Current My roleplay is all tabletop these days, and the part of the guild I used to hang out in doesn't exist anymore. To my friends from this site, I will think of you, and maybe I'll see you again someday.

To my friends from chat: I guess I'll see you around, since I'm still not using discord.

I don't actively RP on the site these days, but I might be convinced to come back if there's a cool fantasy or sci-fi group RP that can capture my interest. Catch me on Second Life, Wildstar, or Chat.

My life has gotten really chaotic. I'll be back to RPing when I can.

I need a good generic fantasy RP, but I can't find one.

Only flaw I see with that is that animating the dead requires some value of gem, the cheapest being a 25g value one- kinda hard to find in jail. Other than that, even the most low-end version of animate dead requires being third level to get access to it.

Sujurak can Mage Hand at will- if ever the key gets left unattended, then he can pluck it, though I'm not counting on that. Killing another inmate might be a good way to create a chance to act, but I think that their guard would be up if anything if they had the key out near the prisoners. Only thing it would do for sure is get the person with the key to come closer, it wouldn't get their defences down.
Unless it's one dirty mother of a crit, I don't see it happening. It'd still take a chunk out of the door though!

What I can REALLY see him doing though is, once the breakout starts, scaring some newby guard so badly that he doesn't even fight and just leaves. Sujurak has a pretty large intimidate modifier, and it's only going to get bigger as time goes on. Not surprising really, considering that he's a 7 foot tall, fairly muscled Lizardman who carves creepy little totems out of bits of wood using his claws and then ties those totems into his clothing. I'd probably crap myself too.
Actually, Sujurak might be better in that regard- strength of 14, and the domain power of the Corruption domain lets him ignore the hardness on things for one attack per day.

I dunno if we'll break free fast or if we'll actually be prisoners for a while at the beginning- but the higher level we are when we DO break out, the more spectacular it'll be as we suddenly bust out magic on the guards and such. I can totally see Sujurak casting Hold Person on one of the guards then going all Temple of Doom and tearing his heart out with a coup de grace attack, since the guard is left helpless.
Part of why I ask is because if we can discuss what our characters are like OOCly, then we can figure out why they would be working as a group ICly. I've always found the "gather the group together" parts to be some of the most annoying bits of D&D games simply because it's a given that the characters are going to be working in a group anyway, the outcome is already known and so the entire time that they're chewing the fat about WHY they're joining together, actual adventuring is being missed out on. As such, having the characters have established connections ahead of time seems to work best.

It's not spoilers, this is part of the planning phase.

That's interesting. Never heard of that problem.

Which problem?
I meant other than a physical description. I'm not asking on behalf of our characters, I'm asking OOCly. Also, a chain gang tends to be a prison thing, it's not a slaver enterprise. If she's in with us, then she's a convicted criminal.

Also, here's a working version of the link:

Here's my character. I made a Witch.

Can you tell us anything about this character? There's nothing in the character sheet to give any sense of who they are, even their patron, "elements", is pretty generic and doesn't give any clues.

Eh, healing is overrated. If you die we can just bring you back from the dead. edit: of course it might not be YOU you but, hey who needs personality when you have undying loyal skeleton minions?

Or desiccated husks being moved around by a crew of odd little spirits?

Point is we got it under control :P
Also, at I think level seven, because of the death domain power Sujurak will be able to be healed by negative energy as though he was undead :D
Honestly I think the only part that really will need any update is what qualifies as a level 0 spell, since in pathfinder most classes can cast prepared 0 level spells all they want and the 0 level stuff in BoVD isn't balanced around that.

I have this mental image of Sujurak almost doing a parody scene of a Disney Princess, doing some big (and fairly macabre) song number, and instead of woodland animals flitting around, it's reanimated shrunken heads that are bouncing and rolling around and gibbering madly, and the little hoodoo spirits dancing about and diving in to masks and stuff to possess them and make them sing backup lines.
