Glad to hear that customization will continue! Also not surprised to see that Alex is at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to pay grade - he's just a kid with natural talent surrounded by military vets, after all.

So, now to begin systematically copying the Marauder from the other thread. Papa wants to axe-fight people.
Posted. I'm assuming here that Carver's ability to sense other mythical creatures has been pretty severely blunted by how completely he's forgotten his own nature - he'll probably start wising up as he goes along.
Carver pulled back on the reins as August brought him up to the path towards the castle. Haste was all well and good, but it would not do to go galloping up such a winding and steep road - certainly not with the cliffs nearby.

As his horse picked his way up the path, the knight cast his gaze out at the surrounding area. The ocean was wide and blue. The forest was deep and serene. The castle was magnificent, and clearly ancient, and somehow... familiar?

Black wings beat the wind into his face. Teeth like swords, breath like a furnace, eyes wild with hatred. It perches atop the tower and roars a challenge to any man who would slay it. But there are no men...

The knight shook his head clear of the vision. A flight of fancy, nothing more - perhaps a tale he'd heard of some similar castle, half-remembered. If he'd learned anything in the past few months, it was that there were no such monsters; this was a world of mortal men, and mighty deeds.

Peering ahead, he got sight of a shape coming down the path towards him. A woman, almost shimmering by some trick of the light. She moved with more grace than the knight would have believed possible. She was lovely.

"Hello, my lady!" he called out to her. "I am Ser Carver, knight errant in search of a noble quest. It is my honor to make the acquaintance of one so lovely as yourself, though I must ask - is it safe for you to be wandering alone at this hour?"
The sun was just beginning to set as Carver rode into the small village, casting his gaze this way and that. He spotted a group of farmers pushing a wheelbarrow and called out to them, "What ho, friends! Keeping well?" The men simply turned their gazes downward and did not respond, hurrying on their way.

Carver sighed at that. It seemed men in armor were seldom trusted in these parts - doubtless the result of a few despotic nobles abusing their power to rob and injure the commonfolk. These were no true knights, Carver was sure of that. He wasn't sure how, but he knew that the world hadn't always been like this, grim and cynical and dark. This was not the way it was supposed to be...

The knight shook his head clear of those thoughts. These episodes of contemplation did no good for anyone. The world was the way it was, and it was the task of any true knight to improve it. "On then, August. Let us see if the folk of that castle have any tasks for a knight and his noble steed." Carver clicked his tongue and the horse broke into a trot, then a gallop, carrying him up the winding path, towards the castle on the cliff.
Name: Carver
Race: Fae Entity That Appears Human
Apparent Age: 22
Actual Age: ??
Appearance:

As a human, Carver appears as pictured above. In his true form, he looks much the same, though he never takes the armor off, his eyes glow bright blue, and he is positively radiant with golden light. A more interesting change occurs with his horse, August - ordinarily, he appears as a simple brown stallion, trained as a war horse. In his true form, his pelt becomes a glowing golden, while his mane transforms into wisps of blue energy.
Profession: Knight Errant
Possessions: His heavy plate armor, his sword and shield, his warhorse, and nothing else.
Skills/Magic/Talents: Carver is gifted in the art of combat, using his sword and shield as a master would. He's also a quite capable horseman, jouster, and tactician, as well as having a knack for basically any martial talent one could think of.
Though he's unaware of it, he can also magically manifest Fae warriors to aid him in combat. They appear as generic, faceless knights and men-at-arms who just happen to be glowing with golden light. They will obey his commands unhesitatingly (they won't kill an innocent or do anything overtly amoral, but then, he'd never ask them to) and vanish completely once he dismisses them or they are struck down. He can only call upon them when the open sky is above his head, and when summoned, they will appear in front of him and await his orders. In his heyday, he could summon whole armies of them, though diminished as he is, he'd be lucky to summon one or two - if he even knew that he could.
Demeanour: Carver is the quintessential knight - he is obsessed with justice, honor, courage, and compassion. He's a compulsive do-gooder and sometimes a bit of a stick in the mud, and his mannerisms will likely seem strange to some, but he is really, fundamentally a good person out to spread good into the world.
History: Seven months ago, Carver awoke with no idea who he was or what he was doing. The only thing he could remember about his past was a purpose: protect the innocent. Fight the good fight. Since then, he has wandered across the land in an attempt to further this goal. He has fought bandits, slain wild animals, and even assisted in smaller tasks and errands when the need seemed great, seeking to do good in the world regardless of the scale.
Edited, with relevant things!

He has some other powers tied into his forgotten backstory. Should I PM all that stuff to you, or add it to the CS?
Is interest still being accepted? Because if so, then hells to the yes, I am interested.
I'll keep an eye on this; I have a few ideas, but I may or may not have the time for it.

What would the classification be of a character whose primary power is altering their body into monstrous, yet physically capable forms? And would a character focused on hunting down other superpowered characters be welcome?
