Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Unnamed Forest - ???
Hiroko leaned over the balcony of her small apartment. The convenience store dinner disposed into the nearly full garbage bag to the side of her door. She took a drag of her cigarette as she turned her eyes to the sky - wondering idly to herself if there was anything else to do. Probably needed to get rid of that garbage bag sooner than later. Was there anything she needed to buy? Her refrigerator was practically empty but it wasn't like she cooked a lot and it'll just rot anyway.

Was it just her or were the stars glowing brighter?

Hiroko didn't get to think about it as the world tilted and she landed onto the ground with a loud thud, sprawling her lit cigarette to the side. "Fuck.." Hiroko muttered in pain as she rose to her fours. Grass and dirt? Wasn't she just at her apartment a second before? Hiroko sat up and looked around just in time for a flash of bright light to pass over her. She winced and just as quickly, the light pointed in another direction. Seeing black, she rubbed her eyes with the heel of her palm. Where exactly was she? Who were these people with her? What kind of situation did she find herself in now? Did some loan sharks mistake her for someone else and threw her and these people to their deaths in the middle of a- she looked around to confirm it - forest?

The owner of the light from earlier had spoken up about signal. Dazed but nonetheless knowing that cooperating with these equally confused people might be her best bet, she took hers out. Her face pulled back to a momentary sneer as the bright light of her own phone threatened to temporarily blind her. She quickly lowered the brightness before staring at the bars at the corner of her phone. It remained at a frustrating zero bars complete with the cross mark over the signal symbol. "None on mine." She responded as she stood up, dusting herself off before stomping on the lit cigarette that had escaped her mouth earlier. She didn't want to cause a forest fire with them in it.

A torii stood before them if a little worse for wear. She found comfort in the knowledge that they might not be far away from civilization if there was a shrine nearby. They just needed to find where said civilization was.

She turned back to the others, jutting her thumb towards the torii. "Looks like we might not be too far from a town at least... whoever threw us out here might have just aimed to give a message." Hiroko raised a hand to scratch the back of her neck. It wasn't like she had made any enemies. She paid back her debts if she had any and didn't cross any unruly territory that might land her in the wrong place at the wrong time. "I'm Ikazuchi Hiroko. Might as well get to know who I'm trekking with." She attempted at a light jab to hopefully alleviate some tension.
Mate I didn't even notice I'm playing the only female this time huh?
That five foot flat Hero of Might really went baseball star on that poor goblin, it was quite a fun sight. Not to mention, she also kind of crushed another's skull by just throwing a rock. That was amusing.
If anything, the main issue is me being on the other side of the world for consistent collabs. My apologies lmao
It'll take a while though because of timezone differences but we'll have it up as soon as we can.
@Dark Cloud

Roger, roger. We've already started the collab but the group could meet each other halfway maybe?
@DraconiWarlord

Oh hey dude, if you want, I can write with ya in the meantime if Kiwi and Dark aren't done yet? Gar's heading to the diner so they can talk for a bit too plus he's acting as the Man of Mystery so maybe Jay has some questions?

Walking through the woods so early in the morning was relaxing. Or, it should be for most people. Garfield, on the other hand, had a different goal from just merely spending time with nature. He had made it one of his duties to keep an eye out for the... other residents of Gravity Falls. It was a thankless job. Mentioning it to anyone would just end up with people calling you senile and moving on with their lives. Garfield should know - it would be how he would react if someone told him about the things he'd seen.

He fixed the warning sign that he had hammered onto the tree a few months ago. Garfield knew that if some kids really wanted to, they wouldn't pay attention to the warning signs but he at least wanted to make an effort. He stared into the deeper parts of the forest where they were holed up in. Garfield's ventured over a couple of times - usually to just check on them too. It wasn't a regular occurrence but if something went horribly wrong that was unexplainable, it was the first location he would go to.

Still, it had a mysterious allure to him. It was the main reason he had gotten involved with the supernatural in the first place. Some curiosity and a hike and the next thing he knew, he was keeping an eye out for them. Garfield really couldn't blame anyone who would venture out there - whether they be kids or adults themselves. The rumors and legends of Gravity Falls are the reasons why they still get tourists - why businesses are still open and the town gets traffic.

He shook his head, turning around to head back home. There was a time and place for curious adventuring and unfortunately, he had other duties to attend to.

