotism or bribery is basically the norm in progressing in politics. The current head of state of the Republic, known as the Doge of the Republic of Amalfi, is currently Fran's father, Cosimo Medici Enrico Dandolo.

While money means just about everything in Amalfi, the nation is highly adamant and proud of its independence and democratic culture. Whenever an external threat looms upon Amalfi, the Senate elects a 'Dictator' to oversee the protection of the Republic. This dictator, while with more powers than the Doge, may not overrule the Senate or install himself in a permanent position. Attempts at making the dictatorship permanent or installing a monarchy in the past have led to riots on the street, and even the most power hungry of merchant princes and nobles know better than to do so.
*bump* Where is everyone else? Any questions? Any chat?
