I've sort of been watching this thread play out for however long.

Felt the need to express my interest because of it.

...

I'll make a CS soon.
I'd say Valence is "done" for the IC day. Might have one more post of him back at his lab or something, though.

Tomorrow, though...

The Crusader Bot had been distracted by the prospect of trying to hit Aya. That, combined with the fact that it was also shorting out from the water, made it extremely vulnerable to a powerful attack. The beam of blue roared across the port, enveloping the robot in a blast of blue. Almost immediately, an explosion followed. When the smoke cleared, a sparking, singed robot was left in its place, although it was still—despite all odds—standing. The giant was briefly stationary... before shutting down and falling to the ground. The amount of sparks increased ten-fold, followed by a series of explosions - none of them quite large enough to reach anyone without them having been particularly close already. Needless to say, the robotic giant was defeated, and with its defeat, Valence’s detainment would surely follow...

...

Well, it would have followed. From submarine, a voice could be heard. It was the recognizable voice of the young genius himself.

“You killed my robot! That’s it, you’re OFFICIALLY on my to-kill list!”

Somehow, during the charge up of the Blue Buster beam, Valence had managed to make his way back into the submarine.

“Stupid heroes, This is not over!”

As he said this, the submarine gradually began to submerge back into the water, poor paint job and all.

“I’ll definitely be back!”

...He probably wouldn’t be back any time soon. Not at the port anyway; he had only managed to escape with some materials, not nearly as much as he had wanted to obtain from the attack on Ginmura's harbour. The submarine had fully submerged itself at this point, disappearing beneath the rolling waves. If you listened closely, it might've been possible to hear Valence stomping on the floor of the submarine in frustration.

In other words, it was a clear victory for the heroes—and SUPER—yet again.

Aya’s paint can assault upon the Crusader Bot proved to be somewhat effective. The bitter cold of the white paint can had managed to slow the hulking robot to a halt, and coupled with the red can, it had created water which quickly proved to take a toll on Valence’s robot prototype. Sparks gradually made themselves known, and the metal giant made various jittering noises. Of course, this particular robot would not be taken down by the water created by the paint cans alone, and it still had enough power to swing at Aya with one of its arms.

The trio of (still living) footsoldiers had seemingly decided it was more important to pursue Kiko, and did so quite doggedly - despite the fact that their melee weapons had proven themselves to be rather ineffective already.

Valence himself was still behind that same crate, plotting his escape. His current “steal all the materials” plan was definitely coming to a halt, and it was annoying.

Still, if there was one thing Valence was notorious for, it was escaping at the last minute, and given the situation, it was about time Valence did just that...

Unlike the previous footsoldier robots, the Crusader Bot had managed to hit Kiko with a barrage of bullets. The telltale yelp in addition to audible sound of a person hitting the ground told Valence that Kiko had been knocked down by the barrage.

This definitely reinforced the idea that he needed to give his footsoldiers more ranged weaponry - but that was for another time.

The remaining footsoldier robots took the opportunity to approach Kiko while she was down, and were preparing to strike at her again. As of now, the Crusader Bot prototype coupled with the remaining footsoldiers seemed like they were a match for the opposing D-Class hero, but Valence wasn't quite convinced that he would win this round; she’d probably just fly over the robots again or something. The robots had managed to load a low but still suitable amount of materials into the submarine, and he could just rebuild the ones that were destroyed back at the lab.

Yep, now would be a good time to esca—

“Oi, Val. It's been a while, hasn't it?”

Valence turned around to see Aya sitting atop one of the crates, she was one of the many heroes that have stopped Valence’s schemes in the past.

“Ugh, It’s the stupid paint monkey!”

“You know, the paint jobs on those crazy tall robots seem to be getting shittier by the week. Seriously, it's not just the durability of your metal minions that need improving.”

“Whatever! Just wait until my next robot attacks this idiot city, it’ll look amazing while it does it!”

The young inventor ran from behind one of the crates to the back of another, aiming to avoid both of the heroes.

“You should be more focused on surviving this!”

Pressing the the touchpad once more, Valence commanded the Crusader Bot to aim for both of the heroes, directing each of its arms to fire at both the grounded Kiko and a sitting Aya.
I was actually going to have Valence make a daring escape in the poorly-painted submarine, although I think I'll have him stay a bit longer since Aya's arrived on the scene too. Post'll be up soon™.