The morning rounds were finished before the sun had even risen. He pushed open the door with a small grunt and was greeted with his wife sitting on their comfy chair, watching a documentary. "Welcome back Gar." She rose from her position, pausing the documentary and giving him a peck on the cheek as he hung up his coat. "How was your walk? Found anything interesting?" She questioned as she headed back to the seat, eyes following her husband as he began to put away his things from his patrol. They never went out to the woods without some form of protection nowadays. It was just for emergencies but you'd never know what would pounce on you when you're deep enough.

"Well, everything's calm on the homefront. Been a while since any of them showed up." Garfield took a seat beside Emma, letting out a sigh of relief as they settled against each other. He could feel his tense muscles begin to relax the longer he stayed with Emma. "Think we should visit Vex to make sure?" He mumbled out, his consciousness already drifting away.

Emma let out a warm laugh. "I think if something's really amiss, Vex would contact us first. Don't worry about it." Garfield had already dozed off as she said this. She looked over at the clock. She really should be getting ready but between Garfield's warmth and the droning of the documentary, sleep began to drag her back. Settling into him and feeling his arm wrap around her shoulders, she drifted off as well.

Garfield woke up to the jingling of Emma's keys. "You good there, sleepyhead?" His only response was a groan as he began to stir. She chuckled. "I'm heading off to school. We have a meeting coming up." She began to put on her shoes. "How about you? What's the agenda for today?"

Garfield stood up and stretched, trying to recount what he should be doing for today. "Breakfast at the Diner first and foremost. Then I'm heading over to the Mystery Shack to clean up and prepare just in case some customers come over. It's been a few years since he had been passed the mantle of the Man of Mystery. It was supposed to be a temporary job until they found an apt replacement but it ended up falling to him. He wasn't complaining though. It was a good job to keep himself busy and he was helping out the Price family while he was at it.

Emma walked over to him and smiled while patting his head. "Alright then. It's time to wake up." Her hand dropped to his cheek and pulled to which he yelped.

"Hey- hey- I'm awake!"

"Good!" She dropped down to give him a kiss. "I'll see you later for dinner then?"

Rubbing his cheek, he nodded. "Or earlier. Take care. Love you."

"Love you too!" With that, Emma was the first one out of the door.

With a sigh, he headed off to grab a change of clothes and a shower. Once he was done with that, he passed by the kitchen and debated whether or not chugging down a cup of coffee now would be worth it or just ordering one later at the diner. He could just drink one now and one later again - there wouldn't be any harm to that right? As he approached it, he spotted a small note propped up on the coffee machine.

'Remember our deal'

"Thorough, aren't we?" He grumbled as he peeled away from the coffee machine. After checking the entire house, he grabbed his flannel and headed out.

As Garfield made his way to the diner, he listed off what else he should do. Robin and the kids were more than capable of running the Mystery Shack themselves and he had already inspected all of the items there to make sure nothing was dangerous. As far as he knew, only some of them were real. There weren't many weird rumors circulating around Gravity Falls. There was the radio that's been spouting off weird messages in the middle of the night in Faustine's place so he'll swing by at some point to check it out.

Ah yes, another normal day in Gravity Falls.

Village of Kotana
Kaito's fears weren't unfounded. If their enemy had such a thing themselves, then it would be all the more dangerous. Hiroko didn't want to assume that just because they've beaten a couple of goblins without prior training that they'd be able to defeat highly trained soldiers. If they had such firepower and they only had some low tier magic, a sword, and a bow - well, they would likely just perish as soon as they entered the battlefield no matter the blessing given to them.

Well, Hiroko would be damned if she'd die now after everything that had happened in her life.

"Better to have something to shoot them back with than not, right? Still, I get what you mean. If he's as influential as I think he is, it's very likely they already have this technology in their hands. We just have to figure out how to counter it if we ever encounter them." That was the most they could do. If they can't beat them through sheer brute force, then outsmarting them would be their best bet.

Ipharia's reassurance of bringing them to the capital did put Hiroko at ease. Just a little though. But as long as they kept their mouths shut about being heroes from another world, then the Black King wouldn't find out about them. They were safe... for now. "Well then, we better hurry it up a bit yeah?" Her tone was lighter, trying to ease the mood of the group back to a more comfortable one.
