"I'm just going to ignore what you just said." Zheng responded to the thought of being turned half hollow. He ordered a bowl of ramen with extra fatty pork and sake for the two of them. "On my first day I nearly died multiple times. The first mission I was assigned on was to kill hollows and defeat a shinigam controlling them. Killing the hollows was easy, so was smashing the baldy's face though..." His face darkened slightly. "A man with an ox skull on his head killed him and nearly killed me, I was saved by the third seat of my squad." The sake arrived first and he took a large gulp of it before speaking again. "My second mission was to apprehend a shinigami who was committing thefts and other crimes. Me and this woman named Sinai had him on the ropes, but then some guy suddenly killed him, took the bag that the guy was carrying and then summoned a swarm of hollows by breaking a pill. The captain in charge had to help us out because there were so many of them, I lost track how many I killed." He took another sip of his saki. It was warming him up inside. "The guy got a way though."

Mukei chuckled with what Zheng said "Soo I'll take that as a no" He said with a sheepish grin. He heard what Zheng had ordered, Mukei already sniffing the delightful meat from the kitchen "Ahh smell delicious" He turned to Zheng, an eyebrow raised and intrigued "My my, two missions already? Lucky you, I've just been hitting the books the entire time" He said, stretching and raising his arms upwards and twisting his chest to crack his spine. "Interesting though, I wonder how strong a 3rd seat actually is" He asked himself, scratching his own chin. He continued to place his elbow on the table, resting his chin on his hand. "Sounds like you've had quite the experience Zane, already going on a mission with your captain. Seems like you made the right choice" He said with a chuckle. "But interesting, from the sound of it it sounds like he had a hollow bait. Were there any left over?" He asked with a curious tone

Which meant that her movement should have been noticed, but it wasn't. She just appeared outside.Plus, leads me to thinking, is Observation Haki a passive? Armourment Haki is always been shouted out, loudly, before use, but Observation Haki has never actually been 'activated' by Luffy.

I think it's kinda both, because Luffy does seem to use it without any sign of activating but Rayleigh also used it actively to see people's auras

"Jeez, what did you expect me to ask? To turn me into half a hollow?" He laughed slightly at the suggestion, not thinking that Mukei would take it seriously. It's been awhile since he's eaten anything as well too. After yesterday he just crashed on his bed and slept the night away. After all, it's not everyday you fight a horde of hollows on the first day of your job. "You know, you could've just asked me before hand. It would've been a lot better than you just sneaking me off in your sleep and then experimenting on me. Now that would've been a rude awakening." He chuckled as they arrived at the stand, pushing the curtains away as he sat down.

"Hmmm turning you half hollow?" Mukei said to himself, rubbing his chin. He grinned and nodded "Now that'll be interesting! You just gave me an idea Zheng, thanks!" He said, patting his friend in the back. He felt like a fool, not thinking of it before. He looked at Zheng "Oh you realized that? Perhaps I should of given you more sedatives" He said with a chuckle as they entered the shop. Mukei took a seat beside Zheng and ordered some ramen "So how has the Squad 7 life been? Is it as exciting as you expected it to be?"