Two more of his robots had been destroyed. Things were looking rather bad for Valence at this point, and it made him much more angry than he was before. What’s more, he hadn’t actually had the foresight to give any of his robots any ranged weapons this time, and he watched as Kiko simply dodged the melee attacks of his footsoldier robots with ease, and began to speed towards him.

He made a mental note to give his soldiers ranged weapons later. At this point in time though, it seemed that Kiko was trying to reason with him yet again.

“You know, if you worked with legal researchers, it would be a lot easier to get these materials! We don't have to fight! If this is all you want, there's a lot of people who could help you!”

“I don’t remember asking for a sermon! Those researchers pale in comparison to me!”

As the girl flew high above the heads of the robots to approach Valence directly, the young inventor took the initiative to hop off of the submarine and run behind one of the many crates that dotted the port. This was probably one of the few times someone thought to target Valence rather than his robots. To be fair though, he normally operated from his “secret laboratory” or whatnot, using monitors and screens in order to talk to (and insult) the various heroes that would stop him.

“Quit chasing me, dork! It’s against the rules! It’s illegal! It’s cheating!”

As Valence came up with various “justifications” as to why Kiko shouldn’t target him, he decided it was time to use that “secret weapon” that he had been keeping within the submarine. He pressed the touchpad of the Universal Manipulator™ frantically, causing a rumbling to sound from within the submarine, followed by several stomps and clangs. From the submarine appeared the final robot, significantly larger than the footsoldier robots prior. It had no hands, and was instead equipped with two guns in the place of gauntlets. This was the “Crusader Bot” - and a prototype of it at that. The metallic being crashed onto the port from the submarine, began to aim toward the Machine Doll during her flight - and prepared to start firing.

Needless to say, Valence was furious at the idea of someone interrupting his plans yet again. He had suspected that the girl was a hero of some sort, and his suspicions turned out to be true as the girl identified herself.

"My name is Machine Doll Kiko... and I’m a hero!"

“I knew it! You idiotic heroes are always getting in my way!”

Valence wasn’t wrong; heroes often did get in his way. It was kind of the point, really.

“Whatever. I’m not about to let some random hero I don’t know stop my plans… again! After all, what’s a doll in comparison to a God?”

He was angry - but he wasn’t worried. His robots were powerful… at least in comparison to the average person; and there were like, five more of the footsoldier robots for “Kiko” to defeat, plus that ‘trump card’ that he was keeping within the submarine if things went awry.

“Robots, destroy this dweeb and get back to work!” Valence pressed the Universal Manipulator™ for the third time. The two robots near Kiko lunged forward with their weapons, and the other three footsoldier robots also moved into position to replace them should they fail in their attempt to "destroy" her.
I figured the robots were mooks who weren't too tough to deal with. ^^; Please say otherwise if that's not the case, [@Poke}.

Yeah, they're definitely mooks to be mowed down. I probably should've written for there to be a few more in that case, but it doesn't matter too much.

For a time, the attack on the port was going swimmingly for Valence. The robots had begun to take the materials from the warehouses. They would systematically drag out the crates, open them to look for any desirable supplies, and would proceed to load them into the poorly-painted submarine before repeating the process anew. At this rate, things were going to finish up very soon; the citizens had fled, the robots were functioning properly, and there was nobody to interrupt his plans. At least, that’s what he had thought.

In the distance, he could see a figure flying towards the port at a high speed.

“What the—?” His question was cut off by a shout.

"Haaah!"

The figure came crashing down onto the port, cleaving one of Valence’s robots with an energy blade of blue. The robot had been cut into two; the two halves dropping to the ground with an audible clang.

The figure was a girl. An armoured girl. An armoured girl with an energy blade. Valence didn’t recognize this one. Was she a hero of some sort? He didn’t know. The girl proceeded to lecture him on what he was doing.

“... Stealing... is wrong!”

“... So?” Valence replied.

“Who exactly are you, anyway? You can’t lecture me - the MACHINE GOD!” Valence continued, stomping on the ground as he did so.

With that, Valence pressed the touchpad of the Universal Manipulator™ again, commanding two of the other footsoldier robots to approach the girl. One wielded an energy axe, the other wielded a spear with an energy tip. They stopped a few metres in front of her, and would be prompted to attack if she came too close.

“Identify yourself.” Valence said, pointing at the armoured girl.
